Rex (10/5): Wonderful. - Breakfast was great, location is prime. The only thing not good, but definitely didn't affect the stay or our trading, was that the freezer didn't get cold enough and our ice melted, getting our for wet.

I was surprised to find quincy that they had a little continental breakfast in the lobby. Great value for the price. Rooms are small, but adequate for a night or two.

Margie (10/5): Great Inn in the heart of Ouray! - The location was right in the small town of Ouray. Close to shopping and restaurants. They provided easy check in. The free breakfast was a block away, an easy walk in the brisk morning air. The food was delicious! The room was clean and comfortable. A bit small compared to other rooms we had on ourc2 week roadtrip. But very adequate for a night's stay in such a beautiful place! We went to Twin Peaks Hot Springs for the day from there. Staff was very helpful. May be difficult for elderly or people with mobility as there are stairs throughout the facility.

Clean and warm and close to Main Street and a block walk in the snow to Mi Mexico for dinner. Plus breakfast in the morning. Luckily the roads were cleared of 18 inches of snow the next day

Breakfast was good coffee was great. Atmosphere is really nice. We had 2 adults and 1 preteen, the room is nice and cozy. Beds are really comfy. No cleaning during this week bc of Christmas but all we really needed was towels and they took our used ones and replaced with new within mins. The rooms are smaller than other hotels but it doesnt matter bc all we needed it for is showers and sleeping. If we ever come back again definitely staying here. Yes they have a washer and dryer to use quarters only.

The location in Ouray is gorgeous. Breakfast was included but it involved a short walk a block away to a restaurant. While Everything was pretty great, the room was very small for having a king size bed. It barely fit 2 people and our luggage.

For breakfast, my son was served uncooked eggs when he ordered over easy and my chorizo con huevos was only chorizo, not a damn egg on the plate. If not for this food experience, review for Matterhorn would likely be higher.

I went in later that day and asked if we could receive four instead for the following day. We were told no and they were adamant that we return the prior day coupons.

While very comfortable, the large bed took up most of the available floor space in the room, making it a little difficult to unpack our suitcases. It also made it a little difficult to open the cabinet in which the room’s refrigerator was stored.

I also wonder if indirect reservations (e.g., through Expedia) get less desirable rooms. Our room was down a dark exterior hallway and our view was of the hallway wall. Just about every other room at the hotel had great views of the surrounding mountains. That was very disappointing given that we reserved it over a month in advance.

It was quiet, the rooms were clean and well appointed, and there were plenty of great restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. The only thing I think prospective visitors need to know is that while it is a resort town, it looked like there was only one bar open past 10pm. All the other shops/restaurants close around 9pm or so. Other than that, the stay was amazing and the mountain views were absolutely stunning!
