Timothy (10/5): - This is a great hotel. Love the decor. The staff were exceptional. It's in a great location. It was very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was very good, a nice variety. The room was extremely clean and again the decor was the best. Great size bathroom with hot water, very good water pressure. The bed was very comfortable. Only negative maybe get more comfortable pillows. Amazing views from the roof. But overall this is a great place today. I would definitely stay there again.

Pablo (8/5): - Casa Oniri is very well located in a restored white house with minimalist decor. The rooms are spacious and the bed is comfortable. Bathroom is OK. Staff was courteous. A few negatives: -Rooms have no closet, even though there is enough space. There are 2 tiny open shelves, and a hanging rod 2.5 meters high which I couldn’t reach even with a fully outstretched arm. Maybe not an issue for a weekender, but the lack of a closet was annoying for me since I stayed 4 nights -The bathroom is OK, but hot water supply is erratic. There was a lighted magnifying mirror that didn’t work and a hook to hang the towel which came off the wall and fell. There are public bathrooms next to the dining room with non-working air hand dryers and no towel paper. -Two nights they left a pitcher in the room with nice flavored iced water; one night they left a bottle of water and one night they left nothing (tap water in Barichara is not safe to drink) -Breakfast was mediocre: fruit, orange juice, eggs any style, a hot beverage, and a local staple called arepa, a sort of corn bread not very tasty, on which you spread butter and cheese (if it’s supplied-not the case). Also, the butter was frozen so it was impossible to spread it on the arepa. Oddly, they brought two fruit jams (which never go on arepa). Instead of bringing everything at the same time, they brought one item at a time at intervals of 5-10 minutes, even between the coffee and the milk. In brief, I was disappointed with Casa Oniri

Thank you so much! FYIs: Hot water is scheduled but staff turned this on for me at request and it didn't take long to kick in. I didn't have any trouble with mosquitoes during my mid Nov stay. You can hear the cathedral bell going off at all intervals so light sleepers should be prepared.

The breakfast is really good; different options every day. Conveniently located, you can walk everywhere. The room that we stayed in was very clean and spacious. The bathroom was tidy and convenient. I highly recommend this hotel.

Audric (9/5): An oasis in dreamy little Barichara - The location, just off the main square of picturesque Barichara, as well as the team working on-site, were absolutely wonderful. So friendly, helpful, and forthcoming 🤍 The building itself is absolutely gorgeous, and has the most beautiful view from the small rooftop. Breakfast was yummy and filling. The price quality ratio is more than fair. There is nothing negative to note, but I'd wish that the owners would put some more thought into furniture, lighting, and overall decoration. The property could be absolutely stunning with a more thoughtful approach to the decoration.

Jorge (8/5): very nice - the whole property was excellent, it is a perfect combination. the parking lot was good and very close, but unfortunately we met the parking lot’s owner’s wife, since the beginning she was upset, we were trying park our car under a tree shadow and then she tried to convince us not to park the vehicle where we wanted, without a valid reason, after that, I tried to establish a conversation with her about, where is she from and any recommendation about where to go or to do, but for one reason that we have no idea, she was just rude and very unprofessional, her attitude was nasty, we were having a nice day until we met her.

Verified traveler (10/5): Comfortable Stay - This hotel is quiet and comfortable and very convenient to the central plaza and nearby restaurants. The rooms themselves are off a central courtyard (exactly like in the picture) and without windows except for above the door. The latter allows for natural light and breeze, but no view. Room was without AC, but fan provided adequate air flow. The only furniture in the room is a bed and a bedside table. If you want to sit and read, you can use chairs in the courtyard or lobby. Wi-Fi was excellent and morning breakfast was very good. The hotel offers secure parking in a place about two blocks away. Upon arrival, drop your luggage and then take your car to the parking and walk back.
Marco (8/5): Barichara for 2 nights - Right in the center of the town, there's a place in my heart for Barichara. It's a good place to relax, and the hotel has a roof where you can enjoy the view of the sky (on a clear night get ready to see the entire milky way).

Ugo (8/5): Moderno e tradizionale - Come è consuetudine nelle cittadine storiche colombiane, l'hotel è ricavato da una tradizionale casa con patio. La caratteristica di Casa Oniri è di aver rinnovato tutto. Non troverete come in altre posade arredi e decorazioni antichi, più o meno autentici e polverosi, ma un allestimento minimalista, moderno e razionale pur conservando ovviamente la struttura tradizionale.Nella camera ad esempio è stato conservato il tetto di travi in legno molto alto, ma dipinto di bianco e valorizzato da faretti posti sopra i travi che creano un piacevole effetto di luce.Il bagno è grande e dotato di una comoda doccia molto ampia. Al centro del patio è stata ricavata una vasca in cui si specchia il porticato. Il personale è molto cortese e disponibile, come ho constatato essere ovunque in Colombia. Un grazie particolare però per quanto accadutoci. Mia moglie ha dimenticato il suo orologio e quando se ne è accorta eravamo già troppo lontani per tornare. La sera, collegati alla wifi di un nuovo albergo, riceviamo il messaggio con la richiesta di cosa farne. Ho inviato l'indirizzo dell'hotel di Bogotà dove saremmo stati 3 notti dopo e l'orologio ci è stato prontamente inviato. Grazie ancora

Nicholas (10/5): Outstanding hotel, good service - This a stunning boutique hotel located in the most beautiful little town. Overall excellent stay. The only negatives were average steak for dinner (better off walking up the hill to siete tigres for one if their incredible lomo pittas) and we had to ask more than once for a couple of things like resetting wifi and changing a corked glass if wine. Also the size of a glass if wine was a joke! The breakfast was amazing and they use herbs grown on their terrace for cocktails and in the kitchen.
