- Kaing Cheng (8/5): - Location was good and plenty of shops around the area. Not able to get Grabcar to pick up there as there are local tuktuks around. Room seem a little old. Aircon was weak and the balcony door doesn't close properly.
- JCHALMERS17 (6/5): Check the room you booked to what you are allocated - They gave us a much lower grade room to what we booked, was very poor. We complained and they moved us the next day to the room we paid for! Take my advice don’t accept a room across the road, they are awful !!! Tbh the next room was lovely and breakfast was excellent If we had been given the right room.. no complaints
- James (8/5): Everything was good except for water pressure - Hotel is in a good location within walking distance of Ao Nang night market, Main Street shops. King bed was very comfortable. Air conditioning worked well. Breakfast options were good. Shower & tap pressure could be improved. Swimming pools were clean. Room service excellent. Checkin/Checkout efficient. I would stay at this Hotel again.
- Vanessa (6/5): - Our stay was bitter sweet. The room is spacious, pretty comfortable with a nice balcony overlooking the pool. but the bathroom is outdated and could really be renovated. It gave the feeling that it wasn’t super clean, (everything is rusted) even the soap and shampoo dispenser was rusted. One night out of nowhere at 11pm we were woken up by the sink’s pipe who exploded and our entire bathroom was flooded. They were very responsive and fixed it quickly but no excuses or comments were made regarding the incident. It would’ve been nice that they made a small gesture or at least aknowledge that this was not a fun situation to be in and apologize! Instead they acted like it was normal which really annoyed us. Other than that the location is good, walkable to all the main points. But I wouldn’t stay there again and wouldn’t recommend that hotel to anyone I know.

- ANDRE (8/5): Bom custo benefício ! - O quarto é espaçoso e tem uma cama confortável . Para quem tem criança a piscina tem uma área kids bem legal com tobogã . O café da manhã tem ovos feito na hora , frutas, iogurte, pães , geleias , saladas e comidas. Tem mercado , restaurante, massagem, tudo proximo.

Very good breakfast served, polite and courteous staff who couldn’t do enough for you. Aircon run quiet at night so sleeping was a problem. We had a city view where noise could be heard but not a big problem to us. We would recommend this place to stay with hesitation.

Room (opposite the main building) nice, very spacious, clean, all functional, wifi worked fine too. Location allows for a quiet sleep, but is also just a short walk from Noppharat Thara beach and Ao Nang beach/shopping/dining.

- Laura (10/5): - Property is very nice and it at a convenient location to walk to the city center and there was a 7eleven and various dining options nearby. The staff was very nice and polite. The breakfast was very nice and had variety of option raging from western to local breakfast, and it was good. Unfortunately we didn't have time to use the pool and the slide, but it seemed very nice. Our room was very nice, spacious and comfortable. The only issues were that the water from the shower wasn't heating, but they sent someone right away and they fixed it. And we had to stay one more night and we spoke to front desk and reserved it online again, however we were moved to another room that was a little worse than the previous one and a little inconvenient.

- Janaki (10/5): - O café da manhã é excelente e muito farto, mas para a nossa condição de vegetarianos ficou a desejar, de qualquer forma o funcionário Wat se sensibilizou com a nossa situação e providenciou um prato quente durante toda a nossa estadia. Chá geladinho de boas vindas foi um mimo. Piscinas muito boas. O que não gostamos foi que não havia funcionários que nos conduzisse nos ajudando com as bagagens e a porta do quarto estava com problemas para abrir, mas nada demais. Roupas de camas limpas, porém desgastadas e com buracos. Voltaríamos a nos hospedar nesta propriedade.
- Stephen (4/5): - A disappointing experience. Took a suite with jacuzzi. Thought it might be nice. shower head plugged, dismal buffet with many empty dishes 2 hours before the breakfast was over. Thai omelet was nothing more than plain eggs. Air conditioning was inadequate for the size of the suite and of course it turns off when you leave the room. The tap water is brown. At no fault of the hotel there is a large foul black water canal that is basically an open sewer. This could be smelt in the hotel. When we checked out they said.. “everything is ok” meaning we didn’t destroy or steal anything. How about “How was your stay?”. ….felt like we were leaving a police station. It’s a good hotel for Muslim guests as there is no bacon or ham only processed chicken products. Our stay was like two stays, first time and last time.

- KayleneS (10/5): Great hotel! Highly recommend! - We really enjoyed this hotel because of the nice, clean room with it's own entrance, comfy bed and perfect pillows. The location was great on a street with restaurants and foot massages, within walking distance to the beach and about a 15 minute walk to the Landmark night market. The staff was very friendly and helpful in setting up tours and taxis for us. The pool looked very clean and refreshing and even had a twisty slide and a small slide for the very little ones. Some of the rooms stepped right into the pool which looked very fun. Breakfast was nice and in a beautiful open area. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

- Jenna (6/5): - We really liked the location of this hotel but not much else. My boyfriend and I stayed here for six nights and the bed was as hard as a rock. The bed was so uncomfortable that by the end of our stay we both had back and neck pain. Another strange thing was when they would come clean our room we were left with no clean towels and no toilet paper. On several occasions I had to ask the lobby for more toilet paper, new towels, and hand soap as there was none when we arrived. Very strange.

- Kimberley (8/5): Lovely Stay - I had a really nice stay here. Great location, 5-10 mins walk to the beach, markets and all the shops. Seven Eleven only 2 mins away. Staff very friendly, they helped me book my bus to Karon. My room was cleaned each day, great WiFi, they provide you with two beach towels and an umbrella. No English TV channels though but thr excellent WiFi makes up for it. The pool was great the slide is so much fun. Breakfast was nice and varied each day. Come after 09:30 and it's not busy. Only negatives were the noise of the other guests in the mornings at 06:30 screaming and banging on the door the hotel staff should do something abiut this.

- soumyasingh (8/5): Nice pools and surprise pool slides - We booked a Deluxe Jacuzzi room for our stay, the room was nice and huge with enough amenities however we felt the Jacuzzi was in need of maintenance. The staff in the resort were great and we loved the breakfast buffet. I especially loved the slides in the pool, it was a nice break from the same old boring pools. I might book this hotel again but would prefer to go for a pool access room.

- DanBaxstar (6/5): Cosy little spot off away from the main drag - Everything about this place is very pleasant. Room size is great, towels are available to take to the beach, plenty of transport options around too. While the main strip is within walking distance, it's not always a comfortable walk in the heat of the day. Note - while they say breakfast is served until 10.30, it isn't really replenished, so you still have to get there early to get anything.

- Tuija (8/5): - Parin saarihyppelyviikon pari viimeistä yötä olimme Viva Resortissa. Ihan ok hotelli keskustassa. Ao Nangin ranta ei ole kovin kummmoinen ( tai siltä tuntui upeiden rantojen jälkeen) joten harmitti kun hotellin allasalue oli niin pieni ja rantatuoleja ei riittänyt monelle.

- 488darranw (8/5): Very nice - Booked in here for 5 nights, ferry over from Phuket. The hotel is not very big and the staff are great, always happy to help. Breakfast is ok, omelettes are the best but there is a selection of Thai food available. The pools are good, one with pool rooms and a general pool. This has a big water slide which is great for kids, but there have been lots of mum and dads using it too. Not far from the beach, short 10 minute walk to both beaches. AoNang is a very nice pkace and after years of just Phuket i will be coming back here again. Recommend the Viva hotel. Good value, clean and friendly.

- hucasl (6/5): Mediocre hotel - I recently stayed at the Aonang Viva Resort in Krabi, and would describe this accommodation as pretty average... Reception staff were very pleasant upon arrival, and initial thought were that resort and rooms were clean and well presented... The downsides were that the pool area is far too small for the amount of rooms, and only offers 14 sun beds... We were told that the pool opened at 08:00, however there were people ‘claiming’ sun beds from as early as 07:15....This issue needs to be better managed, or pool opening hours should not be set at a time, if guests are allowed to use before the designated time! We booked a superior room, which has a nice big king size bed... however it didn’t have king size bed sheets, and the bedding was made up of 2 standard size bed sheets which did not lead to comfortable sleeping.. The towels provided were also really dated and poor quality... Plus points were....good breakfast selection offered, and a nice touch in the superior/deluxe room was the beach bag, beach mat, and umbrella provided... Final comment....think the hotel is a bit overpriced for what is on offer!
- AccidentalTouristTG (4/5): All a bit second rate - Room was OK, but bed uncomfortably hard and no drawer space at all and a fairly small wardrobe, meaning we were living out of our suitcases for a week. Towels provided had holes some days, and cleaning was a bit patchy, sometimes not happening until late afternoon. Location is good, and pretty quiet at night. Pool area is pleasant but very noisy as the sound of kids playing echoes a lot, and there are not enough loungers and pool towels for the room count. Breakfast was pretty poor most days. The guests are a very mixed bunch, and trying to cater for both European and Asian preferences results in limited choice for both audiences. Laundry service was very good - cheap and clothes back ironed next day. All in all, not great value for money.

We were at the latter end of breakfast one morning and there wasnt a lot to choose from. Hotel itself was nice. Room nice. The main thing that bugged me was the other people staying banging thier hotel room doors at 7am every morning. The doors are hefty with self then soft close doors. Some must not be working as that was what i was woken to every morning.

They stole my money from the room which was kept inside the bag. I contacted them after two days. They said I gave the permission and stopped replying my mails. I asked them for CCTV footage but they are not responding. If you guys plan to stay here please take care of your valuables. Though I don't recommend you.
- KaiHernando (4/5): A decent budget accomodation - We went as group for the company retreat. Our 3rd trip to Krabi. Its simple resort with basic facilities. Not even a simple iron and board is available. We stayed for 3 nights. The room itself is acceptable, bed rather hard but surprisingly slept ok. Aircon was not working on the first day. The receptionist is not friendly and always grumpy face. Housekeeping lady was helpful to arrange for the technician to fix the aircon. Room furnishing looks very DIY and quite noisy for a relatively small building. Choices of breakfast is limited. Recommended for travellers on a budget. Personally i would not return unless there is no choice

- doddyboy (10/5): Fantastic Hotel!!! - My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 19 nights so we got a pretty good idea of the way it runs,First of all I must mention that all the staff were fantastic.Any issue was taken care of quickly and always with a smile on their face.The rooms are quite modern and well equipped with great air conditioning and good wi-fi and an in room safe.The buffet breakfast is great and the menu is modified daily.The pool is a little small but sufficient.This hotel is located close to a lot of eating establishments and convenience stores.The beach is about a 5 minute walk away.If you are looking for a restful holiday then this place is fantastic.I would like to thank all of the staff for making our stay such a pleasurable experience and can't wait to stay with you again.
- angiesiew (8/5): A very good location with great amenities! - Location is top notch. Near the bus stop, near eateries, near the beach, near tour offices, near Family Mart and also 7-11. Cannot ask for more. Room is spacious and clean. The breakfast is excellent. Different main dishes everyday and we were not bored at all. We took our time to eat breakfast daily. My kids enjoyed the swimming pool a lot. The slides are great too. We spent two days playing at the slides. Thanks Aonang Viva for being a great hotel. My family enjoyed the 4 nights there.

- Kathryn (8/5): - The Good: Breakfast was varied and plentiful The pool was nice, albeit a bit chilly initially Hotel overall was clean and serviceable Lots of stuff around: massages, mini-marts, restaurants, good night market food... beach is about a ten minute walk (although faster if you don’t have small children slowing you down ;) ) The Meh: Beds were very firm - a bit of a challenge to sleep on It took a long time for the rooms to be made up during the day They only give one key per room, and to get a second key you have to give a deposit of 500 baht. Mildly annoying if you and the person you share a room with decide to go separate ways, but it ended up not being too big of a deal. Most of the rooms overlook the pool, so noise can travel, but we were never unduly bothered.

- Abigail (10/5): Great Stay - Stayed here for 2 nights - Nice hotel in a good location just off of Ao Nang Beach, bear Ao Nang night market and lots of shops and restaurants. Perfect to enjoy the busy times without being too loud when you want to relax and sleep. Clean room and nice shower and bathroom, spacious. Bed is a little hard but apart from that a great stay overall!

- Dagmara (10/5): Positively surprise! Good hotel in a good location - I was positively surprised by this hotel. It was very clean, the area was good, close to night bazar and restaurants. shops, massages etc. 10 min walk to Aonang beach. The area was laid back, so don’t expect wild parties. In Aoang Beach area were more bars open till late. Breakfast was fantastic! Nice buffet and live cook to prepare egg dishes. I had a superior room. It was great! The balcony didn’t have any spectacular view but it was big and cozy enough. I would give this hotel 4 star. The only one negative thing were the wake up calles.... once I got it an hour later and the other time, not at all. But it’s holiday... so it wasn’t too bad. I never used the swimming pool. It looked fine. Is taxed here 4 nights. Value for money - very good.

- Lucky (10/5): Best place to relax, near to beach and market - Room was spacious. It had a balcony to sit and relax while sipping hot coffee. The resort has two pools, with one having cocktail bar access. Wardrobe contained two umbrellas and a beach mat. The beach mat was of great use for us.

The hotel has everything you need (safe, hairdryer, large toilet and big beds) but the toilet smells everyday due to drains. The hotel was in constructions (new swimming pool and lift) so there was constant noise at early times. It was very noisy in the evening in the corridors and staff wasnt bothered about it so it has to be your job to quiet your neighbours. Breakfast was ok for a 3 star but some essential things were missing. Overall a 3 start hotel

- Verified traveler (10/5): Friendly and clean good value for money - We had a pool access room which was very convenient to swim to the bar and only a few short steps away to breakfast.the staff couldn't do enough for us they are very helpful and always smiling .breakfast caters for all nationalities and there is a good snack menu aswell .rooms were cleaned everyday and bed was comfortable .i had read a few reviews which were not good and I honestly think some people complain for nothing . It's a 3 star hotel and it deserves more .the location was quiet so No loud music keeping you awake .( apart from my friend who snores so that was only noise I heard ) The beaches and bars are only minutes away and you don't get hassled in the street with vendors , the people are very nice and plenty of nice restaurants and street food stalls . Slot of people stop here fir a few days while travelling however we stayed 18 days and thoroughly enjoyed our stay

- Verified traveler (10/5): Best Hotel Experience in Ao Nang - We stayed in this hotel for 5 days and the experience was amazing. The complex is new, bedrooms are very big and comfortable, bathrooms fantastic. We were impressed by the cleanliness. People at the reception desk are friendly and help you with everything. The pool is nice and the pool bar offers great cocktails (happy hour from 4pm to 7pm as well)! We also had lunch a couple of times at the pool and the food is delicious and cheap. Same for the breakfast buffet that was huge every morning. Ao Nang Viva Resort is in a good position, close to the shopping streets and to the beaches. Highly recommended for couple, friends and family.

- Mint (4/5): Glad of a short stay - We found the hotel not to our liking. The bed was hard and also just two twins put together. The pool was freezing, small and somehow a bit salty??? The Wi-Fi was unusable from our room location (you have to login each time it disconnected, which was a lot). The rooms have paper thin walls as we found out by being woken up by the F1 on TV playing in the next room (I could hear it word for word). The area was OK. There were some shops and a okish beach (the sunsets pretty amazing there though). Good place if you like sea food as it makes up most of the menus. Breakfast was nice and on par with others we have had in Koh Samui.

- Chris (8/5): Great Stay for 2 days - We stayed here for 2 days when we first arrived in Thailand, it's a brand new hotel so the facilities were great. Wifi was everywhere, bathroom was clean. It's a 10 minute walk from Aonang beach and then a 25 minute long tail to Railay. The staff were fantastic and organised our transport to Phi Phi. Breakfast was also really good, as they cooked fresh eggs. Only complaint is that its next to another building site, but we didn't really notice.

- Matt (4/5): VERY NOISY! (But otherwise okay) - This is a decent enough hotel. The problem for me was the amount of noise. On the third night, a bus load of tourists we're checking into the hotel at 3:30am and showed absolutely no respect for other guests trying to sleep. The amount of noise was just awful, with people screaming and shouting and running up and down the corridors, slamming doors, shouting etc. I asked the guests politely to be quiet but to no avail. When I complained to the reception desk, there was nobody there empowered to do anything, and so I had to call back several times to get hold of the manager. I eventually came down stairs to speak with the manager on the phone. Sadly, the rest of the staff thought it was funny that I was complaining and apparently could not understand what the problem was. This wasn't the only occasion when noise was a problem. There were frequently screaming children outside my door around 6am, as well as noisy guests slamming doors. Aside from noise, I have no other complains and everything else was good. If you're here to party or don't mind noise, then this hotel might be a good choice for you. Another thing you need to be careful about is mixing this hotel up with Aonang Villa Resort (this one is Viva). I was actually trying to book Aonang Villa Resort when I clicked through to Expedia from Trip Advisor to make the booking. However, instead of seeing information for Aonang Villa, Expedia showed me the details for Aonang Viva. Next time I'll be more careful.
