The hotel is monumental and wide, with great common spaces. The staff is very welcoming and speaks English fluently, which makes it easy for international travellers. The hairdresser was still closed when I tried to go, even if it should have opened more than one hour before according to due opening time.

Club lounge was so great to provide a variety of Chinese and western food at happy hour. Breakfast in restaurant was also brilliant. Indoor pool and gym was also functional and well-appointed. Lobby was very luxurious!

- rubenmourinocasal (2/5): Probably the worst Marriott hotel ever - To share my feedback regarding my ongoing 15-night stay as a Marriott Bonvoy titanium Elite member. Unfortunately, my experience since arrival yesterday has fallen significantly short of the standards expected of a Westin and the Marriott Bonvoy program. **1. Arrival & Elite Recognition:** Upon check-in, I was not greeted proactively, and the reception team appeared unresponsive to my queries (potentially due to language barriers). As a longtime Elite member, I expect acknowledgment of my loyalty status at all Bonvoy properties. When inquiring about suite upgrade benefits, I was initially informed they "did not exist" at this property—a claim later corrected by a manager. While the manager assured me upgrades would be addressed if availability arises, the inconsistency and initial dismissal were disappointing. The overall welcome lacked warmth and professionalism. **2. Room Comfort:** The room is clean and well-maintained, though the property shows signs of age. The mattress and pillows are excessively soft, compromising support (whether due to wear or design). Also no amenities neither a welcome letter from the GM was placed in my room, this is the first time in 15 years. **3. Executive Lounge:** The evening lounge experience was notably subpar: - Alcoholic beverage selections were extremely limited. - White wine was served warm. - Food options were below average, resembling those of a mid-tier hotel rather than a premium Westin. To finish on a good note the hotel is very well located, the guest service manager team is very helpful, Having been a loyal Marriott guest for 15 years, I am surprised by these lapses, particularly at a Westin—a brand positioned at the higher tier of Bonvoy. I expect my remaining nights to reflect the quality and recognition commensurate with my Elite stays This morning despite multiple calls to the reception the corridor was full of people talking and singing since 7am, drinking and smoking , disturbing all other guest sleep, just to hear from the manager he was sorry but there was a wedding in the hotel and apparently those guest matter more. Since then I have decided to leave the hotel as I can’t imagine staying here for another 13 days

However, my interaction with the front desk regarding a potential room upgrade was unprofessional and dismissive. The result was a failure to upgrade, no welcome amenities, and a small, poor-quality room, leaving me concerned about the hotel's recent decline in service and quality.

- 682harrist (8/5): Beautiful property - Beautiful hotel with scenic view of the river. Amazing rooms with lots of space and comfort. Breakfast buffet is quite good and lobby bar is nice. The gym while it has a large selection of equipment is dimly lit, way too warm and the some of the equipment (most the life fitness devices are a bit wonky as they are showing their age). Staff communication is hard if you don’t speak Chinese, so expect to use Google Translate a lot. The downside, Internet access. Yahoo services do not work in China so be aware. WiFi is painfully slow in the hotel.

- Carsten (10/5): Top business and leisure address in riverside Wuchang - This is a perfect place for private or business stays in the Wuchang part of Wuhan. Right on the riverbank, next to good dining and cheap breakfast options. Very representative, too, suitable for meeting business partners. Good price-performance ratio. Probably the first address in town. Some guests smoked in the lobby which is rather uncommon in top-class hotels in China these days.

- Minmin (2/5): - We stayed there for two nights and had terrible experience in the middle of the night. At around 1am, the ceiling lights were turned on by itself! We were terrified because the lights were right above your head and were extremely bright! We turned it off manually immediately, however it went back on within 5 minutes. And then we turned it off again, and it randomly turned on again! This kept going on and on for half an hour. We tried everything before calling the front desk for help, but unfortunately was told that there's nothing they could do. We paid for a five stars hotel but couldn't get a minimal sleep at night. The next day, nobody reached out, nobody came to fix the lights, it was like nothing happened. They eventually changed a room for us upon our strong request, but the overall experience was terrible. We definitely won't go back or recommend anyone to stay in this hotel in the future.

Paying for the Executive Lounge gives good river views, all-day soft drinks and snacks, afternoon tea, happy hour, and evening light dinner, which is a good value. Room facilities are very good and provide toiletries and basic refreshments. The 5th-floor outdoor bar is good for views when it is not too hot or cold. The staff is incredibly helpful and proactive. Breakfast - The buffet food serving area is compact and, therefore, very busy and cramped. Some simple rearrangements of food and drink stations would improve the traffic flow. Western-style breakfast food options are not the same quality and variety as equivalent hotels in Wuhan (Marriott, Hilton).

Good location, it was close to Metro and easy to get around. The room was nice and spacious. They took deposit which I didn’t anticipate, however, it was probably our fault because we only converted just enough RMB for our last trip in Wu Han. The receptionists went beyond and above to help us to get our refund back so we had enough money in our Alipay for a taxi to the airport.

- Ling (8/5): - My family and I stayed at this hotel and we loved it. The rooms were very nice and well appointed. Service was proactive and great. My only complaint is that the room was too warm, and there was no way to reduce the heating because it was set centrally. It was way too hot to sleep with the blanket. Otherwise, the stay was great.

- Kristin (4/5): - Breakfast was poor. The staff in the executive lounge were rude. The executive lounge was open for only a few hours. The wine selection was also very poor. I will not stay here again.
- Kevin (6/5): 5* room without aircon!? - Westin beds are famously super comfortable, unlike the typical China offering. Room is clean and generally comfortable. Excellent location by the riverfront. Aircon in both rooms didn't work. The in-room device showed an actual temperature of 24 degrees with a target temperature much lower. An uncomfortable night's sleep. Although location is riverside, the view is poor on the opposite side. All in all, no wow factor to justify the high prices.

- 782yey (4/5): I recommend other hotels If you are in wuhan. - 作为Marriott 的顶级会员，我住过好多酒店，这个Westin 真的是拉下线。 As a top-tier Marriott member I have lived in many hotels and suites, This Westin is the worst so far. I lived in a suite for two nights here. They didn't clean our room at all for the first night. Because the lounge is closed for some reason, They were supposed to bring us food to the room as a substitute. But that didn't happen for two nights. When I asked the GM about it, She kept saying we were not in the room and they knocked the door. But there was actually a record of us calling them from our room around that time. Instead of trying to find excuses, which only escalate things, she really should have focused her energy to bring this to a resolution. The hard wares are old. You should check out the gym and the pool area. They are depressing. But I'm fine with this. The general manager can't do much about the hardware
- ahhhhh_travelling (6/5): Average - There was a problem with the events venue due to poor planning and lack of training of staff members. In the end, the Director of Sales found a solution to the problem which worked out well. But it was not without agitation on our end. Thank you to the concierge guys, they did a good job in trying to solve problems with a parcel. The room was basic and served its purpose. Clean and did not smell like cigarettes. Lounge offering was average, they did have a good whiskey. The hotel was close to Yellow Crane Tower. 30 mins from East Lake. 30 mins from Hankou.

- Bin2012 (8/5): Better than I expected - My partner and I had an overnight stay in Wuhan, and I chose this hotel purely due to its location. It is close to Jiyuqiao station on Metro Line 2 which goes direct to the airport, and the hotel is literally on the riverside and within a walking distance to the tourist spot Hubu Xiang and the Yellow Crane Tower. In this way, we can explore the city in a very short period. Its lobby is very impressive, and room is bigger than what I expected. The most impressive thing is the hotel pool. It is big and clean, very suitable for lap swimming.

- davidjJ9270NN (4/5): Very disappointing - As a top tier Marriott elite member, there are certain expectations, especially at a Westin Hotel. From the beginning, I had to request the manager because the front desk person wouldn't give me an upgrade, despite suites being available. Manager took care of that. The rooms are dated, the carpeting dirty and worn, the temperature controls were not working and again the manager had to be involved to have engineering fix the issue, since engineering had a number of lame excuses why it wasn't working. After the manager's involvement, it got fixed. Went to work out and the locker rooms are dirty, the showers full of mold over the walls! Walked out and showered a second time in my room. The lounge is nice with a good selection of food and drinks for breakfast and evening hor's doeuvres. Disappointing that at breakfast you have to ask for fresh orange juice, otherwise you get bottled sweet fake OJ. Staff overall are very friendly, friendlier after one complains about something. Overall a disappointing stay, most likely won't return.

Shower pressure very good. Bedding was good Westin heavenly bed. Gym adequate. Breakfast has good varieties. Love the chinese selection. Cappuccino can be made better and higher quality coming out from the machine. Checkin and check out was prompt. Were upgraded to a corner room facing the river. Thank you.

When asked if what floor the executive lounge was on front desk staff did not know the word Executive .. communicated in Chinese most of the time. When visiting the pool was told that adidas sports shorts were unacceptable. Speedos okay. Breakfast was a fiasco with staff struggling to make coffee.
- malahotpot (8/5): First Class Hotel - I stayed for 3 nights at the Westin Wuhan. It is a beautiful hotel with good service from the staff in the Club Lounge on the 21st floor. Amazing views of Wuhan and the Yangtze River. Though there is nothing much around then hotel, a 20 minute taxi ride across the river will take you to the City Center. Rooms are nice and functional. The only complaint I have about the service, which was dealt with efficiently, is that with HouseKeeping. I had the do not disturb light on the door the entire day as I was catching up on some much needed sleep. At around 4 pm, I received a phone cal from Housekeeping. They said” we notice that the DND light is ON. Would you like us to clean your room?” The DND light means Do Not Disturb! Period. If I wanted housekeeping to clean my room, I would have called them. That’s the only issue I had with the hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Stay - We stayed here for an overnight on our way back to Sydney after a Yangtze river cruise. We were upgraded to a room on level 22 with a river view with late checkout at 2.00pm. the hotel is right next to Yangtze river and the lights on both side of the river buildings are beautiful. The breakfast restaurant is on ground floor and the food is just average. We had dinner and lunch at the hotel Chinese restaurant were excellent. Restaurant serves great Cantonese dishes not just hot/spicy dishes and Buffet Dim Sim lunch on weekends. Staff is friendly and helpful. We would love to stay here again.
- Dionysus38 (10/5): Extravagant, not quite central - This hotel was surprisingly extravagant, with its grand entrance and over-the-top decors in the lobby. Apparently, this hotel used to be THE hotel to conduct business in, and it shows. It's located along the Yangtze river, with a nice riverside park for morning jogs. As many of our clients live across the river, Wuchang is a bit less convenient for business meetings. There are constructions up and down the street, an obvious communist effort to prepare the town for the upcoming military olympics, and it's causing a fair bit of inconvenience and eye sores.
