- Francis (2/5): - This place was not a 4 star!!!!. As soon as you walk in the smell of mould was overwhelming. Mould on the wall where the children had to sleep. Missing step on the bunkbed with a sharp metal sticking out. Heavily stained curtains. stained walls. broken fold away bed. damp and mould in the bathroom. broken shower head. Dirty carpet.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Avoid if looking for a family hotel - More like a hostel than a hotel, no homely touches, nobody ever at reception. Damp smell throughout. Shower was blocked, bed uncomfortable, no housekeeping and poor breakfast. Only positive is the location
- Muhammed (4/5): - I'm really surprised that this hotel is rated as 4*. Never expected as I found it on arrival. Absolutely basic level of service with limited choice & low quality breakfast. Windows seemed falling off - some couldn't be closed. Had to chase for toilet tissues and cleaning while staying with small kids. I won't give it a 2* - total waste of money and very disappointing stay.
- Kevin (6/5): Stick with me, it’s a lengthy review - Upon first glimpse of the hotel I honestly thought about turning round and heading somewhere else. My wife got out the car to check us in. The door was locked(8pm) so she rang the Ring Doorbell, no answer. I rang the phone number no answer. My wife then tried the bell again at this point a lady came walking over the road from a sister hotel(I believe, could be wrong). She began checking us in and explained about the parking at £5 per night(no problem with this) She was helpful and polite. We got the key and headed to the room. It was pretty clear this hotel was old and needed serious investment. We got to the room and I must admit I was relieved as the room was clean as were the beds. Yes the room needs an upgrade but at least it was clean. I didn’t need to find somewhere else to stay. For £270 for the two nights, I did expect better than what we got. Decided not to eat Breakfast(which was an extra charge) in the hotel due to the overall cleanliness. We walked round the corner to a B&B the rest of our family stayed in and ate with them. On check out we had to wait for around ten mins for the same lady to come running over the street again. By this time there were 3 or 4 other rooms trying to check out, a few of these people were making complaints. Overall it’s a pretty poor hotel for the money we paid, would have been better paying for two rooms in the same hotel as the rest of the family (£70 per night including breakfast)
- Damien (6/5): - This property did the job. The location was perfect for all the Blackpool attractions and the price was cheap enough (£120 family of 4 for a night) but the rooms are super basic. The decor needs updating, and the place a decent clean. The windows are very dirty especially from our room on the second floor. The worst thing about this place was the aroma inside- which can only be described as pungent dampness wherever you are the hotel. Don't forget if you do book that it's £5 on arrival for parking and it's tight to get round the back an SUV or similar would struggle. In all in it done the job but the smell was.the most odd putting experience about our stay hence the 2/5 star.
- Kyle (6/5): - Overall a good place to sleep - curtains not very thick and walls really thin meaning we were up until 2:30 whilst our neighbours were arguing. Staff seem friendly enough
- Francis (2/5): - I booked this hotel on behalf of a visiting couple, they left after a short time of entering their room due to a dirty sink / shower & nasty smell in the room (room 7) they complained and were told that the hotel was full ( a fact denied by the hotel) and no alternative was available , after speaking to the manager she said an alternative was offered them,( this allows them to refuse a refund with Hotels.com) please look at the 10 rating (as only 2 reviews) and make further inquiries before booking.

- Miss Beverley (6/5): - The rooms are very basic some sockets on our room never worked..The first floor is not on the ground floor its two flights of stairs.Walking up and down the stairs every day was very stressful and painful with our health conditions.Was not told if they had a lift..The flats next door are very noisy at night with dog barking. The breakfast is very limited no fruits or pastries offered..The cooked breakfasts is basic no mushrooms or tomato for vegans or vegetarian only vegan sausages..The breakfast options for vegetarian are very limited no other options available. If options were given for vegans and vegetarians (eg )porridge muffins fruits options it would make a difference. conditions

- Susan (6/5): Ok if you like an early night. - We had to ring the door bell when we arrived and wait for someone to answer. A lady answered (didnt give her name, but im guessing she was one half of the owners) told us she had to lock the bar thats why it took her a while. This made me feel a little awkward. She then followed a guest outside and asked him to make sure the door stays closed, we was then drilled (a little) about how its for our and the other guests safety. We was shown the down stairs area, told the bar closes at 10pm!! There was also a games room opposite and the breakfast room across. We was then directed to our room which was lovely and exactly what i had booked. Could not fault it. Fast forward a few hours after a lovely meal and family time in the local arcades, we chose to return to the hotel and have a few drinks while playing pool with our 9 year old son. We have stayed in Blackpool many times and like to pick a hotel with a bar/games room so we can safely enjoy the evening with our son. As we got back the bar was already locked up. Quite disappointing, but we had a few drinks in our room so brought them down to play pool. We was not loud or unruly, and our 9 year old is very well behaved. A man arrived at the door and apologised, telling us that he had to lock the games room (did not introduce himself but he must have been the other half of the owners) and that he wanted to go to bed. I have never felt so frustrated. There was no other area for us to relaxin, so felt like we had been sent to bed.

- Debbie (4/5): Don’t stay here - There’s no staff to contact during the night. Hotel is very old and tired. Rusty radiator, taps and shower. They looked grim. But the room was clean. Maybe a little dusty. It was tiny. Pillows and bed weren’t comfy. Given no toiletries. View out the window was a brick wall. Curtain is useless, blocks out no light. Breakfast is only a 30 min window. I arrived 20 minutes into it and got told off when I asked if there was going to be more food as there was nothing there. If the breakfast is only for a short time then the food should be always available for that whole period! Corridors are narrow. Can hear people coming and going into their rooms very loudly. Walls must be thin. Can even hear the person in the room next to you putting their phone charger into the wall. Parking should be free. Found a couple of hairs in our bathroom that didn’t belong to us. The gent wasn’t very professional on the phone when I called to tell him my arrival time.

It said there was parking and we paid £10 for the privilege, but it was basically on street and we were worried about the security of our vehicle. The room was fine and breakfast was good, but the rest of it was an 'experience'.

Bathroom sink cold tap not working, hot tap can leak if not turned off correctly. Was offered room change but it was not a major issue. Shower good but 2nd floor pump needed reset during stay as pressure dropped. Good once done. Room 28

- neil (10/5): - Amazing staff, Very polite at all times. Greeted as we arrived at the property and were told where we could park the car. Good off road parking with spaces for 3 cars at a very reasonable £5 a day. Great full breakfasts with a large selection to choose from, 1st and 3rd day was help yourself, but as there were not many people booked in on the second day they asked us what we wanted for breakfast and all was freshly cooked. The only downside to our stay (and I hate to mention it as the staff are so polite and helpful) was the superior bed was two beds zipped together, but apart from that a great hotel and would definitely love to stay there again.

- Gillian (10/5): great space for a larger family - We booked for 2 adults and 3 children, and we were delighted to find the rooms in an apartment style, with 2 separate bedrooms and a private separate bathroom. Room was spacious, clean and tidy, Iron and hairdryers are available from reception. Good WIFI in the rooms. They do have a bar, however this wasn't available during our stay as they were getting maintenance done, would have been nice to have received a message regarding this before hand though. There is a games room, however nothing is working, and there is no tips for the pool cues to play a game, no iPads in there holders either. Again there was no mention of any of this beforehand. There is a lot of potential for the facilities, shame they don't make the most of what the have. Receptionist was very miserable and very rude as stayed chatting on her mobile while I was checking out. Not very professional. Surely she should have been asking how our stay was etc? All in all due to how spacious it was for our size of family, We would look to book here in the future, By then hopefully the receptionist has cheered up a bit and all the facilities will be up and running.

- elaine (10/5): overnight - rooms where very clean, we stayed in the smaller double was perfectly fine for an over night, breakfast was between 9 and 9.30 am buffet breakfast with plenty to choose from. parking is available at £5 per night which is a great price for blackpool, location was excellent just a two minute walk to the front. for the price we paid for this hotel i would certainly book again

- gemma (4/5): - The hotel itself could do with a few updates , was basic and what we needed for the night although quite old fashioned. Bed was not too comfortable and did not get the room I originally paid for, nor did I get informed that I was to pay more money on arrival for a deposit which I did get back but never once did I get told so if I had arrived with no cash on me I wouldn’t of been able to stay even though I paid online! Also checking in took a while and the overall we come was not as expected. Checking out took a long while as no staff were around. Will not be be staying again.

Parking was charged at £5 per night but I was charged £10 as we got there early .the location was brilliant also as about half way between the tower and pleasure beach

- Suzanne (6/5): - The pictures on the website are misleading, the room was very small, however it was clean. No reception staff to be seen, on arrival a nice guy came from over the road to enter and he was helpful but advised the bar was not available as short staffed. Breakfast was available 8.15 -9am. Very disappointed as the website advised freshly baked croissants and bread which is not true I think they were from Aldi. The lady who was filling the hot plates was ignorant and came across as though she didn’t want to be there.
- Lynn (4/5): - The property is run down and tired. Staff are friendly and helpful. The bar was closed on Friday and there is no where to sit with friends - no lounge area. Our friends paid £65 extra for a disabled room with designated parking. We moved the car on Saturday, came back and someone had taken the space (a white Mercedes’ 21 plate). No one was on reception to help. This car stayed in our space and did not move. Our friends LEFT. They paid for two nights and left after one. I feel they should be reimbursed for the extra they paid for the designated car space which was taken and for having to leave after one night. There was no one on reception to speak to. Our car was parked round the side and we got blocked in. The tv in our friends room did not work and there was no one on reception. They were also cold as the radiator in their room wasn’t on, however they were given another heater straight away. There is no lounge area to sit with friends and the bar area was locked on Friday night. The hotel has absolutely no atmosphere. No Christmas decorations - not a happy place. When we arrived the hotel sign had fallen off and was lying on the pavement. The hotel does not deserve the three star rating. It is in need of massive refurbishment and updating. It’s a miserable place and I’d never stay there again.

No one on reception, just had to call someone to come. Rooms where comfy enough. Fine for a one night stay with reasonable breakfast, though get there before everything goes as no one there to replenish anything.

Shower wouldn’t drain away so bathroom flooded. Bar late opening (not much of one anyway). Breakfast although late opening was quite nice but some mushrooms would of been nice. Nobody available for check out to advise of the problems.

But this hotel is not four star , I know we're just out of lockdown and people are getting back on there feet . The price was not reflecting the room standard that was shown on the pictures when I booked . Breakfast was lovely .

- Lesley (2/5): - The owners were ever so rude & the breakfast was tea & coffee facilities in the room only sachets of instant coffee & a leaking kettle & the breakfast was a dry bap in a paper bag left at the front door on the carpet no plates were provided! This was also asked on arrival before you even got a key to your room to order and you never got to chose each day of your stay. This was your option this bap or a dry croissant. No fresh water or juices offered & no social distance good morning no fluids even offered for our 2 kids and we were told it would arrive at our room door between 9am-10am. Also no coat hooks available or places to hang wet towels,robes coats etc and this was meant to accommodate 4 of us so these things were essential! One curtain on each window when 2 was clearly needed. The shower never worked it trickled out water then scalded you I couldnt put my kids in it all wknd and when I complained to the owners the cheek we received while they sat drinking both nights with friends was unbearable as they implied we had an attitude since we arrived! We were told we couldn’t bring in food however they offered no food. Bar prices were a scandal, we were charged a different price each time & given wrong change by both owners and no fraught beer. The car park is across the road which wasn’t at all ideal with young kids & bad weather. I’m never one to leave a revue but I really have to this time because it was absolutely awful & ruined our well earned holiday experience!

There was a shelf missing from the bathroom and the bedroom wall had some wallpaper missing and holes that should have been covered up. There was no 'sit down' breakfast but we had breakfast rolls brought to our rooms. The hot water took about 10 minutes to come through and we couldn't get the TV in the kids room to work. Overall our stay was ok but would have expected more for the price

- Sarah (10/5): Great hotel - Wonderful friendly staff. Room clean, fresh and comfortable. Great location for the pleasure beach and Blackpool's other attractions. Free parking is really handy. Would definitely stay here again.

- Paul (8/5): Hotel in winter time - Great room, lovely comfortable bed, super breakfast the only down side was the room was cold, didn't want to get out of bed. The room looked just as in their photos.

However, room was not clean, staff were rude, facilities often closed, beds not made on daily basis and room had several faults-lights didn't work, bathroom door wouldn't close, towel rail hanging from wall...do i need to go on?

- Verified traveler (2/5): - Coffee machine broke / no bar open / no hot water in rooms I booked / and can’t supply breakfast for about 8 people in total this hotel was a disgrace for my mum wife and daughter to stay in it seems one person is trying to do 5 people’s work plus no washing stuff in bathrooms this place should be shut down
- Elliot (4/5): Not for me Thank You - Not for me.The picture are a bit misleading in my opinion.The reality was my shower had a leak so water just run down the hose and onto the floor.It wouldn't drain quick enough so soon standing in 2 inches of water.The shaving lamp above mirror didn't work.paid for breakfast but was told that it wasn't included.After proving it on my booking was reluctantly told 9-9.30. Far to late for the average working man who needs to leave.So many other hotels in the area for half the price,don't be fooled.
