Guest Reviews
- Wendy (7/5): Visited Father's friends and family. Drove out to cemetery to see family grave sites. Drove out to - No breakfast. But the No Man's Land Cafe down the street is delicious! Was glad to stay in Texhoma. Quiet except for train going by at night. Right location to visit family. Needs an ice machine available.
- manuel (1/5): no good - there were cockroaches and spiders in the room the employee is very tyrannical and gets angry over everything very bad experience in that hotel i will never rent there again, that’s way it’s always empty, i never saw the hotel full
- Lesa (7/5): -
- Carolynn (9/5): -
- ross (8/5): -
- Bob (10/5): - Nice welcome. Informed me where I could get a nice dinner and it was. Had a hick up with the room key but otherwise things were fine
- Jill (10/5): - Very nice hotel! A little dated but clean and very comfortable!! Easy check in! Great service!!
- Kelly (6/5): - They wanted to charge extra for 30 min early check in. We were the only car in the parking lot and the rooms were ready. I thought that was kind of ridiculous. The first room’s stool didn’t work so we moved to another one. There were dead crickets on the floor. I appreciate the spraying for insects, but a vacuum would’ve been good. However, it’s the only game in town so… On the other hand, it doesn’t cost much to stay there so what can you expect? I’ve stayed there before and will again
- Karla (8/5): Decent place for the price. - Accommodations were a little worn down ok. Beware hotel is located right next to railroad tracks. They didn’t blow their whistles during the night, but started up pretty early in the morning.
- Troy (10/5): - It was open late and quite
- Agris (10/5): -
- Elisa (2/5): - It smells and it’s very dirty
- Elisa (10/5): - Is was amazing
- janet (4/5): - little uncomfortable bed. No restaurant near. Was quite and had roku tv which was nice. No coffe in room or frount desk stea. Had to go to gas station for coffee.
- Karen L (6/5): - Was the only place in town as it was late when we checked in. Staff very friendly. Standard room. Few bugs in the bathroom in the morning. No food/coffee since Covid per staff.
- Ed (4/5): Hard to be worse!!!! - The Man that was running the place was very nice and helpful, but this place is a dive. The room was dirty, the chair was dirty, there was a fist hole in the wall. The bathroom wall was peeling off, there was large deep scratches in the wall from the nasty chair. There wasn't computer check in because, according to the clerk, the owner did not want to put any money in the place. The sink did not have a handle. I am telling you all this place is a hole. a few miles away there are nice places. all we did was sleep and left at four in the morning.
- Shelly (6/5): We survived. - The proximity to my family’s home and school. This place is pretty much a dump. Needs a complete overhaul. Doors that don’t work. Door keys that stop
Working. Fridge and microwave not working.
- Dawn (4/5): - There were holes in the walls and by the toilet. Worried that I was watched while I was there. Microwave was really really old
- Ricky (6/5): - Good for the price
- Michael (6/5): Pleasant - Unexpected service charge added at check-in. There were no glasses or cups. Skimpy towels.
- Grant (2/5): - Bed was terrible. Toilet would not flush.Shower would not get hot.
- Mary (5/5): OYO and Booking.com did not agree. Unit needs maintenance. - Comfortable King bed. Large room. Ice machine not working.
TV did not work but the staff and my husband worked on it for thirty minutes to get it to turn on.
Curtains were hooked together and would not open. Also coming loose. Taped broken glass in window.
I booked through Booking.com and it stated to pay at hotel. I then received an email from OYO say I had to pay something to keep my confirmed reservation. I tried to follow it but a code was never sent.
When I arrived the desk help stated I had to pay extra for a service fee. I showed them my confirmations and the OYO email. After several minutes of rude discussion, they agreed to the confirmation price.
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Charles (4/5): - First of all we didn't get the room we had reserved and still had to pay the same price. Second we came in on a day that it was snowing like crazy and there was no heater on so it took 5 hours for it to get warm in the room which they should have had it turned on before we got there knowing that's the room that we was going to get. And you need to get new mattresses for the beds at least a mattress pad over them cuz it was hard. Other than that everything was perfect.
- Marcia (2/5): - Rude manager. First he told me pet fee was more than quoted on website and what we discussed when I called. After a series of other questions I asked, the clerk onsite got mad and said he was denying my reservation. That would have been fine, but hotel kept my money and has refused to refund it.
- Christy (10/5): - Thos is a clean and charming place to stay. The owner is amazing and very helpful.
- David (6/5): - The chair and foot stool in room were dark with dirt. Ice machine has been broken for 3 years . The train 3 times a night was not great either
- Randy (4/5): Attendant was rude and unable to do anything until he called the main office located in a different city. Hotel attendan - In the same town as the funeral. Office personnel very rude. Had to call the main office to see how much the room would be for the night. Ask to keep our room for an additional night and was told would have to call main office to find out if we could stay another night. We booked on the phone with the main office for another night at $55 for additional night with fees and taxes ended up 68 for the second night. When we return from the funeral our keys would not work and were told we could not get into our rooms until we paid an early check in fee. So we once again are on the phone with main office and were charged 15.75 in some local fees. I will never stay in this hotel would would never recommend it to anyone for any reason.
- Misty (3/5): Don't do it. - I booked 2 king rooms, went to check in and they only had 2 doubles. No coffee in rooms has to go to the store down the street. The kids room had a spider in the bed, and they found more bugs around the room. If there has of been any other rooms close we would have left.
- Jarrod (4/5): False advertising - They will charge you another $9.75 upon arrival. Absolutely ridiculous. Non-refundable rate so you're trapped in to paying that.
- Rebecca (10/5): - Great room for the price
- Ronnie (2/5): Crappy and freaky attitude from the clerk. - The clerk was ruid, it was hot in the lobby. My co worker ask him if he has ac. He said he turned it off and that he does what he wants and the guest dont tell what to do. Followed us around watching what we were doing. Piss poor attire. No TV in the rooms, explanation was overcast whether. I have direct TV at home, mine works during overcast whether. Would not recommend.
- Thomas (4/5): - X
- Darby (8/5): - It was a nice room and clean, but a lot of the building was broken. Nothing serious. The ice machine was out of service (OOS). So was the vending machine; Several lights flickered; certain entrances were blocked.
- Tracy (4/5): - Booked a reservation for my daughter and friend who were traveling to MN. At check in, staff were rude and did not want to honor reservation through Expedia despite receipt and confirmation. They wanted to charge $85 which was $30 above Expedia price. After debate, they finally honored reservation. Room was dirty and they had to sleep on top of covers. Staff informed my daughter "tell your mom she needs to chill" Wound NOT recommend!
- Nancy (8/5): - Place is clean, but a little outdated/old. The train is right across so its noisy.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not the best stay... - When we arrived we were initially charged an extra $8 for a city tax, which we weren't aware of. Seemed like a high price since the bill was $50 and that town's city tax was only 4.5%. The attendant then became overly anxious to make sure I parked my car in front of my room door only, despite the fact that the parking lot was near empty. It was dark, and I really wanted to park near the entrance door so my daughter and I didn't have to walk far in the dark. I then was told I couldn't access the outside door because it was broken and would fall off. There was even a paper sign on the inside that stated this. The room was clean enough. Beds were very firm which were not to my liking. But it was a cheap price, and you do get what you pay for.
- Clyde (1/5): I did not stay and left when I was told of the $25.00 pet fee and I would get a refund in 48 hours. - I did not stay after paying because of the pet fee I found out after the clerk took my payment on my card. The clerk said I would get a refund in 48 hours. I have not seen the refund.
Clyde Mead evening of 6/21/2024, cancelled stay when the clerk told me the pet fee was $25.00 and he would put me in a pet room. I am still watching for the refund. My phone #307-286-4032 for details if needed for the refund. The clerk said he did not have a computer and had to write down my information on an index card. My card was charged but now it has not been refunded. You have my info because you sucesully charged my card.

- Susan (3/5): Not worth it. Drive by. - The clerk was extremely nice so no complaints about personnel. Upon check in I learned there was a $6.75 fee in addition to the amount quoted by Airbnb.
The computer system was down so they couldn't make me a key. The manager opened the door for me. If I wanted to leave I would have to leave the door unlocked.
The bedsheet barely fit the mattress. There was no mattress pad. I brought in my own sheets.
The A/C unit sucked. The room curtains covered the vent so I had to figure out a way to prop one of them up a little without uncovering the window, so there was air in the room. When I got there the room was hot and stuffy.
- John (10/5): - Nice and easy check in
- Tammie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vicki (4/5): Disappointed - Run down interior. No breakfast, no coffee or coffee maker. The chairs looked like they were picked up off the curb. Wouldn’t sit on them. And the cost ended up being $30 more than what I thought I agreed to.
- Brady (10/5): Perfect break from driving - Perfect stay when crossing states. Very secure and easy parking and comfy beds. Staff were great!! Nothing
- ROXANNE (10/5): - Everything
- Suzanne (8/5): - I requested a room no pet had ever been in and was granted my request. Room was very clean. No allergy problems at all.
- John (10/5): - Very friendly staff. Quiet and clean room. Lots of space.
About 3 minutes from a great steak house that serves breakfast.
- William (10/5): Perfect for a quick night’s sleep - I was just in need of a place to stop to get a nice rest on a long trip and this was perfect. Good price too.
- Connie (3/5): Keep driving - Easy to find. Beds were hard as a rock and probably at least 10 years old. Heater was so full of dust afraid to use. Bathroom was just ugh!!
- Abdul (9/5): Superb - The property was great but the staff behavior kinda scared us about the neighborhood and surrounding being unsafe. Comfortable and great value for price
- Steven (8/5): Convenient stop/Great Bed - This was a very brief stay. I got a good night's sleep and the staff was friendly.
- Rita (6/5): - The bed was comfortable. It was supposed to be a king size, but it seemed more like a queen. There was a lot of destruction to the room. There was stains in the carpet and deep scratches in the wall, a hole in the bathroom. The cost of having pets stay there was expensive.
- Jasmine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Juan (4/5): Glad I only had to stay there 6 days. - By my job. Dogs barking, Trains all night, Owner calling all times of the day and parking was limited to one car per room
- Shelly (3/5): only choice in town. tought it out to spend time with family - nothing really. shower, cleanliness
- Cindyob (10/5): Exceptional - This was a good place as a stop over on a long road trip. The room was perfect. It had a fridge and microwave, and coffee in the lobby in the morning..
- Satya (1/5): Rude Owner - The owner is a foreigner and very rude. says you can have a dog online, but the owner it very insulted if you actually bring a dog and will berated your and cuss at you telling you to leave.
disgusting
now im stuck looking for a hotel in a desolate area.
Don’t come here nothing
- John (8/5): - Nice little hotel very friendly and clean
- Jim (8/5): - Nice small town hotel
Price was fair and the service was good and clean
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property was very nice for the price. I will stay at Home Town Inn again. I do have some complaints though.
Check-in was very slow because the reservation computer was not working and hadn't been for several months (according to the person at the desk). I had to use my cell phone to get the information from Expedia to verify my reservation.
After check-in I was informed that I would need to run the hot water for about 10 minutes before the water would get hot (this was actually true). VERY WASTEFUL!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - No in room coffee, only dry cereal and NO COFFEE FOR BREAKFAST!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The positives... functional halfway stop on a 26 hour cross country move. Very nice front desk attendant. Room was run down. But given how tired we were, it worked for us.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The manager was very rude. I had a reservation for 4 nights. A family emergency came up and I asked to cancel the 3 nights. Was within the 24 hour notice period. He refused and charged me for all 4 nights. I was exhausted and didnt notice until the next day. Definately wont be back.
- Tray (6/5): - The beds and pillows were very soft. It was an okay place to stay but definitely not worth the $108 I paid. Also, there was no "hot" breakfast. It consisted only of...cereals, white and wheat bread for toast and sticky buns.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Had a nice stay, room was clean and staff was friendly and helpful. The only negative was that according to the clerk, Expedia doesn’t communicate with the facility, they didn’t have me down as being reserved but luckily they had a room that could accommodate us. It all worked out but it could have been a huge cluster. I suggest you call the establishment and confirm your confirmation before you wind up going another hundred miles to stay somewhere.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Staff is very rude! Breakfast cereals stale. Room was clean which was nice. Bed is hard as a rock.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The room was clean. Renovations are badly needed. Not sure how they remain in business, I didn’t see anyone else there the whole weekend. No where else to stay so not bad in a pinch!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The place was okay. The trains woke us up several times during the night. Nothing fancy but a good place to lay your head down and rest.
- Cori (8/5): - What a great place. Clean, updated, check in easy, easy location to get to. I hadn't realized a train goes by the property a few times a night....until the middle of the night. Didn't disrupt much honestly. The one suggestion I have, coffee maker in the rooms. Other than that, a great stay. Bed comfy.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Pretty noisy traffic on hwy. The room was clean.
- Verified traveler (8/5): We liked it. - Don’t plan on eating breakfast here. Otherwise a great place to stay!
- Bre (8/5): - Simple hotel in the middle of no where. Worked for us. A little worn but clean and friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean room and friendly staff. Perfect for overnight while passing through.
- Greg (10/5): Personal touch - Owner offered to take me and pick me up from a restaurant.
Wow my second stay in a week
- Verified traveler (10/5): Home away from home - Amazing owners and a great place and very petfriendly
- John (8/5): - Clean small town hotel with friendly staff. No problems with anything. Very much recommend.
- cvwildfox (8/5): Good price - Looks like they they have done some fixing up. It was a good place to rest our weary bones! The breakfast was nothing to brag about but for the price that isn't the most important thing! There is a really close noisy train that goes by there a couple of times but with the fan on inside our room, it didn't bother us very much at all.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice motel in Texhoma - This is a nice hotel in a small town for tired travelers.
- Lee (6/5): Standard fare - Clean rooms are OK, sub-standard tv (no HBO), strong odor of curry, breakfast fare is poor, no fruit. Lots of hiway noise, and loud trains several times per night.
- Janet (10/5): Great Times at the Hometown Inn - My mom and I stayed here for one night, and it was wonderful. The host and hostess were very kind and attentive people. I truly felt like we were part of the family.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Can't have coffee - Clean room kind of what you'd expect in a little town. Service was so so, front desk wouldn't let me have coffee because it wasnt 6am all I wanted was a cup of coffee didn't care about breakfast just wanted the coffee. Just for that reason I will not stay here again
- james (10/5): - Very clean and well maintained hotel
Owners/staff were very helpful. Comfortable room with large in room whirlpool tub. Breakfast was not great
- Susan (8/5): California trip 2017 - It was a clean place a d staff was nice. Breakfast could have been bigger selection and it was kind of noisy witj trains running all night.
- jhdbq (6/5): Convienent - Nice staff. Room needed some updating but was clean. Trains going by all night were a bit of a pain.
- Ralph (6/5): Good value - If you are looking for a high end experience... this probably isn't the hotel for you. If you want a decent clean place for moderate money, I highly recommend it. Good pressure in the shower...bed average comfort... our room was small but sufficient. No coffee pot in the room or ironing board and iron. It wasn't luxurious but adequate for what we needed.
- Ziggy (4/5): If you want trouble with your locks not working - They had to reprogram our room keys 3 times in 5 nights of staying didn't get my reservations and the tv worked a whole two nights so other than that it was ok
- Verified traveler (6/5): A place to stay - This is the 2nd time I have stayed here. Nothing fancy, but room was clean and front desk lady was nice. Not a great breakfast, but a variety of cereal. A place to stay on the way to my destination at a reasonable price.
- Charlotte (4/5): Old and not worth the price - The breakfast was horrible. Billed as a breakfast little more than continental, there was a fly in the juice pitcher, no hot water or tea. Everything day old or more. Only thing we could eat safely was instant oatmeal.
- Janet (10/5): goodv for a night - Nice family run motel. .Room was clean and fine for a once night stay. .
- Verified traveler (10/5): CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE ! - GREAT OWNERS VERY PLEASANT AND PEACEFUL I REALLY ENJOYED MY STAY I WILL BE BACK !
- Tana (8/5): Clean and convenient place. - It was a stop on a long trip. Everything was fine except the bed. Did not sleep well.
- Sheila (10/5): - Rooms are not fancy but comfortable and lots of space. The owners are very friendly and helpful. I intend to satay there ant time I go to Texhoma.
- KC traveler (6/5): Okay for a place to spend a short time - We got in after a long day on the road. The person at the desk was not able to check us in efficiently as she was in the middle of an online card game and could not pause. She was kind enough to give us a free upgrade from queen beds to king beds. However, the rooms were smoking rooms and smelled strongly of old smoke. There were bugs on my bathroom counter and in the bed of the other room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great! - Very comfortable and friendly staff. Good breakfast. Got upgraded from a queen to a king.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff were very friendly and accommodative. I appreciated their kindness.
- Scottie (6/5): Great price for a nightly stay. - Just stayed one night while traveling. Arrived late and left early.
- AZ traveler (4/5): Not quite as represented - I was supposed "upgraded" to a king. The sheets/bedding were the main issue, worn out. The room needed updating. When I booked, "only 2-3 rooms left" was posted on the site, when in fact, when I fell asleep at 10 PM, mine was the only car on that side of the motel. Breakfast was terrible! I was first in at 6 AM, maybe 2 servings of eggs, hard biscuits & thin gravy. Other than that, cold cereal & breads for toast.
- Rob (10/5): Quiet and comfy - I had a perfect nights rest in a clean and comfortable room with quality bedding and smooth running AC
- helen (10/5): - Will stay here next time through
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ok - Breakfast not much offered, room needs a little work
- Sara (6/5): Worked for the one night that we needed.. - Arrived was greeted nicely booked through Expedia for a jacuzzi suite which online shows a tub big enough for 2 people my boyfriend and I were both looking forward to being able to relax at fost we were given the wrong room then was told I wasn't given the right price and it should've been more expensive which was not right I wouldn't have booked it if it was that expensive.. And then throughout the one night stay I ended up with 5-6 spider bites... For the one night we needed prior to getting a rest before more driving I wouldn't recommend I would drive another hour or so and get a nicer hotel
