The staff were fantastic, especially Elisabete, who gave us a wonderful introductory tour upon arrival. Our studio was spotless, airy, and incredibly spacious. Relaxing outside during the day and night was absolute bliss, offering total peace and tranquility. Having lunch and drinks on the roof terrace was a major highlight, and the amazing pool was perfect for cooling off in the warm weather. Additionally, the town of Cabanas is highly accessible; you can reach it via a lovely walk down a quiet backroad, on the complimentary bicycles provided by the complex, or via a quick Uber ride. N/a

• Martine (9/5): Endroit magique par son environnement - La quinta est au milieu des orangers, le jardin potager est magnifique. Le petit déjeuner est délicieux . Très belle piscine et prêt de vélos ce qui est un plus Si le vent est mal orienté on entend les voitures, mais c’est un détail . La décoration de la chambre manque de chaleur. Le rapport qualité prix n’est pas bon en comparaison de tous les logements que nous avons faits au Portugal.

Great access to nearby restaurants if you drive! Secure access! Sadly very overpriced compared to the other higher quality properties in the area. Rates should consider noise of road/trains and level of service is good but not excellent which is what you’d expect at the rates charged!! Rooms small and not sound proof so depends on luck with other guests.

It’s not in a busy area, and although it’s a bit of a walk to get to the beach, we actually enjoyed it—it was nice to have a good stroll. The room wasn’t as big as I expected, but in the end it didn’t bother us at all. Overall, we had a really lovely and relaxing stay.

Der Pool ist wirklich einzigartig. Man kann ebenfalls kostenlos Fahrräder ausleihen. Die Anlage ist etwas abgelegen, man braucht immer ein Auto oder die Fahrräder um in die Stadt oder an den Strand zu gelangen.

• Martin (9/5): A great, relaxing weekend - A very relaxing long weekend at Quinta Dos Perfumes, after a week of walking up and down (felt like mostly up!) hills in Porto and Lisbon this was a welcome rest. The staff is lovely, the hotel is modern and comfortable. As other reviews note, there is an occasional train passing, but our room was probably closest to the track and we were not disturbed. The local village was a 20 minute walk and had a good selection of restaurants (Wild Thing was the best, don’t be put off by the name, but do be prepared to pay cash), and a nice beach accessible by boat for 1.5€ Nothing, all was good

• Warren (10/5): A hidden gem for a peace holiday - From the moment we arrived we were treated like we were the most important guests in the world. Elizabete was exceptional - very friendly, helpful and willing to go the extra mile to make our short stay as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. From storing our bags while we went exploring (we arrived early) to arranging an earlier than normal breakfast for us on our day of departure (due to an early flight) - nothing was too much trouble. Nestled amongst a beautiful orange orchard, the rooms are perfectly formed, the swimming pool secluded and glorious, and the location quiet and peaceful. A true gem! Nothing.
• Emily (10/5): Tranquil little slice of heaven! - We spent 4 nights at Quinta dos Perfumes travelling as a same-sex couple. The staff were so lovely and welcoming and the accommodation was well-kept and comfortable. The hotel is set in beautiful orange groves, with breakfast overlooking the garden. Room was comfortable with good AC. Water available for guests in the lounge. The pool was a good size and set amongst the trees. The hotel is just back from the main road into Cabanas. They also hired out bikes for free, so you can cycle into the village to visit the beach or restaurants, which was excellent.

The location is a little out of the way, but we rode into cabanas a couple of times on the bikes provided. Also was an easy walk. After a few nights we realised it was very easy to get an Uber back too. A couple of people mentioned train and road noise, this wasn’t an issue at all, we barely noticed. • Charles (10/5): - This is a very pleasant and attractive property out in the country. Rooms are large and clean, showers and AC are efficient. The TV is good, they provide drinking water. Pool is very nice, not heated. There are areas to sit, relax and take in the natural surroundings. If you just want to chill out, this place is excellent. The town of Canales is a kilometer or so away down a dirt road. It is lively, with lots of restaurants and bars and a boardwalk on the shoreline. There are ice cream and gift stores and a couple of grocery stores. It is a typical beach town. The staff is competent and accommodating. I think they are a bit over-worked and on one occasion seemed a bit curt, telling me to use the website for information rather than providing a breakdown of the bicycles/ laundry services. One caveat: If you don’t have a car, getting food and going out will require a hike into town. I don’t know if there are ride services. At night the road is very dark and it is basically one lane so you ned to be alert. Tavira is a few kilometers away so not really an option without a car unless you get a ride. The breakfast is good and there is lots of parking.

The countryside setting is peaceful and idyllic, surrounded by beautiful orange groves, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing holiday. The hotel is ideally located, only a 20-minute walk or 10-minute bike ride from Cabanas, where you can find a selection of great restaurants, a fantastic beach on the island, and easy access to Tavira. It’s also only a 20-minute walk to Conceição train station if you wish to visit other areas further afield without hiring a car. The local Ubers are very reasonable and reliable too. The highlight of our stay was the exceptional service provided by the staff and the delicious homemade cakes. The reception team and the cleaners were all so friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble. Special thanks to Sergio, Elizabete, and Anna—you truly made our stay memorable! We’d also like to thank the adorable French bulldog, Diogo. He was such a delightful part of the experience, and we loved giving him extra pats and tummy rubs. The rooms are lovely, with crisp white bed linen and minimalist Scandi-style décor with light oak furniture and fittings. Large sliding windows allow an abundance of natural light and a seamless connection with the outdoors, providing picturesque views of the surrounding orange groves. The staff was amazing the staff surprised me with a beautiful spread for my birthday to celebrate and greeted me with happy birthday wishes. It was the best stay on my trip! The staff was very helpful and extremely friendly. We were always surrounded by nature in the midst of the orange orchard, and could enjoy the tranquil saltwater swimming pool, rooftop and sun lounges. Finally, the breakfast was delicious. • Henry (10/5): Cabana experience - A great stay in excellent accommodation and lovely surroundings, outside of town but well worth it. Staff were very friendly and informative 10 out of 10 Would definitely stay there again

• Pedro (9/5): Superb - The whole property is very charming, in the middle of an orange grove. The swimming pool site is amazing, surrounded by Orange trees... wonderful and relaxing! The room was not huge, but it was still very ok and cute for a couple, with a little exterior space facing the garden. The bathroom is very nice and spacious.

• Adnan (10/5): Amazingly welcoming staff and property - The staff is amazing, they did everything that could make our stay comfortable, the property is quite amazing and is close enough to get different beaches .. There was a miss from the staff in cleaning the room, however the manager and director on duty made up for this immediately when notified.
• Suzanne (9/5): Peaceful and tranquil environment with friendly staff. - The staff were polite, friendly and very helpful. The hotel was very tranquil and peaceful which was great at the end of a month touring and walking Portugal and Spain. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We loved the view from our room, with the garden and the ocean in the background. The rooftop area was a lovely place to sit with a book, have a drink, and enjoy the room (and the sun!) The train line so close - even though trains were infrequent, on one of the 2 nights we stayed, a train went past at about 4.30am.
