The apartment had everything we needed, very clean and close to restaurants and a small supermarket. The customer service and communication was superb.

- S4z3d4 (10/5): Review for apartment at Via Rodolfo Farnetti 3 - Please note- Milan Retreats have multiple properties around Milan so go on their website and check each apartment before booking a secondary site. We stayed at Via Rodolfo Farnetti 3. It is a good 15/20 min walk to Milan Centrale and it is 15/20 min walk and 4 stops on metro M3 from Centrale to Duomo Cathedral (around 10 mins on metro but bear in mind the walking). The apartment itself was fine for 5 of us. There were 2 double beds and a single bed. Getting in and out and instructions were clear. Also be mindful that when paying on booking.com the price does not include City Tax so for 5 of us it was an extra £30. The apartment is clean, has AC, a dishwasher, microwave, fridge, washing machine, fryer and oven. It also has a dining table for 4 and a really nice terrace with a table. The bathroom has toiletries and was airy. The top shower doesn’t really work so we used the handheld one. The communication via WhatsApp was fabulous and you can leave your luggage at a property that is around 10 min walk from Duomo cathedral after checkout. I would recommend this if you are all able and can walk unless you will be using taxis.

- Donna (6/5): - Power in the entire apartment, went out the afternoon of our arrival. We could not get any response from management, despite reaching out via phone, text, WhatsApp and email. We did not have electricity restored until the following morning. We went all evening and night with no air conditioning and no electricity with three children. Communication was horrible with management. Their response was they did not respond to WhatsApp after 7:00 PM. Yet I have copies of where they responded via WhatsApp at 8 PM. And that is irrelevant, considering they did not respond to any other forms of attempted communication either. There were six of us staying, we were provided barely enough towels for each person. We had to request towels and housekeeping three times.

AC was working when I returned but if you turned on an overhead light, a circuit breaker would turn off. When I made person aware there were ants, told it’s summer in Milan and they won’t hurt you. Shower door didn’t seal tight, had to mop up water off the floor. Told to leave key in lock box when I left which I did. When I went to exit the building, I couldn’t unlock the front door since I didn’t have a key. Had to wait for someone to enter the building. None of this should’ve happened-AC should’ve turned on with remote, circuit breaker shouldn’t be tripping, should’ve been spray or something to rid the ants, shower door leak should’ve been fixed. I wouldn’t stay here again.

When we had a bag stolen on the train and thought our documents were stolen, they gave us information for the consulate and the best police station to go to. So helpful and considerate. It is in a lovely courtyard, clean and well looked after. The apartment itself is spacious, lovely decor and very well equipped everything you might need. There are various restaurants near CS and also a fantastic pizza restaurant below the apartment. Couldn’t have hoped for better !

The building access is very well planned with two codes at the main door and elevator and well secured. Highly recommended, the sofa bed in the living room is as well good quality as a bed.

- LAM TZE (10/5): - Its 550m from Milan Central station and comfortable for my family to stay 6 nights.. All our local tours and its buses start from Milan station. Great Chinese restaurants around. The only missing item are dresser mirrors in both rooms. Only 1 aircon remote control works. Soemehow, it managed to get the warm air for all rooms. It is a corner ground floot unit wirh the kitchen and main bedroom facing the refuse collection area. At 6-7am, it becomes noisy when the refuse are cleared. Other times were quiet. A bunch of keys were given when only 2 keys are necessary. And only 1 set was given. Bottled shampoo, conditioner and shower gel were great. Toilet seat was loose and needs tightening.

Property is located in a great area (financial district of milan) and close with walking distance to one of the major train stations in Milan (Porta Garibaldi Stazione). - Linh (10/5): - The place was quaint and clean. Loved the two separate bedroom and bathrooms. I preferred cooler air when sleeping and my friend preferred it warmer so that worked out perfectly. Our host checked on us daily which was a very nice gesture and allowed us to drop our bags before check in time due to housekeeping having to clean the property because the other guests just left. The only feedback was the bathroom I was in the shower spray was really slow and the water temperature would drastically change from hot to cold and vice versa without any adjustments made. Overall I’d recommend and stay here again.

The apartment is quite spacious, about 65 sq. meters. Equipped with everything you need for comfortable staying. The bed has good mattress. There’re three sleeping places in it but it’s better to book for two because of specific bathroom’s location. Two adults with one child is OK. Bedroom’s window looks at the silent small side-street. Sleeping is comfortable. Bathroom is well too. The main feature of this apartment is a big terrace. Cafe and minimart are in a step. There’re some great restaurants around. See other reviews. Metro station is reachable by walk. About 5 minutes. The service is very friendly and useful. Price per night is reasonable. Recommend for pleasant accommodation in Milano for some days.

However the apartment that we stayed in at Via Benedetto Marchello 93 did not match the photos and was very dated. But it was clean. The apartment was in the back corner of a a larger apartment block in an area that was not very appealing. If you are arriving at night I would not stay at this particular apartment because you will find it difficult to locate the unit and the key box in the dark and it will not feel safe

Restaurants and cafes on the same block were excellent as was the "food court" at the train station. There were some maintenance issues that they seemed eager to correct, so I hope they did. Apartment smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, but was supposed to be non-smoking. The A/C and washing machine worked great!

We had plumbing and a/c problems and they were all fixed the same day. Why it wasnt fixed before we got there is questionable. Also we jad housekeeping offered twice during our 6 night stay which was nice.

- Amy (2/5): - Fist of all the bed was sunken, second of all the entire toilet bowl was moving, which it is very dangerous to seat in it as I fear that the toilet will break, but also the cleaning lady was very rude to me as I went outside, as I don’t speak Italian, she yelled at me in Italian,even she shout to me when I was trying to dump my trash she rudely yelled “can you dump the trash” or some variation of rude comments. I will not come back here ever again and I will tell all of my friends never to book this hotel ever again for my entire life
