That's to be expected of a small biz hotel (the kind we prefer these days!). Room exceptionally clean and evidently had been remodeled. Only glitch was housekeeping knocked on our door at 8:30am! Good grief, we haven't checked out yet and are still getting things together.

The bed at best was a queen; it could have been a double. One of the two chairs in the room was so broken down you had to put a pillow in it to sit. No table to sit at; little space for our luggage. Maybe some of the other rooms on the property, but out room was unacceptable.
• melvyn (2/5): - Have stayed here multiple times and was a great place, unfortunately looks like it has changed ownership. upon arrival some young lady rushed out asked me to sign passed a key and didn't even want to look at my id. which seemed a little odd.. when going to the ice machine she rushed out asked like what am i going or where am i going, did not feel welcome oh and the hot water was Luke warm outside temps in single degs i like a hot shower.. will not use again there's plenty other places around blowing rock don't use this one

Would rate 5 stars, but we didn't get any sleep all night because the heater unit wouldn’t work right, and it made the room incredibly hot and uncomfortable. Also, someone left a dog in the adjacent room, which whined and made noises all night.

Bath room was so small and no space to put anything.....I had to sit sideward on the commode! I got a $75 charge on my credit card after leaving and have no idea why?? Would never recommend it to anyone unless they were desperate.
• Prudence (8/5): Love the Alpine Inn - We love staying at the Alpine Inn. The local is fabulous for walking up town to eat and shop. It is a older hotel and the rooms are nice with great beds and linen. The bathroom has been remodeled but a bit small. The landscape is lovely with rocking chairs outside your room.

• Terence (4/5): Tiny room - My wife and I reserved a standard queen room for a 3 night stay. When we got to our room, it was tiny (barely fit the bed). We requested a 2 bed unit or larger room that would accommodate us but none were available. They refused to refund any $ and we went next door to the Hillwinds (absolutely loved it)

• Verified traveler (10/5): - This 50's-style motel is small, but very clean and well-kept. The bed was unusually comfortable, and the convenient location can't be beat. We brought a pet along for a nominal fee, and most of the other guests did also.
• Verified traveler (4/5): - Not enough parking. We had two cars but they only have enough parking for one car per room. We were not told this but were given an extra pass for parking. It was a full house and since others had two cars also, we would have to ride around town looking for parking. Very thin walls and doors and we could hear every conversation our neighbors had. At 2:00am you do not care to. Staff lives in office and did not allow anyone inside, which I can understand since they are all females but when I went to door to tell them we didn't want room service, lady came to door with gown on at 9:30 am. When we came back from eating we caught 3 housekeeping staff in our room. They had it cleaned but had moved around our childrens medical supplies which was purpose in not having strangers in our room. Also room pctures are deceiving. The good things about the room was the location, within walking distance to downtown Blowing Rock, and the sheets, very soft.

I don't recommend anyone, I left at 5 am and went to a hotel!

I left at 930am for breakfast 2 doors down, received a call from Katherine; she had a complaint that my dogs had been barking for "40 minutes"Katherine also told me my dogs barked for 40 minutes,

The room was perfect for a weekend get away. Room was clean and comfortable. The location is within walking distance of dining and shopping.

• Anna (10/5): Very cute motel! - Very pleasant stay at the Alpine Village Inn! Check in was very smooth and pleasant. The room we stayed in was just a basic room with no extra frills, but the bed was very comfortable, and the room was extremely clean. My only complaint is that the TV didn't work, but we did have some extremely snowy and icy weather during our stay, so Im not sure if that had something to do with it. However the Wifi worked great, so we weren't too bothered by the lack of TV. Overall it was a lovely stay and I would definitely stay again!

Location is perfect for a quick walk to all Blowing Rock has to offer. Best part was the interaction with the owners. It’s obvious they care about there customers and go out of their way to make you into a repeat customer.

• Alicia (4/5): Disappointing night - Chose this hotel due it’s proximity to restaurants on Main Street and because of the good reviews It was within easy walking distance to all the restaurants. However the room was disappointing because it had a very strong disinfectant smell that was overpowering the whole night. The walls of the room are very thin and unfortunately our next door neighbor chose to sleep with their TV on the whole night. Overall it was a very exhausting and unpleasant stay. Will definitely not return!

• Jim (8/5): - Stayed 1 night in a queen bed room. First, I was pleasantly surprised with the owners/mgmt. I booked the room through one my my usual booking sites. They called me to tell me I could get a better rate through their website (which I didn’t know they had), and they’d cancel my current booking and gave me the new booking at the reduced rate. Many places would not have done that. The room was not large, but I knew that going in, and did not expect a large room. However, the bathroom was very nice size. Larger than many of the other places in the same location. Clean room, had tv/cable, fridge, coffee maker, etc. There was an adjoining room door, so could hear the neighbors a bit. Great location, and I knew that ahead of time. Parking is a little tight, especially in this era of big trucks and SUVs. I’d definitely stay there again, especially due to the courtesy provided to me by the mgmt.

• Daffney (10/5): We love Alpine Inn - This was our 3rd stay at the Alpine Inn. They provide so many thoughtful touches, you forget it is a hotel room. The bed is so comfortable and the room is sparkling clean. We will continue to choose Alpine Inn for our lodging each time we visit Blowing Rock!

Very convenient location one block from downtown Main Street in Blowing Rock and easy access to highway. Nice shopping and restaurants in walking distance. I've stayed there several times and would go back. In the negative category, office is sometimes "unmanned." Also, this is not their fault; but, road construction is going on in front of the property and access is difficult, although that probably won't last long.
