Guest Reviews
- Alan (10/5): - The property is quite new and the rooms are very spaciousa and clean. No breakfast was mentioned but a nice surpise to have muffins and coffee. A little inconvient when the office is closed, which was a fair bit of time when we were there, as you can't get ice or do laundry. We were there in late September so it was off season.
- Grant (6/5): - This was a nice clean and comfortable room, however, considering that the rates were charged for high season, everything, anywhere near the hotel was already closed for the season. There was absolutely nothing to do or experience due to this. I think that the hotel should have been charging off season rates knowing that we could not do anything. When we asked for information on where we could get food, they indicated that we would have to drive to Charlottetown, 25 minutes away.
- Colleen (8/5): - It was a great place to stay. Only disappointing issue was the pool.
- Claude (4/5): - Non-confortable bed, in V-shape. Room 513.
Asking for a room change
Refuse (They can't)
Parking 25% full???
It's because we are Hotel.com client's. Feel like that.
2nd class customers
We reserved for three nights, after two we decide to go back home.
- Melanie (10/5): - The check in was easy. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The check out was also very easy. All and all an excellent stay.
- Cornie (10/5): - Clean room. Excellent staff
- Rachel (6/5): - We have stayed a couple times at this property in the queen suites but decided to do a long suite this trip. Very nice rooms. Only thing I had a problem with this time in room 401 was the shower. The tap was backwards, turn right you are going to satans layer as the water was scolding hot, turn the tap left and you are going Antarctica to visit Mr. Freezer it was that cold. There was no option for Luke warm water which was very disappointing as if a kid decided to turn the water on they would have gotten burned. Very disappointing about the shower.
- Brad (10/5): - This is a fantastic hotel. Very clean, very convenient and above all, very comfortable. Close to everything including the national park and amazing beaches and scenery. This is a definite return on our next trip to Prince Edward Island.
- Renate (6/5): - Thin walls
- Jamshid (10/5): - Excellent location if you would like to be close to the ocean.
- Sharon (8/5): - Lovely area. We were just there for one night.
- Francys (10/5): - Though my room was wheelchair accessible, more hand rails and safety features would improve comfort
- Oyeseni (10/5): - Nice and comfortable, we got exactly what we wanted
- Jean-Henri (10/5): - Nice place with large rooms bonus gym and pool was a nice surprise.
- Judith (8/5): - It was quite a few things could have been cleaned better but overall comfortable.
- Karen (10/5): - We loved our stay at the hotel. The rooms were very spacious. Clean and fresh smelling rooms. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone travelling to PEI. Just a 20 minute drive to downtown Charlottetown & Anne if Green Gables.
- Trudy (8/5): - They were very short staffed so our room wasn’t cleaned daily, but friendly people and quiet area.
- Carys (10/5): - Absolutely wonderful.
- Stephane (8/5): - Saff ver friendly and helpfull
- George (10/5): - Nice large rooms
- Carolyn (10/5): - Nice and quiet!
- Nelda (6/5): - When I booked this place I thought from the picture that it was a big country inn. When we got there we discovered that it was actually a motel with about 60 rooms. It looked fine, in good condition and the room was nice and big and well appointed. However, the bathroom is very outdated and wasn’t very clean and the tv was terrible. It required staff to come and turn it on and got bad reception.
- Nancy (10/5): - Loved the exercise equipment grid around the meadow. Great for travellers who are tired of sitting in a car and would like to have a good stretch.
- Glen (10/5): - It’s a beautiful spot to stay! We love it! We have been here many times before even before your fire that ruined part of it!
- Amanda (8/5): - Nice property to stay while driving through PEI. Drove into Charlottetown for dinner. Not a long drive. Maybe 20 min.
- Lawrence (2/5): - Inconsiderate owner. Look for accommodations elsewhere
- Silvia (8/5): - We had a wonderful stay. Staff was friendly and room was clean and comfortable.
- Susan (10/5): - Have stayed before and will stay again
- Vijay Pal Singh (8/5): - Staff was the most amazing part of our stay.
- David (10/5): - the room was very spacious. There was an eagle perch right out our back window. It was astonishing to watch the fledgling learn to fly from that perch, 100 feet out of our window. Easy to find. Priced exactly as it should have been. Excellent.
- Sarah (6/5): Clean, but not quaint. - It is clean and a good location. It could definitely use some decor updates for the price. At least put a picture over the electrical pannel in the bedroom. It is clean but not quaint.
- James (10/5): - The staff were very nice, and it was a very nice and quiet place to stay at… Close to cabin – and not too far from thunder, coves, or to go south to Charlottetown. The only thing is inside was very outdated, it can definitely use a refresher. I think the laminate floors were the only thing that were redone in the place.
It was nice to have great tasting coffee, and muffins in the front office area, and it was wonderful to have a stove, regular size refrigerator to cook with.
- Lisa (6/5): - Good location. Great parking in front of your room. Bathrooms were a bit dated but overall a decent hotel (not sure if it’s worth the price though)
Breakfast in the morning consisted of coffee/tea and muffins which was ok but families with young kids swarm the coffee table touching everything making it less than desirable to grab something (kids drinking all the creamers and tiny containers of milk, then touching all the muffins and stacking multiples of them on their napkin using their hands - all while the parents and staff watch and say nothing)
- Silvia (10/5): - We had a great nights stay. We went up the road to grab corn and were able to throw them on the bbq provided. The room was very clean (no smell). Staff was so nice and we were surprised it even included coffee/muffins in the morning. Will be back!!
- Jayne (10/5): - It’s was so clean and comfortable
- Stephanie (6/5): - The property was okay. It was clean and we had everything we needed.
When we first checked in I did inquire about moving rooms as our ground floor room had a common-use deck space and eating area under the only window. I was told it wasn’t possible.
So if the curtains were opened at all, other guests would be looking in our room. I was told no one used the deck. This did turn out to be true however it felt odd to have to keep the black out curtains closed at all times in case someone did decide to use the deck area.
- Katerina (10/5): Excellent spot - Excellent stay! Highly recommend. Spacious, clean, comfortable beds, fast internet.Quick access to park, close to a fee eating options as well as Richards seafood. 20 min drive to Charlottetown.
- Kelly (10/5): - Big rooms
- Zach (8/5): - Room was spotless, clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and anmenable. Only real complaint is the pool was cold. Thermometer said 22 degrees. Pools should be 25-28. But it was clean and nice. The hot tub was out of service during the time we were there.
- Louise (10/5): - Loved my spacious room. Service was great
- Jun (6/5): - No change the covers
- Meaghan (2/5): - It's a good spot if your comfortable with being fully accosted by staff who thinks that recording an encounter asking people to quiet down for the first time is ok. To be approached in the dark with zero warning while being filmed and the staff member making no indication that he was an employee of the accommodations. Never. Again. Thankfully our children were asleep because that was beyond unacceptable.
- Linda (4/5): - The flush did not work properly.. had to use the gaebage can to poor water down to make is flush. Even after i complained. Had some lotion taken from my room .. an my room was entered by staff even though we did not request for the room to be cleaned. .
- Melissa (4/5): - FRENCH VERSION TO FOLLOW.
The hotel was okay, but there were several disappointing aspects. The bed was very uncomfortable, sinking in the middle, which made it difficult to sleep. Although the room was cleaned, the beds were not made and no fresh supplies (washcloths, soap, shampoo) were added or provided for the second night, which was not sufficient. The indoor pool was 72 degrees, so freezing cold, with no towels provided at the pool and no chairs to sit on. $500 for two nights is far too expensive for what it was.
Translated with DeepL.com (free version)Hôtel était ok, mais plusieurs éléments décevants.
- John (8/5): - Updated large rooms near the water and easy access to Charolettetown and Anne of GreenGables sites
- Liliane (10/5): - The property is really well located, it is walking distance to Brackley Beach, The Dunes art gallery and gift shop and good seafood restaurants. The Northwind Inn and Suites offers great services to its clients !!! We were there a few times and will definitely go back.
- Julie (6/5): Just ok - Hotel is nice and clean but not much around. We booked for the pool and hot tub but the hot tub was not functional when we got there which was quite disappointing. Breakfast was muffins and coffee only so should be listed as continental and not breakfast included.
- Valerie (10/5): - The Property was great, lovely indoor pool, great staff, you would need a way around as its 20 min to places and no food delivery.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Clean and friendly
- Qi (10/5): - The hotel is very clean. And it has big yard that kids can run and play. A osprey couple nests in the backyard peacefully which is an extra benefit for living here. Our family is a big fan of bird watching
- Roman (6/5): - The room was o.k., it was clean; there were only muffins for breakfast.
- Connie (10/5): Great hotel best yet - Best hotel yet on my trip huge room fantastic beds clean comfortable
- Michelle (10/5): - Very clean property, staff were friendly and helpful. Location was great as it’s pretty central. Would definitely stay here again!
- Elaine (4/5): - No cleaning of the room, even when requested. Bed was terribly uncomfortable. Had a basket in the room when we arrived saying if we wanted to leave anything for the housekeepers efforts to leave it in here. I find that very insulting even more so that we didn’t get any service!
- Joan (10/5): - Friendly arrival conversation. Nice and clean.
- Micheal (8/5): - Property was very clean and well maintained. Room interior was very modern with ver good quality finishes and bedding.
Wifi service was so, so. Close to beaches but very limited restaurants or shopping nearby.
- Christopher (10/5): - Our room was spacious, well appointed and clean. Great bathroom. We were able to enjoy Brackley beach which was only a short drive away
- S (8/5): - Beautiful place to stay. Very clean and well managed. We really enjoyed it.
- Nicholaus (10/5): - Wonderful place to stay - Clean and cute!!! So close to everything we wanted to see in PEI. Thank you for a perfect stay!!
- Jennifer (8/5): - The room was clean and a good size, bed was comfy, location was great carpet was stinky, bring your own shampoo and soap because there was only one of each there for our 3 day stay, and they didnt replenish.
As for the coffee and muffins from 8 to 10 in the morning, they were horrible.
Overhall, for the price we paid, they should provide toiletries and breakfast as hotels like holiday inn and best Western
We have stayed at this hotel before and everything was provided, we will search for different accommodations on our next trip to PEI
- Lori (8/5): - Was pretty good..
- Lawrence (6/5): Clean, minimalistic, but available - Location and availability are the primary plusses along with clean rooms, comfortable beds and good cooling system. . No style, minimalistic decor inside and out. Breakfast is minimalistic. Decent muffin and coffee. Price is quite high for what you get, but near excellent beach and available when other places are not.
- Son (10/5): - Very clean and beautiful washroom, washroom shower need a bit more coverage so water doesn’t splash outside causing floor to be super wet. Good muffins and coffee. Very pieceful here.
- Skye (6/5): - .
- Adedamola (8/5): - Very clean and quiet for our weekend stay
- James (8/5): - Nice big rooms , comfortable beds, but WIFI is poor , TV terrible, indoor pool is freezing cold .
- Alison (8/5): - The room was lovely and clean. The beach is close by and we even got to enjoy the drive in down the road.
- Kim (8/5): - Bed was super comfortable. It was close to the Dunes, etc
- KAREN (10/5): - Very convenient location midway between Cavendish and Charlottetown and only a couple of minutes from Brackley Beach provincial park. Room and bathroom were very clean. Beds were comfortable and our room had a large back window where we could watch the osprey nest in the field !
Staff were friendly and helpful. We found we had to let the hot water tap run for a few minutes to get hot water but it did get quite hot with patience. Definitely will stay there again.
- Zaure (6/5): - Generally fine. If you are on the first floor, you hear everything happening in the room above you.
- Jill (6/5): Room wasn't ready - Room was great once we got in it. Biggest complaint was we we were told our room wasn't ready when we showed up at 4:20pm. Owner said he was short staffed unexpectedly. We decided to go get pizza in Charlottetown and room was just done on our return at 6:25pm. So 2.5 hours wait for our room.
- Larry (8/5): Breaku - I believe there should be more of a breakfast even if it is continental.
Muffins too small.
- Mane (4/5): - Cleanest wasnt the best
- Laura (8/5): - We had a constant drip in the bedroom that was very annoying, beds were small, queen or king would be better, but would stay there again
- KEN (8/5): - the bathing temp adjuster is the oposite way.
The door is not secured.
- Amy (6/5): - The rooms were so damp. It felt gross.
- Daphne (10/5): - We had a pleasant stay.
- Suzie (10/5): - Very good
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Liked everything including drive in theater down the street
- Natasha (8/5): - Rooms are large!
- Marc (6/5): value play during low season - We went a few nights during July (high season) - motel was in a field…minutes drive from the beach…room had terrible wifi service and water pressure/debit to flush the toilet took forever - even though the beds were comfy and room was clean but beginning to age…and crying out for a makeover…in short, for the high season rate, you can do better on the island…if price is low, this is a good value play. Make sure no one is in the room above as this is not a concrete construct and you can hear them. Pool was clean and so was the jacuzzi.
- Michael (8/5): - The room was nice, beds were very comfortable. No problems except for not being able to operate the TV. The hot tub and the pool weren't great. The hot tub was only half full and the pool was small. Otherwise though it was a very comfortable stay. The location is very ideal for reaching other areas....generally a 10-20 minute drive almost anywhere. We would stay here again for sure!
- Debbi (8/5): - Staff at check in and check out, are all business, no extra interaction. Property is well maintained and clean. Breakfast was a muffin. Disappointing as no other places for breakfast nearby. Had to drive to Charlottetown. Just down the road from the drive in, which is always enjoyable. Osprey nest outside our room window was entertaining!
- Zeev (8/5): - The place is nice. On the other hand, they dont offer full breakfast, only coffee and muffin. You need to drive half hour to have breakfast.
- Roger (10/5): - The property was clean, quiet and safe. Conveniently located to several attractions. The only draw back is the parking area could be larger.
- Sarah (10/5): - The property was nice and clean. There was a birdsnest on top of one of the poles that was really cool for the kids. Loved the play ground and space for the kids, definitely made them ready for bed:). The only suggestion I could make is regarding the bath towels, they're more on the small side. Overall a wonderful stay and would stay again.
- Krystal (10/5): - Best place to stay in pei to be able to travel both sides of the island
- Raymond (10/5): - Generally good. We only stayed for kne night. No issues at all. Nice and quiet.
- HEE YEON (6/5): - Overall, the inn was clean, and the property sits on a large piece of land where kids can play. The swimming pool and hot tub were clean and easy to use.
However, it was very inconvenient for us that we couldn’t check in at 4 PM. We arrived at 4:10 PM, and it would have been nice to know in advance that the room wasn’t ready.
Also, the A/C didn’t work well. The window unit was struggling to keep up, and the wall unit wouldn’t turn on at all. The first night was breezy, so we opened the window and it was fine, but the next night it was warm when we returned, and there was no one at the office after 10 PM, so we couldn’t get help. We checked out the next day.
- Lisa (10/5): - Rooms very spacious and clean!
- Debra (8/5): - The property was nice. We had to move rooms as the toilet did not work. Asked for a main level room due to knee condition and was told they didn't have any available. The microwave was old and the button stuck on it. When we had to move rooms because the toilet didn't work they put us in a main floor room. The indoor pool was nice but freezing. Not heated so we couldn't use it. The hot tub was nice and so was the BBQ's that were available for use.
- Ashley (6/5): - The room was very dated but it was clean. The pool area was dirty and very dated, with no where to sit. There was a hot tub that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months.
- Donald (10/5): - Nicely updated motel close to Brackley Beach
Friendly staff and great location for beach goers or cycling through the National Park.
We will return
- Sean (8/5): - We couldn't get any station on the tv.
Good bistro at Penzies in Shaw's Cottages. Really close by and very scenic.
Motel wasn't where we thought it was going to be but was oy 25 minutes from Charlottetown.
- Salahuddin (10/5): - The facility and the staff were good.
- Wai Ling (8/5): - Clean, quiet.
- Robbie (10/5): Great Spot! - Large, spacious room, comfortable beds, very clean, pool, local muffins and coffee available at front desk each morning. Very Friendly staff. Highly Recommend!
- Nada (8/5): - I was very suprise. I will go back for sure
- Debra (10/5): - Staff need to learn the area they are working. They had no idea of surroundings area. Sent us to Charlottetown to find coffee, 20 minutes away. There was a very good coffee shop just around the corner. Please educate your staff. Thanks
- Angie (10/5): Planning to Return here! - We were so happy with our first two nights, we decided to extend our stay by two additional nights!
- room was updated and absolutely spotless when we arrived!
- bathroom was updated and beautiful! We needed an accessible room and it was great!
- breakfast was only for a few limited items but each of the items were delicious (even the coffee!)
- the view of the property from our room was stunning! And being able to watch the Osprey birds in the nest feeding her babies was such a cute ‘treat’ for our family!
- having laundry available was a bonus
