I highly recommend this little gem. - The property was a retro motel with lots of charm and character. The rooms are a bit tiny, but they were so clean and the staff was so nice, it didn’t affect our stay at all. Beds were very comfortable. Would stay here again! Absolutely nothing… The place was wonderful

• Jana (7/5): Overall good and clean - The room and bathroom were clean, including the towels. Breakfast was okay and had the usual options like toast, bagels, waffles, cereals and coffee. Overall a good experience. Would go again. The room had a slight smell, and the front desk staff could have been friendlier. I ended up booking through Booking.com because they would not match the same price. The staff member also insisted that it was impossible for the Booking.com price to already include all taxes and fees, even though it clearly did. It was also not possible to see a room or request a specific room within the same category.

• Janice (8/5): - Location, price were very good. Easy to move luggage into the room. Breakfast wasn't served until 7:30 and it was continental so we were gone by then. Right across the street from The Garden of The Gods. No breakfast until 7:30. Room was small but I think this motel was built before hotels started putting king size beds and rooms. It was still comfortable.

• ANDREW (7/5): Older property. Great location and view, especially for the price. - Great location in Manitou Springs. Beautiful view and minutes away from Garden of the Gods. Easy to get to Colorado Springs for work events. It’s an older property, but kept clean. Neighbor was smoking marijuana.

I go to manitou springs a couple times a year, but better ser - I always wanted to stay there over the years… looked good from the street. Nice view of the mountain Breakfast was offered on the website but when we got there…there was no breakfast. Totally inconvenient. Had to go buy things to heat up in the microwave for three days. Then the housekeeper called in sick - so no one picked up the trash for two days. We were making breakfast in the room - so had generated a bit of trash, otherwise it might not have been such a big deal on the trash removal - I understand being sick but someone else should have come and taken care of it. They weren’t busy. My car and one other were the only cars in the lot most of the time. Sometimes two other cars. I had to get ask for towels and toilet paper and then carried them back to the room. Some of the towels were dirty and stained. Toilet stool leaked, but maintenance did come and repair it. Walls paper thin, we could hear people talking next door. Customer service was lacking. Had it been me, I would have at least offered to get a bag of bagels or something from the store to make up for the inconsistency in what was advertised and what was actually presented. He just said guess we didn’t update the website. I’ve never written a bad review before, hopefully it will help them in the future. Update website, when someone calls in sick, the rooms still need to be attended, Check and make sure towels aren’t dirty and stained. The elderly gentleman was very nice.

• Amber (10/5): - The location was prime since we were going to exore Garden of the Gods! We had our dog with us so it was really nice and affordable for him to be allowed to stay. We had probably the nicest room with the jetted tub. It was a very clean room and didn't have any pet smells. We really really enjoyed our stay at the Silver Saddle and we will be back!! We go to Manitou at least twice a year, so we will definely reserve at the Silver Saddle through Booking.com. Thank you for everything!! There isn't much that we didn't like. Maybe making the pet area a little bigger.

• John (7/5): Helpful staff and clean, but basic accomodations - Staff was helpful and friendly. Hotel is older, but well maintained and tidy. Breakfast options are typical, i.e., bagels, limited cereal, and pastries, etc. Sufficient, but that's all. Location is a couple of miles from historic downtown Manitou, so somewhat incovenient. Rooms are basic, but clean and acceptable. Thin walls as is typical for this type of hotel, so did hear the next door guests arguing and talking way too loudly until 2am or so.

• Susan (9/5): Nice Stay in Manitou - Great location- Garden of the Gods could be seen from our room. Short drive to the main cute town. Short drive to Pikes Peak as well. Breakfast was decent, nothing fancy-mostly continental. We travel with our dog and there isn't much grass nearby the hotel for bathroom breaks. There is a park across the busy main street but that was not convenient. There is a patch behind a dumpster by the Sinclair station next door but that was mostly undesirable as well.

You can tell the owner and the staff take pride in their work and put a lot of effort into what they do. Nothing that wasnt already fixed by the staff on our way out.

• Tyler (8/5): Pretty good, could easily be better - Nice, affordable motel. Easy check-in, easy parking. Pretty standard basic room. Clean, safe room. It’s a good place for a brief overnight when I’m solo. A couple of negatives that may be issues for some: the air conditioner is loud. Like, “jars you awake when it comes on” kind of loud. Obnoxiously loud so you can’t have a phone conversation when it’s on. I finally just turned it off and left it off. Also, massive gap under the door (which opens to the outside). Big enough to get my hand under. Some gnats in the room as a result. A rolled-up towel blocked it off (mostly). Maybe it was just that room. I’d still stay here again for that price, maybe not with a friend though.

Of the 5 hotels we stayed in, I would say this one was the most uncomfortable check in due to the employee's (lack of) personality.
