- Anna (8/5): My stay was pleasant and comfortable. - I stayed for a few nights as a solo traveller. I felt safe getting back to the hotel late in the evenings. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff were pleasant and friendly. I didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment on the food. I'll definitely stay again when I'm back in that area in a few months.

- Thomas (10/5): Very satisfactory stay . Helpful staff and clean rooms - I had coffee and toast for breakfast which is my normal . Others seemed to enjoy what they selected As hotel is only a busy corner traffic can be constant . Winter windows would be closed . So it is just one of those things

- Jeanine (10/5): Lovely food and staff . Rooms clean and comfortable. - The staff were very accomodating . I arrived very early on a Sunday (8am) from an early flight. Sandra said she would get me into a room as soon as possible. Which she did and I was very thankful. BreakFast started at 9am on a Sunday but the chef very kindly made me food as soon as he could.. which again I was delighted with. .The other staff I had the pleasure of meeting were all very kind and welcoming. The food was great.. Cant fault it at all. I had nothing bad to say about this place.

Very minor as it was spotless and the staff were excellent. Rooms could do with a bit of modernisation. But for the size of the room, location and venue it was fantastic value for money.

It was in a nice private function room with great live entertainment. The afternoon tea served was of good quality and it was great value for money. I will definitely be supporting future events!

Whilst I didn't have breakfast (Not a big eater in a morning) I did have a look and the food choices were exceptional and very well priced. I did eat in the restaurant at the evening.......Fantastic. There is really nothing that springs to mind that I could comment on. Great place and was Ideal location for my stay whilst working in Paisley.

- Helen (10/5): The most comfortable United Kingdom hotel I have ever stayed in. - I have stayed in many hotels but this was the best United Kingdom hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was spacious, modern, tastefully decorated and furnished. The bathroom had a walk in shower with endless hot water and a good pressure.. The room was spotlessly clean. I ate in the restaurant. The food was first class and very reasonably priced . The staff were friendly and attentive even on a very busy Saturday evening. The hotel is small but modern and situated in a rural area of modern housing and open spaces with ample on site parking and easy access Try as I might I cannot find any fault with this hotel.

- G3627QGnicolal (10/5): Girly afternoon tea - My husband got me afternoon tea gift vouchers to share with my favourite girlies. We booked for 21st February. Started off just 6 of us but ended up being 14 of us! We had such a lovely time. Options of afternoon tea with hot drinks, cocktails or prosecco. Jamie was fantastic, as he always is. Very friendly and approachable, plenty of banter and got our orders spot-on. The rest of the team were also fabulous and it was nice to chat to Colin for a wee while too. Scones in particular were gorgeous, and were warm served with butter, jam and clotted cream on the side. Amount of food- sandwiches and cakes- was fab and we were given takeaway boxes to take the excess home. As an aside, I had cause to access the defibrillator stored on the outside of the hotel through the week on instruction from ambulance service. Colin has trained and has the role of maintaining this and we were so grateful as a family for this equipment when we needed it. Thank you so much to a great team in beautiful surroundings of this cherry blossom decorated haven.

The staff are always very welcoming, especially Jamie, Martin and the Manager who always spend a few minutes chatting to us. All the staff are lovely and even make our dogs feel welcome. Would thoroughly recommend 👍

Another hotel client mention to the owner was it a SCAM I will no use Booking dot com again

- Mansvelder (10/5): Great hotel, great people, great place - Its a small hotel with only 6 rooms, but its very nice and cosy. The people are incredibly nice and great to talk to. The restaurant has a big menu and can house 110 guests. Ive had breakfast there everyday and dinner once and Ive enjoyed the food everytime. The beds are very big and comfortable. In short, a very good hotel and I strongly recommend staying here. There werent any big no go's in my opinion. There were two minor inconveniences: 1. I had to scan my roomcard 3 times everytime I wanted to enter my room. 2. The plank in the closet was a bit dusty. I havent asked about it, cus it didnt bother me.
- H1147RAannemariem (10/5): A delightful Christmas Day Dinner at Mill & Brae - We had a lovely family Christmas Day Dinner at Mill & Brae , food , service and atmosphere was just perfect. We had a table of 13 and were all served simultaneous, Christmas Day can get hectic in other venues but at Mill & Brae we felt relaxed and 'at home'. The pace of serving the meals was spot on , leaving us a little time between main and deserts, nothing was rushed. Well done on your first Service on Christmas Day

I would recommend anyone to try Mill and Brae as the food was delicious and good value for money. It was my husband's first time dining there and he was very impressed with the place, customer service, food and drink. The atmosphere and decor was lovely. Really relaxing after a hectic morning! Thank you to our young waiter who also assisted us in buying gift cards for Xmas presents. My only complaint would be me forgetting his name!!! Next time I visit I will be sure to get this and write another review as he is a real asset to Mill and Brae and deserves a special mention! If you are looking for afternoon tea or lunch their menu is varied with a good selection, catering for all dietary requirements. Loved it!! Thanks again! 10/10

- Kayleigh (1/5): Not reliable - We booked a single room as this property was close to the airport and we had a late flight coming back from holiday. We didn’t end up staying in the hotel. When we booked we noted we’d not be arriving until circa 2am. Nothing back confirming any issues. We booked about a week before leaving for holiday. Whilst on holiday we received the automated check in options and it only ran up till 10pm. Clearly no good for what we needed. We send 6 messages to the hotel via the booking.com chat function and then 2 emails questioning if the 2am arrival was going to be a problem. No response to any of the messages or the emails. As time was ticking on and we were getting apprehensive about having a bed following a late night we tried calling. We must have called 10-12 times on the Saturday. Not once did we get to speak to someone. All automated options which rang out. Message left after numerous tries. Not responded to before midnight on the Sunday. As such we booked alternative accommodation. Couldn’t take the risk. We didn’t end eventually get a call back. 3 days later and 2 days after the booking would have happened.

Bed comfy. Quiet location - shame about the couple having loud phone calls next door but that's always a risk in a hotel. Hotel website has a disclaimer about sometimes having events, which is worth noting.

- C7627DLjuliad (10/5): Coeliac Friendly!! I recommend Mill & Brae for a meal out ... leave room for the cheesecake! - We dropped in today for lunch and were made to feel very welcome. I am coeliac, so it was amazing to find not only that they catered for gluten-free but that there was an extensive menu available. The service was excellent, and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. While we were there, the restaurant became very busy, but the staff just went up a gear and were very attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was a high standard and it tasted as good as it looked! It is wonderful to find somewhere that I can eat with my family where we are all very happy. I highly recommend Mill & Brae for a meal, and just a suggestion . . . try to leave room for dessert because the cheesecake is heavenly! Overall, a lovely meal which was great value for money.
