• Sharon (8/5): It's a good place to stay on a budget. It has everything you need as a traveller. - The room had everything I needed for my stay. The staff were very helpful. The location was great for getting to the market, Namsan Tower, and the subway stations. The walls were thin. That's about it. I don't have much else to say.

• Marko (9/5): - The location is great, not too busy but plenty of restaurants and stuff very close. Namdaemun market within 5m, Myeongdong 10. Also the subway/busses close as well. The room is very small but it was clean and should have everything needed for solo travellers. The lady from the reception also helped me with the laundry (the accomodation has a washing machine) which was a big timesave. Easy recommendation for solo people (for 2, you should check if you can fit everything as the rooms are very small).

• Tammy (9/5): Will book again - I loved the staff, location was good for getting around as solo traveller. Rooms are small but equiped with ensuite and fridge. There is a shared kitchen and washer and dryer which is a real bonus. Value for money If want somewhere to sleep and spend money on holiday.

• Tilman (5/5): Enjoyed the superb location, but the rest was a compromise. I don't recomment if ur dust sensitive. - Superb location and ok room size. Nice staff and washer/dryer available In my perception the air quality was lacking and the cleaning was restricted to areas visible (otherwise also dirty/dusty surfaces eg under handles or above cabinets). Also my room was still too hot even after asking to shut down the heating completely in my unit.

• Fiona (10/5): - Centrally located and very close to the bus stop and train station so you can easily get to anywhere in Seoul. The staff were so lovely and even helped me to book a day tour for the DMZ. Would definitely stay here again!

• Jan Rejien (10/5): It was perfect for my Birthday Trip as a solo traveler. - The owner/staff was very nice and friendly. I arrived around 2 or 3 hours early they allowed me to check-in. The property is sorrounded by local food you can enjoy. It's near bus stop and safe even at night. I'm a female solo traveler and I felt safe in the property and the location ❤️ Nothing.
• Line (6/5): Proche de tout mais mériterait un petit coup de neuf - Emplacement parfait pour tout faire à pied dans myeongdong. Gros + pour le rooftop qui est accessible à tout moment. Cuisine également accessible est bien équipée. Les murs sont très fins on entend tous les gestes de son voisin. En comparant à d’autres guesthouse je trouve le prix légèrement élevé pour le lieu et la taille de la chambre.

• William (6/5): Greta value for money - Great location, and value for money - you get what you pay for. Staff were helpful enough and let me store my bag throughout the day. Didn't hear any noise from other rooms or the area. Quite a lot of mosquitos in the room - Not sure if this is what it is always like, or if I didn't have the screen closed properly.

• Elizabetharma (10/5): Ideal location and warm hospitality - So I just got back from what has been my first ever solo travel to South Korea (from UAE). The flight was around 8 1/2 hours — and a five-hour time difference from my homeland. I arrived earlier than planned (because I knew the check-in was at 2:00 p.m.) but to my SURPRISE AND DELIGHT, the owner allowed me to check into my room at 11:00 a.m. since it had already been cleaned. A welcoming gesture to my trip, so warm & friendly! I stayed for 5 days and the location was ideal. Located smack in the heart of Seoul, a stone throw away from most tourist attractions, and nearest bus stop around the corner (within 2min walk). When I arrived at the reception a lovely lady, with open eyes for beauty welcomed me and went thru the tours of the facility. Bethlehem, Pennsylvania | I was excited to learn they had a rooftop — a wonderful place to unwind after touring all day. The room was warm, comfortable and ideal for a solo traveller like me. I got a good night sleep every night and I never felt unsafe during my time there. In summary: the hospitality, location, and amenities make this place a hidden jewel. Whenever I am in Seoul, for sure this will be my best place to stay. Highly recommended!

• NAOKO (8/5): とても便利 - 今回で3回目の利用でしたが、立地の良さが1番！地下鉄は階段が多いので、よくバスを利用するんですが、バス停が近くて本数が多いのでほんとに良かったです。部屋も こじんまりしていて外出するのが多い人にはちょうどいいと思います。 ホテルの周りが、細い路地とかがあって食べ物屋さんも多いので、女性の1人歩きは抵抗がある方もいるのではないかと思います。

• George (8/5): - Cozy hotel, interesting local thought as nice that it was near a bunch of food and bus stops. Room was tight but cheap. The people there were very nice, the bed was alright, there was a mattress cover on it but it would slide sometimes when I was not sleeping and the bed frame had to rest against the wall since it would rock otherwise. Definitely not a luxurious stay but it does the job if you only use it to sleep. Wouldn’t recommend if you plan on staying in your hotel room long.

I could hear the person next door snoring the whole night and couldn't sleep at all. The room is exceptionally small and the bed was not very comfortable. The bathroom needed to be cleaned better.

The staff was the best part of our experience. They were very hospital and went above and beyond our expectations. They were very accommodating due to our last minute reservation. I highly recommend this hotel. Nothing, everything was great.

Even though it was lowest cost housing in the area, it still wasn't worth the cost. Would have been perfect for around $40/night. Might be a shock to some just how small exactly the rooms are once you walk in. Beds are EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE. EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE.

• Meryn (8/5): I loved my stay at the Star guesthouse. It was very welcoming and perfect for a solo traveller. - The location was wonderful and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was small but when staying at a guest house not an upmarket hotel, this is understandable. I loved going up to the rooftop and just relaxing after lots of sightseeing. It was also so lovely to be welcomed back each day with a smiling face. There were slippers provided to walk around in, rather than your shoes…a cultural thing I think.

Might have to move around certain furniture to accommodate space for big luggage. Size of toilet is decent. Extremely convenient to get to city hall station and airport limousine bus stop from here. Many eateries nearby. I would recommend this to short stay solo travellers who just want a simple room that fulfils basic needs.

• Mai-li (1/5): Unsafe - A woman with glasses screamed "nihao or sawadikap" and convulsed each time she saw a dark skin person (latino, asian, muslim) They probably hide cctv in the room or use an alarm door : you can wake up, still in the bed 100 % quiet in the dark. If you take your phone to check the time (no sound) she begins to hit violently the wall to get you out. Each time I was out and putting my shoes on, a woman came from nowhere run away like a demon and opened my door by force to check inside and followed me in the kitchen, the toilet, to the shoe locker like to control me She can do that at any time of the day : 2 AM when you came back from the 7/11, at 5 AM for the early check out She always stalked me after exited from a room far from mine (no view on my room, no audible sound from me), how is it possible without cctv ?

• Sophie (6/5): Alright for 2-3 nights but I did not sleep well due to noises. - The location, cleanness and staff helpfulness were excellent. And I loved the good coffee. The insulation between rooms and noise levels at night from other guests showering, snoring, talking and using the toilet are a lot. People come at all hours, as did I, so this property really needs better insulation and or clearer rules around showering at night. I also could not use the fridge in my room because it made a lot of noise and there was barely any room in the main communal fridge for anything. I managed to fit a mini carton of milk in there only. I suspect others did not use the fridges in the rooms either.

• Wanjugu (6/5): Pleasant - The location is wonderful. Easy to reach via train, bus and especially if using the airport bus it is excellent. There are a lot of food options around the area too. There is coffee, tea available all day in the kitchen and it is possible to make your own meals if necessary. There is a lot of clutter in the reception area and when we arrived our room was dirty with hair all over the place. The room was advertised for 2people but it's too small. The staff were happy to move us to a bigger twin room which was clean, and comfortable for 2people. If driving, this is high traffic area so traffic jams are part of the deal.
