• Ucab (6/5): The hive hostel in singapore review - The Hive Hostel in Singapore is usually where I stay whenever I visit and need a quick, budget-friendly place. Aside from the great location, the staff are also very friendly and the place is clean. There’s nothing I don’t like about the place itself. I just happened to have a bad experience during our stay. One of my friends had money stolen from her bag that was left on the bed. My Crocs also went missing when I left them just outside the shower. Since there are no CCTV cameras inside the rooms or in the bathroom area for privacy reasons, nothing could really be done about it. Lesson learned — it’s always best to keep your belongings inside the lockers they provide

• Daniela michelle (1/5): I will not recommend. Was not very good - The Location was good Everything was very dirty and most of of all the whole environment was bad. I did not like that were just pods in a room.

There was a bit of a mix up with pods, but she did everything she could to fix it and was really kind. I would stay again. Probably a little far for transport wise for switching lines to get there from airport

• Iain Flynn (8/5): Recommended and hassle free. - Laid back and hassle free. Generally a good place to stay for a capsule hotel. A bit warm at night, there was air con but maybe not quite powerful enough for 8 people.
• Thodoros (6/5): Disappointed - The actual capsule, bedding and linens were clean. The lockers were very small, so could only fit a small backpack. I had to leave my suitcase with the reception, except she was often gone, with noone attending the stuff. Also it seemed like random people who didn't stay at the hostel were hanging out at the common areas. If I was a female solo traveller I wouldn't feel really safe probably. Common spaces, bathroom etc weren't particularly clean also.

• Lauren (10/5): - The space pods are funky, super clean and comfy. Perfect location as the public transport in Singapore is spot on. Staff were nice and helpful. The air in the room is great but when you are sleeping with the blind on your pod closed it gets really hot and the fan doesn’t really ventilate well

• Liam (7/5): Good - The pod concept is much better than a regular hostel The hostel team could be better at communicating. For example, booking.com says you can’t check in past midnight, the hostel never accepted my request to check in after midnight, they wouldn’t answer my communications, and I turned up at 12:15am not knowing whether I’d be able to check in. As well, I found the fan in my pod was very faint, so I was quite hot all night.

The facilities however are different in main reception building and the one next to it, where the toilet and shower are quite old. Overall all good but, as it was not the cheapest hostel, the facilities could be better.

• Michael (9/5): Superb - I had a very late flight and arrived at the Hive about 02:30 Sunday morning. Although no staff was visible, my key was sitting the front desk with name attached. I quickly found my capsule and all went smoothly. In the morning, the coffee container was empty, however did get replenished a little later. Otherwise all was good

Pods are equipped with 3 different lights, adjustable air flow, big mirror, 3 points you can hang your belongings and curtain (lockable from inside). They were comfortable, clean and safe. Hostel had free tea and coffee all time. Free self-service laundry at evening. There was many tables and chairs where you could eat, drink and read at any time. Because of the location you can hear the traffic from the road.

After a demand via email they said if its an available room we could get it earlier. When we reach the hostel Yen gave us the keys for the check in immediately..👌😁

• Jonathan (10/5): It's worth a stay - It's my 3rd time to stay here and as usual the hotel staff are always accomodating. My bed is clean even underneath the mattress. Clean fresh sheets, pillows and towels. Free coffee all day. The staff are mostly women from the Philippines so cleanliness is highly assured . Will definitely stay again as I'm already comfortable and familiar with the area. Feels like home to me. This time they always ran out of shampoo and body wash but you can always ask for refills. I always bring my own toiletries. It's better to be prepared and have options.

• Joana (4/5): Cheap, dormitory vibes and for people who are not clean freaks - If you are on a budget and not conscious about having your own toilet and okay with sharing rooms. The staff is nice. They also sell cup noodles. There is no nearby convenience store but if you need one you need to walk a bit. It was not clean especially the toilet and shower. It was difficult to sleep because the pod or bed area was a bit stuffy.

• Boneratosairu (10/5): Exceptional - There's a common place where you can work. They have free coffee , water, and self-service laundry. Also, the capsule style has a little table for a laptop. It's also close to the train station and bus stop. I think going up to the top bunk bed creates noise, and I feel bad for those who are sleeping already. Also, the shower room near our room has no shampoo and soap so I have to go to the other building.
