Check-in was smooth and hassle-free. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety, and the menu changed daily, which we really appreciated. Surely will come back again. Highly recommended!

- siti (2/5): - Many things that was neglected which made my stay uncomfortable. 1. Mouldy toilet walls 2. Dirty toilet bowls 3. Broken tissue box 4. Dirty mini fridge that froze anything placed inside 5. I called to ask for extra pillows and told I couldn't have any. 6. Ask for extra towel to swim with and I had to pay $4sgd for a poor quality towel with a stain and literally falling apart. I suggest put lesser people in the breakfast area and more people in the cleaning area. Too many staff doing nothing when theres a lot to be done. Will not recommend this hotel to anyone

Food option more than expectation for the price. The bathroom was not that clean especially the shower and the old mirror. Need more maintenance and good house keeping.

Location was good for great street food. A nice small pool with comfy loungers Bathroom needed a little updating cracked sink and old shower curtain, but it all worked. Nothing else I didn't like

The biggest downside for me was the lack of condiments in the dining area. We constantly had to ask for the basic things that complete a meal, such as salt and pepper and butter. Other than that no complaints.

I loved the decor, the impeccable cleanliness, the huge, very comfy bed...and a huge crush on the swimming pool, more beautiful than I could have imagined. I crossed paths with other super friendly Westerners there, before heading to the station on foot the next day. Very little access to the city, the windows do not open, the terrace only offers a minimal view on it (apart from the wonderful swimming pool which faces it entirely!). It should be noted that this point is not necessarily negative, given that the city is intense and very polluted (and the hotel has nothing to do with it!).

The food was good for the price of the hotel. The pool was a bit small for swimming but ok for a toddler or young children to splash around in. Could have been cleaner in places.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - The Akmani was a good compromise between location, size of room and value for money. We had a superior double on the 7th floor. The bed was very comfortable and the air-conditioning was excellent. TV channels were rather poor (no football!). The buffet breakfast was also varied - Indonesian, Western including Eggs station - with good coffee. Although the service on the whole was good, the reason I didn't give a 5* star was because the bathroom had a slight smell which wasn't resolved during our stay. There was also rather loud drilling at the rooftop terrace after 8 am (part of ongoing renovation) so if you want to sleep-in, opt for a room in the lower floors.

- YC (8/5): Standard Has Dropped - The standard of the hotel has dropped. Particularly on the cleaniness, compare to my previous stays. The towel is dark and not very clean look. The bathroom also averagely maintained. The rubbish was swept behind the door of the restaurant entrance without tidy up.
- Lieza (8/5): - Actually this hotel ok, because i have stayed before this on 2014, but now look messy mybe because of under renovation... and i hope after renovation finish, this hotel back to normal... and your staff very helping and friendly... i lobe it... oh ya location veey good!! Keep it up

- alberto (4/5): my second stay - This is my second stay in this hotel after few years and unfortunatelly for them it was a very unhappy stay!! the hotel is under rennovation and you have to walk in from the car park under the hotel, at my check in outside of my room there was an used plate with some left food on it and after 2 nights the plate still there till we complain about it, in 3 nights have to go down to the lobby 4 times because some problems with my door card, both lift have daily problems and one day we have to wait at the 6 floors for 20 minutes for some one pick up us from the lobby, another day we have to use the service lift that smell rabbish, we booked 2 rooms that should be the same size but at the end of my stay find out that one room big the the other (im not sure but I think that they give to us one grand deluxe and one deluxe), the brekfast was ok (but just ok no more), dust and dirty every where...look like no mangment at all and for sure the hotel need a big impruvment and rennovation.
