Guest Reviews
- Mohan (8/5): - Overall very nice property, excellent location, amenities, secured parking etc.
The biggest problem was unavailability of WiFi (paid or free both). I even signed up with a local service provider @Freedom as recommended by the Hotel but it wasn’t working with mobile phones & other devices due to the problems with building router.
The flat TVs in the lounge & bedroom were not smart and wouldn’t connect to Netflix or similar services.
Otherwise recommended for the short or longer stays with the family.
- Waimaringi (8/5): - A very spacious apartment, great value for money. Great location, beautiful area and close to everything. Was perfect for my family. Parking was excellent and service was excellent also.
Only issue was couch was a bit dirty, found old popsicle stick and dirt in between cushions and kids were looking forward to using the spa bath but didnt as it was dirty and had grime all around. Balcony was huge and we had a view of the river and partially of the ocean. Very pleasant.
Overall we loved the place and would return in the future
- Malcolm (10/5): Great value - Was a lot more than we expected for the price. Very roomy apartment. Good view, 2 big bathrooms. Will stay there again.
- Gareth (6/5): - Reception staff very helpful and friendly. The room layout was wonderful and spacious with everything we could want for a reasonable price. Unfortunately we had to kill a few roaches while we were there and the room was generally a little run-down. Air conditioner was not in a usable condition so thankfully we didn’t feel the need to turn it on. Please note that there was a number of works going on while I stayed such as repainting and laying new carpet so things may improve in short order.
- Bojan (10/5): - The apartment was huge for the price. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming.
- Chelsea (8/5): Spacious apartment - The apartment was lovely and spacious, but dated and in need of repairs. The shower head was spraying water everywhere and there are marks on the walls that look like repairs-in-progress. I expected more for a 4-star hotel. The location however was fantastic - in walking distance to the beach and shops of surfers paradise, which includes supermarkets. Good parking.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We arrived to find no key in the safe. Upon finally getting the key and going to the room, the air-con did not work. There are 2 sliding doors to the balcony, 1 we could no open, the other hard to slide. Management did not know what was wrong with the air-con, it was not the remote. Management had to get tools to open the other day and then advised to leave the other door closed because it was to hard to open. Ensuite had shower over spa, the sliding screen door was difficult to open and management advised for safety not to use the ensuite shower or spa and use the other bathroom.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We have just returned frm a 7 night stay at surfers mayfair, our room was awesome, great views, huge apartment, clean , and a few minutes walk to Cavill ave, we would definitely recommend this place to everyone and will be staying on our next visit
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great place with everything needed near by
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Stayed for 3 nights in a 2 bed apartment.
Really big apartments with massive wrap around balcony.Place was only let down due to the dated fixtures and fittings, shame really as this place could be excellent if it was upgraded.
Annoyed as expedia stated that the check out was 11 but was actually 10 oclock.
Other than that if you want a big double apartment with 2 seperate bathrooms close to the action and are not fussed about 'new and shiney' then this will suit you.
I would recommend this place for a stay in Surfers.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location, friendly managers & good value. Can’t ask for much more.....
- Verified traveler (10/5): Better by far. - I could not complain about one thing at this comfortable accommodation, everything was excellent even the gardens.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean and affordable apartment - Check in on a Sunday and realised that the check in time is not 2pm to 4pm as stated. Luckily, there is a phone and a safe box to retrieve keys and swap for car parking. Condition is a old but grand apartment, mostly clean but shows signs of wear and tear. What I won’t like is that they leave old chairs, wires, blankets, broken hangers in both the closet and we didn’t dare to use the closet space. Also, there are signs that someone left the gate open which I was very sure that I closed it and that someone left the light on when I am sure that I switched off all lights before leaving. This is the first time I am staying in an apartment as opposed to hotel and I was informed that there will not be any housekeeping during our stay though.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Location was great, rooms are large and comfortable. Only thing to be picky is no wifi.
- Shaun (10/5): Walk to town - Room 29 floor 7. Excellent. Room was clean, tidy and had a great view of the river.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great facilities great location - Great location and facilities a little tired in places but nothing dramatic that a lick of paint could not solve
- Paul (10/5): - Great value for the price. Would stay there again on our next visit.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice relaxing ng clean and friendly staff - Had a great holiday beautiful weather nice pool good views
- Princess (8/5): Great hotel close to everything! - This is a great hotel for the budget conscious and families. The suite was huge with two bedrooms for uninterrupted slumber, two huge bathrooms, avoiding the need for fights over vanity space, a spacious and well equipped kitchen and lounge area with everything we needed. The decor was a little on the 90s side, but everything was comfortable, spotless and it had the bed shower head this side of QLD! The pool and spa were fabulous and the water gardens were enchanting, complete with the family of lizards sunning themselves on convenient rocks. Absolutely gorgeous. Staff were so helpful and the free car parking space was handy indeed!
- Tony (10/5): 3 night stay - perfect location for us - 2 minute walk to the beach and large parking space for the car - good rates and all amenities one would expect.
- kym (10/5): Close to everything without being busy - Close walk to the beach, Cavill ave, public transport. Quiet hotel with comfy rooms
- Bevlea (4/5): - The hotel itself was ok. Parking was secure, location was handy to supermarkets etc., beds were comfy and unit was clean. It was also was in drastic need of new appliances. Dishwasher was rusted and didnt work properly. Fridge had broken door shelves, broken ice cube trays, no cover on crisper... with all the broken bits it held no more than a little bar fridge. Aircon had parts broken off and was dirty.
Kitchen had just enough cutlery and such for four people... only three placements though. And no can opener. And while you have to supply everything... I would have expected they supply staples that last forever... e.g. cling wrap, foil, more than the one garbage bag thats in the bin.
Its quite apparent that while its cleaned.... no one really checks that it has all the things needed for people staying.
- Peter (8/5): - A bit tired but otherwise worked really well for us.
- Leanne (6/5): Quiet position - Staff very friendly, position is excellent , room very clean, but our apartment was old, bathroom has had a update, but the rest of the apartment was in need of a make over
- Sue (8/5): Nice older apartment close to central surfers. - Large apartment with fabulous views from 7th floor. All glass frontage to veranda & views tho joinery old. Very dated appliances & lounge suite & repairs needed in places but was homely & comfortable over a large space. Dual sinks in bathroom were a nice touch. Loved the location, was in easy walking distance to G link tram, beach & Cavill Ave
- paul (8/5): nice hotel close to cbd - nice big apartment big rooms and good size bathrooms
- Paula (10/5): A great value for money hotel! Highly recommended! - We had a very easy after hours check in. The rooms were clean and spacious, the beds comfortable, and the views from the balconies were lovely! The bathrooms were also clean and spacious. The units were a little dated but unless you're an extremely fussy/picky person, they were just fine, especially for the price we paid. The enclosed bbq area was perfect for a large group to have a get together. It was a short walk to the heart of Surfers and we all felt really comfortable there. I'd definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive but lovely place to stay on the Gold Coast.
- Andrew (8/5): The lloyds - The overall was good bit the lace was a bit run down and in desperate need of an upgrade
- nadine (10/5): Best hotel in thia the price range. - Room is clean enough and has everything u need. Good staff service. Best hotel in their price range.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very nice and welcoming - we arrived late and was very easy to check in with the after hours service.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Well priced - extremely spacious - Great location, very roomy apartment, highly recommend.
- Mark (10/5): Great location and value for money - Great roomy apartment that was just a short 5 minute walk to Cavill Avenue, the beach and the Tram line which can take you all the way to Jupiters Casino in Broadbeach as well as connect to bus to the airport.
The management were very accommodating also allowing us to check in earlier as well as late checkout. Overall a very convenient value for money place to stay in the heart of Surfers Paradise.
- Scott (10/5): Centre of Surfers - Huge apartments, well appointed, close to everything. Beautiful setting and great facilities. Friendly, caring staff with great advice.
- Peter (10/5): great hotel close to all the action - I chose the Mayfair Hotel based on reviews and price and I was extremely satisfied. On arrival we checked in with Dave who was very friendly and helpful even to the point of showing us our generous size car space in the lock up garage. Our room was very clean and comfortable and had clear views of the river and slight views of the ocean from our balcony. The hotel is in a quite location yet only a stroll to the river, ocean and all of surfers paradise's action and attractions. We would not hesitate to stay there again on our next trip to the gold coast. Great value for money.
- Emmajane (8/5): Spacious and great location! - Really enjoyed the spaciousness of the apartment and the water views both beach and river. Good value for money!
- Ashley (10/5): Excellent hotel with great view. - Excellent hotel with a great view. Very well maintained and all the facilities needed. Great bath with an awesome spa, great place for a weekend away with you partner. Minimul structural damage, nothing to take away from the experience!
- Sisters weekend (10/5): Good position, everything in walking distance. - On arrival was greeted by friendly & helpful staff. Our room on the 10th floor had great views of a small fun park (Sling shot and Vomatron - especially at night), water views of both the river and sea. Room was spacious and bright with wrap around balcony. In one bathroom there was a spa. TV, Foxtel and DVD player provided. Pool and spa great and also has a tennis court. The grounds are tropical, with a lovely walk around pond with fish and water lily's. Walking distance to Trams, Surfer Paradise shopping and entertainment centre. Easy to leave your car at the hotel and travel by tram to Dracula's (also a must to do) and to Pacific Fair shopping mecca.
Great for a girls weekend or a family holiday.
- sarah (10/5): Spacious accomodation for a great price! - The apartment was amazing! Very spacious and clean and had everything we needed. Amazing views and the facilities were good too and the staff so helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here and I would stay here again myself.
- Julie (10/5): Beautiful - Awesome apartment, lovely staff, great location. Close but not too close. Walking distance to everything. I would live to stay there again.
- Barby (6/5): Booking unconfirmed - Not hapoy with the service recieved. Our booking was confirned then 2 days later recieved email to say they could not accomodate us. Poor service, unhappy customer.
- Roger (10/5): awesome no complaints here - Wonderful apartment. Great friendly service from staff. The room was amazing with both sea and river views everything we needed lovely spa great kitchen and comfy lounge suites! Absoultely brilliant
- Verified traveler (8/5): good location, clean and spacious room. - Good location, spacious room.
- Trevor (8/5): Great accommodation - A spacious well furnished apartment with great views and close to all facilities. Complex has pool tennis court and spa.
- Janice (10/5): Very clean and nice view - Very nice swimming pool with a spa, there is also a sauna downstairs. The garden is beautiful with birds singing. Good view all around on the big balconies. Quite convinient to all accessories in the CBD. Very clean room and prompt services from friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Spacious apartment with excellent facilities - These apartments are located in a quiet pocket of Surfers Paradise, but only a short walk from all the action. The apartment we had was spacious and with all the mod cons you'd expect in a holiday apartment. A large balcony with views over the river was an excellent place to eat a quiet breakfast and to watch the sunset with a cool drink in hand. The pool facilities was well maintained and a great place to relax with a tennis court and sauna compete with a BBQ area that provides indoor & outdoor seating. Overall this is a great place to stay....
- jennifer (10/5): close to beach and shops. - The hotel view from the balcony was absolutely amazing. The room was very homey and clean. Fantastic bathroom. Staff were very friendly and helpful, lovely people to talk too.
- Andrea (10/5): - Staff were really friendly and helpful. They even opened up the second room so our friends visiting could stay over too.
- filete (10/5): - Very friendly staff! Clean, close to cavill ave and beach
- Chris (6/5): Good location. Disappointing service - The Apartment was in a good location and good size. The towels had been washed but weren't clean. The car park was not available we were told before arriving (not at time of booking) but too late to change booking. The management were not very helpful with parking had to be lucky to get a park with in 100m of the apartment, not that there was nuch they could have done. This was not ideal with a small child. Inside the apartment was split leveled and spent the whole time making sure our toddler didn't fall down the tiled stairs. Not too bad if you want something cheap.
- hanz and pedro (6/5): Nice hotel close to beach and shops - Quiet nice hotel. Close to everything.
The only thing I would say the apartment needed a bit of a renovation because the appliances were old etc. And the balancy furniture was limited and needed replacing. But it was quiet and comfortable . We would return again.
