Guest Reviews
- Kumaran (6/5): - Good location. Aircond was not good.
- James (6/5): - Don’t expect much
- Klaus (10/5): - Alles Wunderbar. Sehr freundliche Gastgeber.
Gerne wieder.
- Kavetha (8/5): Comfortable trip - It was a good experience. The hotel was comfortable and the owners and receiptionist is friendly. The resort was strategic as it is near to the beach and to have lunch and dinner
- Grace (4/5): Please do so a lot of repair(uppgrade your room” - The people work there is friendly.
But the room is not good. The internet is not good.
The first day when we got in into the room and check everything, the glass is used (i toke picture on it) the room, pillow, toilet, and everything inside that room is not Good .
But in the picture in online hotell it looks perfect but its really big big different in real. Yeah its really cheap hotell.
Im sorry but i am really disappointed that i book that hotell for us .
We didnt finished our booking in that hotell because everything you Woke up in the morning you have a lot of insect bites .
There is a lot of little mosquitos inside the room.
Anyway, Im sorry to say this BUT please dont choose this hotell. Try look for another one.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Monkey menace, came to attack me. I ran and had a fall backwards. Luckily nothing major mishap. Packed our bags and left.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Room was perfect. Breakfast (optional) was cheap and huge.
- Birgitt (10/5): - We had a great time staying at Vikri Beach Resort. Muths, Vjay and his wife were outstanding. It felt like being with family. East Indian food was amazing and the beach is right across the street. We loved to watch the monkeys and feeding the hornbills. Walking down town to the restaurants and food stalls was safe and short.
- Divya (8/5): Budget hotel with great location! - Budget location very close to Pasir Bogak and right across from the beach. Very friendly owner, he helped arrange a motorbike and offered suggestions of places to eat etc.
10 min drive from Teluk Nipah beach which is busier and more touristy.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Owner mesra..bilek ok..selesa..
- Lim (4/5): - room air-cont no good & wardrobe damage , window can't open it ,
- Verified traveler (8/5): Memuaskan - Family room besar, toilet besar, hall besar, ada extra tilam, 4 towel, 4 berus gigi, 4 gelas tp 2 set je coffee and tea walaubagaimanapun boleh mintak extra. Tv limited channel, jam 1pg- 8am hanya ada radio saja.
Lokasi 50m dr pantai pasir bagok, melintas jalan saja tp air pantai agak kotor, 10min berjalan kaki ke tempat makan, berjauhan dengan bandar dan coral beach, jika sewa motor lebih baik
Overall baik, kee it up kerana masih mengekalkan sifat semula jadi...hati2 ya monyet ada di persekitaran dan malam2 ada babi hutan 😋
- Verughese (10/5): - Excellent
- Anand (10/5): - The hosts are so friendly and helpful. Their food is excellent. I would definitely recommend to others and come back again.
- TaloneM (10/5): - Superb property for a short holiday. Environment is excellent. Beach is just across the road.
Room is clean. Worth every penny.
Will return to this property during next trip
- Davide (8/5): - Nice and available staff, in front of the beach, wide dinner open areas.
- Iggy (10/5): - It was good, but with some caveats:
1. No TV channels and no TV remote.
2. No coffee or tea in the room - but kettle was there!
People were very nice and went out of their way to cook for us even though we were only two of us.
If they fix the TV and the coffee, it is definitely a great bargain.
- Mohammad Farish (8/5): Good - Good quality of service.
- Goban (8/5): - Conveniently located next to the beach and in quiet and peaceful surroundings; surrounded by tall shady trees and with spacious compound for games and activities. Home cooked food available in kitchen. Best towels ever in rooms.
- Hans-Olof (10/5): - Trevlig och hjälpsam personal!
- Peter (8/5): Friendly hotel villas excellent location. - Villas, on beach side of Island, of varying size situated in a shady enclave adjoining the forests.Towels are supplied. Air conditioning good, beds a little soft, service of rooms on request. Sandy beach across the road. A quiet location except Saturday night when motor cyclists occasionally break the silence racing their bikes. The Villas are 3km from the jetty and town. Beach restaurants 10 min walk.
Breakfast at 15 RMB is a mix of continental, Indian and Malaysian,
Motor bikes 125cc can be hired, may be picked up at jetty , contact hotel.Roads in good condition for bikes.
The beach side of the Island is predominately Malay and many excellent food outlets at local prices. The Fishing industry takes most of the other side of the Island and is mainly Chinese. Plenty of fresh fish available at local restaurants.
Ferry from Lumut(mainland) to Pangkor is very regular 14RMB return and takes 30mins. The beach area is the second stop on the ferry not the fishing boat area.No taxis are available at the first stop.
Volley ball court, beach soccer, pool table, hand soccer available. The hotel only accepts cash for in house transactions.Enjoy your stay.
- azman (8/5): Nice hotel near to beach teluk nipah also not far - Good experince nice view beachbis near at hotel good food ok la for beginer
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice Location Near Beach - Was a good stay. Nice place around the beach.
Good and helpful staff.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Bed bugs! Beliggenhed okay men svært at finde.
- Zhi Hao (10/5): Nice scenery comfortable and enviormental friendly - After leaving the jetty we decided to go to the hotel by walking. It wasnt suggest cause the distance from jetty to hotel can be very far, best off is to rent a motorcycle to the hotel. We met someone on the way we got to the hotel who let us rent two motorcyle for our family.
At first I am worried that the hotel might not be notified by expedia cause the only information on the email from expedia is the hotel was booked. Don`t worry as the staff of Vikri hotel should be notified and you should be able to check in by 3pm.
We only stay for one day but the experience is pleasent. I really like the exterior of the hotel, huge glass window double up as a door really makes you feel relax. The hotel have free wifi(although not as fast as my data), all single terrace (don't need lift or stairs) and have heater, but the only problem is that the toilet flushing cap was gone (still able to flush) and that's all.
The enviorment of the hotel is also nice, huge and tall trees and near to the seaside. Few steps to the shore, you can see people swimming and fishing. The sea is opposite to the mainland which is nice as u can enjoy the vast ocean view, but the shore is abit short and the sand is not as fine, so we decided to travel upwards and was able to enjoy the beautiful sunset there.
It was a great experience as you can get near to the nature at this hotel I highly suggest people who wants to relax stay here, as most of the hotel was centralized to the city and not as natural as this.
- Sharon (10/5): Super nice chalets - We loved every minute of our stay. Great place for a group stay.
- Krishnaveni (8/5): Great place for family reunion - Great environment surrounded by beauty of Nature, a very close beach, no crowd and nice place to get the whole family together for the holidays.
- K (2/5): - We had been travelling around Asia for around 3 weeks and this was the worst hotel we had stayed in.
Upon arrival the owners were trying to get everyone to upgrade their rooms due to their standards rooms being a box.
The upgraded room was larger however had the following issues:-
Bedsheets had marks on them
Bathroom had little ventilation which had caused damp on both the walls and shower curtain, the door also had a hole it it from a previous lock fitting
The TV in the room did not work due to having the wrong plug fitting
There were ants in the room at all times, 30-40 at any given time
The breakfast is additional cost but a decent home cooked breakfast, water is overpriced. The sun loungers on tube beach are available for a price which seemed to change daily depending on the guys mood.
The wifi on the resort was also temperamental.
The location is good for the beach, other beaches, markets, the port and sightseeing points are easily reachable by taxi (never use the meters but decent price can be negotiated) or by hiring a scooter/moped which the hotel will help you with.
Overall we were disappointed with the hotel which needs some upgrade work.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - the cook is excellent!
- Heng Khei (6/5): Short trip for 2 day 1 night. - Overall satisfied with the stay. We stay only one night. The shower pressure was low cause the water very small. Anyway the beach just infront of the place, very convenient to let my kid to play over there. Need to bring toiletries and towel cause not provided.
- Jegan (8/5): Best place to stay in Pangkor - The stay was for 2 days & 1 night but probably the most relaxing vacation in a long time as the location was such. Facing the beach and the set up was cottage style. The staff were extremely warm, friendly, humble and helpful. Home cooked style food was awesome and the price was amazingly affordable. Will be part of my annual plan moving forward.
- HAMIZULHAZRIN (6/5): Not as Expected - I was shocked when I arrived at the hotel and saw the word "Carlsberg" under the signage. To me as a muslim, its actually not quite confortable staying at the resort. I need to go out looking for food concerninf the halal status, and my family having hard time to have a sleep when the resort playing out loud the music as if in a bar. Then, there was a boars looking for foods within the resort area.
Anyway, I think it was my mistake at the first place for not checking the resort. My recommendation for hotel.com and the resort, please put a sign such "None halal drink". It at least can give a hint for those like me.
- Jamal (6/5): Nice beach - The resort is facing the Pasir Bogak beach which is just across the street. Do take note that the beach is a public area and its not part of the resort (which I tought it was based on google map) Unfortunately only several rooms are facing the beach and the rest are way at the back of the resort. So choose carefully so that you will not be disappointed.
- ERLI KHAIRUNNISA (4/5): Unhappy. - The room (standard room) was uncomfortable.
The bed was like to broke.
The towel huh like 500 times had been washed, water-resistant and coarse.
The resort was not muslim friendly because there were pigs in the resort and they served beer.
Wi-Fi wasn't covered the whole resort.
Facilities bad, no mineral water provided.
Beach activities package offered by the resort was very expensive, we had paid RM250 (island hopping, snorkeling and 7 goggles rental for a boat) rather than only RM140 (free goggle rental for a boat) at SF Watersports (turn right when you went out from Vikri).
Sehr nette indische Betreiber!
- mohd (6/5): Bagus - Bagus dan selesa
- Verified traveler (2/5): This hotel very bad services - The customer services very poor and not very helpful and selfish and the prority it only for Indian. Please take note for Hotels. com always deduct from your credit card even the services not same as you needed. Please be aware with Hotels.com.
- Fatizah (6/5): pangkor - enjoying
- Barbie (2/5): Don't stay there... - After spending already two nights in Pangkor at different places I checked in at the Vikri Beach Resort (the only night I had pre-booked before coming to the island) and from the first moment on I was more than disappointed. The two nights before I spent at Nipah Beach in two different Resorts for half of the price and much nicer service and much better comfort. My room there was dirty (unhealthy) and thanx God that I brought my own ultralight sleeping bag - I was disgusted by the bed (be careful, you may get scabies). There was dust and mold everywhere, specially the bathroom was really bad. I am quite sure that the air-con needs also a good clean and I did not feel safe at all during the night - was there even any night guardian or any other kind of surveillance? The WiFi did not really work (due to troubles with the router) in the common areas and there was no connection at all in the room. The next place to get food was far away (the restaurant at the Resort was not open). Being honest, for being the only guest at the Resort the service was really terrible and the room was the worst I have ever stayed in during my trips through Malaysia.
- ooi peng soon (4/5): oklah - tv cannot change tunner.mosquitor cm in from washroom net was broken.
- Miki (6/5): Not that good room but nice atmosphere and staff - Maybe one of the best locations in Pulau Pangor. Resort area was clean and the public facilities were in good condotions. The cheapest room was in lousy condition. The toilet werent functioning and the shower only had cold water. They rented us a motorbike and other services like breakfast was great.
- jim (8/5): Cottages right at the beach and sea view - Resort consists of several double cottages with terrace all arranged in a half circle. In the middle of the place is a common bar/restaurant
Pros: beach just across street, scooter rental, good breakfast, offside village (even apes, hornbills often come near the resort)
Cons: with street sometimes noisy, offside village but some shops in 15 min walking distance
but scooter rental is anyway useful on pangkor ; -)
