The property is in a beautiful small town overlooking Aviano. The family gave me wonderful recommendations regarding towns to visit and activities to help me experience real Italy (vs. tourist Italy). I loved visiting Sacile and doing a bit of hiking and panoramic views in Piancavallo. Gracie Mille!!

• 462lux (8/5): Stayed here many times the last two years - We have family in Sacile and try to visit every couple months. With Covid this has been difficult but possible. Policreti is the only place in the area that is reliably open. We find the staff friendly. The hotel is very clean.

• jillm316 (10/5): My lovely home in Aviano - This hotel is a beautiful restored Villa and I am always happy to return. The ladies at the front desk are so nice and take very good care of me. The restaurants is delicious but you should know it is closed on Mondays. Because of this, the hotel is very good to order takeout and delivery from a local restaurant. If you are traveling anywhere in the region I would highly recommend this lovely hotel. I would highly recommend the massage. The therapist is fabulous! I will be back!

• jillm316 (10/5): Another wonderful stay - I travel here on business several times a year and this hotel never fails to disappoint me. Not only do they remember me, they will go out of their way to accommodate me if I arrive a little early or need a meal at an opportune time. The staff is wonderful. Cristina is just delightful in the restaurant and Melissa and Maria go out of their way as well. If you are in this area don’t make the mistake of staying anywhere else. Prices are good, rooms are overly large and well appointed, and the restaurant is delicious. For this Texan, it really is a home away from home.

When we entered,we saw decorations that makes you feel at home..The decoration of the tables was unique.Kind staff always careful not to miss anything at the table..The menu was rich with many good things.. Se really spent a nice evening. A 10 to all staff because if it deserve.for all the service they did to the whole evening.. I Will always come back to such a beautiful place. • 786charlottec (10/5): Wonderful property off the beaten path - I was visiting family in the Aviano area and stayed here for five nights. What a find! The staff was friendly and helpful and the property itself is beautiful. It's right in a small village on the outskirts of Aviano and gives you an authentic Italian experience. I felt completely safe as a solo traveler and found Villa Policreti comfortable and cozy. I would definitely choose to stay here again!
• Sarahwinfield (8/5): The tree was planted in 800 and the Bike Rentals are free. - We placed a last minute reservation at the Hotel Villa Policreti, unfortunately we didn't do our research before booking, so we weren't able to enjoy the restaurant as it was closed. However, we did have a beautiful room on the ground floor. The room was comfortable and inviting. The bed linens were warm and cozy. Our room opened up on to a lawn and there was 'The Tree'. I was immediately impressed with the tree and proceeded to take several pictures. Only later did I find out that the tree was planted in 800. Now that's an old tree. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. Lots of choices and plenty of food. The coffee was terrible but that's okay. The only negative about the stay was that the hotel is located on the main road through town; it's a bit noisy in the early morning. If you like to ride bikes, take advantage of the free bicycles and cruise into town. So much fun. I would stay again in a heartbeat.
• Carly (8/5): March 2017 - This hotel villa is undeniably beautiful. It's backdrop (in March) was snowcapped mountains and the view of the Italian countryside is also spectacular. The rooms have wooden beams and other staples of Italian architecture. The bathrooms have heated towel racks and the breakfast is extensive and very tasty. The only thing I didn't like was the presence of several stink bugs and lady bugs in my room. I suppose that is to be expected though, with being in the Italian countryside on a warm March day with the window open.

• Seth (10/5): - We came in the off season so not too many other guests. Hotel staff was very accommodating. Pet friendly place with some room for the dogs to walk outside.
• ronnies342 (8/5): Fantastic meal - We stayed for one night and our room and bathroom was of good size, comfortable and we'll equipped for an over night stay. Situated in a quiet location of a golf course with views over the green landscape. Our highlight was eating outside of the restaurant, our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. The carbonara and chocolate pana cotta was exquisite and will be a lasting memory on our taste buds. Breakfast at the hotel had a wide variety and the bread rolls and pastries were fresh. Extremely friendly staff work for this hotel.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful views, rooms a bit tight - Beautiful views from part way up the mountain. A converted villa, my room was nice, but a bit crampt. When we got there, there was a huge party (wedding reception?) going on, but the rooms were quiet enough to sleep well.
• LandofHopesandDreams (10/5): Lovely, Relaxing, Enjoyable Hotel - Every great hotel experience begins with the staff and this hotel has that. They treat you like a long lost relative or old friend. The connection is immediate and you feel like you are part of their family. The rooms were clean and nicely appointed. The bathroom was immaculate with a larger than normal Italian shower. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of counter space to work. My only disappointment was the carpeting the hallways - very old and stained. For such a nice hotel, I would think this would be an inexpensive upgrade. The restaurant was OK. I truly wish it was better. The service was great, but the quality of the food served was average. They have a wonderful breakfast in the morning and a delightful breakfast room to enjoy your meal. This will be my hotel of choice for future visits to Aviano!

Breakfast was buffet and included two hot beverages, the cappuccino and latte macchiato were perfect. Enjoyed dinner one night on site and the presentation was beautiful. The owner is very engaged in the hotel and friendly, she has a wonderful staff. Room had a view of the ancient tree on the property. Front desk were helpful with making phone calls in Italian. Inside joke, we finally found the car!
• 549keithv (10/5): The most memorable meal we have ever had, and we've had a few between us! - We had the best first night meal you could imagine, despite there being a big function on upstairs, the attention they gave us was second to none! Nothing was too much trouble and if anything I think our little group of four must have had the best waiter service we have ever had anywhere! The hotel was also well placed for our needs, in lovely grounds in a little village and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. It is a bit near to an American air base, but the noise was far enough in the distance not to really matter and it was a bit like having Top Gun playing in the background a couple of times - a free Air Show!

• Patricia5000 (8/5): Quiet and Relaxing - This hotel was by far the biggest room we had, in our 4 hotels in Italy. The area is quiet,with beautiful grounds, no shopping/services within walking distance Staff in the hotel were very friendly, food in the restaurant was great. The restaurant staff were excellent, very friendly, teaching us on how to buy the best Prosecco,presentation of food was great and tasted good. The air conditioning worked well, we heard no noise from the air jets. Wifi was not working when we arrived, but it did get fixed, although every time you closed your computer you would have to log in again. Lighting in the room was not good, no bar fridge and no laundry service. As this hotel is right on the golf course, would recommend to stay and play. As mentioned earlier, you have to drive to everything, except golf and one restaurant at the hotel.
• KiraM913 (10/5): Excellent, not perfect. - I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews but noticed that most were several years old, so decided to give it a try. I am very pleased! I love old buildings and charm and have no interest in the more modern and plain stuff out there. The buildings are very old and the grounds are wonderful. If you are a golfer, the course is about 50-100m from the hotel front door. I don't golf so I can't review the course. The hotel has very clearly been updated since most reviews were written. My room was clean and modernized but still in keeping with the age and style of the building. The AC worked great, I'm here now and it is over 90 outside and I am cool in my room. The linens are comfortable, as is the bed. My single room is small, but not hotel-in-Paris small, and there is a little sort-of closet. Soundproofing is excellent as I haven't heard a peep while in my room. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was plentiful. I think that the only complaint that I have, and I feel like a spoiled American for even mentioning it, is that there is no mini- fridge. I would love to sit on the grounds with my friends and a cold bottle of prosecco and enjoy the evening but there was no way to keep my drinks cold! I solved this with a bag of ice and a styrofoam cooler and while it was an extra small expense and inelegant it served the purpose! I highly recommend this choice if you can appreciate updated European without perfection. You won't be sorry!
• 487ulyssest (8/5): The Taormina Review, Taste the North - The hotel itself gives you the real taste of European Italian styles, not a fancy hotel if that's what you're looking for. But the staff is well traine, very professional, and polite. The restaurant is a little pricey but well worth it the price. The location is a plus it's right south of Germany very close to the northern part of Italy and only 5 hours to Rome
• DanaLuxembourg (6/5): Normal - Despite the location close to Aviano US base there is a good sound proofing, so I could sleep very well. Instead, the single rooms were extremely small. For me was not such a problem, but my colleague who is 1,8 m heigh had some difficulties to circulate in the room and to fit in the bed...and the price was too high for this (115 euro/single). The reception is nice and we had a welcome glass of Prosecco. This is a hotel dedicated to golf lovers as it features a golf course. But I wonder how these guys can play with all the airjets flying over their heads? We did not have dinner, although the menu for the dinner was appetizing. The breakfast was nice, but not very varied.
• callmeishmael (8/5): Combined review for the hotel and restaurant - Don't see a separate entry for the restaurant, so combining the review for both. As for the hotel, the grounds are spectacular, but the rooms are quite rustic. You also have to drag your bags through their gravel to get to the lobby, so they definitely need to do some paving. I couldn't figure out how to use the AC so slept in sweltering heat. Young girls working the reception in the lobby were very pleasant and spoke good English. The hotel was in my view very average. As for the restaurant, I thought it was pretty good. We had a variety of seafood dishes prepared by the chef and all were tasty and good. I definitely recommend the restaurant. Next time I will stay somewhere else and just eat at the restaurant.
• KathyDeLand (8/5): A wonderful discovery! - This hotel is actually just outside of Aviano, Italy. Although we have been to Aviano numerous times over the years, we did not know about it. It's a beautiful villa, dating from the 1500's. There is an 18 hole golf course which is beautiful with the mountains as a backdrop and it was in very good shape. I'd recommend a cart because of the back 7 holes being a little hilly. The restaurant was great and I had the best piece of beef I have ever had in Italy, a filet mignon. The only complaint we have is that the hotel staff did not seem very interested in us, sometimes talking to each other instead of attending to us standing right there. The restaurant and bar staff were great.
• lauraa486 (4/5): Disappointed - Carpets are stained and worn; rooms hot; breakfast really bad, especially the coffee. Every other place we stayed in Italy was great, so this was a huge disappointment. Hotel should spend some money on maintenance, air conditioning, and breakfast. Staff was friendly, room clean, and dinners exceptional. Wouldn't recommend to a friend unless changes are made.
