Guest Reviews
- Robert (8/5): We generally stay at the quest on ward as always comfortable and conveniently located, - Ideal location, clean, comfortable Reception wasn’t open but understand due to staff shortage
- MAD1411 (5/5): -
- Lisa (9/5): Very comfortable. - Very central location.
- Rosemary (2/5): - Great location. I expected to get the room I booked - a 1 room apartment with a balcony. Instead I got a room for a disabled person with a bar across the sliding door no balcony. The room was annoying. The lights only dimmed at night with the light above the bed so bright you couldn't sleep. Obviously designed for a disabled person. Breakfast was provided so you would expect 2 breakfasts for 2 nights. Only got one minus any milk for the weetbix.
It was definitely NOT the room I booked so was overpriced. Very disappointing.
And I'm able to run a marathon despite my white hair. Certainly not disabled.
- Tracie Nicholls (9/5): -
- Eric (5/5): bien sans plus. - très bien situé au centre ville. la prise en charge du logement personne pour nous guider, le bruit .
- Mareikura (7/5): Great location and room, check in and complimentary breakfast terrible - The location was good, right in town walking distance to Sky City Casino etc.
The room itself was great and clean, once we got there.
Washing machine and dryer was also great to have. The check in experience was terrible. Mid afternoon on a Friday, no one was there, took about 30mins before anyone turned up. The complimentary breakfast is misleading. It's only for one person. We got 2 baby juices, 1 apple, off curdled milk (pics below), two pieces of toast, 1 small yoghurt and some spreads. We choose this place because of that. The picture on the site shows 2 continental breakfast so I guess that makes you believe that's what you're getting, but it is not.
- Carolyn (9/5): -
- Christine (6/5): Spacious and clean rooms with everything you need. - Great location in city centre. Reception was non-existent even within advertised hours. We had trouble getting through the door and didn’t appreciate standing on a busy city street talking to someone through a little speaker.
- celia (8/5): - Great location and very good staff
- Warren (8/5): - Great location, quiet, clean, good size, huge bathroom, laundry After hours finding carpark was tricky, no signage and no map or directions in room. After hours phone guy was not familiar either. Another guest helped us out. Car park was excellent when found.
- Paul (1/5): A great disappointment. we have stayed at many Quest properties but this was a tip - Nothing The apartment was tiny. The furniture rubbish and uncomfortable, I have given away better furniture to charity. We were charged $25 to park in a back street with no cover and no security.
We were booked for 2 nights but we left the vey next morning after one night of misery.
- Wendy (9/5): -
- Rangiiria (7/5): -
- Sandy (1/5): Not The Best - Location The rooms did not accommodate all our people. Service was not good as the lady kept trying to hang up on me. Not the greatest experience.
Quest on London better. Lady helped me and accommodated us, acknowledging not my fault. But now quest are trying to charge us for their mess up. Not happy!!!!
- Diane (9/5): -
- Jennifer (9/5): Location and customer service was great. - The room was spacious and clean. Kitchenette was well equipped. The light bulb in the bedroom was dimmed but not off when we have switched off the light switch. That kept us up abit.
The couch was abit hard and small.
- Valois (9/5): The room was lovely. It was unfortunate that the receptionist was managing one of the busiest days in Hamilton alone. Th - Great location to Homegrown
Clean and fresh, everything was in good working order. The receptionist was exceptionally busy and noted Quest was “short staffed” so we had to drive to Quest on London to collect the Keys to stay at Quest on Ward. It is a short drive but with road closures around the CBD was a hassle. The parking situation wasn’t well explained and there was only one parking “key” available on check in despite 2 rooms being booked. We received a voice message around 6pm to say the second parking key was available.
- Kate (9/5): Great location with everything you need - This Quest is always clean and well equipped with comfy beds and everything you need. Handy location close to the mall and restaurants and bars as well as the transport centre. The breakfast is great if you have the option. Iv stayed here a few times and there has not been anyone on reception. You can still easily check in using the outside intwrcom/call button. It makes it harder to ask questions or park bags before check in or on check out, and to ask for a later check out etc.
I dont know if its just luck of the draw but it seems the other Quest aroind the corner is always staffed and are sent to Ward if someone asks for somethign which personally makes me feel like a bit if an an inconvieniene. If Quest on Ward is not going to be staffed its not a major issued - but it should be transperant and advertised as such.
I wouldnt not stay there for this reasonbecause the room and location is so good, but its always nice to have a personal customer experience, especially when away from home.
- Goodman (7/5): -
- Catherine (9/5): - We were unable to have luggage minded at Quest on Ward but the staff kindly made other arrangements for us at Quest on Elizabeth.
- Alan (4/5): Check in day good check out a disaster. - The location The check was very good.
The morning of the check out was a disaster. At 10am nobody on reception also lift not working got trapped in the lift pressed the alarm button and all you get is a recorded message which is useless. Managed to escape from the lift eventually.would not recommend Quest on ward.
- David (8/5): - Nice 1 bedroom apartment in the heart of Hamilton CBD.
Lots of good places to eat and drink.
Close to FMG stadium and we won some money at the casino Small shaky bed.
- Robert (10/5): Friday, Saturday night stay in hamo, was just as we wanted, location spot on and central to everything being walking dis - Location was spot on, clean, modern and everything we needed Nil
- Stu (9/5): Ideal location. Clean, comfortable and wish we could have spent more time there. Once in! - Trying to get into the place. Using an intercom and being told the door would open to let us in to get our key but it didn’t happen. We tried to contact using intercom again to say door wasn’t open but nobody answered. Was only a guest who came outside was the reason we were able to enter and get our swipe card and key.
- James (10/5): -
- Fred Hansen (5/5): - Located close to shops. Excellent security. Terrible bed, very hard and uncomfortable. Purchased a high loft mattress topper after 1st night as booked 3 nights stay. We were in a disability room and the long handle mixer tap in the shower was missing the grub screw so was floppy and very difficult to adjust. The lift still hasn't been repaired as reviews last year. I would not recommend this appt.
- Olivia (10/5): - Lift unavailable for walker so moved to London street quest
- Susan (8/5): -
- Christine (6/5): -
- Ashley (10/5): - Clean and in a great location
- Ueta (4/5): I wouldn’t recommend it to my friends. - Close to city No lifts, even though I booked before hand it’s something they should notify the customers about .
- Noelene (7/5): - Location. Very comfortable and clean. . Difficult when you check in. No parking to check in especially if you don't know the area. Photos of the outside in the advert is different to what the outside looks like
- Kirsty (7/5): - Staff, room Front foyer and elevator were dirty
- Kathleen (10/5): -
- Leah (10/5): - Location. We were central to everything Lifts were out of order
- Diane (8/5): -
- Yuta (10/5): -
- Oznur (10/5): -
- Mark (1/5): -
- Louise (7/5): Ok to base yourself in Hamilton - Big room. Equipment in room was good like proper clothes dryer and chopping board, also had an oven. Didn't see any staff apart from when we checked in, and that person didn't really seem to know much, maybe cover staff?
Room said we would have a balcony but we were on first floor and it was only a Juliet balcony so we couldn't actually step out onto it.
Off-site under cover parking was very expensive considering it was not at all full so can't imagine demand is very high.
Elevator wasn't working.
- Taamara (5/5): - Good location. However the check in process could be better. The lift was broken.
- Kaitlin (7/5): -
- Hunter (8/5): -
- Wayne (9/5): - Location. Room
- Linda (10/5): - Location, easy to get to shops/restaurants. Clean rooms and love having the ability to do my laundry in the room!!!
- Linda (10/5): Great for the money - location, the ability to do my laundry was quite helpful. easy to walk around to get to shops
- Trevor (8/5): Aside from a nonfunctional lift this was a comfortable stay in a nicely appointed central property. - We liked the central location of this property and the modern well appointed room. Our room was on the third and top floor of the property, but the lift was out of service during our stay. This meant carrying our trolley bags up three floors. This was inconvenient for pensioners like us, but we managed. Others may have found it more challenging or off putting. Parking was very limited, but we were fortunate to book one of two parking spaces at the rear of the property. There were some commercial parking buildings on adjacent streets, but less convenient, and if necessary always street parking.
- Victor (7/5): - Room was large and quiet. A bit dated but clean.
Excellent location in town but that complicated parking. The lift was not working. I'm 75 and had to carry large suitcases up and down 2 flights of stairs. No help on site as the office was open only sometimes.
Parking was very limited and expensive.
On street parking was hard to find at times.
- Dougo (9/5): Comfortable spacious apartment in good location and good facilities - Spacious room with good facilities. Very comfortable. Parking had to be paid for but reasonable price and secure allocated parking space Lack of staff on site. No one at reception the three days we were there. Elevator out of action. Luckily we were given a first floor room but there were 3 floors which could have been a problem
- Sthree (8/5): -
- Savita (10/5): -
- Jen-Shih (10/5): - total service is good
- Grace (5/5): It’s good for couples who don’t have much luggage and want somewhere to stay a few nights but won’t recommend it for a f - I like the fact it was close to everything and bed was comfortable and shower pressure was amazing. Was very clean and had everything you needed The room was extremely small the door leading out to the very small balcony. If you wanted to have your car safe you had to pay for parking in a parking building and it was a decent walk from the parking to the hotel. There was no staff there at all times you could not leave your bags at the desk while waiting for check in not could you see anyone until check in and only way to talk to someone is either call or through a speaker thing but that was horrible at times was very hard to hear
- Eugene (9/5): Will definitely stay again - Easy and convenient to get to and great location Nothing
- lynch (9/5): - prompt friendly communication. clean comfortable room. great location. exactly what we wanted. nothing.
- Darryl (9/5): -
- Rhonda (9/5): Wonderful area to stay, so close to movies, food, river. Very private and quiet hotel. loved it. - Loved the apartment, PARKING, I didn’t look into this properly, would book a park along with booking next time. A must.
Somewhere to hang or put things in bathroom would be good.
Wrack for dish washing, yes we hand wash.
Had difficulty understanding the receptionist.
- Rebecca (10/5): Quest on Ward. - The tidiness and extra facilities to make it feel like home. It was a bit noisy being beside a public thoroughfare and confusing on how to check in. Staff were helpful over the phone though and this quickly solved the problems checking in.
- Geoff (7/5): -
- Benoit (10/5): - Tres bel appartement en plein centre-ville,
- Tanya (9/5): Great value for money - Great value for money
Clean apartment Entrance and hallways but grubby, mainly stained carpets
- Hape (9/5): Great location and facilities - Great location for our meeting. The facilities were good too. Easy to park and close to shopping. Couch was a little hard
- Elizabeth (8/5): - There was a light shining into from the light even though the light was off. Maybe from a skylight and the street lights shining into.
- Tinaya (10/5): -
- Mike (7/5): -
- Chris (9/5): - The unit was parfect for my needs. It was nice and clean with all the facitiles. Check in was easy despite arriving late. The wifi signal was not very strong and at times unusable. Apart from that everyting was very good.
- Suzy (8/5): Only in for one night ….it was OK - It was a clean tidy unit. Reception had closed before the advised 4pm…..so no staff to comment on. No password for wifi in the unit….
- Leanne (7/5): -
- Corinne (2/5): Nice apartments, but questionable service - Room and facilities were fine Was massively inconvenienced with check in at this property - having to drop back my camper earlier then I had to, to ensure check in could be done. They tried my card which declined BUT did not advise they were taking the security deposit at the same time so the amount I thought they were taking was more - very rude to me about it and told me I needed to check in at their Quest on London hotel instead - I advised NO that I won’t be doing that as I had my luggage and child with me and I didn’t book that hotel. I was told “we are understaffed LOVE” in a very rude tone, I asked who was paying for my Uber back and forth and I got no answer. I advised the staffing was not my issue unfortunately and they needed to assist me as I was the paying customer for the room. I was told that I should have known the deposit would be taken at the same time and to check my itinerary from
booking.com - did that and the hotel confirmation both state AT CHECK IN the sighting of ID and the holding deposit would be taken not at the time of the room charge - I hadn’t even checked in yet. Upon arrival the staff member met me with annoyance as if I had inconvenienced their day. I was already upset and stressed I had to cut my day short to try and assist their own dilemma. Lugging a 6 year old, car seat, 2 suitcases and 2 backpacks and there was just no acknowledge at all. Fast forward to today 14/10 and I checked out on the 9/10 - two follow ups for the hold to come off of my account for the security deposit and I log in, account is in minus and I’ve been charged the security deposit! No reply to the 2 messages I sent them initially and no correspondence regarding a claim. Quest needs to have a staff meeting around professionalism and customer experience because this is not it!
- Bruce (1/5): Very unprofessional. - The location The manager tried to get me to pay an extra $100 cleaning fee and $100 for cracked lamp shades that were broken when we arrived. When I refused to pay it, he threatened to contact my workplace, we were on a personal vacation, nothing to do with work.
- Chelsea (8/5): Great value and location. - Great location and room was really good value for money. Check in method.
- Andrew P.D. (5/5): - Location was central, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom were clean. No comfortable area to relax in the room, sofa was as firm as the plastic desk chair.
Couldn't see view outside because the windows had a thick layer of dirt on outside, never had exterior clean (see image attached where I have wiped a section to read signage accross the street!).
I stayed two nights and didn't see a staff member, reception was locked shut.
- Leon (7/5): Good clean property, great location but dissappointed about the parking process. - Parking system was confusing, in as much as I phoned property 2 days prior to arrival & was advised someone would contact me to arrange parking. No one did, so I phoned later that day to confirm parking procedure. Was advised (by a different person) that parking was arranged & I would have free parking in parking space 11. When I arrived on the day, was advised (by the person at the desk) that I would have to pay for a different parking space in the secure multi level car park, which I did, (given that parking space 11 was already taken).
- Karen (6/5): - Room was clean & comfortable. Check in was difficult- spoke to 3 people before check in was sorted- took 1/2 hr standing on street waiting!!!
Entrance quite dirty looking. Booking didn’t have my parking request!
- Mark (9/5): Good location, modern clean rooms, centrally located, good value. Will stay again. - Great after hours check in process, excellent parking.
Overall a great experience Nothing, everything was positive.
- Rachael (7/5): -
- Sandra (5/5): - Room was quiet and clean No tv in room reception was never maned, furniture in room was very uncomfortable
- Cheryl (5/5): Disappointed and would not stay again or recommend - Location good. Clean on arrival. Reception and check-in appalling. Worst I’ve ever experienced. Never anyone in reception. Inconsistent house keeping. Clothes airer missing pieces. Dining chair damaged. No lamp in sitting area.
- Gill (4/5): - Checking in was very difficult via intercom. I couldn't get the tv to stream from my phone either through qr code or vua website. But was very roomy, comfortable and clean
- Tan (8/5): Excellent location - We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment. The location is right in the centre of Hamilton city with many shops and restaurants surrounding. The apartment is spacious, clean and got all the equipment even a washer. However the bed is a not very comfy, and there's only 1 mirror in the bathroom, no hook to hang clothes in the bathroom, but there's a heated rack for bath towels which is really nice in winter. Overall is quite good. Booked for car parking in advance
- Allan Francis (10/5): - Nothing to complain about
- Kamoe (10/5): - Enjoyed Quest at Ward for it’s location, safety and all of the above notations
- Andrea (7/5): -
- Bryan (10/5): - Location
- Hape (8/5): -
- Becky (10/5): -
- Karno (10/5): -
- Brogan (8/5): - Room was clean and spacious. Hotel entrance could do with some upgrading but overall a positive experience
- John (8/5): - Location was good
- Stephen (9/5): Superb -
- Stacey (4/5): Was great stay otherwise , good Location - Great location Cheap dinning chair , actually broke and cut my partners back, parking was nightmare, have to get your key then park and then again at check out have to go get your car before returning key
- Kiana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michelle (7/5): Good -
- Anthony (7/5): Good -
- Megan (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location for our needs, and fantastic service given it was a last minute booking.
- Malcolm (8/5): Great rooms and comfy and clean but Hamilton City centre is a dodgy place to be after dark. - Great size apartments, clean and comfy. Hamilton City centre after dark is dodgy. Lots of street dwellers and would t want my daughter or partner to have to navigate the part of town Quest is located after dark.
There were some security staff the night I arrived but didn't see any the second night.
- Patrisha (10/5): - Reception was unattended, call button at the entry was helpful, but did not realise anyone was at deak till another customer arrived, would still be standing outside if not for other guest.
Overall great location, walking distance from Casino and right across the road from the mall
- Brian (7/5): great location - location bed was far to hard, as was the couch
