Guest Reviews
(7/5): - Nice people and good welcome also good location close to the city Bathroom bit deity
- Jose (10/5): Very fun, welcoming and comfortable! - This place was amazing, not only were they very welcoming, they had a bunch of activities and necessities too get you around to the places needed with there on property transportation, the sights were absolutely amazing from the dining hall, with a beautiful view of Mount Fuji, the rooms were beyond comfortable! Nothing too report!
- Jessel (10/5): -

- Edward (10/5): - After hiking Mt Fuji this spot was a great place to rest and recover. The staff that greeted us were extremely friendly and helpful. We checked in to our large room that was clean and had everything we needed. We took advantage of the dinner buffet in the evening and then the breakfast buffet in the morning. The breakfast buffet was especially good and at a very reasonable price. The property itself is beautiful and provides a great view of Mt Fuji from the dining room. We also used the shuttle service to the nearby train station. If I’m in the area again I would definitely revisit.
- Joseph (6/5): - The beds and rooms are outdated.
- Isaac (4/5): - Food options not any, limited transportation to and from, bug issue
- Steven (8/5): - Standard room was very spacious, breakfast with a view of Mt. Fuji was great, and the facility amenities abounded.
- Nicole (10/5): - The dinner buffet was amazing and the staff were all very friendly and helpful! We made great use of their free shuttle as well!
- volume904 (4/5): Avoid unless you don’t like ac and do love mold - We stayed with our tour group for the school. Our guide had been there before and called it the haunted hotel. It’s a huge property with multiple buildings, upon arriving you can see one is completely uninhabitable. The one where food is served looks the best and then we were in the next building over which is extremely dated and mold visible in the room.
The 2 bedroom suites have the same crappy ac as the single rooms. The air blasts in one room but not the other, our girls had to blast a fan all night.
In our single room the ac won’t go under 20, but it sure wasn’t cold. Had to blast the fan too.
Great view of Mount Fuji and cheap. Tons of tennis courts. I assume they had a hey day years ago, but it is not now.
The resort was not packed. They are big about dog friendliness and I guess school groups and people with dogs got the crappy building.
My throat is swollen this morning. So much mold.
- ajK6755TT (2/5): Health hazard - Hazard Masquerading as a “Premium Resort”
If this is what passes for a premium resort, the bar must be buried underground. I have stayed in hostels with more dignity and cleanliness than this disaster of a property.
Let’s start with the bathroom, which was so filthy it bordered on a biohazard. There were unmistakable spots on the wall that appeared to be human feces and urine—yes, on the wall. That alone should have prompted a health inspection. The ceiling was mottled with mold stains, a grotesque reminder that this place hasn’t seen proper maintenance in years.
The air conditioner was equally disgusting, visibly caked with orange liquid substance and spewing foul-smelling air into the room. Anyone with allergies, asthma, or even a functioning immune system should steer far, far away. The front desk’s solution to this was to give me some room deodorant spray.
The wallpaper was peeling in multiple places, revealing mold beneath. Worse still, there were exposed electrical wires hanging out of the walls like some kind of sick joke. There was a used contact lens on the floor.
This isn’t just neglectful—it’s dangerous. No amount of dim lighting, marketing spin, or “premium” labeling can cover up the fact that this place is unsanitary, unsafe, and entirely unfit for paying guests.
Avoid this resort at all costs unless you’re nostalgic for the ambiance of a condemned building.
- Alejandro (10/5): - Thanks for a great time
- Egidio (10/5): - We had deer in our backyard we got two seperate rooms when we arrived they upgraded us for free and it was a townhouse per person.
Amazing shower
Amazing views
Town house was big
- Mika (8/5): -
- Jason (10/5): - Like the place and services ..
- Amanda (8/5): Short stay with amazing buffet for dinner and breakfast with a view of Mt Fuji - The view of Mt Fuji at dinner The golf course and pools are not operational.
- Roman (10/5): - Locals only sports base. Simply amazing
- Seung (6/5): - In terms of the space, this is a good place to stay there. However, I feel that the condition of property is probably in 80s.
Staffs are reasonably friendly but there is limited shuttle services from the town to this hotel.
- Prasad (8/5): - Good stay, staff was very good, rooms were clean and spacious, breakfast hall had a beautiful view of Mt.Fuji. Parking is a little far but manageable.
- Mitchell (6/5): - The resort could definitely use some TLC. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the room was a great size, etc, but much of the grounds are in a bit of disrepair.
- KA MING Kevin (8/5): - Nice hotel and friendly staff
- Samuel (8/5): - Property was located in a good location. We were upgraded which was a nice touch, unsure of where the free VIP Expedia gift card was located as wasn't given one. Room was large however could do with a refurb, some chipped paint and dated decor. However the stay was nice and the reception staff were friendly. Did not use the restaurant. Free parking and restaurants etc nearby but will need to drive for these.
Room was clean but as mentioned could do with a refurb but wouldn't deter me returning.
- Lourdes (6/5): - Hotel shuttles are unreliable. The bus driver in the morning much better than afternoon. My husband had to run after the afternoon bus although we had made a reservation and were standing at stop
- Lawrence Shiu Tong (8/5): - This is a very quiet hotel located at Mt. Fuji
- ISAAC (8/5): - There is limited parking; construction; and getting to your room requires a considerable amount of walking. The dinner price is high.
- Hong (8/5): - This hotel is located in a relatively “remote area”, far from public transportation. The hotel provides shuttle bus to and from the train station. The management was very nice to arrange the service and to take care of the luggage. They do not hesitated to talk to you on any issues in emails. if you arrive earlier in a day. The guest room is spacious, maybe because the hotel was built many years ago.
- Khang (10/5): - About 50 to 60 minutes drive from ShinFuji to Fuji Premium Resort. Staff were nice. Room was clean and spacious.
- Dharti (2/5): Nightmare - This place should not be called a resort. It was awful and creepy. It was very gross, worn down, out in the middle of NOWHERE. We couldn’t even get a taxi out there to take us to the Kawaguchiko station for our bus at 7:30am. The employee said you can walk it’s only 1 hour 😂 mind you it was icy from snowing the night before. Unfortunately, we had no choice and had to walk through the forest at 5am. It was a nightmare of a stay, I wanted to check out immediately but it was 8pm and limited places. Avoid this place all together.
- Ryosuke (8/5): -
- Po Sum (10/5): - Spacious and quiet rooms. Buffet are delicious with adequate choices.
- FREDERIC (10/5): - Very nice facilities (pool, tennis etc.) which are great for the kids. The resort is conveniently located close to Fujiten Snow resort, 12 km away.
- Suk Yan (8/5): -
- Jelestino (7/5): Good - Big room space Room lightings and the room is quite old
- Allan (10/5): - Staff was very friendly, room was very spacious. Food was excellent with a great view of mount Fuji. Easy to find with GPS and lots of parking.
Very quick drive down to the city, if renting a car be sure to equip winter tires in the winter months incase it starts to snow.
- CELIAR NORENA (6/5): - Big rooms but very old hotel
- Asfen (10/5): Great hotel and I would stay again. - Really enjoyed our stay at Fuji Premium Resort hotel.
I got a room that has two bedrooms in it, probably the biggest room we ever had from all of our stays in Japan. It has a separate sunroom and living room and a kitchen.
Hotel staff was friendly as well.
The laundry machine is free to use, you only need to pay for using the dryer. I had a big load of washing and only needed 300 yen for the dryer and my laundry was perfectly dry when I pick them up.
Parking is free too.
You do need to drive out a bit to find restaurants, but only a short drive and there are plenty to choose from.
We were there in winter. So, the hotel was not busy. This place is probably packed in summer.
- Verified traveler (10/5): -
- Richard (8/5): - Highlight of our stay here is definitely the traditional Japanese buffet breakfast - a healthy spread, the food is delicious and you can see Mr Fuji while dining by the window.
The rooms are well heated but a tad old and the furnitures can certainly use some upgrading work.
Also as the resort is tuck away in a forested area away from the town, getting to any convenience store or restaurant would be a challenge without a car.
- Jean (10/5): - This is a lovely facility with beautiful grounds. The room was wonderful with two separate bedrooms, living area, dining area with great view. Transport to and from train station is available by contacting resort, although had personal vehicle.
- natda (6/5): Bad experience with dirty hotel - The room is huge but very very old and dirty. Hopefully the hotel will keep clean more to meet at least the standard of the hotel criteria.
We checked in at night, so we are tired from the trip. It would be better if the staff would not throw the check in job to the trainee who knows nothing like his first day. Due to this, made us tired even more to wait for him to finished checking in job around 30mins. If the permanent staff wants the trainee to work please guide him how to work not let him gone error and dont know how to check in for the guests like that.
Also on the checked out day, i was surprised a lot when came back to the room at 9.20am after breakfast that my room was open widely. At that time my belongings and valuable things were spread in the room. I felt terrible with this hotel security and service a lot. And i will not come back here again.
- MEENU (4/5): - Way too hot and everything has to be scheduled
- Andy (7/5): Just average, not value for money - Breakfast is OK,location is bit hard to find, the building is bit confused and not clear, onsen only for limited accommodation. Onsen for every accommodation.
- Ee Beng (10/5): - Very isolated place especially after sunset at 430pm. Recommend for those who relax and rejuvenate traveler. . Not for people who want to see city at night because driving through the 2 forest is quite eerie
- Zafar (10/5): - Overall it was an excellent experience. I appreciate free shuttle service. Only probelem was that the heating unit in my room was making strange noises, some time too load. Other than that it is an excellent place. Service/staff was excellent too.
- Jones (9/5): Superb - It was clean I didn’t like how far away I had to park my car but this was only a problem when unloading the suitcases
- Sharon (10/5): - Employees very friendly. Hotel was very clean. Food was excellent. Beautiful views
- Mary Jo (10/5): - Loved the forest walk, the 2 bedroom apartment, the buffet breakfast and dinner. Courtesy ping pong for 1 hour while waiting for an early check in. Tennis available.
Enjoyed the shuttle service. All good.
- Jessica (4/5): - Travel to the resort was challenging. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We arrived hungry and went to the dinner buffet to find all the hot food cold. Instead we picked at the dessert bar and fresh fruit.
Our room had dark stains on multiple surfaces and was extremely dated. We heard blood curdling screams multiple times throughout the night, further prompting us to feel unsafe during our stay.
As we had already paid for the breakfast buffet, we went to find the same issue with temperatures. We left on the first shuttle out that morning.
- John (10/5): - Large room
- John (8/5): - Great value
- Mark (10/5): Nice and friendly - Reception and staff very friendly buffet was nice but we found the rooms very out dated
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The room size was great for us as a couple. Rooms are dated, but if you want space, you get it. The hotel wasn't walking distance from anything, but they do have a shuttle to the station and Fuji-Q Highland which was a big bonus when we found out.
- Verified traveler (8/5):
