Guest Reviews
- Kayona (1/5): Not pleased - Location The work that was being done made it very inconvenient
- robotleg (1/5): -
- Krystal (10/5): -
- Amy (5/5): Needed to stop for the night, price was right and safe - Location AC was super loud and annoying
- Helen (10/5): Enjoyed the stay and will be back if we are in the area - I loved the location and everything was nice and Ms. Mona was so nice and friendly as well as the other staff members Only complaint was the shower was not clean but we survived because we always travel with disinfectant sprays and wipes
- John (1/5): Disgusting 1st room nasty, second room slightly better -
- Lynda (3/5): Didn’t like it, would not stay again - Breakfast was good Hotel is old, didn’t smell good, our room was leaking from the upper room and we advised the front desk and they told us they were going to send maintenance and they never went to check it out.
- Jennifer (3/5): - Very old and needs alot of tlc. Big gap under door so you can see into the hallway. Would not recommend this to anyone.
- Jamie (8/5): - Kitchenette saves on eating out just follow rules in room Fire alarm issues
- Annie (10/5): i give an oveall rated 9 - what I like about the Hotel how the staff treated the customers with the most up respect The Room i was in was not clean fully there was stuff in the drawer behind the bed and tables it like there did not clean it completely they do not mop the floor cause i can tell when something has been clean
- Shawnkitta (5/5): -
- Noni (10/5): -
- tamara (6/5): - The air conditioner didnt work but overall we was satisfied
- Raymond (10/5): -
- Sharon (6/5): - Staff friendly - room clean - NO ICE!
- Jacqueline (8/5): Spacious Room in Meridian - Bed is too soft. TV has some concerns. Otherwise, very nice.
- Nidia (4/5): - We booked this hotel for a few days and when we got there, the front desk attendant was not friendly. When we got to the room, it had a weird smell, the bathroom was not cleaned properly, and we were just not comfortable at all. When I booked it, there was no mention of it being renovated. To make matters worse I reached out because we only stayed one night even though we booked 3 nights and was denied a refund.
- katez3 (2/5): Dump - This place is a dump. Room was not clean. There was hair in the bathtub and along the shower walls. One lamp was falling over and another didn't work. TV and outlets didn't work. Freezer did not get cold enough to keep what I was traveling with frozen and all the ice machines in the building were broken. Do not recommend.
- David (2/5): - As soon as we opened the sofa bed there were hundreds of bugs and trash. Hotel smelled gross common areas gross
- Jammie (10/5): Awesome Hotel - Wonderful experience! Will be staying again on our next trip!
- lori (6/5): - The property was conveniently located near Bonita Lakes and my relatives house. However, it was a little tricky to get to. It could use some updating and more of a variety of breakfast options. We stayed three nights and the food was the same everyday.
- Tina (10/5): Exceptional - I love that it's a affordable and very quiet..A good place for just some me time Everything was ok
- Phillip (10/5): Excellent place to stay - Great place to stay for work, spacious, clean, comfortable bed, friendly staff
- Myrom (8/5): - Very good location at good price.
- Katiria (2/5): - It was alright
- Dave (6/5): - OK for a 1 night stay. Being a "suite" with a full kitchen its funny they only supply enough utensils for a one person meal. This is a budget hotel and you can tell where they cut the costs. That said the breakfast is good and its fine if you are just looking for a one night stay with a full kitchen.
- Kimberly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ed (5/5): Passable - Staff were friendly. Toilet was wobbly, no hot water in bathroom sink, broken items (TV remote, cabinet drawer, ac control panel lid)
- Reuben (5/5): We saw poor reviews but gave it a chance and would not stay there again. - conveniently located and they made a great breakfast in high need of a remodel. bathroom rather shower in bad shape. floor was sticky all over. one glass and one set of silverware was the limit of kitchen supplies
- Robert (6/5): - The AC unit appears to not be working . I set it to 66 and it was still very warm in the room
- Carrie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tara (10/5): - Excellent check in. Not sure if it was the manager but she was amazing.
- Jenevieve (8/5): Good spot to stay the night - Really kind and helpful staff. Room seemed clean and well appointed, very spacious. Overall the hotel seemed to be in good condition. We felt comfortable there and the breakfast was pretty decent.
- Mireille (1/5): Very disappointing - Bugs in the room. We were given another room that had a large mold stain on the ceiling and the coffee machine was sticky and gross. The toilet paper roll was stained with some blue liquid. General cleanliness issues. Noisy. Very basic breakfast. Definitely not worth the price.
- Kenton (4/5): - Was very noisy … there was a football team staying on my floor, loud all night running up and down the halls.. called service desk numerous times and no one answered !!!!… Didn’t get a wink of sleep !!..Very disappointed !
- Jennifer (8/5): Good for overnight stay - The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and the employees courteous. Liked having a full size fridge with a freezer. Breakfast was good and had a variety of offerings. Our had a few issues in the room. No way to turn off the red blinking light in the phone even though the receptionist cleared the messages. We just covered it with a folded wash cloth. The door to the restroom had a chunk missing from it. The a/c- heating unit made a high pitched squeal every time the fan stopped running. Earplugs required!
- Lisa (7/5): Good - The room was very nice. Comfortable bed. When I got there and was giving a room somebody was still in it. Cause he wanted to stay another night but they where already book up. Luckily workers where checking out early. But rooms weren't clean. But finally got a room.
- Linda (3/5): Room comfortable. Hopefully will be better after renovation - Slept well Under renovation , ice machine did not work, breakfast items scarce said their truck didn’t come in. Tv did not work properly, screen was fading out. White splotches all over it. Paint on the carpet in hallway . Microwave in dining area broke.
- karenm397 (2/5): Hazardous to your health - Stay away from this place. Very Dirty, Hazardous to your health. Bath area dirty, kitchenette area dirty, dirty soiled pots in dish washer and in cabinet, grease on cook top. Crumbs everywhere on all seating furniture. There were 5 light bulbs out in bathroom area. AC unit leaked coolant, had to turn it off, it was making me sick.
- Reynaldo (5/5): Passable -
- Turner (9/5): Superb -
- Carl (2/5): Place need to be renovated badly - The carpet was dirty and room wasn’t serviced every day. Location
- Debbie (8/5): Wonderful night rest but probably would not stay again. - Easy check-in and spacious suites. Needs updating/remodeling. Stains in the carpet. Out of date bathroom.
- Amanda (2/5): - The floors and room were so worn it was ridiculous. The carpet is black and the walls have patches on them where holes were. It was just terrible. Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else. The worst part is that this room cost me $119.00 plus tax. The breakfast was no good also. We arrived downstairs to eat at 7:45 and there was hardly any food. The only good was the coffee and the air conditioner in the room.
- Becky (2/5): - I really hate to leave a bad review but we had 2 rooms and when we got there and got our rooms our room first off smelled bad the stovetop was missing on 1 corner mold outside the refrigerator door the carpet was ripped and stained along with the couch bathrooms was missing tiles and was stained up too then when we was sitting on the bed there was bug crawling around that looked like alot like bedbugs we got up then and lefted i did manage to push the bug in the cup and took it to the front desk and showed her what we had found and we was leaving the front desk lady was like oh im sorry we told her we was wanting a refund and a receipt and she said she couldnt give us one so we had ask who we could talk to she gave us a name and we found a card with her number told us not to call her until Monday !! Also we did not throw any fit stuff happens but i will never book with this property again
- Terry (1/5): This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I am never going to stay in that hotel again. - I did not like anything about the hotel. Everything including the food was unacceptable Everything. The room was very dirty. The furniture had stains and trash all over the floors. There were holes in the wall from a broken towel rack. And the microwave was nasty. Food was stuck all over the walls and the hood of the microwave. In front of the toilet, it appeared it might have had fetus on the bottom. Plus the staff was not professional. In fact, I checked out a day earlier because the room was too dirty. There are only soo much to overlook. The hotels in Meridian were booked up to its capacity that weekend so there was no other hotel I could stay. So I checked out and went home.
- Natilda (1/5): Bad - The manager Shannon is the absolute worst
- Natilda (1/5): Bad - The manager Shannon was the absolute worst. When asking her was the services provided were gonna be the same as she and her staff’s attitude she hung the phone up during the call
- Brian (2/5): - Not clean at all, carpet was filthy.
- Natalie (4/5): - The people working there were very nice but the room wasn’t. It was in desperate need of renovation. The carpet was very stained, the bathroom was dirty and the shower had bits of Sheetrock pieces and dust in it. I’m not sure if it was from the ceiling falling or a repair that they never cleaned up after.
- Meredith (6/5): Deferred Maintenance - This hotel has not been maintained. Staff was less than friendly on check-in, room was in poor condition, with stained and ripped carpet, dirty shower, and filthy curtains. I’m glad I’m up to date on my tetanus vaccine, since I stepped on an exposed carpet tack. The beds were at least clean and fairly comfortable.
- Jasmin (10/5): Exceptional - My stay was exceptional
- Tinika (6/5): - Nice property for the price and convenient,
- Kathleen (7/5): Good - The staff was very nice and accommodating. The room was clean except for lots of mold in the shower
- Amanda (8/5): Very good -
- Janice (2/5): Did not like it - Did not like it at all Nothing
- LaWanda (2/5): - The whole room was dirty. No tissue in the bathroom, beer left in the refrigerator, just disgusting. I will never stay at this property again.
- Karla (4/5): - There was a hole in the wall and in the carpet. Three of the lights didn’t work, including one in the shower. The bathroom faucet barely worked. Breakfast included cold eggs, and they were out of milk
- Sammie (4/5): - My family and I booked several rooms for a get together/graduation in the area. Some family made it there before us to check-in and found the room filthy. Stains were on the sheets/bedding, bathroom looked as if it hadn’t been touched and upon us arriving found that our room had rips and tears in the carpet and massive stains on floors as well.
The front desk (unknown woman) at the time was very abrasive and impossible to deal with. We weren’t offered a different room and made to feel that asking someone to come clean was an inconvenience to them. We weren’t compensated in any way either. It was too much to pull the entire family and luggage to a surrounding hotel, so we just grabbed some things to sanitize and clean, requested new bedding and pushed through it. I would not recommend, the photos are not a depiction of the rooms we stayed in.
- Kimberly (8/5): Very good - The staff was very nice. I loved the location. The room was very spacious. The bathroom could've been a little cleaner. It wasn't terrible or anything. The toilet paper holder was missing and the bathroom door had something all over it.
- Contrice (8/5): - Staff is awesome
- Daniel (8/5): Meridian - The stay was just an overnight stop. The room was quiet. The faucet on the lavatory had a very low flow. I reported it to the front desk.
- Jian (10/5): - good for stopping
- Tmary (8/5): Could have been better had the room been cleaned properly - Beds were comfortable Shower had Mold in it. Someone had used the bathroom and didn’t flush. Couch had stains on it
- Fauzan (2/5): - Absolutely terrible. There is nothing good about this hotel I don't know how they have these ratings. The only good thing was the staff who were polite and courteous but there's only so much staff can do to better experience in a beat down hotel. Everything from furniture to carpet to walls to doors is in terribly worn out condition. Avoid if you can.
- Rosa (6/5): - Our one night stay was uneventful, which is a good thing. The place looks very rundown. Horrible carpet, broken cabinets, clogged sink, shower had small stream, and no lights in the kitchenette. The towels were a bit better than sandpaper and the bed was perfect.
- Totsseta (2/5): For this facility to not be that old it is very poor quality, dirty and the lights didn't work prope - The lights didn't work, bathroom was dirty, and toilet had a ring.
- Brenda (6/5): Not happy... - We thought the room looked clean. When we started to shower...NO linen ...the front desk was appalled as well when we found the cabinet full of dirty linen...he wa s sso apologetic...We found a microwave with half eaten chicken as we were leaving. I wanted to heat my coffee...
- Linda (9/5): We liked the location and felt this hotel was very nice choice for our trip. - Breakfast was good. Enough variety for my husband and I. Our bed was very comfortable. Liked the kitchen in the suite. We drove past the hotel (even using GPS) as I only saw the sleep Inn sign. Need a sign on the road.
- Terry (10/5): - Good property great condition
- Kimoshia (10/5): - It was a good stay
- Jim (8/5): Good - Very comfortable bed. Good breakfast Well used but not dirty
- Chris (2/5): - This place is a real dump, room had rips in the carpet, duck tape holding up the counter top, people hanging around outside not guests, just really a bizarre situation.
- Joe (4/5): Shocking discovery - The room had carpet stains, the 3 light fixture in bathroom only had one bulb working. The tub had no safey features except a hand rail .
They worst part was when i opened a drawer on the chest and found a large
Strap On!! I sure the housekeepers only changed the sheets and left .
I have photos.
- Jill (10/5): - I like having the refrigerator and mini kitchen. It was very quiet even though it was very close to the interstate. The bathroom and kitchen could be cleaner...the floors were sticky. I did not go barefoot at all in the room. The bed was comfortable.
- Larkin (6/5): Pleasant -
- ALAN (2/5): Extremely Disappointed - My room at Mainstay Suites in Meridian was terrible, so much so, that I had to go complain to the front desk. The walls had big holes in it.The carpet was ripped. Some of the cabinets were broken. The furniture was dingy with small stains. The bathtub wouldn't drain. There wasn't even a soap dish fixture in the shower. The room smelled of funk, cigarette smoke and stuffy. When I complained of the condition of the room, the guy at the front desk assigned me another room, but that room also had ripped carpet and a 'stuffy' smell, but at least the tub drained. I would have to say that this hotel room has to be one of the worst rooms I've had at any hotel so far.I didn't think to take pictures of the room because I really expected more of MainStay Suites, but they really dropped the ball on this one.
- Meshelle (1/5): Roaches in room. Cold shower. Room not clean down to door handle and remote - Location and price Property and room was filthy! Killed momma roach and baby roach appeared the next morning. Stained couch, towels, and linen. Room had strong odor.
- Leo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lafrancine (6/5): It served it purpose. - location-based The toilet set was falling off the toilet. Better quality products (toilet seats) would be cheaper in the long run.
- Henry (8/5): - Clean room but had a dirty coffee pot someone left the pod in the filter
- Janna (6/5): Meh - The atmosphere was good, family friendly. Staff was efficient and helpful. The cleanliness and maintenance of the room were lacking. Sheets and linens were clean, floors were clean but pretty worn. The dust guards on the beds were disgusting. And there was a fair amount of damage to the room. The granite countertop was broken in the kitchen and there was water damage to the ceiling in the bathroom. It was a decent stay but I’ll probably find somewhere else next time.
- Linda (5/5): Won’t stay there again for sure - Bed was comfortable Found open box of condoms in the drawer. Many Stains on rug. Couch was dirty. Felt like the room hadn’t been cleaned well. Breakfast wasn’t great
- EVON (4/5): - The property location is great, and the staff was polite.
This property is in need of renovation and hiring more well-paid staff. In the meantime, the property interior needs a serious cleaning from top to bottom (stain carpets, floors, furniture drapery. Unclean cabinets and kitchen and bath.
light fixtures not working.
- Patricia (2/5): - Was not able to stay there. The bathroom floor was dirty as was the couch in the bedroom. The carpet was filthy in the hall and in the room. We asked for another room but was told that they had refunded our stay. So we left. Worst experience with a hotel.
- CINDY (4/5): - When we arrived they put us in a room on the 3rd floor, when we got to our room the beds were stripped down to the mattress and covers were laying everywhere, obviously not cleaned and also the room had double beds when we booked a king room. Went back down to the front desk and they put us in another room and when I said something about the double beds he said that’s all the rooms they had. How did I reserve and pay and book a king room if they’re weren’t any available. Me and my husband crammed in a double bed, we did not sleep good at all. Probably would have got better sleep in my car and saved $100. When we got in the other room the ceiling and paint was peeling in the bathroom and didn’t feel clean. Glad we only stayed one night. Would not stay here again. I will say the staff was friendly and the breakfast was pretty good.
- Kanisha (6/5): - No complaints
- Leslie (5/5): Passable - Price and size of the room Staff wasn't very friendly. Had to find someone to check us in when we arrived@ 8:00 p.m. , not very late with 2 rooms we booked. When gave keys and arrived to room they both had open doors and one of the room wasn't even cleaned and sheets where piled on the beds. We we ask for another room. He said sometime it gets overlooked. Ask about the doors being open, he also said it can get over looked to. He didn't seem concerned about any of it. The floor where dirty and the carpet and furniture was dirty and stained.
- Kimberly (8/5): The location and stay was good. - It was great The carpet was severely soiled. There was no extra blankets in the room.
- Quemeca (10/5): It was lovely and enjoyable... we had a good stay - Breakfast was fine but they ran out of waffle mix before 9 and the hotel worker didn't want to refill the mix... there were 10 or more guests in line waiting for waffles... nothing should have been completely out... it should have been restocked as needed for guests to have a good breakfast .. we waited 15 minutes for more waffle mix Lazy workers not wanting to accommodate guests for breakfast... I had to make a comment and complaint for the worker to take action and get more waffle mix
- Katina (2/5): Rude front desk manager and terrible room! - 1st off the front desk manager was extremely rude. She spoke to me as if I was a child and had no understanding to her voice. Secondly my room was terrible. Key cover was missing on main door. That was a huge security issue, next the bathroom door was damaged and clearly needed to be replaced. The bathroom is missing light bulbs also. I complained about all of this and she blamed it on maintenance and there wasn’t anymore rooms available. She was quick to offer a refund because she didn’t want to help me anyways.
- Brian (1/5): This hotel is absolutely unsafe, unsanitary and needs to be shut down. - This is the worst hotel I have every experienced. There is absolutely nothing to like about this hotel and it needs to be condemned. This is truly one of the worst hotels I have ever experienced. It did not feel safe. The rooms had a bad odor, the carpet was frayed, torn, and very stained. The bedding was stained - stains on the comforter And on the sheets! And these were not simply dirt stains - it was more like bodily fluids. We were afraid to sleep in the bed and afraid we would get bed bugs. We went to the front desk to request another room and the second room was not any better. We were absolutely shocked at the condition of this hotel. Even the lobby area had very old, dirty, outdated worn out furniture , frayed and torn carpet, and huge nasty stains on the carpet all the way down the hallways. This hotel truly needs to be shut down. We asked for a cancellation and full refund. They complied and did not seem surprised at all.
- Beal (6/5): The hotel could use a renovation. - Did not get your breakfast. Had a problem with the refrigerator (leaking water), it’s replacement was dirty and no one showed up to clean it.
- Dorothy (8/5): Very good -
- Dorothy (9/5): Superb -
- Billy (8/5): Very good -
- Anne (7/5): Good -
- Verdell (5/5): The hotel needs some remodeling done. - The breakfast was nice The hallway carpet was worn and dirty
- Amy (6/5): - An OK place to stay. You can tell the property is older. There was mildew around the shower/tub, carpet stains, and everything needs new paint, but we felt safe and it was ok for a night or two.
- Sprague (6/5): Pleasant - The floor was so sticky, I had to clean it and the white hand towel was black after I was done.
