Tony and his wife are the owners and are part of the Marcarini family with 6 generations of wine making including a 99 point Barolo. His wife is the chef and the dinners at the hotel are amazing!!! The best meals we had in our 3 week stay throughout Italy. The rooms are large and spacious with remodeled large bathrooms with counter space and large walk in shower. I would highly recommend it and I can’t wait to make it my first stop on a return trip to Italy. N/A

The adjoining en-suite bathroom like the bedroom was exceptionally clean with modern walk-in shower. Breakfast was unbelievably fresh, straight from the oven baking. An absolute gem. I did not have any dislike for anything, this was a fantastic 2 night stay - dissapointment in not having the ability to remain longer.

• Tim (10/5): Highly recommend — an all levels. - I LOVE the Marcarini Agriturismo. Again! We stayed here last November as a surprise find, lucky that they still had openings during the peak of the white truffle season. We loved our stay last year; that same excellence came true this year again. This place is top-to-bottom great. The rooms are all huge, immaculately clean and designed with details that made our stay special. The owners are always available for any requests, especially recommendations for local, not-touristy restaurants. They also helped us set up a truly special truffle hunt — NOT, that is, a “demonstration hunt” where the truffle hunter (while still a great experience) buries a truffle for the dogs to “find!” We were able to go on an excursion with friends of Marcarini owners, who didn’t promise to find truffles, but definitely promised a real experience=we found EIGHT! Well, the amazing dog found eight! I would make special note of the first-night dinner prepared by Chiara, the owner. This might have been our favorite meal during our entire five-week trip to Italy. Not exaggerating. Chiara is a highly trained chef, who made classic Piemontese dishes, but with local-dialectic magic. (That is, some were her grandmother’s older-school versions of, say, vitello tonnato.) Yes, they had fresh truffles from their friends to shave on our tajarin! Also, and not to be underestimated, the agriturismo is in the family of the Marcarini winery, which is top-notch across the board. Their wines are highly rated and we had an excellent, free tour — and tasting. I highly, highly recommend staying here. Nothing.

• Alex (10/5): Great farm stay! - Our stay at Marcarini was fantastic for us. Chiara and Tony who was the main hotel keepers were in contact with us up and through our stay, making sure everything was taken care of and that our dietary needs were met. She went above and beyond to coordinate a beautiful dinner at the Agritourismo, and since my wife doesn't eat red meat made a special vegan meal which was outstanding. They also had a beautiful breakfast with anything you could want. The rooms were huge and well appointed. The location was beautiful, set right on a vineyard in beautiful Langhe region. Keep in mind, it is a bit hard to reach unless you have a car or scheduled taxi, if you plan on heading out for dinner or want to tour around, arrange a car or rent a car. They also have a lovely hot tub that we enjoyed and a peaceful little pond with frogs that was nice. All in all, the stay was great and wanted to thank Tony and Chiara for taking great care of us during our 2-night stay. Grazie Mille

• Wendy (10/5): Old world charm and an incredibly gracious host in the heart of wine & truffle heaven. - We chose this as our spot to stay while visiting the White Truffle Fair in Alba. What a wonderful, gracious place, straight out of another time. The grounds in a lovely enclosure sweep you to a relaxing quieter way of life. The rooms also have a marvelous old world field, but with all the modern amenities - comfortable beds, an excellent shower. Best of all was the welcome by our host Chiara. We arrived hungry, not having managed to find a place to eat in bustling Barolo, and Chiara laid out a fabulous cheese and charcuterie platter for us. Both before and after arrival, Chiara was amazingly helpful with tips, information and advice (where to park in Alba for the festival, what to expect there...). She even gave extra care and attention to our Chihuahua! Breakfast was incredible, with fun discoveries, like honey made with chestnuts, and a variety of homemade jams, fresh scrambled eggs made to order and more. Really a delight. We will be back! The location on a country road does not seem to directly access places to walk to (at least not that we could see). But all the lovely sites and villages are a very easy drive away. Once inside the walled enclave of this lovely estate, you are in a quiet charming world away from it all, and don't really need to venture out!

Location is truly beautiful and outdoor area has good places to rest and take a glass of wine. We were lucky to join local honey tasting that happened during our stay. I also strongly recommend taking dinner with wine pairing. Those dishes were extremely tasty, well prepared and whole evening turned to be amazing. Our room was spacious, very clean and well maintained. Breakfasts are also at great level. We travelled through differents part of Piemonte, but this area turned out to be most beautiful and became our favourite. For sure we will be back for white truffle season next time!

• Karen (10/5): Peaceful and relaxing home base when visiting the Langhe region - We loved everything about the Marcarini Agriturismo, but especially the outstanding hospitality provided by Chiara and Tony. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Lovely breakfast with homemade and locally sourced foods. Do not miss the opportunity to experience one of Chiara’s dinners with wine pairing with wines from the Marcarini wine cellars. Perfect location for home base to tour wineries in the area and it was delightful to end the afternoon with the relaxing hot tub and a glass of wine or limoncello spritz. Highly recommend! We liked everything.

Our room was plenty spacious, and we enjoyed that we had a balcony and lots of windows looking out. We sat outside on the terrace by the restaurant/breakfast room for several hours enjoying chatting, listening to the frogs, and drinking some of Marcarini's amazing wine! Tony and Chiara are such a delightful pair. They truly take care of their guests with warmth and kindness. Tony was always available to help when we needed it, and furthermore, worked with Chiara to ensure that my friend's allergies were accommodated for the AMAZING dinner that we had at the Agriturismo. Our dinner consisted of local delicacies, including veal carpaccio, agnolotti del plin, and veal with an amazing sauce, all paired with Marcarini wine. We started our trip in Piemonte off right with the amazing meal prepared by Chiara, and the incredible vibe of Marcarini overall. Nothing, it was excellent!

We felt totally at ease. We had an excellent dinner there hosted by Chiara with a bottle of their own vineyard wine which was superb. • Tim (10/5): I would recommend highly, highly, highly. - What did I like? EVERYTHING! This will sound like a weird way to begin a review, but I’ve been to Piemonte a lot and usually stay at a different place, which I still love. It was full this trip (truffle season!), and I luckily stumbled on to the Marcarini Agriturismo. I say luckily because it was exceptional at every single level. The facility itself is newly updated with really comfortable and large rooms with highly tuned attention to comfort-details. The breakfasts were almost over-the-top special — freshly made cakes, pastries, juices and the regular stuff, but also really great local yogurts, their own hand-made jams (five different ones), individually cooked eggs … etc. We also had a first-night dinner that was amazingly prepared by Chiara, the owner and a trained chef. With Antonello, her husband, shaving local white truffles on our pasta as he regaled us with stories from his truffle-hunting experiences. The highlight of highlights was definitley Antonello and Chiara themselves, two highly knowledgeable and highly service-oriented hosts who helped us in so many ways — local hikes to burn off the pasta, setting up a wine tasting, making restaurant recommendations in this busy season, offering to hook us up on a trufffle hunt. I loved this place — and them! Does it sound like I would recommend staying there :-) Absolutely nothing. Perfect.

Close to many wineries, for visits, a list of local restaurants located in the room, parking just steps from the door. Owners very friendly and helpful, with perfect English, if that is important to you!

Autenttinen ja henkilökohtainen kokemus, ja huoneetkin varsin laadukkaat tällaiseen majoitukseen.
• Kristina (10/5): Few beautiful days at an amazing lace - What a beautiful place and what a beautiful couple that welcomed us to the Agriturismo! We absolutely loved our stay. Nestled into the vineyard-filled hills near Barbaresco, this is a place to relax and call home for as long as you're staying. The breakfast is delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The dinner (book the dinner!!) is the best food we've had in Italy, and this is not our first trip. This was the perfect base to explore the region - thank you for having us. Everything was perfect! Only note to guests, book dinner with the hosts in advance. We didn't ask for any lunch, but I am not sure you can get it there, so you will need a car / taxi to go out for food.

Chiaras hjemmelavede mad er på højt niveau og middagen serveres med gårdens egen dejlige vin- afpasset efter retterne. En stor oplevelse. Det er et sted vi meget gerne vil tilbage til. En fornøjelse at se hvordan et ungt værtspar kan drive et sted med passion og dygtighed- så gæsterne føler sig virkeligt godt taget af.

The room was in nice design, spacious and very clean. The breakfast was delicious. The home made marmelade and cake is something I really recommend. The owner recommended restaurants in the neighbour area, this was appreciated. Wish you a continued success with the hotel!

• Aj (10/5): A beautiful hotel with a unique dining opportunity. - The Agriturismo Marcarini is a family owned vineyard hotel which is managed by a brilliant couple, Chiara and Antonello. As soon as you drive into the courtyard you are met by Chiara and Antonello who offer you warm and friendly welcome. The rooms are large, very clean and very well equipped with everything to make your stay a comfortable and pleasant one. The toiletries are quality and I’m told the hair dryer was very powerful. The bed was massive and extremely comfortable. There is a mini bar in the room which contained water, soft drinks and three bottles of the Marcarini wine (all at an additional cost) There is a dedicated area to relax with sun beds, towels, and a large and powerful Jacuzzi. We decided to eat at the hotel and what an experience that turned out to be. Chiara is the chef and she will only use sustainably and locally sourced organic produce. Her cooking skills are of the highest level and the four courses she presented us with were just sublime. There isn’t a menu, she will cook using the current and available ingredients of the day, which makes the meals there even more special. Of course you can try a variety of wines with your meal or simply but a bottle (or two). The breakfast was as special as the evening meal, again with locally sourced and fresh produce. Unfortunately we only stayed at the Agriturismo Marcarini for just one night, but we fully intend to visit again and stay for longer. In short, the perfect place to visit for a relaxing and comfortable stay with the addition of a unique and high quality dining experience. There is nothing to dislike

• Michal (10/5): Exceptional - Our host chara was the best. Very welcoming and always with a smile. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. We had dinner cooked by Chara and it was delicious. The breakfast was great with freshly home made cake and an assortment of cheeses and jams and special breads. We even managed a dip in the outside garden jaccuzi. Thank you for a lovely time...

• Christian (8/5): - Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und hat jeden Wunsch erfüllt sowie mögliche Ausflugtipps gegeben. Die Lage ist ideal und eignet sich sehr gut als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge. Wir empfehlen vor allem das Abendessen in der Unterkunft selbst, es war grossartig!

Colazione eccellente con prodotti di nicchia di prima qualità. Torneremo appena possibile, siamo stati benissimo: relax e natura . N.B. Punto strategico per visitare i dintorni: Neviglie, Neive, Morra, Barbaresco, Alba. P.S. I Marcarini producono vini e nocciole: voto 10...facciamo anche 15 😉

Everything you would need and some, for an overnight stay! Also very dog friendly right down to bowls in the room and treats!! Dinner and breakfast were top restaurant standard Hope to visit again on our future journeys to Tuscany!

The experience with this family make every Italian proud of their land ! We had a visit of the wine cellar and a wine taste included in our room . The price it is lower than the 5 star experience that we had . Definitely you need a car to explore all the beautiful town .
