Guest Reviews

- Francisco Julian (9/5): Excelete precio-calidad.

- Isaac (10/5): - Upon arrival. Reception was super friendly and hotel was very good. I will definitely book again when I return
- Giandomenico (10/5): - Tutto! Le stanze stupende, il personale gentilissimo. Nulla, tutto perfetto
- Sandra (10/5): Great place to stay in Rome - Great location and staff. Fellows at front desk were very helpful with restaurants and directions. Very close to train terminal.
Delicious breakfast on the rooftop with views of the city Only issue was hours after we left and were near Sorrento, realized a person in our party lost her ID and credit cards. Called hotel to see if they were left in room 406. Woman would not check and said to email them to see if it was in lost and found. Due to urgency, I felt this was very rude and unprofessional. Did send email through booking.com over 20 hrs ago and no response.
- Addobbo art (9/5): - The hotel is different from the suites. I didn't know this. I had arrived to a number (40) but that wasn't the entrance. The entrance was 50 meters away. It was confusing. I am too old to arrive at a stated hotel address that isn't exactly at the check in location. . My original room had no water pressure for two days (I arrived in the evening and only had time to brush my teeth and exit) hardly any water. The next morning I had a 1pm meeting and when I rose at 11am to take a shower there was still no water. The hotel was aware of this problem but we're not proactive. They didn't bother to try and change my room until I complained.
- Monica (9/5): Would recommend. Will be staying there next time - It was very close to train station Nothing
- Lori (10/5): Exceptional - Great amenities, very clean, welcome drinks provided on the rooftop patio!
- Sue (10/5): Great location handy to all transport and places to see. . - It was very neat and clean and freshly painted. The bed was very comfortable and room changed every day with 2 free bottles of water. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. The room was a bit smaller than expected.
- Ruowen (9/5): Superb -
- Rie (8/5): Good location for transport - Location just a minutes away from main railway, metro and bus stop. Welcome drink at the hotel rooftop bar was nice, room serviced everyday and spotless. We could also leave our luggage at the hotel after checkout, as our flight was in the evening. It would have been 10/10, if it was not for one morning when we did not have hot water so could not shower. Problem reported around 7am (after running cold shower for 20 minutes). The reception said they will send someone, but there will be no technician until 8am, so problem could not be solved before we had to leave for our booked slots in Vatican (and no one came at all).
It was 26-28c during the day in Rome during our stay, so the shower not working was frustrating.
The hot water/shower was fixed when we returned in the evening- but there was no apologies for the inconvenience, at all.
- Shanon (2/5): Very poor - Wow we were not even in the hotel we were down the street from the hotel. The only staff working and doing an excellent job were the cleaning staff and cooking staff. The management staff knew nothing about quality. It was " what do you want" rudely spoken
The management staff didn't even hook up the phone in the room. The hot water went out one day. But they didn't call anyone to fix it and the technician came in at 8 30 . Well im on vacation and rome is hote i wanted to take a showrr when i get up and go. It also leads me to belive someone did that intentionally because it only took a few minutes to fix it or turn it on. The next it was the water pressure. It was loud outside where the main hotel was quiet and well taken care of. Again somebody messed with it. They also made us bring the key back to the hotel down the street every time we left
They said "we dont want you to lose it." Well I had no intention of losing the key. Complete jerks with bad attitudes. Don't stay here, dont waste your time. Stay at the Weston
,they know how to treat guests.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mariym (8/5): - Really close to Termini station and in a walkable location. The room was nicely renovated. Only thing to consider is that this hotel is an extension of Independent Hotel and it’s in a separate residential building where they have several units. To get anything you have to visit the main building which is a 1 min walk. Felt like an Airbnb rather than a hotel. Also didn’t enjoy having to check the front door key in and out at reception.
- Amanda (6/5): - Convenient to transport but very overpriced for basic accommodation $400pn. Bashir was very helpful.
- Keith (8/5): Would highly recommend this hotel to travelers - Located close to the bus stop and train station for easy access. Walking distance from all activities and sights with restaurants all around. Some nose during the night/ early mornings, however this was limited to check in and check outs.
- Ismail (1/5): Azman behaved in a deeply demeaning manner toward me and my family. I would not recommend this hotel. - The facility was situated in central Rome, providing easy access to numerous sights on foot. The male receptionist (Azman) was particularly rude, unhelpful, and aggressive. In contrast, Giovanni, another staff member at the front desk, was very courteous and friendly.
- Siddhartha (6/5): - They moved us to a sister property as elevator was broken. It was highly unprofessional of them to not inform us ahead of time of broken elevator. One of us was travelling with a sprained ankle, and could not take steps. This is a managment problem and not a staff problem.
- Delita (10/5): Exceptional -
- Abdulftah (1/5): Bad - One the worst experiences in my life .and don’t know how it got this ranking .
- Syed (7/5): Good -
- Mansur (8/5): The upgrade made us feel better! - - The staff at the restaurant, especially Michelly and Virginia were great. They made us feel like home. They treated us with kindness and with great courtesy. It was such a pleasure for us to see them every morning and see how they interacted with us and our daughter.
- The upgrade from the room in the next apartment to the Hotel itself was an amazing change. The room was comfortable and warm. Thanks to the staff and hotel management for this.
- The location was pretty good.
- The bed was super comfortable.
- The breakfast selection was great.
- The offers in the room was amazing. - These comments are for the main Hotel.
- The daily cleaning of the room could have been better. Does making up the room mean just making the bed, changing the towels and updating the daily water quota, then it was adequate but if it means cleaning up the room then it was inadequate.
- The suites were pretty bad. The rooms were nice but the building itself is pretty old.
- We suffered a lot due to the broken down elevator.
- The concierge had to walk up and down to assist us with the horrible elevator.
- The first night, I had to carry the stroller up and down because it didn't fit in the elevator.
The suite's main door was too small and I had to pack up the stroller and unpack it. Imagine doing this when your baby is asleep
- There is no breakfast option if you are staying in the suites. .
- Wing Lam (8/5): - Convenient & walkable to attractions. Staff are polite.
- John (10/5): - Friendly staff, clean environment
- Margaret (10/5): - The rooftop bar was the best!
- Kingkan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wai Hung Paul (10/5): - Clean property, friendly staff.
- Giuseppe (8/5): Excellent choice - Very confortable hotel. Very close to train stations and tour buses.
- limp170 (10/5): - The hotel was amazing and the best location ever!
- Tracey (9/5): Very enjoyable - Location is perfect, right next to the train station. Cleaner makes a-lot of noise from early morning
- Aaron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hiu (5/5): I won’t choose this hotel if I go to Rome again - Close to train station Too dark, too old, hair dryer is broken, shower area is too small.
- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional - The main building was beautiful and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was cozy, comfortable, and clean. It was a great experience and conveniently located near Termini.
- Robin (5/5): Passable - Location Lack of cooperation from staff, no follow-up about the room or stay. Did not respond back to messages sent about bedding configuration and pick up from airport. Told that the items in mini bar was not complimentary only the water( confirmation email reads items free on first night of stay) charged extra for taxes not the amount showing on confirmation email
- Aghasarkissian (9/5): Superb -
- Anisoara (10/5): - Excellent hotel and very clean room. Amazing staff and perfect location. I would definitely stay again
- Ryan (8/5): - We only spent one night here prior to a morning flight out of Rome. We were placed in the 'annex' building which was a few doors down from the hotel. Overall everything was fine. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Getting to the room in the annex building requires an additional key, which they ask that you bring back to the front desk each time you leave (which would be a real pain had we been there more than one night). The bellhop who helped us with our bags was a bit impatient, but overall we had a positive stay.
- Loredana (8/5): A nice room. - Nice room. You check in at one location, about a half a block away from the hotel. any time you leave the hotel they want you to turn your key in to the check in location. Then you have to go and pick it up again when you come back. They may have more than one hotel, I don’t know. Either way, a little inconvenient.
- Paul (6/5): - The best thing about this hotel was the staff / service, who were all excellent; however, be aware of:
1. When booking, ensure the hotel put you into the Independent 'Hotel' and not the Independent 'Suites'. These are two different buildings 20 metres apart, but differ materially. The 'Hotel' is modern and sleek but the 'Suites' are stale and dated.
2. Breakfast - Be careful! If you book to include breakfast and you are placed in the Suites, they then advise you that breakfast is not available to you. You may need to argue this with reception.
3. Breakfast was very poor. Overpriced and inadequate.
4. The Suites have a heavy 'European style' door to the premises, to which reception provides a key; however, this door, straight onto the street, was often left open, allowing access to all, therefore, this was not a secure property.
5. Perhaps because of its proximity to the terminus, there were beggars on the street. Pleasant enough, but intrusive.
6. The 8th floor Terrace Bar was nice, with good views but prices were steep. Expect to pay about €25 for a bottle of beer short and mixer.
7. Good restaurants nearby. I recommend 'La Famiglia' and 'Hosteria La Stazione'.
Overall, my family and I had a pleasant stay in Rome, and as you would expect, made the most of the tourist attractions; however, staff apart, this was in spite of, rather than because of the hotel's contribution.
I would recommend shopping around for your hotel before deciding on the Independent Hotel / Suites.
- Farah (5/5): Loved the location - Staff can be more friendly - I loved the location, everything is within walking distance and lots of stores and shops around The staff were a unfriendly and cold
The room was very small
The room was inside a cluster of other rooms so zero privacy
The rooms next to mine were very noisy no sound proof so it wasn't easy to sleep
The last day the elevator was out of service I had to carry a 25+ kg bag down the stairs by myself
The breakfast is very minimal not worth adding breakfast to the package
- Elena (8/5): Very nice deal for quality vs price - The room was very clean, fresh and modern. The location is good if you don’t want to be in the center. Near the train station, small shops and walking distance to main things. The sound isolation and if other guests are not quite, so you will hear them quite well
- Paulina (9/5): Superb - it was great staying, close to historic attraction, nice apartment in the room was a bit dimed, there could be better lamp
- Andrew (7/5): Will never stay in this hotel again and we come to Rome every two years. - Good location with an exceptional restaurant (Culinaria) nearby. Staff (Gianluca) very good. The property is fine and this is the second time we have stayed there. The first time we stayed we spent a lot of money in the hotel rooftop bar. This time we didn’t because the management of this hotel should be ashamed of themselves. We should have had another couple with us but they accidentally selected the wrong month when making a non refundable booking. The hotel flatly refused to change the booking to the correct date. Booking. Com declined to intervene. A refund was not requested simply a change of date. This has resulted in my friend losing nearly €1000 as they cannot use the booking. I’m Dan sure the hotel will sell those rooms again and make maximum profit if of someone else’s misery. Have any of the managers ever made a genuine mistake?
- Haizal (7/5): Good -
- Jeong (9/5): Superb -
- Ted (4/5): - Room is too dark and their king size bed is a queen size. The room was clean and renovated. There was strange sewer smell.
- Colleen (8/5): - I liked that it was walkable distance to the termi station
- Nelly (10/5): - It is a nice and quiet place with in 20 minute walk from all the crowds. The room is clean and very modern just as I like . The staff was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our time in this suit. Must have to visit their rooftop it an amazing view especially for the breakfast or the night time life music.
- Kevin (10/5): - Property was central in Rome and easy to get around from. Staff was friendly and available to assist. Bed was comfortable and overall room was clean and met my needs.
- Andrew (9/5): City break with Termini access - High ceilinged room with classic decor. Spotlessly clean with a great bathroom. Fantastically comfortable bed and good aircon. Location was perfect due to its proximity to Roma Termini (5min). Used both the associated Cielo Terrazza and Dianas and both were very good, especially Dianas. Nothing!
- Anonymous (10/5): Top notch stay in Rome - conveniently located , great breakfast , nice rooftop , very friendly staff , updated rooms Nothing
- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional - everything thanks for a great stay. will be recommending to others and will stay again if back in Pisa nothing
- Robert (3/5): Did not meet expectations. - Small, old, not suites and lobby was down the street. Had approved early check in and room wasn’t ready for five hours after arrival.
- Fukuda (10/5): Great! - Wonderful stay! Staff is very kind, and room is comfortable. Nothing
- salvador (10/5): Great location, great service - The location was great, close to Roma termini. The room were in a separate building, renovated, modernized, and clean. The front desk staff were helpful and accommodating. They give complementary snacks and drinks, but if you request to be replenished, you’ll need to pay. The rooftop restaurant has nice views esp during sunset. Only setback, it’s on the pricier side. We’ll definitely go back to this place.
- Melissa (8/5): - Enjoyed our stay and close to main areas in Rome. but elevator difficult to use as its small and someone with handicap might not be able to use easily. Also, was charged extra for each person after 2 staying in the room which was not desirable.
- Leonie (8/5): - Good location & good room layout for family of 4 with 2 teenagers. Not far to walk with luggage from the train station. Not far to walk from hop on & hop off bus.
- Vicki (10/5): Quick stop in Rome - We arrived early and were accommodated with an early check in and storage of our luggage as we waited until our room was ready at the rooftop bar. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was comfortable - the only negative was that we could not control the air conditioner. Location was within walking distance to the train station for our early departure. I would stay here again.
- Alan_471 (9/5): Ideal location - N/a
- Viktoriia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Conor (9/5): Superb - Location was great. Rooms clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly. Rooftop bar was fabulous with stunning views.

- Romy (7/5): Great service from the staff. They were so helpful and made our stay very easy. A shout out to Gian Luca for his assista - I really liked that was so close to the train station. we needed to travel in an out so it was super convenient. the hotel also offered to store our bags prior to us traveling to Capri which was fantastic! the service was Amazing from the staff. the room was a bit small however it was okay for one night. You can sometimes hear the Neighbours - not the hotels fault! Just loud neighbours I guess
- Deborah (7/5): Good -
- Brigidene (8/5): Very nice property and friendly staff - The presentation of the room, comfortable layout and great bed. The refrigerator in the room was not on so was not able to be used
- Mohammad Haniffah (10/5): Good location - Near to the main train station ease of commuting
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- George (9/5): Nice hotel in a fairly central location, it was about a 30 minute walk to the Colosseum. there was a little shop across - Cleanliness and the staff was very friendly.

- Robert (10/5): Loved it and would stay again, for sure. - From the reception, to the room, to the rooftop patio it was all great. Nothing really.
- Robert (8/5): Enjoyed our stay with handy location to the Termini station. Would definitely stay again - great staff and rooftop patio. Very slow elevator. Didn’t matter what time of day.
- Claudia (9/5): Excellent room in great location, walking distance from main sights. - Great location, well equipped. Uncomfortable mattress

- Danica (1/5): Checked out the hotel upset and crying - Comfortable and clean rooms
Hotel porter was very helpful and lovely
Convenient location as near termini station Unforgetable Horrible experience with the receptionists who checked us in and out. Not accomodating for large group of people/multiple bookings. On check in, the receptionist’s body language seemed stress and unaccomodating. Also unexpectedly, after few hours of check out and upon requests of collecting our luggages, I was confronted by the receptionist in condescending and blaming manner that one our room’s bedside table is broken. I tried to explain to the receptionists that prior to check out we have left the room without any damage and this is not our doing. I assured them that we would be openly honest about it if it was us who broke that bedside table. However, the receptionists seemed to have the fixed idea that we caused this damage and continue with the blaming attitude. This confrontation left me very upset and in tears as it felt like my personal being has been attacked and judged negatively. Deeply saddened as this is the 3rd time myself and my family booked in this hotel group. Would definetely not be coming back again! They ended my HOLIDAY in a negative state!
- Oshrat (10/5): Great place near termini station -
