- Selene (2/5): - This property is nasty all bed sheets and all were very nasty not a place to sleep there was a bed bug and the bathroom very nasty like if they had just used it. I don’t understand where it gets its rating from because it’s not a place to stay I came in the room stains on the sheets and pillows. The front desk guy he looked like he just woke up from his nap. His hair was all messed up just very unprofessional.

- Yu Tai (4/5): The kitchenette had no pans/pots. Not recommended. - I booked this motel because of its kitchenette but there were no pans or pots in its cabinet, so it's useless. The room and bathroom were small and had no closet at all. The bed is OK but the overall experience was below average.
- Scottie (2/5): - Nastiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in, An obvious drug den. cigarette burns on the bedding, dirty pillow cases and sheets, dirt on the floor, piss on the toilet, dirty mirrors. The only clean part was the shower. Noisy ppl working on vehicles in the parking lot at 3 am as well as cars coming and going all night. Went to check in and took 30 minutes for the front desk attendant to come out of the office to check in. Not worth the 80 dollars I spent to stay one night.

I do not recommend this hotel to anyone you will not get a good nights sleep because you will worry about someone breaking into your car all night
- MARY (2/5): - Way overpriced. This ia a 1 star motel. Microwave should be thrown out. Bathroom reminds me of a bad gas station (not like the nice Valero ones). Missing security latch. Linens and pillows either dirty or too stained to keep using. I should have camped instead. Pay extra $20 for next motel up!!!

I tried to contact Expedia with the Virtual Customer Service to modify my reservation and got no response. The manager booked me for a one night stay in a similar room. The room was not clean and the bathroom light was not working and the bathroom sink drain was very slow. The ice machine was not in service. The experience was not good.

- Lorine (8/5): - We arrived at midnight and according to Expedia, there was a 24h front desk. There’s not - it closes at 10pm. I called the desk and no one answered, then called Expedia, which reached an employee. It turned out desk staff had called me (but I was out of cell range and didn’t realize I had a message) and told me they would leave a key for me, so they had prepared our room and left the key and we were ecstatic to have this nice room (with a fridge). I had to hunt down staff the next morning for a receipt but they were very kind and accommodating. We loved our stay at this humble but clean motel.
- Nikki (8/5): - Tried to contact this property prior to booking to ask about their pet policy, no one answered & no voicemail option. Booked anyway because it was a good price & close to Great Sand Dunes NP. Arrived a few minutes before check-in, no one was there and the lobby was locked. Waited til a few minutes after, called, and was informed someone would be there 'soon'. The guy did arrive like 3 minutes after that, but certainly not a great first impression. The hotel is just outside of the main part of the little city, so just a quick drive to things. Although the room kind of had all the decor similar to the pictures, in person it didnt seem to look anything like the room shown. Toilet was in a super weird alcove that felt like a closet. The room was a good size, it was acceptably clean (clean surfaces, clean bathroom, clean linens, decent towels, and most importantly no bed bugs) but it did have kinda dirty floors & the fridge was caked thickly in ice build up & was full of coffee grinds? As far as pet friendliness, there was a small fake grass patch out towards the front that worked for potty breaks. It was an unremarkable stay. If you're looking for a cheap, good enough, place to crash while you visit sand dunes? This was perfect.

- 301heathh (2/5): Nasty room - I checked in at 5 minutes before the office closed. Room was nasty. Had several human hairs on the sheets when i opened them up. Pillow cases were dingy as were the walls. I called the office about changing rooms. They gave me a different room but it was just as gross. Lots of pet hair on the sheets and floors. Walls were splattered with food as well as scuffs and markings. They office closed at 10:00 pm so i just left and went to hampton inn. For $50 more my room is top notch

The air conditioning was a bit hard to control but did drown some of the street noise and the bathtub was slippery. The beds are fine. The price was good.

The microwave was nasty and the mini fridge was nasty the breakfast door was looked so we couldnt eat our free breakfast. My grandpa is disabled and he had trouble getting in his bed it was to high up and the chair was to close to the bed and table he couldnt put his shoes and stuff on. But the staff was real friendly though and we decided not to stay the secong nite she gave my grandpa his money back but told us we had to wait for her to talk to her manager but we should be refunded within 3 business days
- Leon (6/5): - It was a comfy place for the night, and the AC worked!! The bedding was clean, and we had hot showers!! But, the faucet in the tub was loose from the wall, you had to use 2 hands to get the shower pull all the way up to turn the shower on, and in the morning there was no hot water for washing your face. The price wasnt too terrible, i guess, but plenty for the condition of the room. We are thankful we had a comfy place to sleep and that the AC worked!! And the staff were friendly.

My room was dated in the extreme with numerous stains especially in the kitchen area and an oven which looked like it had been sourced from the bottom of the sea. Most of the power sockets didn’t work and more worryingly many looked like they had melted. To add insult to injury the rooms were way overpriced and the owners indifferent, if not downright unfriendly. On the plus side, I didn’t get stabbed in the night, the bed was reasonably comfortable and the breakfast OK. Stay only if you are truly desperate and even then I would recommend sleeping in your car.
- L6273DCjond (2/5): Not even a 1 star AVOID AT ALL COSTS - Dirty rooms with sticky floors, hairs on the floor along with water from a leaking roof and fridge, dirty shower. All the rooms that we stayed in were very dirty, to such a state that one of us refused to use the shower. Some of the electrical points were either broken or melted which is dangerous. The price was extortionate at $136 and should have been $50 at a push. The owners of the motel where very unfriendly. Would not recommend staying here at all cost.

- Jessica (8/5): Pleasantly surprised - I was worried after some previous reviews about what the Valley motel would be like, but after staying there I was impressed. It is a simple motel, but was very clean and comfortable. My family of 5 was able to stay in a big room, which was nice and affordable. It was also close to Adams State where I was taking classes, and not too far from Main Street. I would definitely stay there again.

It was not possible for the front desk worker to see my reservation in the computer, so we were lucky there were still vacant rooms. I was charged $125 even though my Travelocity reservation said it would be $113. The smoke detector and hair dryer had been removed. The description said there was guest laundry facilities on-site, but there was only a dryer.

We decided to check out before staying the night and went to the Comfort Inn instead. Staff did not offer any form of refund and charged for a full night including extra fees, we left the room barely touched. Absolutely do not recommend.

Absolutely disgusting hotel!

- Gregory (4/5): Pay More and Go Somewhere Else - The room is smaller than Motel 6. There was no bathtub, just a shower. The blinds for the window offered minimum privacy. When I arrived at the hotel there was no one in the office. I had to come back later. I had to give them more info at check in than I have in a very long time. If I had looked at the pictures for the room instead of price, I might have chosen somewhere else to stay.

I was charged for 3 rooms but only reserved 2. I will not be happy nor recommend this place if this doesn't get resolved immediately.
- Alexiss (2/5): - Stayed here because I read good reviews. Found food particles literally stuck to the blankets. Stained bedsheets. Peanuts?? In the bed, found them when I went under the covers and felt them with my feet. Which means they PRETENDED to clean the room which is worse than just not cleaning it. Air conditioner has higher decibels than a loud car motor and we were unable to run it at all. Could hear all our neighbors the whole night. Honestly? I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt. In return, I got a filthy bed. Filled with what looked like pubes and peanuts. Incredibly unhappy. If I could have stayed somewhere else, I would have. But of course they take advantage of being one of the only affordable motels in the area. Bathroom door couldn't close all the way because it was missing one of the hinges. I'm mostly just grateful we didn't get a surprise visit from bedbugs with how gross this place was. Breakfast was advertised but not provided. My suggestion? Spend a little more and stay somewhere else. You might at least get a clean room that way.
- Matt (8/5): A good budget motel with a massive family room! - This is a good budget motel. The big winner for us was a room with the double beds and a sofa bed. Perfect for our family of 5. It is otherwise fairly basic, including the breakfast.

Seemed to be bothered that our things were stole. The morning staff rushed to eat the hot breakfast getting in line before guests and taking alot of the food. At least the staff got a hot breakfast. - Jonathan (10/5): - I don’t usually like lower budget hotels/motels but this place is somewhere that I would stay again when I go down south to visit my buddy in La Jara. It’s very quiet, clean and practical.
- Jason (10/5): Hit and run - Our vehicle was hit when a person was leaving the hotel, they did not stop but the hotel was able to coordinate with local PD to get the video and tag number of the vehicle. Thanks to the management, we will hopefully find the responsible party.

- John (8/5): - Property was nice and clean. Room was a little noisy. I could here people talking and some thumps from time to time. Property has recently been renovated and my room did not have a smoke detector, just a hole in the ceiling with wires where it should have been.
- Mark (6/5): Basic but clean - Basic but clean. Only two total pillows for two adults and they were uncomfortable. Another small thing was we were not greeted with a hello or given a thank you for staying.

- Gabriela Herta (4/5): - The property owner was very rude to the staff of Expedia and to me, when we had a misunderstanding of the payment for the room.
- Marsha (6/5): - The night staff person was very nice, but she hadn't been trained on how to check in someone who made a reservation through Expedia. So, check in did not go well. The boss needs to train his employees!
- Randy (4/5): No one to check you in. - Arrived at 11pm to no one in the office. Tried calling to no answer. The have a door bell that did nothing. Two other people showed up with reservations. They couldn’t get anything. Called customer support. They tried calling even though I could see the phone no one was at so that didn’t work. Was booked a different hotel. Got to new hotel after 1am.
- Chris (2/5): - Even though we had a reservation they gave away our room and we had to stay in a room in another town.
- Veronica (6/5): - There were no hangers. I couldn't hang my graduation dress. A thick layer of dust was everywhere. I left the water running for 20 minutes and it never got hot. So I washed up instead of shower.
- Sarah (8/5): - We have stayed here 3 times now. It is cost effective. They are remodeling and it shows, the work is well done and looks nice. They are not the fanciest rooms but they are clean, convenient and priced fairly.

- Tiffany (6/5): - This was the strangest check-in experience I've ever had in my life. We tried 4 rooms before finding one that worked. I'm not being picky, this is what happened- 1st room: key didn't work and person at front desk opted to give us a different room. 2nd room: door opened and IT WAS OCCUPIED. 3rd room: when we opened the door, it was completely full of mattresses (good news for the future I suppose) to the point that the door barely opened, cleary being used for storage. 4th room: this one was a real room. Yay! Mind you, we arrived rather early, around 4:30pm. I shudder to think what would have happened later in the evening when there were less options. Our final room was fine- I'd say on par with a nicer Motel 6. Not super clean, but totally fine. I probably wouldnt stay here again because of the check-in issues. Particularly giving me the key to an occupied room (really made me feel like they could just let someone else into my room).

- Heidi (8/5): Great place to stay - Great helpful staff to check in. Walked to ihop.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Find somewhere else - I know it's Alamosa and you don't have many choices but this wasn't a good choice. First room we were given had not been cleaned. Second room just had the comforters pulled up so it looked like somebody cleaned but they hadn't as there were hairs and crumbs in the bed. This is a conscious act to fraudulenly deceive and worse then not cleaning. We would have left but had nowhere to go so the third room, despite a hole in comforter and stained sheets and towels, was at least cleaned. Breakfast was crap - Walmart "great value" snack sized muffins and yogurt. The lobby was also dirty and had an overwhelming smell of curry.
