• Alfred (10/5): - Amazing hotel with a beautiful view of Lake Kawaguchiko and Mt Fuji! Room was nice and clean. Onsen was clean and empty when we were there. Service is excellent . Our personal server for dinner and breakfast, Nakamura San was the best! Kawaii! Delicious meals. Overall a memorable experience!
• Suki (4/5): - The room was not my expected and not match with the photo in Expedia. The bathroom should be outdoor but my room is indoor. The room style is not the same and the Manager informed me that is the same square feet but not same style. It was so unexpected and disappointed.

• Verified traveler (6/5): - 預訂前，聽朋友的介紹還不錯，以及網友部落格的分享也不錯；但實際上沒有那麼好，很普通的溫泉旅館，只是有富士山景罷了。 1.電話服務態度很差，只說打電話請人接，口氣很壞，於是後來打去取消，口氣更差！2.餐點普通到不行，沒什麼特色，以我目前吃過的日本溫泉旅館，這家最低分！唯一有加分的，是早餐的鮭魚。3.女將服務流於形式罷了！價格貴的如此，卻讓人失望了，不推薦！！！ 真正好的服務反而是旅館內的Resort Beau Spa。

• Ka Yan (10/5): Perfect Stay - Stunning view in my room, onsen and dining area. High standard service. Definitely a nice stay for my trip. The dinner and breakfast are good, but can be better I think. Convenient location, reachable by red line shuttle. But no convenient store nearby. Generally, it’s a perfect experience and will recommend it to my friends.

• s (8/5): Nice hotel. All about the views of Mt Fuji. - Well located overlooking Kawaguchiko lake and direct views to Mt Fuji. The hotel is modern and provided a wonderful Zen environment. They served a traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast which was inviting and interesting. hotel staff are very welcoming and pleasant to deal with. Onsen was clean and well maintained. they have a wonderful relaxation/lounge area overlooking Mt Fuji which was a key feature of this hotel.

• Chih-cheng (6/5): 觀賞富士山景的最佳位置 - 飯店有到河口湖車站的固定班次接駁車，飯店正對湖，觀賞富士山景的景色一級棒沒話說! 有溫泉、SAP和烤箱設施。但是飯店鄰近馬路低樓層的房間會受車流影響。設施稍舊、房間棉被和睡墊看起來老舊、盥洗耗材看起來頗廉價和它的收費不成比率。 若即早訂房這個價位會有更好的景觀和選擇吧?!
• pisit (8/5): a million dollars view of Mt.Fuji - there was something went wrong regarding the booking, It booked the room for 4 nights stay with a private onsen room but found out that I had book the non onset room, the hotel had found me the private onsen room on the 4th night with an extra charge. the air conditioned was not working properly, it happened that I had to ask for a standing fan. Too bad for such the beautiful room with a million dollar view of Mt.Fuji. The meal, breakfast and dinner were such a wonderful experience. simply awesome.

• YENJEN (10/5): 相當值得推薦的日式溫泉旅館 - HOTEL位於非常好的位置，房間可以輕易欣賞到富士山以及湖面上的逆富士(天氣好的狀態下)。 價位上每晚包含一泊二食相當的划算。晚餐提供了梨山縣的各種優良特產以及包含油花分布均勻的和牛。 當然免不了的是溫泉的提供，環境乾淨，景色優美。相當值得推薦的日式溫泉旅館。
• Anonymous (8/5): Excellent view of Fuji Mountain - We stayed in a room with Mountain View at extra charge but it was worth it. Got an excellent view of the Fuji Mountain. The room was clean and spacious. The hot spring was good. The staff were courteous and helpful. The only thing we were not completely satisfied was the quality of the food. Just so so, not quite up to standard. We were v disappointed at the sashimi course. We have never encountered such tiny pieces of sashimi before. We are seasoned travelers and had many dinners at hit spring hotels in Japan before. This is the most disappointing one.

• Abdulrahman (2/5): Steer clear of this place. - The worst hotel that I have visited during my stay in Japan, as well as all the hotels that I have ever visited in my lifetime. The 5 star rating was very misleading. Ill be going through the issues as follows: 1. The food was awful, most of it was served cold and tasted bland. We requested warm and cooked food when they served the opposite. 2. Food servers ignored our requests out of their negligence and our server took 40 minute intervals between every serve. 3. The hotel only serves breakfast and dinner, so you are bound to go around town looking for a decent restaurant for lunch and let me tell you this, most of the restaurants are closed by lunch time. 4. The restroom was depressing, it is small and smelly. 5. The room was advertised to fit 4 people, when in reality it barely fits 2 people. 6. The walls are very thin, we woke up mid night to the sounds of motorcycles racing. The only positive thing about this hotel is the view of Mt. Fuji, the rest is awful. The price paid does not meet the service presented.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Best ryokan spa in Mt Fuji - This was our second trip there within 3 months! It's the best location overlooking the lake. The food is incredible and the outdoors mineral spa is so zen. Kozantei Ubuya is definitely one of our all time fav spas. We will be back.

• MerryMag (10/5): THE BEST - Awesome View Of Mt Fuji - Ubuya has the best view of Mt Fuji in Lake Kawaguichi and we are very happy with our stay there. The Superior Room is very large and dinner is awesome. Service staff is also well trained & good. But the highlight is to be greeted by a snow capped Mt Fuji early in the morning and the shores of the Lake were covered by snow and glitters. What a beauty to behold.

Fuji did not want to come out of the clouds during my stay. Best part was the staff's service, so friendly and considerate. Most incredible sight was when guests were leaving in the complimentary shuttles, staff would stand outside and wave the guests off until the shuttle drove around the corner... only in Japan!

• Katharine (10/5): Would visit again in a heartbeat - Spectacular view of lake and Mt Fuji from our room. Really amazing hot spring baths in the hotel with seven different rooms many looking out over Mt Fuji. Really friendly staff help explain what to do. Food was also outstanding- seasonal Kaiseki meals prepared with vegan and pescatarian requests. Just cross the street and you are on the walking path around the lake. Shuttle bus pick up from train station. Pleasant welcome with tea and treats.
• PETER (10/5): Delicious Kaiseki - wonderful service - We stayed two nights and were desperately disappointed to leave so soon. Yes this is an expensive hotel but you get what you paid for. We will certainly be back once we are fit enough to climb to the summit of Fuji-san. Thank you Kozantei Ubuya
• Cheery M (10/5): High Recommended - I was on vacation with my family to Japan, after a week of traveling we were very tired, and before going back to my country, we visited Kawaguchiko and chose Kozantei Ubuya. All the family members can be relaxing, the hotel staff very helpful, Dinner and breakfast were tasty and convenient hot spring.
• Yee Lam (8/5): Very good experience - The room view is amazing, just beside the lake and can see mt. Fuji without any blocking. I stayed a night in the japanese style room. It's very comfortable and the futon bed was surprisingly soft that I didnt feel I was sleeping on the floor. Dinner and breakfast were very tasty and beautiful, we had sashimi and japanese beef shabu shabu. That were so good! The staffs are very helpful and nice. They provided god service and can pick you up directly from the railway station to the hotel. Overall, I did enjoy the hotel.
• Lena (10/5): Breathtaking view of Mt Fuji - We had a corner deluxe suite so the room was huge with a spectacular view of Mt Fuji! Though the hotel showed signs of aging, everything was well appointed. The separate Onsens had 2 floors each, both with great views of the lake and Mt Fuji. Service at the restaurant could have been better but the meals that were included were very good.
• Sunil (10/5): Amazing stay, some tips for foreign travelers - We spent 2 nights here, and the meals alone were so gorgeous and delicious -- we probably got our money's worth from the 6-course dinners alone! We had a stellar view of Mount Fuji when we woke up, which I totally appreciated and made the trip here all the worth it. The complimentary coffee/tea service in the morning and afternoon were perfect, and the infused relaxing tea service at night was sublime. We took full advantage of the public baths, which themselves had gorgeous views of the lake and mountain. Some tips --- for the price we paid, I would've expected the staff to be a bit more conversant in English. For instance, we were trying to ask questions about the set courses we were about to eat, and our waitress struggled and couldn't answer us. I don't expect fluent English, but for a 5-star hotel like this one, I'd have hoped for a higher-level of engagement for non-Japanese speaking folks. The other thing I wish I knew before -- we checked out at 11 am, and just wanted to sit in the relaxation lounge for a few hours before our 3 pm train. However, they advised us they're cleaning the entire hotel between 11 and 2, so we had to leave the premises. I thought that was a little off-putting, but we ended up walking around the lake and grabbing a nice lunch in town (only 20 min walking away), so it worked out well. Alas, those were the only things...great stay, and for the food and huge room (with very convenient twin sinks).

• Verified traveler (8/5): great chance to taste Japanese tradition - went in a group of 6, spent a night as we were planning to hike Mount Fuji the next day. hotel provides free shuttle to kawaguchiko station. half board was great, like Japanese fine dining but breakfast could be better. service was fantastic. hot spring was great, though the outdoor view of mount fuji was limited. the hot spring is gender specific and provides one indoor and one outdoor. overall a good hotel, i would recommend it for a traditonal night stay. though abit pricy, the area tends to be along this price. and it's worth it for one night of tradition and comfort.
