Guest Reviews
- Arlon (7/5): - Didn't have the breakfast location was good TV should of worked
- Glanville (4/5): - Not like the picture on the website
- loretta (8/5): Felt like home & great for long stay - Staff especially Paula with the hot breakfast service also front desk staff were very helpful and friendly, just ring the bell. Also the room was spacious, very comfortable king bed, kitchen was great, loved the full size refrigerator and having a dishwasher, laundry & jacuzzi were such a bonus. I have already rebooked as it is such a great value and best staff. I wish it was closer to Edmonton but then it would cost more.
- Erik (8/5): -
- Anne (5/5): It was ok - No shower and hair dryer wasn’t working A shower was essential for me, don’t like sitting in a bathtub and trying to wash my king hair like that
- wcervo1 (3/5): -
- Upshall (6/5): - The price Cleanliness could have been better
- CHRIS (7/5): -
- Tracy (9/5): - Beds and sheets were very comfy. Donuts were the only good thing at breakfast.
- Tatsiana (10/5): -
- Tamerel (8/5): Quiet and co - It was able to accommodate me on short notice. Staff was friendly and the room was nice. Breakfast ended really early I thought.
- Picklyk (1/5): - You canceled my booking
- Matthew (8/5): Great 👍 - Convince N/a
- Mackay (4/5): Ok - Breakfast was decent The smell from the workout room when I went to and from elevator..and my TV didn't work
- Brian (7/5): -
- gurr (10/5): - The staff were so friendly and went out of there to please us The weather. It snowed.
- Loretta (10/5): - Still snells of old cigarette smoke but good stay and friendly staff.
- Jack (4/5): - check in was terrible. Had to call both phone numbers and still waited over 15 minutes. The buffet was empty when i arrived at 7am. Took 10-15 minutes to restock after i complained.
- David (2/5): - The room I booked showed photos of a jetted tub, Room had no jetted tub. Found a short straw with a white powder residue on top of bathroom mirror, as well as dirty cutlery in the drawer.
- Barbara (8/5): - It could use an update as in linens and towels
- Jessie (3/5): Did not feel safe - One of the beds was not sitting on a bed frame. It was just directly on the floor. The microwave door was broken every time you opened it. It almost fell right off. There were stains on the beds. And we found like what looked to be the top of a needle by the bottom of one of the beds. There was a musky smell in the room which I could have got over but the security latch was also ripped off.
- Hilaryann (10/5): - Easy parking, convenient check in and welcoming front desk gentleman.
Love the kitchenette. Full fridge, freezer, dishwasher and equipped with your basic needs for making meals.
Was really happy there was a bath tub!
Good black out blinds. Amazing pillows!
Room was clean, stocked and quiet. Location is perfect, just off the highway with gas stations and a Tim Hortons near by.
- wade (6/5): - There was a few repairs that needed to be completed in room. Toilet paper holder broken, cabinet had very loose and 1 hanging handles.
- Braeden (10/5): - It had everything we wanted and more
- Stephanie (2/5): - The staff were very nice but the rooms were rough. We got 2 queen beds and my bed was on the floor. There was no bed frame so I was worried about bugs. The room was also extremely dirty i
- Dev (10/5): Marvellous - 1st time I get a room with walk-in jacuzzi tub nd separate one extra full (But jacuzzi not working-wash room nd I like the kitchen with steel pans nd steel cutlery nd dishwasher with soap Property is good, clean from outside and inside without any bad smell, I like it , towels nd bed is very clean
- Hayley (2/5): - Our room was so dirty! The sinks had dirt and hair in it, the mirror in the hall was covered in spit marks, there was dried blood on the blanket, the toilet had orange ring and was just dirty! I’ve stayed in bad places but this is top 5 grossest places I’ve stayed. Thank god it was just to sleep as we were there for a wedding.
- Shaylynn (5/5): Male staff was great when he helped us. Waited 5 minutes to check in and had to call number multiple times. It was okay - Nice location. Went for breakfast and the yogurt expired 2 days ago, peeled our orange and it was rotten inside. The milk in the mini fridge wasn’t labeled and the spout part looked like thick expired milk on it so didn’t even risk having cereal. We had to go elsewhere for breakfast
- RYAN (6/5): - It was ok to sleep in just not the cleanest set up more for construction and work crews to stay longer
- Tyson (2/5): - Smells like smoke , long in the tooth, and dirty pubic hairs on the toilet.
- Fidelyn (8/5): - Staff isn’t accommodating, normally front desk is welcoming I understand it’s a late night but in a few words you would make guests welcome. Just saying here’s your password, there’s the kitchen for free breakfast etc. never mind that, it’s really when there’s too much noise from other guests throughout the night that’s off putting. Again not the management fault but our notice to guests that there’s a quiet time in respect to others. I stayed at this place before and I like it that’s why I went back.
- Mathew (10/5): - It was a last minute place for us. Easy getting the room. They rooms come with lots of space and are updated. Nice AC unit keeps the room nice and cool. Pet friendly made it an easy choice for us. They have a ok breakfast but can't complain. Will be staying there again.
- Vicki (8/5): - Great location. The room was very nicely set up. Kitchenette had all the amenities.
- Shannon (9/5): The staff was exceptionally helpful and polite. - Close to all amenities The gym
- Jonathan (8/5): - Staff was nice. We weren’t in the rooms much, we attended a family event so just slept here. Breakfast wasn’t great.
- Casey (6/5): - No house keeping not very clean
- Lorraine (6/5): - The staff was pleasant and happy to help wihth anything you need. I had 2 young children with me and staff was very good to them. The breakfast was hot and fresh with lots of options.
- Jade (9/5): Superb - Good place to stay, better than l hoped
- Chelsea (2/5): - Should invest in proper cleaning staff, worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Will never be back.
- Dayna (6/5): - Adequate room. I came back around 1:00am from seeing a late movie and was locked out. Fortunately , when I called the hotel they answered and were down to let me in 5 minutes later
- Melanson (8/5): Very good - I liked that I could ask for eggs to cook in my room instead of them having to cook more as they were busy and i wanted to have a nice warm breakfast when my better half woke up. They charged me 20$ extra per night ( we stayed almost a week long.) For mly little chi wawa to stay with us in the hotel room. But it was a great stay over all.
- Dezmond (8/5): Very good -
- Roy (10/5): - Nice place, looking forward to stay again
- Stacey (2/5): - There was no staff at the front desk you had to call for assistance. Continental breakfast was bought at the local grocery store. No in room cleaning service, you had to ask for fresh towels or simple making of the bed.
Terrible stay would not book again. Buyer be aware
- Harley (7/5): Good -
- Laverne (10/5): - Room is clean and quiet. Courteous staff.
- Justin (6/5): - Parking lot not plowed, and insufficient salt distributed on the lot and outdoor walkways. This is a hazard.
The hotel advertised complementary breakfast, but it was very minimal and not well presented. The coffee was awful.
- Angela (6/5): Been to worse, been at better for the price - Beds were comfortable. Pillows are the 1/2 pillows. Room was not completely cleaned. No face cloths. Called in the morning for some. Couldn’t understand the person on the phone. Never did get a facecloth. Continental breakfast was pretty sad. Not even tea. Bread, croissants, 2 types of cereal, yogurt & milk (not kept cold) apples, oranges, orange juice & coffee.
- JINE WOO (6/5): - Stay 1 night on the way to my work. Not much complain about hotel other than WIFI is horrable.
Some one make a lot of nosie (yelleing and running on the hole way) at midnight and wake me up cannot get back to slip because there are still nosie from them until 1-2 am. No one stops what their doing and make me more tired on my driving in the morning. I should not stop on the way.
- Jessica (4/5): - Our room was suppose to have two queen size beds, and it ended up being a double and a twin that had no box spring. The room wasn’t very clean and there was people blasting music and partying in other rooms until 4am.
- Helena (8/5): - Beds were clean and comfortable, kitchenette was very useful. No breakfast was included, and the coffee they said would be available in the lobby was stone cold. Overall adequate stay for a great price!
- Jim (4/5): - Don’t stay here
- Jim (2/5): - Don’t stay here
They make you pay upfront and if your stay is shorter they do not reimburse you.
There is no staff on at night so the hotel is wide open to whomever wants to walk in the parking lot is full of ice and ruts.
There is no complimentary breakfast as advertised.
All the hard surfaces and counter need to be washed.
Looks like at one time this was a beautiful place but current management is running it into the ground
- Nancy (8/5): - We had to check out early due to family issue in Fort McMurray. We checked out Saturday, February 21, 2925. I asked for a printed copy of my check out, and gentleman behind counter said he didn’t know how but would send via email. No receipt on Saturday Feb. 21, 2025, nor on Sunday Feb. 22,2025. Received receipt showing we stayed the full 4 nights. They said it was an Expedia issue.
Please credit me the 2 nights (sat. Feb. 21 & Sun, Feb22, 2025.
- Richard (10/5): - Convenient and affordable.
- Neil (8/5): - Was a nice room the kitchenette was a great feature if you needed a place to cook for yourselves. In the welcome book they stated the was a continental breakfast however there is no breakfast.
- Jay (7/5): Good -
- 5605 (7/5): It was OK. Don't know why no cont. breakfast. No restaurants within 60 km.(except timmies.) - Clean room, clean bathroom. Comfortable bed, good room heat control. Icy parking lot, a complete set up for a continental breakfast, right off the lobby, but nothing available, not even coffee, and the place seemed busy,(judging by the parking lot). Paid the original bill as presented, owners came at me at 09:00PM to extract the tax, which THEY forgot to put on the original bill. The front desk is not manned, 24/7, there is a sign saying if I need anything, to call a phone #. Our room did not get cleaned after our first night, I don't know why, so no clean/dry towel, etc.
- 5605 (5/5): Overall, nice place, getting a bit (used) worth the money, but will stay at the nearby Holliday Inn. - Nice room, clean bed was very comfy, all amenities worked well. Very good location for the purpose of my trip. Newer hotel, very nice bathroom. Full sized fridge, two burner hot plate. Fast wifi. The parking lot was a skating rink, i had to tell the proprietor to salt or sand the ice. Fridge was very noisy. Proprotor made and presented our bill for the three day stay(which I consider a contract), I paid the bill, and his wife(?) called my room at 09:00 at night asking for more money. The male did not charge me the Canada tax, on the original bill. I told her it was a negotiated price, which I paid, and she insisted. I and my brother, in an adjacent room, both had to pay the additional $24.00. They are set up for a continental breakfast(small dining room, tables, chairs, etc), but do not serve breakfast, not even coffee. There are no restaurants open before 11:00AM within 50 km, with the exception of Tim Hortons. A little effort in this department would go a long ways. The hotel seemed to be pretty much full, and I am sure I am not the only one who feels this way.
- Marcus (10/5): - Perfect for my needs
- Jordan (6/5): - .
- Holly (6/5): - The suite was spacious with a kitchenette that came in handy. However, there was no dish cloths or dish detergent. We had a 3 day stay and no one checked on us or provided coffee or extra towels. The rooms could use a recycling bin too. If breakfast is not being offered anymore they should remove ut from their brochure.
Otherwise the room was more than satisfactory for a low budget.
- robert (10/5): - Clean , friendly staff
- Wyatt (6/5): - Everyone was nice and the room was clean and tidy. But there was no breakfast there like promised on the ad
- Jappanjot (10/5): - Great
- Sandra (5/5): Passable - Location A bit shabby, breakfast advertised but not available
- Lina (8/5): Very good -
- Dustin (6/5): - Took 20 minutes to check in coudnt get ahold of front desk booked a king room and was given a roo. With 2 queens
- Robin (2/5): Potential but not up to average standards - Clean-ish. Box spring was broken. Wifi was spotty. No service from never-occupied front desk. Cleaners never restocked dishwasher soap, face cloths, coffee or towels. NO breakfast served. Potentially a 8.5/10 hotel. I rank it about 4
- Kathleen (2/5): - The room was dusty and urine around the base of the toilet. There credit/debit system was not working and they are writing down credit card numbers and leaving them unsecured at their front desk
- John Paul (10/5): - Great place
- Marilyn (8/5): - No dining facilities. Was a suite but was limited on dishes & cutlery until we discovered on the morning we were leaving that there were dishes in the dishwasher. Since we were unsure if they were clean or soiled we left our dishes in the sink. Beds were very comfortable, was okay for the amount of time we were in the room. Would stay here again.
- Aaron (8/5): - Only issue was that I was under the impression there was breakfast provided
- Jenna (4/5): Disappointing - Room was a good size and the beds were comfortable. Despite is saying breakfast included, there is no breakfast. Staff put one small box of cold stale croissants out and drip coffee but there was no sugar or cream and the cups were very tiny. They only gave us one roll of toilet paper for our 1 weeks stay with two girls and staff were never around to get more. We had to get extra rolls from other family members staying at the hotel, luckily they had been there a week earlier and had gotten an extra roll from staff but same issue.
- Jakki (4/5): - We were there for 4 night stay :
room towels not changed daily
garbage not emptied till 4 days
bed not made up till after 7 pm on our last night there
Do not replenished the coffee in our room till 4th night
Front desk is not attended too most of the day.
Coffee machine was broken in the free breakfast nook whole time we were there
Would not recommend anybody to stay there.
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anne (9/5): Superb -
- Margo (4/5): - The room itself was beautiful, and the beds were very comfortable. But that is the only good thing I can say. We were in town for a funeral and stayed 3 nights. We chose a room with a kitchenette and breakfast bar to save money. All 3 mornings, the breakfast bar was closed, the coffee pot in the room did not work, and 2 Wi-Fi passwords did not work. The heater in the room also did not work, so they brought us a baseboard heater. The hotel phone in the room did not work and there was never anyone at the front desk. We had only one roll of toilet paper and no washcloths at all.
- Randall (1/5): Was very disappointed, will not recommend - Location was fine No Staff at front desk for check in and check out, or evening for inquiries
Room was not clean, Wifi did not work
No Continental Breakfast available
Coffee machine in room was broken
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Customer service could be better. Found the packaging of a diabetic pen needle on the floor.
- Mike (8/5): Very good -
- Sonia (4/5): - I hate to write a review that will go nowhere. The reviews I read on your site were very mostly true! There were two recent ones which were good, so based on the fact that we trusted your site, we decided to check it out for ourselves. I even called to check on what availability meant with regards to breakfast. I was told that most don’t provide but that this one did. Why even show the beautiful dining room on website if it is not used. That is misrepresentation! We were told that why we would expect more when paying $60/night? We had towels but no facecloths, no spare toilet paper available for spare, 1 plate, no forks, a few cups (one very dirty), 2 glasses for a room for 4. The ice bucket was dirty and provided no bag, and the complimentary coffee cups were not provided but the lids were. The list goes on. I believe that if you keep them on your website, all this negativity will reflect on you! Never going back, big mistake. I guess you can trust reviews after all.
- Alan (10/5): - Close to everything
- Amber (8/5): - The property was decent and front staff was amazing.
- Tamara (10/5): - Stayed 2 nights for a wedding in town. Room was excellent. Clean; nice decor. Comfy beds. Good walking distance to the downtown core.
- Jamie (10/5): Pet friendly, clean and reasonably priced - Clean room, comfy bed.
- Christy (8/5): Very good -
- Kaitlyn (4/5): it was fine for our needs - the location was great, staff were friendly. Went to check in, they told us that our room wouldn't be ready until 7pm, offered us a queen room but we had booked for a king. Ended up having to pay more for another king room. Property wasn't the cleanest. Few things broken - didn't affect our stay.
- Bernie (6/5): - Some issues with the four rooms booked. Oily smell, one room not ready, limited supplies, small sheets, no staff after supper and no answer on phone to call but clean and comfortable with friendly staff. So average for a small town accommodation.
- Catherine (8/5): - The room was excellent. Dining area was equipped for breakfast but not available. Front door was broken. Staff were friendly if you got to see them at all, no one ever at front desk. Felt unsafe with broken front door and no staff around.
- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional - The nicest people ever and ive traveled all over
- Sandra (8/5): - The rooms are a good size and the beds are cozy. The kitchenette is a nice feature with large fridge and even a stovetop. The staff were friendly. Overall a reasonably nice place to stay.
On the downside, it appears the hotel is not being maintained well and the quality may go downhill. The automatic doors were not working, the hair dryer in the room also didn’t appear to work. The room had two beds, at different heights. The mattress sat on two levels of wooden frames, but one of the beds was only on one level making for a rather low bed. I’m guessing one of the wood frames broke, so they just removed it.
The room was clean, but care was not given in restocking the amenities. We had two bottles of body lotion and a half bottle of conditioner, but no shampoo. The toilet paper was almost empty with no spare roll. There was a coffee maker in the room with one pack to make a single cup. We stayed 3 nights and there was never room service to replenish things. You just had to ask at the front desk though and they would provide you with what was needed.
There is a large breakfast area in the lobby, but they don’t provide breakfast. We were told at check-in that they had coffee in the mornings, but we found the coffee was never made. We ended up just getting coffee at the Tim Hortons down the road.
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrii (8/5): Very good -
- Galen (2/5): - Dirty, dirty, dirty!
- Douglas (9/5): Superb -
- Maher (4/5): - I asked for room services and all.i hey is new towels and beds werent made.. and.plus there was no.brakefast
- Nathan (3/5): I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you had no other choices. - The facility was quiet. Mold on the pillows. Dirty.
Served hotdogs and hard boiled eggs for breakfast with no condiments. Breakfast was just horrible.
