The room and bathroom were spacious, everything was clean, staff was very friendly and accommodating, and they offer complimentary self-service laundry. We liked the location as it was only 10 minutes from the airport and offered a terrific view. We hope to be able to visit again!

Patty greeted us at the front desk, and made us so comfortable. She had great recommendations for activities around Jackson hole and the Teton national park. We stayed one night in the in an upstairs room and found it so very pleasant that we our reservation in Idaho Falls for the next night and rebooked here! We couldn’t stay in the same room so we stayed downstairs and that room equally wonderful! We will absolutely recommend elk refuge into all of our friends to come to the Yellowstone grand Teton area
- conk2013 (8/5): Great location - Great location, near GTNP and Jackson. The room was very large with fridge, kitchen sink, microwave, and table. The staff was very helpful. There is a free laundry including detergent and dryer sheets. If you like a soft bed you will love the one in 205. Would be nice to have a second comfortable chair. We were a week late for the animals to be out our balcony.

When they say, every room has a view, they mean it. The mountains and field were a sight to behold on a snowy evening and morning. Hands down one of my favorite stays on our cross country trek. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend!

I slept super good, the bed is so comfy pillows awesome and staff very friendly. Although you are in the main road to the Grand Tetons once it gets dark the road noise goes away. We will be back for sure!

The rooms are consistently very clean, quiet, and budget-friendly, which makes it an easy choice for us whenever we’re in the area. One of the things we really appreciate is that many of the rooms include kitchens or kitchenettes, since we enjoy preparing our own meals while traveling. It adds a level of comfort and convenience that’s hard to beat. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, and check-in is a breeze every time. The location is also perfect—situated between Jackson and Grand Teton National Park, with great views and a peaceful atmosphere. During certain months, there’s even abundant wildlife right nearby, which makes the stay feel extra special. There’s also a paved trail just across the road that leads into Jackson and toward the park, which is a great bonus for walking or biking. Overall, it’s a perfect spot for a quiet and comfortable stay. We’ll definitely continue coming back!

The room was big and spacious, the bathroom was separated by the kitchenette which was nice. I could get up early get dressed and it not bother my husband sleeping. Coffee on the balcony was nice. Highly recommend! We will stay there again the next time in Jackson Hole.

We will definitely stay here again when we come through Jackson. The accpmodations included 2 beds with plenty of pillows; nice bath towels; go-cups for the 6 Keurigs of coffee; a large variety of teas; real creamers; hard plastic drinking glasses, ceramic coffee cups; 4 wine glasses; recycling and regular trash cans. There was a sewing kit and several makeup removal cloths. Complimentary guest laundry was available. The fridge was big for a hotel room. There was a microwave. All in all, it had all the amenities of a hotel costing twice as much or more. And outside were chairs so youcould watch the elk in the refuge across the street. Mule deer were grazing at the end of the building. The view was remarkable. Highly recommended!

Spacious and has everything you need incase you forgot something. Let us store our luggage till it was time to depart to enjoy our day comfortably. Its about 1.5 miles from town. Uber or Lyft are good to take price about 12-14 per trip. Great view!! Highly recommend hotel

My sister and I came up to grand Teton for a couple days and this place was located 10 min from Jackson air port and 10 min from the park. The little details made a huge impact on our experience. - garygiuliano50 (10/5): Great winter escape - Just stayed at the Elk Refuge Inm for our fourth time. We have tried several other properties in Jackson and have stayed at the Grand Teton Lodge a couple times. The Elk Refuge Inn beats them all. The rooms are always clean and spacious and the amenities are a perfect match h for us. O highly doubt we will stay anywhere else on future trips. The overall value is unmatched.

The rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet, and the location is perfect close to town with beautiful views of the elk refuge. A special thank you to Patty, who made our stay extra special. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful, and truly went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Her hospitality made us feel right at home. - pwtd2026 (10/5): Lovely and delightful! What a pleasure it was to stay at the Elk Refuge Inn - Very warm and friendly. Convenient late arrival check-in was online and easy. The room was very clean, sanitized, complete with all the necessities. Clearly being environmentally kind was a huge plus. The view was lovely from the multi-pane sliding glass door which opened to the private balcony facing the National Elk Refuge. Amazing! Every morning before sunrise I awoke and brewed a hot cup of coffee to sip on the balcony. The views were blissful. I had a perfect view of the sunrise each morning over the mountains which lay behind the refuge. This made every morning feel fresh and new. Of course each day, we'd head out to view the scenery and watch the abundant wildlife. We saw vast elk herds, many mountain goats, moose, bald eagles, trumpeter swans. One late afternoon the snow began to fall and we watched the moose rise from their naps in the snow to begin browsing. These were magical experiences. The snowfall changed the lighting, added drama to the landscape enhancing it's beauty. It was a gorgeous winter scene and so we were in awe. All the memories combined, that is the gestalt of the place, will stick with me forever. The ambience of and the location of the Elk Refuge Inn enabled us to immerse ourselves in this destination. Walking, hiking was easy enough. With the snowy, icy conditions of the roads, driving was still perfectly doable in an appropriately equipped vehicle. The Elk Refuge Inn was super prompt in shoveling the walkways, clearing the parking area and always attentive. Yes, I would definitely recommend the Elk Refuge Inn. Given the rate of flu and covid infections plaguing our country at this time, we were very at ease with how this inn managed the rooms keeping them sanitized and clean. The bathroom and shower were fine. The kitchenette was a delight to have available. They stocked all the essentials for cooking and serving food. A nice refrigerator, cooktop, large sink, were very welcomed. They also provided a delightful selection of coffees, teas, hot cocoa, spiced tea and condiments. These were particularly enjoyed first thing in the morning and upon returning from being outside all day in the winter conditions. The staff was very helpful with restaurant recommendations based on our interest at the time. Always friendly, always professional, always attentive. Yes, the Elk Refuge Inn's overall attention and care for the environment and the wildlife that make that region home added to the enjoyment of our stay.
- jenmiddleb (10/5): Clean, Efficient, Great Location! - We stayed in a ground floor Queen room with a kitchen for a week. It was perfect for the two of us. We were able to make breakfast each morning. We appreciated daily room cleaning. And they have a free laundry which we did not use but did not realize until we got here. Location was perfect for exploring the parks or going to downtown. There was some road noise but it did not bother us.

Kitchen area is very nice with everything you need to stay in and cook. Big TV with preloaded streaming services. Comfortable beds and bedding. The view from the balcony can't be beat. Front desk help was more than welcoming was a wealth of information on road closures and a great place to eat. Only 5 minutes from Teton park. Would recommend. Will stay again.

- A1537HOlaurier (4/5): Rodent in room! - Rodent in room! We were scheduled to stay at the Elk Refuge Inn for five nights, however, we had to check out a day early because a rodent was in our room! My sister woke up in the middle of the night because she heard a noise. She discovered a mouse attempting to access a sealed cellophane bag in my suitcase. We also found rodent droppings on one of the bed covers and were unable to sleep during the remainder of the night. The rodent was also observed running around the room in the morning. We immediately packed out suitcases and checked out of our room. We have stayed in many hotels as well as rustic cabins in several other National Park and other remote areas but have never encountered this type of problem. The view from our room was lovely, however, seeing a rodent in the room was ruined our stay. We feel that at least one of the nights should have been comped because of the incident and the fact that we were unable to get any sleep.

- elkcountryhomes (10/5): Fantastic Apartment With Views of National Elk Refuge - Excellent stay! Room #100 has a kitchen with range, microwave and full-sized refrigerator with freezer plus a dining table. I was able to easily prepare a Thanksgiving holiday meal for four adults and we sat around visiting afterwards visiting, then went for a beautiful walk after our meal. Excellent multi-day getaway and the staff were extremely friendly and competent. American 🇺🇸 family owned. I mentioned that we would be doing some decorating for the holiday and they were totally fine with that, even stopping by to wish us a Happy Thanksgiving and gifted us a bottle of Martinelli’s, which was extremely thoughtful, delicious and much appreciated! They brought us an additional chair which was excellent, making it easier for the four of us to sit around the dining table. The range is a smooth top electric and I baked a cake along with two pies, stuffed mushrooms, smoked pork chops and roasted a turkey breast. If you want to replicate what I have done just plan ahead and pack your necessary supplies. I brought an instant pot plus a triple warming buffet server to keep things warm for our holiday dinner with friends. The bathroom has a jetted tub, so if you get a chance for a relaxing bath it’s there for you! Since the last time we stayed the furniture in the living room is new. The fireplace is equipped with LED candles which add a nice ambiance. The living room, bedroom and bathroom are independently climate controlled with electric baseboard heating. Our wedding anniversary actually fell on Thanksgiving this year so we had a local massage therapist come to the apartment and set up in the bedroom area for back-to-back massages - our stress relieving gifts to ourselves. (Stevie with Bliss Bodywork) Not our first time staying in this apartment and we will be back again!

- Melinda (8/5): Well worth the money but be sure and ask about room placement - Mandy was exceptional! So very helpful and friendly. Very courteous. She helped out when the timer shut our lights off. The bed was comfortable and the whole atmosphere was great for a mountain town. Great linens. I guess I could have asked for a different room when it became evident that anyone going up and down the stair case was making a lot of noise. I did have to ask one guy to keep it down as he was standing at the top of the stairs with a bottle of booze in one hand and talking loudly. the other thing I didn't really like was the limited TV channels available as we had to use ROKU live. We ended up logging into our own ESPN and HULU accounts.

- joelcG2733UV (10/5): Perfect in every way! - My family and I are on a multi state road trip through the west northwest and we were headed back toward Alabama Friday evening when we saw this little place with the vacancy light on. We stopped and got a room, and I liked it so much that we stayed an extra day here, just because the hotel was so nice. I wish I could spend a week here. The view is amazing and the balcony is perfect. Rate it 10/10!!!

The son did everything he could, though. We counted on the advertised laundry area, thinking they would have at least 2 machines and 2 dryers. A small washer and dryer were a disappointment. Had to find a laundromat ☹️

Very accommodating- Geo at the front desk was great. Adry - housekeeping was great once I put my request in Spanish- easy enough. Free laundry detergent and softener. The facilities there were exceptionally clean. Probably the best I’ve seen at a motel.

- luvtravel88 (10/5): Nice Stay at this Hotel - We really liked this hotel and loved the room we had. It was a one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen, sitting area and a separate bedroom with a nice bathroom. It had an entry foyer and 2 entry doors, although we were asked to only use one of them. The hotel faces the main street and is across from an Elk Refuge. The street was very noisy and we were a bit concerned that traffic noise would affect our sleep. There are even ear plugs in the bathroom just in case. We found that we didn't have any trouble with noise at all. We did mostly close the bedroom door and that may have helped. The office staff was lovely and easy to work with. There is a free laundry available onsite and includes soap and dryer sheets. We wished we had more time to do a load of clothes! My only criticism of our stay is that our room was at the end of the property and sits out a bit from the rest of the hotel. The office is not easily marked and we had 2 different people come to the front door and try the door, thinking it was the office. It would be good to have better signage telling where the office is. My other criticism is along the same line. There are beautiful glass windows in the front doors, however you can see into the room if you bend down to look inside and there is no way to cover the windows over. This made us a bit uncomfortable particularly after dark. We were very careful not to leave the bedroom unless we were fully dressed. The windows are beautiful, but maybe putting some kind of coating on the inside of the glass would not allow others to be able to see in.

- Roberta (7/5): Great location to town. - The bed was very comfortable. The staff was great! The road noise was a bit bad at times, but the A/C was loud, and the low/high setting was the same. One temp and loud. Worse than the road noise but necessary with the warmer temps. All of the A/C's should be changed to something newer and more environmentally friendly. Also when the A/C was on you couldn't sit on the patio. Just a suggestion, but split units installed from the back of the units would be more quiet, efficient and patio enjoyment much nicer.

I know it's their busy season but the rug was gross, maybe remove It from the eating area. so when it rains you dont have to walk on a rug and have a boot mat to put the wet shoes.
- Pulsinator7 (10/5): A Perfect Gem - The Elk Refuge Inn is a gem. Perfectly situated close to town yet with enough distance for some peace and quiet. And the tremendous view of the Elk Refuge. I’ve stayed here several times before and love it. The hotel is very, very clean and well organized. The check in and out process is super easy. And everything is just nice. I stayed on the top floor and parking my car in front of the room is very convenient. I’m looking forward to my next visit.
