- Luz (8/5): - Just stayed for 2 nights everything was at walking distance
- Ugo (2/5): - Mattress was very stiff, staff was not helpful and it was extremely noisy and unsafe, full of drunken people with extremely high noise from speakers within the property, staff was ZERO helpful to remediate the situation.
- Karla (6/5): - Good location, the room was clean and the beds very comfy, also this is one of the few hotels that offer an indoor pool which my kids enjoyed in the evenings.
The first day there was no hot running water, we had to ask several times the person at the reception and wasnt until the next day that they turn the boiler on. The breakfast food is not good at all, just go somewhere else to eat.
- Sergio (8/5): Recomendado - Todo perfecto
- machieliak (6/5): Just barely ok but overpriced - Except for the relatively good restaurant not much to recommend:
First room had no WIFI and no warm water. Second night in other room table lamp did not work but WIFI ok. Included Breakfast was just barely ok, coffee terrible. Hotel staff relatively unmotivated.
Price much too high for what is offered.indoor pool did not look inviting. The best was the very secure parking and central location.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Recommend - Super cozy .
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Buen lugar.
- Compass11149826351 (10/5): A must stay - Clean comfy room, incredibly helpful manager named Mario who completely organised our tours of the canyon as well as our trip on the chepe express which we had not been able to do. They offer very good tour services at reasonable prices and overall can’t recommend enough.
- Sandra (8/5): - Good location and close to everything . Breakfast was a little chaotic but okay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Excelente ubicación, habitaciones remodeladas, agua calientita!!!!
- B8436SPjohng (6/5): Room nice but service average - The check in person seemed puzzled by our arrival even though we had proof of booking. She also tried to charge us, luckily we had proof of payment. We were told to be at reception by 7am for lift to station. We had to search for driver.room was clean and tidy.
- John (8/5): Could do a lot better - Check in was awful with the lady on the desk seeming to know little about our arrival and wanting to charge us. We arranged to be taken to the station at 07.00hrs and was told the driver would be there.we had to search to find him. No sheets available to sit outside.
- Trottner (2/5): Horrible experience - The hotel doesn’t look as bad as it is. It is rustic but clean. But service is horrible. People are nasty and agresive. We were at -8 degrees and they turn off the heater and hot water in the room. We woke up freezing. When we told them they said it is for security reasons!!!
We had the terrible idea of having dinner there it was the worst meal ever!!!
This is really a very bad experience.
- salvadorm631 (2/5): Booking not honored - We reserved with 2 months in advanced through a web page with a credit card guarantee and the lady in reception simply said she didn't have it and cannot give us any room. They just send us back to the street because they were over capacity.
Terrible experience.
- Plectrumman (10/5): Get what you pay for! - My GF and I stayed here for one night as part of a 3 week trip around the area.
Reception was welcoming, and our room was ready for us at 9.30am, which was convenient and helpful.
The room was nice, with a comfy bed, decent shower and working (but slow) Internet access. There was also a massive 50" TV which was impressive!
Breakfast was good - chiliquilas, eggs as you like them, and beans, served with tortillas and - to our pleasant surprise - toast! Self serve coffee and juice were both good.
Great choice of hotel in Creel if you don't need fancy, and can afford a few quid more than the cheapest.
- r0syesp (2/5): so expensive - Creel is very nice place to meet with family but this hotel is really bad, bad service, very noysy, not ac/cc, not wi fi, not pool, very expensive, not higienic items, not fans in room, everything is a lie, be careful!
- mjrg59 (6/5): Just OK - This Creel hotel was just OK. The room was large and the bathroom adequate. Breakfast was disappointing. Posted access information about WiFi was confusing. On a crowded holiday weekend, it was tolerable.
- Hayley970 (2/5): No Flushing Toilet and No Water! - After having a bad experience at another hotel in Creel we decided to stay in the Cascada. The room had recently been refurbished, but on later inspection, the hotel hasn't finished being built yet. When we first went into the room there didn't seem to be any water coming out of the basin so we asked a member of staff who went to turn the water on. It took ages for the shower to warm up, but it did eventually get hot, although the water from the basin never got hot.
However, unbeknown to us, the staff turned the water off in the night which meant we couldn't flush the toilet or wash our hands. We had to get dressed before 7am to go to reception to get them to turn the water on so we could flush the toilet and have a shower. Initially the shower was hot, but while I was in the shower the water turned stone cold and no matter how long we left it running it didn't get hot again. I had to rinse my hair in freezing cold water.
I used the toilet near reception after breakfast and when I turned the tap on, it spluttered and sprayed water out all over the front of my blouse. The plumbing system in this hotel is abysmal. Looking round the dining room at breakfast, the room only looked half built.
We paid 650 pesos for this room which was what they had initially quoted us, but they actually wanted to charge us 850 pesos. It is not worth anything, had we not had to pay on check in we would have refused to pay at all, it was a total disgrace. Both myself and my boyfriend had a bit of a sickness bug and had we had sickness and diarrhoea in the night with no flushing toilet and no running water, which was a possibility, it would have been disgusting.
This hotel was even worse than the other one we stayed at in Creel, I expect far better standards, especially as these were certainly not rockbottom prices in the town. There is no excuse for turning off the water in the night so that the toilet won't flush and you can't wash your hands. This hotel should be forced to close until it sorts out it's appalling plumbing.
- ARTIST222 (4/5): Smelly and poor sound insulation - Ok wifi, very keenly priced and the hotel has decent size bedrooms. But the mattresses are old and of poor quality. But the irritating part is not that but the smell of urine in the room. Even worse than that is that you can hear the people in the room above you urinate!
- Verified traveler (6/5): It's ok. - The price it was according with the hotel conditions but the service at front desk it was not correct and more on Sunday morning when the lady at the front desk she did not care about the people waiting to get a table for breakfast.
- cliffinmaz (4/5): Overpriced, Over-rated, Under-maintained, Poor Attitude and Service - This hotel is extremely overpriced for the service recieved. ($1,200 pesos per night in high season) Equal or better accomodation can be found within several blocks in any direction of downtown Creel and can be purchased for a third of the cost. The price charged includes a dinner that is served cold and flavorless. The also-included breakfast consists of an abysmal selection of buffet-style dishes that are also cold or at best luke-warm and "orange juice" made from kool-aid. Although cable TV is provided, the office only has a very limited number of remotes and those who don't get one are out of luck since the desk clerk could apparently care less. I will not stay in the Cascada inn again. Creel offers many other clean and much better priced lodgings. All you have to do is take a stroll down the main street. The town offers lots of available rooms at good prices.
- Voyager7727 (6/5): its nice... - Hello, we were in Creel for one week and we spent a wonderful time, we stay at cascada inn they have nice rooms, very good food, and are very kind. Simple but nice. If you visit Creel you will be in a very different enviroment, knowing the tarahumaras was very exciting.
