• Dane (10/5): - My wife and I stayed here back in May of this year. We only stayed for one night but had a great stay! It was very convenient that we could arrive at any time with the key in a lock box. The room was clean and cozy. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was small but clean. The only downside was the steep staircase and no lift. We opened our windows at night and could hear the charming Duomo Como bells. The restaurant downstairs is so charming and cozy. We loved the location; it was very safe and quiet at night and a short walk to shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!

• Charlotte (10/5): - This apartment was perfect for our three-night stay. It is in an amazing location right beside the beautiful Duomo, very handy to excellent shopping and just a couple of blocks’ walk from the lake front, ticket office, ferries and funicular. There are many restaurants and cafes in the area. The apartment itself is very comfortable with a spacious, separate double bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room for a third person. It is on the 3rd/4th floor (so try not to bring too much heavy luggage!) above a quaint restaurant and has a nice outlook on to the street. The bathroom is small, as you would expect in an inner-city apartment, but it has everything you need. The staff are fantastic to deal with - Elisabetta was always very responsive to our messages and the guy who came to check us out and refresh the apartment for the next guests did all he could to help us try to call a taxi to San Giovanni station. (FYI, in the end, we had to give up and run through town with all our bags to avoid missing our train. It’s usually only a 15-min walk across town, and a really nice walk, too, but we couldn’t get an Uber and there were no cabs at the nearby ‘office’. Como Lago station is really close to the apartment so consider taking a train to/from there if you have a lot to carry. Otherwise, try to book a cab in advance.) Overall, we had an amazing time in Como and loved staying at Le Stanze del Lago! We definitely recommend it.

• wendysI1556WL (2/5): SCAM artists. Beware! - I attempted to make a reservation in March 2024 at this establishment, but never received a confirmation email. Six months later, the proprietor just indicated my room is ready, after I made alternative plans, saying they had sent a confirmation. I had no contact details to follow up with them as I did not receive any confirmation. Entire situation seems designed to bilk you out of credit card charges, with whom I am filing a dispute.

• Anaelle (8/5): Très bon séjour - Le logement est exactement comme indiqué sur l’annonce donc pas de mauvaise surprise. Hyper bien placé en plein centre de Côme. La voiture au parking un peu plus loin (5min à pied) permet de laisser sa voiture en sécurité car toute la vieille ville ce fait à pied. Appartement propre et confortable. Il est fait pour y dormir et non pour y passer du temps car situé au dernier étage sous les toits il n’offre que 2 toute petite fenêtres. Mais pour nous c’était parfait car nous ne recherchions pas un appartement où passer nos journées.
• Raewyn05 (8/5): Close to railway and lake - We arrived a bit late and were not welcomed as we should..late fee added. 56 steps up to our top floor room. Nice comfy room which looked out over ancient rooves and equal to the Duomo! Clean and tidy.

• 120FrankY (10/5): The sweetest Como experience - If you visit Como you simply must stay here in these beautiful large modern clean suites. Affordably priced, very close to the water and the old city, the attention to detail here is faultless. You rooms are large, fully equipped, modern, light and quiet. The owners look after your every need and are great ambassadors for Italy. The hotel also features a beautiful pool, good outdoor areas, rooms with balconies, and lots of italian ambience. Simply stunning, and we will return. You wont regret booking your stay here, it is simply that good.

• Patrik (8/5): Fint men mye støy fra gaten - Veldig fin leilighet med bra kjøkken plassert akkurat i sentrum. Gangavstand til det meste, feks båtene og toget opp på bergsiden. Effektiv AC. Nedsiden med leiligheten er lydnivået, med vinduene stengt høres det ut som man bor i telt på gaten (som virker være en rolig gate), her må de gjøre noe med isoleringen av vinduene. Det er ikke heller noen utsikt uten man ser rakt inn i nabobygget
• TkWilliams (8/5): - Pleasantly surprised. We usually stay in a different hotel but it was booked so we took a chance on this property. It was a good location and very clean. We were pleased.
• Norbert (4/5): Zu laut! - Das Zimmer war von der Ausstattung her in Ordnung. Das große Problem war, dass es bis spät in die Nacht sehr laut war und am morgen früh, gegen 05:00 h ging es wieder los. Busse, LKW, Lieferwagen, Motorräder usw. führen vorbei und wir hatten fast das Gefühl sie sind im Zimmer, so laut war es. Wir hatten die 2 Nächte viel zu wenig Schlaf.

• leov933 (10/5): Comfort and relax near the lake - Had a very pleasant stay in Le Stanze. Due to a lot of traffic jams we arrived later in then expected. Andrea, the host, was very relaxed en welcomed us. The place is an beautiful redecorated house. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom excellent. After a nice dinner in town we slept on an hard but comfortable matrass. The breakfast was presented in the garden by the mother of Andrea. It is an Italian breakfast with a continental touch with a lot of self produced cakes, cookies and marmelade.

Our host was caring and we were personnaly accompanied to the site from the office. Great for families. In the heart of downtown. All sites are walkable and delicious gelato at Rez de chaussée.

Suitable very well both for families or business travelers. Rooms are spacious and with much light, very well furnished, clean and welcoming. Very comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. Recommendable for short but even medium term stay. Breakfast is very nice as well and personnel very nice.

• JB (8/5): Central Como, close to all transport - 1st room we were allocated was up 2 stories with only stair access. This was going to be extremely difficult to lug our bags up to the room. The host was great, although we couldn't change rooms till the next day, she took the bags upstairs for us, and arranged for assistant to take bags to new room( a few streets away). Be aware that the rooms are located on different appartment blocks. Rooms had different level of kitchen appliances, if you are planning to cook yoiraelf
• Pat-Ian-1 (10/5): Excellent accommodation at Lake Como - We stayed at Le Stanze del Lago for several days in September 2017. Excellent accommodation, spacious apartment with kitchen and lounge area, very clean and well positioned. Extremely helpful staff. Well recommended.
• 356rl (2/5): Late check-in charge of 10eur shamble - Booked last minute because of the airport strikes in Italy, we get there at 7:30 pm exhausted with two sleepy kids and get charged an extra late check-in charge of 10 eur for a room of 100 eur. And you have to pay it in cash obviously to escape tax. Ridiculous! Hope the Guardia de Finanze reads trip advisor. The morning basket has 4 biscotti for 4 people. We need to leave early They will probably try to charge us an early morning check-out. Very sub standard.

• Marion (8/5): Bel arrêt - De passage sur Côme le weekend nous avons réservé cette location. Nous avons choisi les appartements rénovés un peu plus cher situé juste à côté du Port. (Les appartements non rénovés ne sont pas bien loin du port non plus car ils se situent au lieu d'accueil). Accueil très sympathique. Ce n'est pas très évident de trouver la réception (manque de panneau). Personnel efficace et très professionnel. Nous avons été bien conseillé sur les restaurants et des guides sur le lac nous ont été remis. Nous avons pris le parking en plus et nous le recommandons (15€/jour ac possibilité d'entrer et sortir autant de fois que souhaitées ). Notre chambre (appelee Menaggio) était très agréable. Couchage pour 4 personnes. Grande pièce en mezzanine. Au rdc salle de bain (lavado douche sèche cheveux produit) - kitchenette (frigo rempli avec des bouteilles d'eau merci) et quelques gateaux. Canapé lit convertible avec table. Sur la mezzanine, grand lit. Le ménage a été fait chaque matin chose que nous ne savions pas et qui nous a agréablement surpris. Nous recommandons vivement cette location pratique et propre.
• RizMarsella (8/5): Roomy and Neat! - We were told our room was in another street even though our reservation was for the address we went to. It turns out, the building we were accompanied to was much better. It was more roomy, very neat and modern. The location is perfect as it is a block and half from the lakeshore and and it's next door to two gelaterias; it's near great restaurants as well. Perfect!
• ngoc_ng (2/5): Reception hardly ever open-difficult to check in or out - We arrived here to leave our bags at 9am and fortunately they were opening up and we were able to do so. However, when we came back at 2pm to check in reception was locked and no one would answer the doorbell. We came back three times over the next two hours and it remained unattended and locked. As it was our first day we had no phone to use, and to purchase a sim we needed our passports which were in our luggage at the locked reception. When we finally got someone to help us call the reception number they arrived, and told is usually someone manned reception between 9am-7pm which was a lie. We came back at 6pm to ask something and they still were not there. Absolutely appalling and so difficult for travellers.
• Maria (8/5): We wish staff were more accessible for questions. - The hotel is in a great spot. Close to the lake promenade and restaurants. Our room was beautiful and clean. Bathroom well supplied with towels. Beds were very comfortable.
• Chrissy (8/5): Perfect for us. - We stayed for 3 nights, for the Italian Grand Prix weekend. The apartment was basic, but spotlessly clean and perfect for a short stay. Couldn't be in a better area, everything on the doorstep. Staff were friendly and helpful. If I wanted to be picky, would have preferred a separate bedroom with a door, but I was aware that some rooms only had partitions. Would definitely recommend if you wanted somewhere purely as a base to sleep.

• Sarah (8/5): Great location and spacious apartment - Great location for St Marks Square and the waterfront. Apartment was spacious with sofas which were so nice to chill out after a hard day exploring. Please note that check-in was stated on Expedia at 1pm but it's more like 3-4pm in reality due to check-out being noon. However, the staff were very helpful despite arriving at 1pm and let us leave our luggage and gave us keys to the apartment plus local advice including where the nearest supermarket was. A really enjoyable stay and didn't want to leave beautiful Venice!
• juliebS6850EK (10/5): Charming apartment - Difficult to find the office at first where we were to check in and collect the key. It is actually directly opposite the accommodation but there was work going on and the building was covered in tarpaulin which covered the door! An A-board outside the accommodation directing you across the road would have been a great help. That said, the welcome was warm and friendly and check in was quick and efficient. The young man who dealt with us was energetic and full of information about what to do and where to go. He also carried our cases up several flights of stairs! The apartment is sympathetically refurbished in a modern style. It was clean and spacious. There is one double bedroom and a sofa bed, with a kitchenette, shower room, and a Juliet balcony in both rooms. We were able to make simple meals and drinks (although beware the kettle didn't switch itself off so keep an eye on it when it boils!). The location was perfect. Just a short walk from the station Como Lago and very close to the lovely Duomo and Lakeside. As mentioned above, the adjacent building was undergoing cleaning/renovation and the noise was a distraction and it would have been nice to see what lay beneath the protective covers. However, that aside, this was a perfect spot for us - very central and with breathtaking views of the Funicular railway and the mountains from both windows. Would definitely recommend this accommodation.

• GÜNDÜZ (8/5): The Hotel is next to the Como Catedral and next to - The Hotel is next to the Como Catedral and next to the train station. There is a good restaurant in the same buiding.Room is big and clean.
• GUNDUZGUNES (10/5): very good area and clean hotel - The Hotel is next to the Como Catedral..The rooms are very clean and quiet big. The owner lady is try to assist you for every step.She is very elegant and kind lady. The train station Como Lago is only 100 mts by walk.The lake and nice restaurants are also only 100*200 mts. I will stay there again.
• Bridget (10/5): Lovely spacious apartment in great location - These apartments are great value for money right in the heart of Como and close to the lake - a bit of character, plenty of living space, a well-stocked kitchenette, attractive modern bathroom and separate comfortable sleeping area on a mezzanine floor. The location couldn't be bettered really and we had a nice view of the street and mountains from our window. Excellent stay
• Inbar (10/5): Perfect, we loved this place! - The experience in Como was perfect also because we had the perfect place to stay! We stayed there with two one-year-old twins and got the best and most personal treatment, the place is very clean, modern and and staff is great (Sara is amazing and was kind enough to take us to the apartment and show us everything we need). The place was speacious and the babies had plenty of room to play, the only problem was the small alivator in whoich we couldn;t fit our twin-baby-carriege, but that happens in many places :)
• inbaro2016 (10/5): Perfect place to stay in Como - We stayed at this apart-hotel for two nights with two baby twin girls. We could not think of a better place to stay. Sara was great and gave us the most personal and helpful service escorting us to the apartment and explaining all wee need to know. The apartment was clean, spacious, modernly designed and had everything we needed and in a great location. Two baby cots were provided. I would definitely recommend!
• 139nics (8/5): Location and room to move in Como - This apartment in the centre of Como is extremely comfortable. A large apartment with a lounge, kitchen and dining table ... and stil plenty of room. Our arrival was well organised by Sarah who escorted us to the apartment and arranged parking - you need a permit to park and drive in the old town which is provided by Le Stanze. The only negative is that the parking station is outside of the old town and is a 10 minute walk to the apartment - we unpacked the car near the apartment before parking the car.
• EfakiAlejandra (10/5): Perfect residence! - Thi residence is really great, clean and the owner-lady is kind, generous and helpful!There was an airport transfer service, that is very convenient thinking that we arrived 8pm.The driver took us from the airport an transferred us to the apartment.The car belongs to a private company and the service was not for free though we gained time and money since from the airport of Bergamo we should go to the railway station and take two trains to arrive in Como.The total cost was 100 euros (33 per person) that was about the same cost as the train tickets though with less wasted time and more comfortable. The driver did us a small tour by means of a video in his car. The room had two floors with internal stairs, industrial style. The kitchen was fully equiped to have breakfast and had room to put suitcases and clothes not closets. This residence was really amazing!!! Well situated!!!
• roycsky (8/5): Very nice, great location, different than the Usual - Very nice apartment. There are no room numbers, so I can't identify the specific room, other than being about 3 floors up. There is no elevator, so be aware of this the first & last days if you have heavy luggage. Location was great. Within a block of the square and Duomo church. Easy walk (just a couple of blocks) to lake boats and one of the major train stations (Como Lago). Apartment is as advertised. On a very small quiet street, which had some noise during the late evening hours. Highly recommend the restaurant for supper.

It was quiet inside despite the busy traffic outside. Sometimes there was some contact noise from the appartment above when they moved their chairs or other furniture.
• jackiehX2321WM (8/5): Great stay! - Modern and clean apartment! Perfect location right near the main ferry service to bellagio and also main part of como. I got a 2 level apartment. Only negative is it's really noisy as near main road but otherwise great!
• Jackie (8/5): Convenient and modern hotel - Great stay loved the apartment. Very spacious set over 2 levels. Only complaint was it was so centrally based it was noisy with all the buses going past.
• JKAM2016 (10/5): Clean Modern Apartments - This was a great place to stay in the town of Lake Como! The location was great, right in the thick of things, 2 minute walk to the water and the water taxis.The apartment was clean and modern, stocked with anything you would need to cook (we did not cook, though). The bed was comfortable and there was air conditioning. The owners were also very nice and helpful. All in all, would definitely stay again if we are in Lake Como.
• emmap616 (8/5): Central location. - The apartment was absolutely lovely. The location was excellent; right in the middle of Como, and a one minute walk to the lake. I would definitely recommend staying here. The only negative was that you were unable to unload the car outside the apartment, and the car park (which you can pay extra for), was about a ten minute walk away. A bit challenging with three children!

• Rune (4/5): - Hotellet ligger fantastisk til midt i sentrum av en herlig by. Vi fikk et 4 mannsrom på loftet, trange trapper og utrygt ved brann. ingen parkeringsplasser men kort vei til parkeringshus. Ingen frokost men det var jo kort vei til alt.

Appartment unter dem Dach nicht schön, sehr kleine Fenstet unter dem Dach, man konnte nicht hinausschauen. Dusche tröpfelte nur. Die Bettdecken müssten mal gewaschen werden. Preis dafür deutlich zu hoch.

• claudia (8/5): ottimi appartamenti in pieno centro - appartamenti in pieno centro, di fianco al duomo di Como.si trova in zona Ztl , ma lasciano mezz'ora per scaricare i bagagli, poi è possibile parcheggiare con 15 euro al giorno in un autosilos a due minuti di distanza. personale gentile e disponibile , appartamento pulito e sufficientemente spazioso con tv, Wi-Fi e il necessario per cucinare. Attenzione che se affittate quelli senza ascensore c'è da fare 8 rampe di scale strette!

• Jonathan (8/5): Le stanze del lago - Gerenti disponibilissimi e posizione perfetta a due passi da piazza del duomo. A disposizione un Autosilo per 15€ al giorno raggiungibile in 10min a piedi. Il ristorante con ottima cucina e menu é da provare. Ci ritorneremo
