Guest Reviews
- Barbara (10/5): - The owners were very friendly and accommodating.
- Holly (10/5): - Great little inn. Has a wonderful home feeling. The owners are super friendly and made the stay a great experience.
- Michael (10/5): - The lodge is not extravagant, but the breakfast is. The hosts are knowledgeable and friendly. They make you feel like you are a relatives, not a hotel..
- Evans (4/5): - Tires property with wood rot and peeling paint to set the tone on the exterior located on a busy road. Lobby was straight from the 1970's with Fall chochkies covering every surface and old dated decor. Rooms had a "fishing lodge" feel. Breakfast was disappointing with limited choices. I would not choose to stay here . . . Bad value for cost of stay.
- JOSEPH (2/5): - Staff and breakfast
- Lawrence and Cathy (10/5): - It felt as if you were guests in someone’s home. So warm and friendly. Sal and Trish were great!
- joel (10/5): - very charming, clean, and lovely. If looking for different from
other places, give this friendly place a try.
- Steven (10/5): - Perfect spot for Green Mountain Festival
- REGAN (10/5): - Very accommodating to late night check in, daily room service, no hassle parking, low key style of operation...my family and I enjoyed our stay while we dod the Orvis school- met our needs perfectly!!!!
- Zander (10/5): - The owners and staff are extremely friendly and attentive, which makes for a comfortable and professional stay. Your night will be followed up with a 'real' Vermont breakfast experience. You will never want another 'fake' breakfast served at Best Western, Holiday Inn, Marriott, Hampton Inn...
- Abigail (10/5): - Adorable quaint small town vibes with extremely friendly staff and cute puppy.
Clean warm rooms with very clean well stocked bathrooms, cute shared spaces. Shared balconies for each room plenty of parking and easy to access downtown. 5/5 would absolutely come again. Best hotel stay in a long time.
- Frank (8/5): - Very nice atmosphere, owners very pleasant and welcoming
- Kyle (10/5): - Great time, clean rooms. Very friendly owners
- Michael (10/5): - The owners were incredibly friendly and always there when needed. The daily breakfast was amazing (go for the pancakes)! The room was clean and met our needs. Short drive to the mountains for skiing. Could not have asked for anything else!
- Miriam (10/5): - Bed and breakfast cozy Vermont feel. Lovely common area with a fire in the fireplace - guests hung out in various corners enjoying quiet chat or card games. Hosts/owners are lovely and hospitable. Great breakfast.
- Caroline (10/5): - Family-friendly with cozy large living room for socialization.
- Chris (10/5): - Perfect for ski weekend
- Laura (10/5): Nice stay! - Great stay. Location near the center of Manchester with free parking. Great, order cooked, breakfast!
- Michael (10/5): Skier's Delight - Another amazing stay at the Olympia Lodge. Fabulous fresh to order breakfast every day. Comfortable and clean room. Fantastic lounge with beautiful fireplace and comfortable couches to watch the football games. Trish and Sal are super accommodating and we loved our stay- again!
- Josh (10/5): Great owners and homemade breakfast. - Cozy place to stay for a ski weekend. Amazing breakfast and the nicest hosts. Highly recommended!
- Mark (10/5): - The owners are great!
- Anna (8/5): - Breakfast was wonderful, the pancakes were so fluffy! My husband said the lock on our window was broken.
- Ligia (10/5): Amazing - It was amazing, everything was amazing
- Shruti (10/5): - It was warm and welcoming lodge in a stunning location, close to Mt. equinox scenic drive. Breakfast was not the standard hotel buffet and more personalized. It was filling and delicious. Room was clean. It could do with an upgrade but we had a comfortable night so cant complain.
Highlight of this lodge were the staff/owners. Genuine and warm hearted folks who made the stay so much more fulfilling and enjoyable. Will choose to stay here again.
- Hana (10/5): - Home away from home, such comfy beds
- Jerell S (10/5): Feels like home! - A wonderful lodge just on the outskirts of Manchester, but close enough to town! Incredible hosts and one of the most delicious home cooked breakfast you could ask for! Decorated for the season, we stayed 2 nights in October for fall foliage season! Can’t wait to come back one day!
- Sean (10/5): - I recently had the pleasure of staying at this most charming lodge, and it exceeded all my expectations! The moment I arrived, I was greeted by the warm and welcoming staff, who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. Their genuine hospitality truly made me feel like part of the family.
The lodge itself is nestled in a stunning location with breathtaking views all around. Every morning, I woke up to the sight of rolling hills and serene landscapes that felt like something out of a postcard. The interior of the lodge was cozy and beautifully decorated, adding to the overall charm.
Whether it was enjoying a peaceful walk around the grounds, or simply soaking in the scenery from my room, every moment felt magical. The attention to detail in every aspect, from the decor to the service, made my stay truly unforgettable.
If you’re looking for a place to unwind, reconnect with nature, and be treated like royalty, this lodge is an absolute must-visit. I can’t wait to return!
- Larissa (10/5): Great! - Amazing stay! The owners of the hotel are welcoming, kind, and create a homely atmosphere. Will definitely return.
- Florin (10/5): - Very nice property, clean, and well maintain. We stay 3 night.
Morning breakfast made to order definitely was a plus.
- Tal (10/5): - We had an amazing time! The room and shared spaces were very cozy, clean, and welcoming. The stuff was so great and the food delicious. Can't wait to come back
- Linda (8/5): - The bed was the most comfortable in our 10 days of travel. The hosts were very gracious and the lodge was well kept. What I didn't like was no coffee maker in room. We are early risers and like to get on the road to avoid morning rush. Breakfast was from 8-9:30 am so we were gone looking for a coffee shop well before breakfast.
- billy (10/5): - Sal and Trish were great hosts! They have a lot of repeat guests and we met several of them. Great pancakes and service with a smile. Feels like home.
- Dave (10/5): - Great location and outstanding staff/ownership extremely accommodating.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Quaint, friendly and comfortable lodge
with a wonderful homemade breakfast… you’ll enjoy the Vermont hospitality.
- Diane (10/5): - It felt very homely! Trish was an excellent host & her husband cooked us a wonderful breakfast on two mornings! They were both helpful & attentive & very knowledgeable about the local area giving us excellent recommendations! We wish them well with the coming winter season!
- Kerrylee (8/5): - Great owners, homey, very friendly and so close to Manchester and all the shops and restaurants!! Must go to Ye Olde Tavern for dinner!! Best meals ever! Will go back again. Must bring your own drinks though bar is no longer open.
- Cynthia (10/5): - The lodge was like being home. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The common area was like being in someones living room with comfy sofas, recliners and a stone fireplace. The owners were friendly went above and beyond to make our stay special. The breakfast was made to order and delicious. Not the usual buffet continental you find at other hotels. This is our new "go to" weekend retreat. Loved it!!!!!
- Lance (10/5): - The Lodge, although it needs updating, is quaint and rustic. The owners are wonderful and extremely nice. They make a cook to order breakfast for their guests, which was very good. If you are looking for new and modern this is not the place. However, despite the fact that it needs work, we enjoyed our stay.
- raphael (8/5): - it’s dated… but has that old mountain motel feel.
pancakes were great and the owners super friendly:
price was right and had a friendly vibe
- Kate (10/5): - Very friendly & welcoming owners at the lodge. Each morning they take your order for breakfast and make it fresh! We enjoyed our stay!
- Graceanne (10/5): - This is a case of "don't judge a book by its cover." It's a very old family-run motel that shows its age, but the owners take obvious pride in making sure everything is immaculate and comfortable. They make improvements where it matters most--our bathroom had been upgraded with brand new fixtures, and it was sparkling clean. A hot, home-cooked breakfast is served every day in the breakfast room, giving the place a B&B feel. The owners are extremely friendly and make their guests feel at home. We stayed three very comfortable nights and agreed we'd go back if in that part of VT again. In an area of high-priced inns and hotels, the Olympia Lodge is a welcome, affordable alternative with warm, personal service.
- Kate (10/5): Great Option in Manchester - Cute small hotel. Convenient parking. Great customer service. Room was large and clean. Comfortable beds and a large open space with a pool.
- David (10/5): - The lobby and room were comfortable/cozy, the on duty manager was friendly, attentive and informative. Nice quiet room.
FYI: The property sits about two miles outside of Manchester, VT, and in July most businesses shut down around 6pm.
- Moire (10/5): Wonderfull time - Sal and Teresa are super hosts. Clean room and fantastic breakfast.
- Elizabeth (6/5): - Owner very personable, swimming pool was nice however room and facilities were basic, furnishings drab and decor had seen better days. Air conditioning noisy. Very little choice for breakfasts, no bar provision. This could be a lovely hotel but it definitely needs a makeover, we were very disappointed with what we got for the price.
- Kim (10/5): - Breakfast is made to order from a few daily options. I’ve never seen a hotel offer that before! Family run hotel. Quirky, clean, comfortable, and simple.
- Lorrie (10/5): - Quaint lodge, friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds, nice pool and breakfast in the morning!
- Carol (8/5): - The owners were very pleasant and helpful.
- james (8/5): - Breakfast was very good. Nice hosts.
- Mary (8/5): Warm Welcome - If you are looking for up-to-the-minute decor, this is not the place for you. But our hosts' warm welcome and happy atmosphere worked for us. The dinner restaurant recommendation was great (Ye Olde Tavern), our host-prepared-breakfast (eggs to order) was excellent. The beds seemed a little soft but were totally comfortable, the inn was quiet and we slept like rocks. I imagine it would be a great place to chill out in the lounge after a long day skiing or hiking (or shopping). I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy Angus, the new Golden Retriever puppy.
- Nancy (10/5): - I the ambience and the power couple sweet family spirit. I enjoy a beautiful view from the dining facility and how cozy it felt. A very family oriented atmosphere. I would love to go there again!
- Michael (10/5): - Booked place last minute after a mix up on another reservation. It is an older property and nothing fancy, but was clean and quiet, which is all I really care about. Would definitely stay again.
- Marc (10/5): - Such a great property. Owners are so gracious, ready to serve and enthusiastic. They make you feel like you're home. Hope to come again.
- Sviatlana (10/5): - Absolutely love the place and the owners Trish and Sal. We felt very welcomed like home!! :)
The place is charming and cozy, and very clean.
Definitely recommend the stay and will come back in the future!
Grateful Sviatlana and Lubomyr !!
- Lynn (10/5): - What a find! This lodge was like stepping back in time but everything was in perfect condition. You can see the pride of ownership and feel the hospitality. Had a great time socializing with other guests around the fireplace on a cold winter night and everyone shared our good impressions of Olympia Lodge. I would highly recommend.
- Sarah (10/5): - Homey
- Satish (8/5): - Nice and cozy
- P5160NYmichaelm (10/5): VERY COMFORTABLE AND WELL SITUATED - We spent just one night in this lovely family run hotel, close to Manchester, VT.
It was so welcoming with great illuminations on the outside and lots of pumpkins as Halloween was approaching.
The Hostess was very friendly and chatty and gave us complimentary coffees on our arrival. Being designed like a motel- our room was on the ground floor and very close to the car park. The breakfast was delicious- best fried eggs ever. Lots of pancakes, sausages, juice etc.
It was so homely and dog friendly. Lots of family photographs everywhere and a most intrigueing origami display of dollars in a glass cabiinet in the excellent living room.
We highly recommend this lodge to fellow travellers.
- Philip (10/5): Olympia Lodge review - Amazing stay. The property was in pristine condition and decorated like we were staying in someone's home. The hospitality was among the best if not the best we've ever experienced. Would definitely recommend this property for your stay in Vermont.
- K76HDphilipt (10/5): I felt at home. - The facility is quaint, not antique, but very eclectic and welcoming. Staff (owners) are on site and quite pleasant. The history of the place is interesting as is the story on how it came to be owned by the current people. Breakfast is very good. Most other guests are "repeats" so it has a good reputation. If ever in town again, I'll stay if there is vacancy.
- Jack (10/5): - I have seldom been more welcomed than at the Olympia! Host and guests were charming. Lobby was cozy. Cooked to order breakfast was spot on. We will go back!
- Charles (10/5): - Everything was 4.0 !
The facilities and staff top of the line !
Will come back in the future !!
- Ellen A (10/5): - The Lodge was very nice and comfortable with the best inn keepers ever. They live on site and were always friendly and welcoming and available. They also provided a wonderful home made breakfast which was delicious. We will definitely be returning 👍
- Huafang (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend Olympia lodge if you are in Machester
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very nice staffs. Excellent breakfast. Old building. Nice location near town.
- Ken (10/5): - Great stay
- Wannelle (10/5): - The owners of this property were very hospitable and gracious. Their fresh cooked breakfast was delicious. We would love to stay with them if we are in Manchester again.
- Mark (10/5): - The rooms were nice , but the commons areas were great. The personal touch of the owners was unequaled. Breakfast was fabulous. Everyone was nice and helpful.
- Richard (10/5): Friendliest place! - Owners are the friendliest! We had a wonderful time. The place was very clean and the breakfast delicious. It’s located very close to the center of Manchester. Just be sure to bring your long equipment cords!
- AMC888 (10/5): Vermont in October🍁 - We cannot recommend the Olympia Lodge enough we have been staying here for over 15 years and it never disappoints, from the friendly welcome in the inviting and cozy lounge area to the comfortable, nicely decorated and clean rooms to the delicious breakfasts provided every morning in the dinning room. The grounds are very well kept, and there is ample parking
It is centrally and conveniently located to all major attractions in the area. The owners, Sal and Trish, are always on site and go above and beyond to make all guests feel welcome and comfortable. Can't wait till next year!!🍁🍁
- kenneth (10/5): - The best breakfast we have had in awhile
- Lewis (6/5): - Dated decor and furniture, lack of electrical outlets in room, tv that flickered, air conditioner that was loud, insect netting in window that was warped and had gaps in coverage, not many tv channels to choose from, bathroom exhaust fan that was loud in nearby room that kept us awake
- Melanie A. (10/5): - Extremely nice people who run a very good hotel
- Larry (10/5): - Sal and Trish were wonderful hosts and called us by name. Friendly and definitely made you feel welcome. Had a truly wonderful home cooked breakfast. I would recommend you try this place!
- anthony (10/5): Foliage trip - Was a pleasant stay just outside of the crowds but 10 minutes from just about everything we wanted to see especially Mt Equanox.Sal and his wife made a great fresh ordered Breakfast not buffet but made to order. Yes some painting but overall I definitely will return and stay there again when up especially during the Foliage season and it’s peak right now.
Thanks for the service 👍
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Place To Stay - Wonderful people. Very accommodating and friendly. Clean and comfortable.
- Mary (10/5): - Lovely family owned hotel. Clean, quiet, great breakfast. Skip the chain hotels in Manchester, VT and check into Olympia Lodge instead!
- Brian (10/5): - The cabin we stayed in was clean, airy and had every amenity we needed. The owners were very friendly and helpful. They gave us all the info we needed on kayaking spots and other things. Great place to stay.
- Pamela (6/5): - staff was awesome.
- Nomadtrad (10/5): Unique “Swiss Chalet” motor lodge stress-reduction facility - It is hard to describe a place like this. It looks like a cross between a Swiss chalet and an old-time American motor lodge. This is more of a “bed and breakfast” experience than a typical hotel stay. The first thing that will strike you is how friendly the proprietors are. A large passive and friendly golden retriever wanders freely. To give you a better idea of the ambiance, you will notice old classic board games in the lobby. You feel as if you are in someone’s home if not your own. The room comes with a gratis breakfast and that is simply wonderful. The back of the establishment abuts a wood line where deer come out and graze. Yes, the rooms are a little small, and there is pet dander, but hey, this is like staying at your aunt and uncle’s house and it’s a place to just relax. Easy access to plenty of activities in the area including skiing.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Bed was uncomfortable. TV wasn’t working.
- Gail (6/5): - The owner was super nice and friendly. The property is very dated.
- Z9753EHjamesg (10/5): All we could ask for. - What a wonderful weekend in Manchester Vt.
Topping it off , 2 nights stay at the Olympia Lodge.
Our hosts Sal & Trish treat guests like close friends.
The rooms are spotless, the beds so comfy.
Daily full breakfast cooked to order-- delish!
Sure to return in the Fall and for years to come.
Thanks Sal & Trish. See you again.
- Amy (10/5): - Our stay at Olympia Lodge was absolutely perfect. The owners are quite honestly the very best and from the moment we walked in the door it felt like home away from home. From the welcoming lounge and cozy room (and not in the small sense - they’re big!), to the spacious grounds and delicious breakfast - every aspect was exactly what we wanted/needed. We will be back (a lot!).
- Martha (10/5): - Very nice place
- Vaughn (10/5): - The property is cozy and inviting. The hosts are so welcoming. The breakfast in the morning is certainly a highlight. The rooms have been updated and clean. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
- Megan (10/5): - The owners are wonderful and the breakfast delicious!!
- Karisa (10/5): - Staff is exceptional. Family owned property.
- David (10/5): - Our stay was simply amazing. From the moment we arrived until we checked out, the service was great. Very friendly atmosphere. The breakfast was delicious. Our room was very clean and comfortable. This was our first trip to Olympia Lodge and we are already making plans to return.
- Trevor (10/5): - Wonderful place. I am planning on staying there in future when I return to the area.
- Brian (10/5): - Had a nice time. Will return for a future visit.
- My (6/5): - Expensive but what is obviously a motel. Not able to control heating for the room so at night it was cold. Only upside is close proximity to ski resorts.
- Alex (10/5): - Olympia lodge will be our home away from home moving forward!! The rooms are clean and comfortable added with the feeling of being at a family’s place, the owners made us feel comfortable and welcomed giving us the freedom to feel at home, I am definitely coming back and staying at the Olympia Lodge !!
- Sharon (10/5): - Front living room area was a wonderful area to spend time in.
I wish they had coffee or hot water available out at the bar area as I am an early riser. There is a microwave available which I did use to make myself tea.
- Hall (10/5): - Great family run property. Rooms comfortable and clean. Wonderful wood burning fireplace in the lobby.
Highly recommended.
- Robert (10/5): - Great service, and the free breakfast was an awesome touch. I definitely would come back for a future ski trip.
- Jean (10/5): - Very friendly clean easy access
- Gregory (10/5): - sal and his wife were great they run a great lodge and are very flexible and friendly
- Janica (10/5): - Sal and his wife were very nice and accommodating. The room was clean and plenty of space! Only a few minutes to town
