• Francesca (9/5): - This is a really cool and characterful hotel right in the heart of the Barrio Gótico, making it a perfect base for exploring the city. The decor is very original and gives the hotel a unique atmosphere, and our room was very comfortable. The bar and restaurant are also excellent — fun, with a great ambience and a wide variety of food and drink options. The staff who were also very welcoming and helpful.

• Jasmin (8/5): Für ein Wochenende ein perfektes Hotel - Das Hotel liegt super Zentral im Viertel El Born. Das Personal ist sehr kompetent und nett. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im 4.Stock. Im Gang gibt es eine Getränkestation mit Kaffee, Tees und Wasser. Die Zimmer sind nett eingerichtet, und das Bett war bequem. Es gibt eine sehr coole Bar im Hotel Das Fenster zum Hinterhof konnte man öffnen, aber es war sehr laut, daher bleibt nur die Klimaanlage. Die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig, man hört die Toilettenspülung vom Nachbarzimmer oder auch die Dusche. Im Zimmer gibt es leider keinen Kühlschrank. Das Badezimmer ist so dunkel, das Schminken unmöglich ist.

The windows are not sound proof, and since we were facing the road, even at the 3rd floor, it was quite noisy, and we couldn't sleep that much on the first night (a Saturday).

• Dionne (10/5): Such a lovely stay - We had such a lovely stay at this hotel. First of all, the location is incredible, my favourite area to stay in Barcelona, with everything close by. The hotel itself is new and has a quirky, unique feel. With its Cuban and Scottish punk-inspired design, it is a great choice for a city break. Our room had two lovely balconies, a comfortable bed, and a really nice shower. We were also welcomed with a thoughtful surprise, a little cake, wine, juice, and some sweets, which made our arrival extra special. The breakfast was delicious as well. Everyone at the hotel was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. We would definitely recommend this place and would happily come back again. Nothing 10/10

Hyggelig aften bar og restaurant. Der mangler udendørs tagterrasse eller lignende. Men det vidste vi jo godt da vi bookede. Samtidig skal man være indstillet på at der er lidt mørkt på hotellet hvilket er en klart bevidst del af indretningen, som prioritere hygge og autenticitet.

They were kind enough to store our luggage before check in and let us know immediately as soon as our room was available. It was clean and comfortable. It also has a common room on each floor with complimentary coffee, tea and drinking water. Reccomended!
• SeansBeard (7/5): Check in staff were genuinely fab - so that was a big benefit. AND LOCATION FANTASTIC - Great, quirky promise for a hotel - that sort of delivered, but at the same time, just a little ragged at the edges. I'd suggest it needs a bit of a makeover/upgrade. you know the kind of thing, paintwork all a bit scuffed and scratched and the room itself was pretty dark & dingy - (only bedside lights - no ceiling light at all. Which probably meant I couldn't see how tired the room really was! The 'Balcony' room : balcony was a foot wide and opened up on the alleyway behind, so it was not really a plus to the room. Perhaps other ones better? Lift wasn't working , so finding your room not the easiest way up the stairs as a warren of steps and again - not that well lit. Signs at the top of stairs to point the way to the rooms. An overall refresh. More lighting. A handy guide/print out in the room to talk about the hotel and rest. - I think all the othe 'Cic & Basic' Hotels in Barcelona in this group might be newer/fresher?

• Grace (9/5): Convenient, basic stay. - Location was great, in El Born right near the Gothic quarter and close to a metro station. The gentleman at check-in was notably thorough, kind, and helpful. The room was large by European standards and had high ceilings. The bed was big also. The water/coffee station on each floor was a really nice convenience- loved that it had carbonated water, ice water, and room temp water options and a Nespresso machine. The room was indeed basic- the furniture was small and sparse and I wish there had been more given the size of the room. A luggage rack would have been nice. Also, the room does not have a fridge. Though the room felt clean, it did show some wear, which I suppose does fit the Scottish punk vibe of the place. The hotel reception is connected to a bar and we stayed on the first floor above it, which was fairly loud. It wasn’t a big issue for us since we were up late most nights anyway, but if you are concerned about noise, try to stay on a higher floor.

Jag hade ett enkelrum och rummet var ganska litet. Framförallt saknade jag ett avlastningsbord eller liknande. Men i övrigt älskar jag interiören på hotellet!

Belysningen i rummet och badrummet är väldigt dov och det finns ingen taklampa. Svårt att sminka sig då ljuset är mörkt. Sängen bäddas med täcket invikt under madrassen så att lakanet åker av varenda gång man ska ta fram täcket.

There’s a water station on every floor making it convenient to refill water. Can leave luggage in a locked room upon checkout Just be aware if your coming as a family, it’s not very family friendly - it’s the style of the hotel though, I just didn’t look into the hotel deep enough and got some surprises from the decors

• Lydia (8/5): Ideal para visitar Barcelona. - La ubicación perfecta para disfrutar de Barcelona a pie y la decoración un poco oscura pero muy originales. Nos alojaron en la habitación 100 (entresuelo), una habitación que nos dimos cuenta que está adaptada para personas con discapacidad/silla de ruedas. Con eso era muy espaciosa pero la ducha muy bajita i el espejo del baño muy mal iluminado. Hubiera agradecido que nos hubiera avisado.

• JOSELI (8/5): Ótima localização e café da manhã que vale a pena! - Sem dúvida a localização é o ponto forte! A equipe é muito simpática e o café da manhã sensacional! Vale a pena tomar no hotel! Gostei da decoração, de ter aguá, cafe e chá no corredor. Não é exatamente que não gostei mas não há porta no chuveiro (do quarto onde estive) o que deixou meu banheiro bem molhado! Um pequeno frigobar também ajudaria para medicação e bebidas. E o preço da estadia em Barcelona (não só neste hotel) que é muito alto.
