- Paul (8/5): Comfortable and convenient. - The immediate surroundings of Lavandula aren't the loveliest, but it's well located, just five minutes stroll from the beach and 15 from the beautiful old town. Our room was spacious and well kept, and the staff were very welcoming. Just one small criticism - as there are no teams/coffee making facilities in the room, it would be good if the communal kitchen could be kept supplied with milk and sugar.

You have to carry your own bag up the stairs. Housekeeping every 3 days. Family own premises with a central kitchen. Mattress too soft and bedsheet can’t fit properly.

A beach and restaurants are in walking distance, distance from the old town is walkable but with the high temperature we preferred to go by car. The only minor thing for me is that that room/apartment did not have windows in the sense that I could look outside.

The walk to the old town is a reasonable distance for us but may not be suitable for everyone. We took some random small streets intentionally to walk through the neighborhood to see areas not visited by most of the tourists. We were there in May, the weather was perfect and not too crowded. The hosts responded to messages very quickly. The room is the right size for 2 persons. A place to consider when visiting Zadar.

- John (10/5): - I would classify Lavandula more as a guesthouse than a hotel, given that it has only about 10 rooms and limited common area. There is, however, a nice little area to sit outside, and it is just a couple of hundred meters from the beach. It's just under a mile to the old town, which can be reached by walking along the beach (for most of the way), although it is slightly shorter to walk along the street. My room wasn't fancy, but it had a nice modern design and was very clean. I was surprised when I was told Lavandula is about 10 years old, because I thought it was much newer based on the design and condition. I chose Lavandula primarily because it had convenient parking. It's not a luxury property and it's not in the center of the action, but it is walkable and for someone looking for a good, reasonably priced place to stay, this is an excellent choice.

- Opubo (10/5): - Good location, 5 mins walk to the bus station, 15 mins walk into old town. They helped to arrange my boat tour and customer service was good. I stayed in the maisonette and it had all the necessary mod cons. My only feedback to the owners is that the pillow isn't comfortable and the door locks are tricky to put the key in. Nice stay nonetheless.

The sofa bed is hard as a rock, since we only stayed for one night it wasn’t a big deal but it’s not ideal for many nights. Our room was in front of the reception and we could hear everything (very thin walls), that was weird. It was also close to the road so you could hear all the cars passing by. If you are a light sleeper ask for another room. The staff was very attentive and helpful. Parking was small and you need to go down about 8 steps with luggage to go in the hotel. 10 min walk to the city and 5 min walk to the beach, which is very convenient

- Monika (4/5): Lavandula stay - not very happy about my stay. The room downstairs where I was sleeping was smelling like an old basement. I was told that this is due to the cleaning detergent the cleaner uses. Not a good sleep. The grouting was also mouldy. Cleaner needs to use a grouting brush.

- Douglas (10/5): Excellent hotel even better before/after a ferry - Lavandula was definitely a hidden gem. My wife and I absolutely loved it. We had spend the previous week in Italy and this was our first hotel in Croatia. Wow it was a breath of fresh air. The room was huge! It had a full size couch and the comfiest bed ever! The host/reception was super helpful. We took the jadrolina ferry to Zadar and she let us drop our bags off early at 7:30 am. We then got a message from her a little later at 10 that the room was ready so we could check in early if we wanted. The shower was huge and the water pressure was hot and excellent. It is a small hotel based on the number of rooms but the room size and quality was top notch. My wife and I commented that we could stay a whole month and feel comfortable and right at home. Also the location of the hotel is perfect smack dab in the middle between the beach and old town. It’s also accross the street from the bus station so getting a bus to/from the ferry terminal is really easy. I would highly recommend lavandula. I know i will stay there again the next time I am in Zadar.

Small, functional kitchen area with open plan lounge and separate, very comfortable bedroom. Location is fantastic. 2 minutes walk to Zadar bus station, similar to big Spar supermarket, 5 minutes on foot to Kolovare Beach and about 20 minutes walk to the Sea Organ which is at the far end of the Old Town. Reception staff were very friendly and gave great advice. Our only regret was that 2 nights was not long enough!

- Tomislav (10/5): Simple 2 night stay. - I had booked the room many months in advance, but I was going into it as simply a place to sleep (we have family close by but their accommodations were fully booked). It is very close to the bus terminal, but that makes no difference to us - the place was beautiful, quiet, and clean!!! I would definitely stay here again! A OT of sites are within a very short walking distance from here.
- Martin (10/5): - This Sobe has several rooms all of which appear to have been built at the same time. The rooms are spotless, modern, and spacious. We were much impressed with our reception, the amenities, and the included complimentary breakfast. Easily accessible from the freeway. The Zadar Old Town is a mere 15 min. walk away (but you also can drive there and park in the large lot just outside the gate). A most pleasant experience.

- Sandro (10/5): Comfortable stay at Zadar - This was a very nice small inn, very comfortable and with a spacious room. The staff was extremely friendly and helped out on what to see and where to eat in Zadar old town. Breakfast was average but had all the essentials and we had it always on the lounge chairs outside brought in a tray by the staff. Lovely stay.

- David (10/5): Modern and comfortable Zadar hotel - Really modern and comfortable hotel outside of the old city of Zadar, but an easy 15 minute walk in and 150m from the beach. The staff were really friendly and couldn't have been more helpful or informative. Parking is at a premium in Zadar so having parking at the hotel was a bonus. Good value and we took the breakfast option which was a generous plate of pastries, yoghurt and fruit. If you do take the breakfast option then note that there's no dining room and some rooms don't have tables but there's some seating outside. There's also a supermarket 100m away which is useful for supplies.There's also a small kitchen for guests to use next to reception. Great stay and highly recommended.
- Melissa (10/5): Clean and comfy. Great stay - Super clean room. Comfy bed. HUGE lovely shower. The hotel was great, would definitely stay here again. Right near the bus station for easy travel in and out of zadar, and a short 20 minute walk to old town. Easy to get an Uber to the airport as well

- Pual (8/5): - The apartment location is great . Most of tourist attractions are within walkable distance from the apartment. If you plan to visit to plitvice lake, it only takes you 2 hours from Zadar bus terminal and the apartment is very near bus terminal.

- Scott (10/5): Lavandula helps Canadian’s see Zadar in ease! - This little hotel made our one day in Zadar really easy. Across the street from the bus station it was easy to find and had great check in service. It’s a five minute walk to a local swimming beach that also has a few places to eat. It took us 15 minutes to walk to the old town and between swimming and touring we had no problem doing the trip a couple of times. Room was really nice and comfy, basically looked brand new. There is a supermarket next door which made stocking up for the bus ride really convenient. We highly recommend.

The rooms are fresh and clean, with good amenities. We would recommend Lavandula and stay again.

The bathrobe was very cozy and I really appreciated the slippers. Best shower we have had on our trip in Croatia. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The bathroom sparkling,new and beautiful, huge shower and lovely toiletries, bathrobes and slippers. Car parking on site and a nice walk into the old city of ZADAR.
