- JUAN PABLO (4/5): - I liked the view or the hot air balloon in the morning. There are several things that I disappointed me: 1. Location: small town far away from the touristic area. You must have a car to move around. 2. The hotel was very basic. There wasn’t any amenities or services. 3. The room had an awful smell. It smelt like sewage and it was so strong we had to sleep with the door open to let in some fresh air. 4. The towels were old and had holes. 5. The breakfast was very basic and the lady serving was incredibly rude to me and my family. Overall would not recommend for foreigners as the staff doesn’t know english and refuses to help to make our experience satisfying.

It’s hard to park, and the breakfast was included it wasn’t really good.

The staff is so caring and welcoming to all tourists. - Paul (10/5): - Fantastic property with a great view of balloons in the morning and the sunset in the evening. The walk up to the hotel from the main road is a little steep, but worth it. All the staff were very attentive and helpful. Parking is a bit of a challenge, however the staff work with neighbouring properties to coordinate getting in and out quickly and easily. Several great restaurants in the immediate vicinity, and a short walk to Çavusin Castle or nearby valleys with fairy chimneys.

Asiri bakimsiz kahvaltisi cok basit siradan kahvaltiydi yani bi wow diyecegim birsey bulamadim. Alt kat‘da oturma yerleri var ama minder koyulmamis, koltuklar ortada birakilmis. Verdigimiz ücret icin daha fazla bekletimiz vardi.

Le ménage est fait tout les 2 jours sauf si vous demandez tout les jours. Le jacuzzi sur les photos n est plus fonctionnel depuis 2018.

- Ozgehaktanirr (10/5): amazing view, great place with an excellent staff - Thanks for the hospitality of the staff. They are all smiling, caring and polite. We went there as a couple at the end of April 2023. So the weather is a bit cold. Anyways, there are heater in the rooms. The rooms are clean, wide and spacious. The hotel has a park area. The view is amazing. The breakfast is very delicious and various. We especially thank to Mr. Serkan for his recommendations for the activities. If i visit Cappodocia again, i definetely choose this place for accomodation.
- JandASuffolkUK (10/5): What a gem !! - We stayed at Phocas on 27/28 Sept in suite 104. From the moment we arrived until the second we left it was an absolutely brilliant experience. The whole team could not have done anything more to make us feel welcomed. With warm smiles and generous advice supported by practical assistance with booking taxis etc they were fantastic. The accommodation was unique, charming and authentic- the breakfast was excellent quality and ample quantity. Location is superb for visiting the local sites and experiencing the magical spectacle of the balloon flights. This is, without doubt, one of the best hotels we have stayed in.

Room functional, without aircon the room was quite humid at night. Cafes and restaurants in the village were reasonably priced. & within walking distance. Goreme - a 10 minute drive - has an abundance of cafes & restaurants & shops. A car is preferable as there are so many places to explore, good hiking trails in the national park

Otel personeli oldukça güleryüzlü, samimi, her konuda yardımcı olmaya çalışıyorlar. Genel olarak konaklamamızdan memnun kaldık, tekrar aynı yere gitsek aynı otelde konaklarız. Sadece altta katta bulunan mağara odada kaldığımız için nem bize fazla geldi.

Bufede normal kahvalti turleri (peynir cesitleri, receller, bal, domates, salatalik) ve daha fazlasi vardi. Arti kahvalti yanina yumurta, omlet, gozleme vardi. Cavusin icinde cok guzel bir otel.

- tara582 (8/5): Incredibly hospitable - Stayed here for 3 days and despite an early arrival, we where met by a very welcoming Bekir and cezar ( name could be spelt incorrectly) we where allowed an early checking and a room upgrade. Once check in was completed we, we started a talk about interest of things to do in area. Bekir was extremely knowledgeable and forth coming on honesty, which is an asset! We naturally arrived quite hungry and he drove us to a family run local restaurant with manti ( must try) we didn’t have a car so he did this graciously. We then booked a tour with him and honestly speaking all of his comments and feedback on every question asked was a 100% accurate. Definitely heed his advice. The rest of the trip they where all extremely welcoming and friendly. You feel like one of their own and not just a paying guest. Slight drawback is it’s a little distant from town but if you don’t mind a walk or better still rented a car then this place is brilliant. Bekir and cezar are simply put just great at making you feel welcomed

They provided a room in basement without air conditioning or fan. Couldn’t sleep the whole night, it was warm. Next morning they changed it to smaller room, was comfortable. The guy at reception was rude. If traveling with family DONOT book this hotel.

- Sb1324 (10/5): Warmest days in Pochas - We booked the hotel extremely on last minute of our vacation when we arrived to Cappadocia. The hosts were pretty friendly and they welcomed us so sincerely that we loved them. Next time Pochas is the only address of Cappadocia. Cavusin is also one of the best place to watch the balloons.

- Vasim11 (10/5): Amazing Experience! - We stayed at Phocas Cave Suites for a couple of days. The stay was pleasant and warm with good breakfast served everyday :) The location is on a slightly steep hill, and taxis usually drop you off at the base point, which is like 2-3 minutes away. However the hotel cab came in and dropped us at the gate of the hotel. Its slightly away from the main market area and taxi charges around 18-22 Liras to drop at the main market Hot Air Balloon view from the top of the hotel is amazing and you can click really nice pictures of this amazing activity. The receptionist helped us a lot to know the place better and arranged a guided tour for us at reasonable cost. Highly Recommended.

The staff at the hotel managed to get us on a balloon flight on short notice, even without us paying in advance. Great advice for the local area and otherwise just great interaction with them. Highly recommend Phocas based on the staff alone!

It has all the amenities needed without tones of tourists which was exactly what I was looking for. At sunrise we did our own hike up through the caves to red valley to watch the balloons take off. It was an amazing experience to see them up so close then at a distance !! Highly recommend this hotel ! The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was great!
- Charles (8/5): Nice rooms, limited amenities - Nice hotel with quaint rooms. Lovely view. Would not recommend staying here without booking a car as there is nothing in walking distance and I’m not sure about the cab situation. The rooms are nice but as they are built into the cave, expect a bit of a musty/damp smell. Don’t think it’s a reflection of poor cleanliness, simply a reality of the location. Make sure you make alternative plans for breakfast. It’s a nice view for coffee/team but the food selection is not great.

- Mayzzzz (10/5): Amazing service and fresh and yummy food - The staff are very friendly, they make you feel like family. They helped us with any questions we had including organising activities and even contacting our next hotel in another city. They serve a complementary breakfast each day that is fresh, made to order and delicious. The resort has great views and is situated in a convenient spot near soem great restaurants like Zindan and Cappagusto. There are also a few gift stores and a great jeweller all within a 1 minute walk from the hotel. Highly recommend this hotel.
- camilop796 (10/5): Second time in Phocas and still the best hotel in Cappadocia - I came to Cappadocia the first time 5 years ago with my family and we loved phocas caves suites, so on my second trip I decided to book again, this time, for a very special trip with my now Fiancé. There are 3 main points about this particular hotel, 1) The location is excellent, is Im çausin which is not very crowded so you have a less noisy area with very good restaurant around and still very close to all the main attractions around Cappadocia(the view in the morning and in the sunset is spectacular) . 2)The roos are proper caves, so if you really want to experience this particular way of sleeping is great (The food is also nice) . 3) last but not least, the human factor, the Staff is very kind and I have to say I am very thankful for their help, I did the bookings I needed with Bekir (The balloon ride, Turkish night, car rental) the manager, him and the rest of the team were always there to assist me, (even to set up a romantic mood for my Fiancé’s birthday.) If I have the opportunity to come back to this fantastic part of the world I will definitely stay here again.

- Cherry (10/5): Perfect for everything!!! - The room was amazing and so beautiful. A bit humid but it's fine for me. The view was incredible!!! We could see hot air balloons flying above and around us!!!!! The hotel's location is perfect. You can go up to the mountain in the morning and see many balloons flying just like the pictures you can always see in the internet. You can also see the sunset there or the cave just right beside the hotel which u can find the perfect spot for sunset. You can book all the tours and reserve shuttle bus just in the hotel!! Super convenient!!! Free breakfast!!! Restaurants around the hotel. The staff are extremely nice!!!!! They even gave us a gift when we left!!!! They were being very helpful to our trip in Cappadocia!!!
- Kristine (10/5): Comfort, service and sights - The hotel is in a great location, particularly if you have your own transportation. The cave rooms were spacious and comfortable. Seeing the balloons early in the morning was a special treat. Breakfast was simple but tasty. The staff were incredibly attentive and accommodating.

From arranging a hot air balloon ride in peak tourist season when availability was next to nil, to helping with local transportation and food, they took care of it all. The cave suites themselves are amazing with a fantastic view of the landscape. Walking distance from Rose/Red valleys.

The first night he brought us complementary glasses of wine while we sat on out balcony (which had an amazing few of the sunset). He also recommended restaurants in the immediate area. (The owner of the restaurant pickup us up and dropped us off each night right from hotel.) The recommendation was wonderful as we chose to eat in this same restaurant each night for authentic Cappadocian cuisine. The manager helped us to confirm all of our travel plans. We plan to bring our adult children soon and hope to stay at this excellent hotel again. Each room is unique and there are only 12 rooms.
