Vadim (8/5): - Отель очень хороший. Очень понравились завтраки. Очень разнообразный ассортимент на любой вкус. За два дня не все успели попробовать. То что попробовали, почти все понравилось. На территории и вокруг нее очень чисто. Рядом с отелем очень большой чистый песчаный пляж. Закрытая бухта. Даже при сильном ветре больших волн не было. Купаться было приятно. Расположение не очень удачное. Рядом огромный торговый центр, который не работает. И вообще вокруг много недостроенных и заброшенных зданий. До ближайшего магазина идти минут 15. Пляж находится через дорогу и никак вообще не оборудован. Все ворота со стороны моря закрыты. Чтобы попасть к морю нужно выйти с территории отеля на дорогу.

The cleanliness was only average. The massage therapist at the Marriott hotel had her hair loose, and it touched my face during the massage. She also breathed onto my face. The body massage was incomplete, and when I pointed it out, she made remarks, sounds, and gestures implying “fat” while massaging my stomach. Compared to the massage given to another customer, hers was unprofessional and done very poorly.

Yaqing (6/5): 沙滩无维护 - 海景不错，但没有直通海边沙滩的隧道，去往海边沙滩最近的门关闭，需要从大堂正门绕行。海边沙滩没有任何设施，没有躺椅，没有遮阳伞，没有维护，没有灯光，可以认为这个沙滩和万豪一点关系都没有。10楼的过道非常热，等电梯十分煎熬。早餐人很多时有两人占了三四张桌子，十分嚣张。
Expat (5/5): Passable - Beautiful interior My room did not have a complimentary welcome basket of fruit. The next morning, I saw a worker with a cart loaded with fruit baskets in my hallway. I should have just taken one but instead I motioned to my room door. He nodded in seeming understanding. I then returned to my room and waited but the fruit never came. I called to the reception desk. Despite being transferred numerous times, no English speaker could be found. Hours later when I checked out, I was not asked the standard “how was your stay?” Nevertheless, I added my reflection of sadness on not being able to get the fruit basket that came so close to my door but not inside. The attendant told me it was okay. It’s not okay, I told her, to which she feigned great sadness, adding, “I’m so sorry.” A simple piece of fruit would have been worth a thousand apologies. Staff here needs to be trained on effective problem solving and intervention strategies.

Bowen (10/5): 让人惊喜的亲子酒店 - 我们是家庭来渡假的，虽然可能因为疲情影响，酒店很多设施没有开，但是员工的服务非常好，整体体验200分！房间都是带阳台朝海的，景色非常好，就是蚊子有点多，黄昏开始就建议不要出阳台了，酒店也有给小朋友提供防蚊带。我们随行带了三岁半的小朋友，没想到万豪的亲子活动非常丰富，每天都安排得挺满，尤其是周末，做小饼干、pizza,游水、插花、调鸡尾酒等等等等，能参加的我们都尽量参加，因为实在也没什么事做了。。特别感谢其中曾淑川和杜统的员工，非常亲切，很有爱心，一直把小朋友照顾的非常好，让我们在酒店的体验非常好，在这里特别感谢一下入住万豪期间他们的照顾，非常推荐有小朋友的家庭入住，不要错过酒店安排的亲子活动！
Michael (8/5): Nice hotel at Haikou outskirts - Rooms are well kept, housekeeping is very attentive and provides enough amenities by observing people who stayed in (i have kids) The hotel is beside the convention center phase 2, hence it could be a bit noisy for light sleepers in the morning, even though the soundproofing is quite good (light metal knocking sounds). The plus side is theres lesser people and its much more serene in the hotel, as it is pretty much insulated from any construction sound. Room is big and comfortable to accommodate 4 asian sized adults. They have a reasonably sized adult pool and kids pool which was good. We took up the offer to upgrade our rooms rmb400 for 3 nights to get access to the Exec lounge at L8 and breakfast for 2. Lounge has PCs, can print 15 copies and have snack and biscuits selections. Theres beer and wines too. As its slightly situated at the outskirts, may not be convenient for those who didnt book pre-arranged transportations. It would be more suitable for business travellers

Steve (10/5): True 5 star - We stayed for one week in this hotel and everything was excellent. The room and the hotel were fantastic. The hotel staff was very friendly and attentive. Very good location right on the water and a fairly short taxi ride to many different sights and shopping (for my wife). I would definetly recommend and will stay here again. Five star experience. FYI other hotels we stayed at on this trip, Legendale in Beijing and Yuda Palace in Zhengzhou. My wife liked the Marriot the best

The information provided by the staff are all wrong with regards to the bed type.its was quite a walking distance to the rooms. Due to the wrong information provided. We were given smoking room.the whole room was filled with cigarettes smell with no choice we have to open the sliding door through out the night to allow fresh air into the room. Due to the wrong advise,one of the couple carrying their sleeping child walk couple of distance just to find the right bed type from room to room. Next morning we Asked the staff at the counter,can we change the room due to the cigarette smell, good enough they change. we also inform the staff we have to checked out at 630am the next day, will it be possible to have some coffee and bread to go. The staff said yes.after all these arrangement done. we still thinking that after all this hotel was not that bad.. But but to our horrible.. When we check out the next day.. No breakfast was prepared!OMG. How can a reputable hotel never deliver their promise! It's a total different experience with the Marriott at Sanya. Marriott Sanya was fabulous. May I ask did all your staff went for different training. How come the service standard so far apart.. I will not come back or recommend this hotel to anyone.

Minul (8/5): Good service, Clean room - Good service quality, clean room near the beach but no access to the beach or even to the platform near by. Perfect for Business/official stay. If you stay there, do not miss the hot spring bath - that's good. Food is bit expensive with limited choice.
Steven (10/5): fantastic place to end our two-week vacation - originally booked another hotel in Haikou, but after a night of horrors, we decided to move and upgrade. via Hotels.com, the Haikou Marriott fit us in the next day, even with us arriving early by three hours. entering the lobby and lounge for the first time made us feel that we should have booked sooner. compared to the cramped streets of the city, to be surrounded by the airy, open, well-designed spaces was such a refreshing change. each following experience reinforced that sentiment: quiet ocean view; big pools, hot tubs, gym (which we seemed to have to ourselves each day); spa treatments; design of our room, including balcony and bathroom. we had buffets at the Bistro, and can say that the quality and selection was excellent. it should be noted, however, that the price is at least twice that of comparable buffets at hotels in Canada, in our experience. we also had dinner at the Man Ho restaurant, which offered a surprisingly high level of service, in addition to an excellent meal. so much so that even though it is not customary to leave a tip at restaurants in China, we did so -- much to the confusion/embarrassment of our server, who was obviously not used to that kind of treatment. one thing to mention: if you're looking to explore the city, the location won't be suitable, and you'll be paying for cabs to take you to other locations. however, if you want a resort to get away and quietly chill, this is a no-brainer.

Verified traveler (10/5): clean and elegant. - My family was very happy and comfortable in Marriot Haikou Hotel. We felt safe and warm. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is very new and the staff is also new.Some were inexperience but were passionate abt their job.
