• Dominique (10/5): I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, conveniently located near downtown Castle Rock, with nice views. - The staff was so welcoming and friendly, the breakfast was outstanding with many choices, and the coffee was available all day. My flight was canceled for my return home, the staff was able to easily accommodate me by providing me with another room in order to extend my stay. The rooms were comfortable , clean, and warm, and the shower was nice and hot with great water pressure. Overall, a lovely experience.

I didn’t like the breakfast. The oatmeal felt like they left it in the pot for days because the sides of it are burnt. Also when they clean your room. They never leave new towels. They will only take the olds one. So you would have to go to the front desk to ask for more each time.

• lfb123 (6/5): Acceptable but not running back - The hotel is ok, but the room given doesn't match the photos of the room on the website: there was no couch, no separate area with a microwave and coffee maker. The black fridge was just stuck in a corner, dorm-room style. Don't like that they advertise in-room safes but don't actually have them, and the construction is not great: could hear kids running up and down the hallway upstairs at 5am, and we heard snoring from the next room, all with ear plugs in.

I enjoyed the coffee station:) The chair in our room was dirty and soiled. The shower door was also not pleasing. We received nothing but courtesy, consideration and kindness from the staff. I returned this weekend to help close down my deceased brother-in-law’s apartment. I received the same wonderful treatment as before.

• Carol (8/5): - The Holiday Inn & Express in Castle Rock is a very nice property. The hotel is clean and inviting. Breakfast is pretty good :) The desk staff was terrific. My main complaint is with housekeeping. We stayed for 7 days and asked for housekeeping twice. The first time everything seemed fine. The second time, they didn't change the sheets, or clean the bathroom at all. They did supply two clean towels and a shower mat. I had to go to the desk to ask for hand towels, toilet paper and Kleenex which had been empty both times they cleaned. My main reason for choosing Holiday Inn & Express is because they have a NO PET policy. I am very allergic to animals.

Like smokers had spent a weekend there and an attempt was made to cover the smell with chemicals. And the windows do not open, so we could not let fresh air in. The breakfast was as expected....adequate but not great. We found plenty to keep us satisfied. Good coffee. Parking was easy and plentiful, and it was convenient to get to from the highway. Its a few miles to "downtown" but walkable to the outlet mall. We'd stay again.
