The "barn door" to the bathroom had a gap between it and the wall, and rolled open several inches when we tried to close it. Bed was way too soft. When I walked to the bathroom , floor seemed sandy The cable box was just dangling behind the TV! We were on the 2nd floor and elevator was out of service, so we had to climb stairs at the end of the building. Not very convenient. It's just an oldand tired property.
Walter (4/5): Never come back!!! - Und wir kommen nach Provincetown zurück!!! Auch wenn wir Europäer sind!!! - Frühstück war ein billiger Muffin, der an der Rezeption ausgegeben wurde. Wir sind privat frühstücken gegangen. Die Lage war gut. Highlight war das Restaurant Fanizzi‘s daneben. Vieles. Nach 5 Tagen im Luxushotel Langham, haben wir - obwohl wir für das 3 Sterne Hotel Surfside Inn einen höheren Zimmerpreis bezahlt haben, wie für das 5 Sterne Hotel - eine symbolische Ohrfeige erhalten. Das Hotel wurde zwar innen renoviert, außen ist aber noch Einiges zu tun, um dieses in die Jahre gekommene Hotel auf Vordermann zu bringen. Das fängt bei der schmutzigen, klemmenden Eingangstür an, geht über eine mehr als abgetretene Türschwelle, bis zu einem ungeputzten (schimmligen??) Fliegengitterrahmen, einem verstopften WC bei der Ankunft, einem Laken mit Flecken und einem Schimmelfleck im Bad. Vom dreckigen Fahrstuhl gar nicht zu sprechen. Und das alles um $ 2260.- für 4 Tage!!! Da kommt man sich schon ein bisschen ausgenommen vor, aber vielleicht ist es dem Besitzer ja egal. Er denkt sich: die Europäer kommen nie wieder. Ach ja, obwohl vor Monaten gebucht und das Hotel NICHT ausgelastet war, hat man uns ein Zimmer gegeben, auf deren Terrasse genau die Treppe in die oberen Stockwerke verlaufen ist. Zufall? Das Hotel arbeitet mit vielen jungen Leuten (Studenten) zusammen, die auch die Zimmer „sauber“ machen, die allesamt sehr nett & freundlich sind, aber halt keine Profis in Sachen Gästebetreuung.

Stationnement sur place. Hôtel proche du centre de Provincetown, accessible à pied très rapidement. Au calme, mais on retrouve les commerces en quelques minutes à pied.

Edward (10/5): - Surfside was perfect! All we had to do was park the car and after that explore Provincetown. The pier to go whale watching is only about 10 minutes walking distance and the area itself has plenty of restaurant options and great shops to check out. The entertainment during the evening hours was the best.
Doris (10/5): - Great friendly service. Lighthouse cocktails in lounge with Steve were yummy! Worth the stop. Close to all the shops and pedicab service for those that don’t want to walk. Bike rentals and scooters available too. Right next to Fanizzi’s that serves delicious food. Great menu. The view is amazing! Beautiful sunrises! You can see the ferry coming and going, tides, fishing boats, and more. Pool still open and people are swimming, end of Sept! Peaceful and relaxing.
johnwM6394BU (10/5): Perfect place for us - We stayed here mid September with family, Daughter, Grand Daughter and son in law we had a wonderful time, location was perfect about a mile from town center which was perfect as we are all walkers. The room was very nice had everything we needed, the view from the room was breathtaking, you had a perfect view of the bay. The hotel provides a breakfast which was very nice. Great place. We are planing to return next year.

Alyssa (10/5): - We had the best stay at Surfside Hotel & Suites. We booked a water front view and it was beautiful! It was so nice waking up each morning to the sunrise. The room was very nice and the shower was fantastic! It was very large and the water pressure was perfect. The room was very clean and they cleaned it daily and provided fresh towels. We loved this. We also enjoyed that we were right on the beach and could easily walk down to enjoy it. The pool was also a nice ammenity and we spent a day relaxing by the pool. The hotel was also VERY dog friendly and we cannot wait to bring our pup in the future. He would absolutely LOVE it. The only improvements would be the morning breakfast (which I think was very limited due to construction but still worked out just fine) and the air conditioner was a bit noisy. The AC did look brand new but would turn on and off many times throughout the night when it "reached its temperature " but made it a bit hard to sleep. I got used to it by a few nights in but just something to be aware of. It did not ruin my stay at all. Overall, we absolutely LOVED our stay and cannot wait to go back next year. We had the best time and made so many great memories.

600tammiec (4/5): Not good - Places was under construction didn’t tell you when I booked my room. Price I paid for room was not worth it. Room smelled like pine soil, shower door didn’t close. The pillows were kids size with no fluff to them and bedding was like staying at a motel 6. Bed hard as a rock. We paid a lot for the stay expected some comfort. Only positive outcome was location. Will not recommend this hotel. Rated it 2 out of 5

Her knowledge of the town helped us find great activities and enhanced our vacation…we had a room right on the water which allowed for nice walks, and access to the water and views of starlit sky! Will be back again!

Pravina (5/5): Seriously overpriced accommodation but a beautiful town - Location, view from Balcony Dirty floor, windows, poor decoration in bathroom (eg toilet roll holder gap filler visible. Staff disinterested with anything we might say or ask for. We appreciate you have had some of the hotel closed for refurbishment but the Lobby and breakfast area was appalling. The place did not reflect the website photos or the price. Almost feels Like a misrepresentation
Carol (10/5): - Great stay at Surfside. Friendly staff aiming to please. This area is quieter than other parts of Ptown which was great but a little further to walk to Town when weather is very hot and humid. Pool area with plenty of Umbrellas and loungers and option of small beach with loungers across the street is ideal. Although they say all day coffee if you are an early riser would recommend to bring your own coffee maker .Coffee maker in room was inadequate...( should have been a Keurig at that price point) Office and coffee opens at 8am...good to know. Place was clean and room was spacious enough. Some current construction was inconveniently planned for height of season but will be well worth it in the end..
Shannon (6/5): - We were not told of property construction going on that eliminated the front office, bar, restaurant, and easy access to pool. There are large free standing storage units in the parking lot, which I heard have been there for years. It said breakfast was available to include eggs etc and it was not. Store bought muffins were available in the makeshift ‘front office’. Rooms need total updating to include the old very loud AC units which kept us awake at night. The small beach on the property was nothing like it was pictured online. There was a lot of seaweed and loungers were thrown about. Our cleaning person was excellent. Pool area was nice. If I had known about the construction occurring, I would have booked elsewhere for the 500 per night we paid. We were never offered any discount for this big inconvenience. Will not stay again.
mvollmer54 (10/5): Nags Head Paradise - Great facility, rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable and the views from our corner king room were spectacular. The property and parking lots around this hotel are huge and the beach is large, clean and easy to access via a ramp from the hotel. The daily hot breakfast is also delicious and plentiful. The staff here are welcoming and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable.

Kathleen (8/5): - We had a great time, and loved being able to have our dogs with us. At check though, we were told that we would be unable to leave the dogs in the room unattended - but it clearly states on the website that they were allowed. Threw a wrench into our plans a little but no big deal we were able to bring them with us. I mentioned it at check out - and the employee then told us that that is not the case, and we shouldn't have been told that. Anyways - location is great, close to the water and town center. Beautiful beach.
bubbles-voltron (10/5): PURE MAGIC - The Surfside Inn consistently allows for a solid “magical” experience. The given benefits are its superb location, which blends easy Commercial Street access and quaint ocean access, but away from the sometimes electric hub bub of center PTown. A short walk puts you right in the center of that action. Kids and dogs are welcome, but are not a detraction from a romantic couples retreat as well. Charms include a super friendly and efficient staff with an eye for tidy details and the heartfelt intention to make everyone’s stay pleasant and memorable. To end this “woo-woo” review without mentioning the front desk and their inherent kindness and concern for our happiness would be a tragedy. For decades the Surfside Inn has been the most welcoming gem to our family while exploring PTown. PS - Don’t be bummed out by the major renovations that may be occurring for the benefit of all. Progress is a good thing and the trending upgrades were not burdensome at all, for they are only temporary and a welcome very welcome to greatness. Though, I’m not sure you can get any better than what the Surfside Inn historically has offered.

Satish (10/5): Exceptional - Too a weekend trip with my daughter, mom, niece, and me. I was supposed to stay in a standard 2 Queen room. Due to construction, they had to move us, and I was not disappointed! The staff was Awesome and they put us up in the Harborview room, ocean front, I bedroom, 1 murfee bed, and pull out sofa! Staff is a amazing!! I would definitely stay here again!

Q4148SDkima (10/5): My dog lives the bay !!! - Love the pool and access to bay - especially low tide for my dog to retrieve her tennis ball. We love coming here. Perfect for us and our dog. Love the availability of the continental breakfast, so convenient. Love the pool, the bay, the fiirepit to hang out and meet new people. I would not stay anywhere else in Ptown. Staff is the absolute best, so helpful and accommodating. Place was being cleaned continuously- sweeping the outdoor grounds and weeding. The room we stayed in had been redone and was beautiful. Love the dispensers of hand soap, hand cream. Shampoo/cond. and body wash - brilliant!!! Commercial street has everything - so much fun to walk, shop n dine. During this year, with the structural issues closing rooms, the staff was super accommodating and meeting and surpassing our needs. Great Staff - the Manager (Cindy Ladd) is the Best !!!
Jamie (7/5): Good - The walk into town was great, not too long. The room was bright and had great water pressure. The bed was comfortable too. The housekeeping staff was not great. There was no dusting, mopping or vacuuming done. From what we could tell they changed the towels, made the bed and took out the garbage.

The only small concern with the room was the a/c is louder than expected. Also the baloney is a shared space which was fine but we weren’t aware of it. Also checking in was very confusing since there are wall barriers due to renovation on the office side. There aren’t any clear signs telling guests where to go…

They juggled and made our weekend! The room was spotless. They made sure we had breakfast even though at the time there was construction going on, which I’m reliably informed has ended. Absolutely recommend

Lea (8/5): - Beautiful view from the bay front balconies. The pool was large and clean with a real deep end. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The hotel was under construction which affected the lobby. Be aware that if you are staying in the waterfront building, you will need to drag your suitcases down an alleyway.
Richard (10/5): - This is a large property with access to a small beach and the bay right out the door. They also have a large supply of poolside chairs, umbrellas,; tables etc . I was pleasantly surprised. There's a daily breakfast snack available with muffins, juices, milk tea, and coffee. It's a long walk to the city center, but it couldn't be more pleasant with views of the bay, quaint houses, art galleries, and places to eat. I would definitely stay there again.
Q9141KZlisam (10/5): Excellent hotel with a beautiful beach, warm clear water, beach chairs on the beach, a pool and a lovely walk to town. I - My daughter and I stayed at this property in a beautiful ocean front room for two nights in early June. We arrived late in the evening and Whear graciously greeted by Steve, The front desk manager. He made us feel very welcome and even helped carry our bags to our room. The room was impeccably clean, and the beds were very comfortable, which is always something I’m fearful of! The beach out front was lovely, the water was warm and so clear, and the location of the property was perfect. Located just a little bit before all of the retail shops amidst so many beautiful homes. It was a lovely walk to town. I would highly recommend this property and can’t wait to go back!
Michael (4/5): - We should have been notified that the resort was compromised do to a structural issue. 2/3 of place was shut down. The breakfast was just microwave items and the coffee for all in the make shift lobby(hallway) was a small Mr. coffee machine. The shower products were either low or empty.

Giovanni (4/5): Disappointing - Location The hotel was under construction. I did not get the rooms I booked, nor was I informed of the inconvenience and changes. When I brought up my concerns they weren't addressed. The hotel clerk had an "oh well" attitude. I found him to be rude and not very helpful.
Aaron (6/5): - We had a nice room overlooking the bay. Our room was lovely and not outdated. The folks working the desk were nice as well, but be aware you will be charged a “resort fee” even though most of the amenities are unavailable. the “heated pool” is not heated, and they will recommend visiting a “sister hotel” roughly 1.5 miles away. the hotel bar is currently condemned and closed to the public. the very nice fire pit was also closed. Our stay was fine, i’m just not sure what the “resort fee” was for if none of the amenities were available.

Suzanne (10/5): Great place to stay right on Cape Cod Bay - We really loved the Surfside Inn. The staff were really friendly at check-in and throughout our three-night stay. We had a room two queen beds overlooking the beach, and it was really nice to hear the surf. The room was comfortable and clean, and the free grab-and-go breakfast had food for my kid with gluten, soy, and dairy allergies. It was also in easy walking distance of retaurants, shops, and art galleries. The weather was a little too cool for us to swim in the pool, but we enjoyed walking on the beach. I would definitely stay here again!
Jennifer (10/5): - We upgraded our rooms to the Pilgrims Landing apartment following your suggestion, and it couldn't have been more perfect. The location was prime, within walking distance to downtown and right on the beach. The kitchen, living room area, balcony, bathroom, and bedrooms in the apartment were spacious for the 6 of us. Hotel staff and management (Aleks & Steve) were extremely accommodating and friendly. We can't wait to come back!
