"restaruant" at the hotel is more a coffee bar that offers a few sandwhiches as well. Quite a few food choices right outisde the hotel though. We stayed in the "back" building. It was very quiet and comfortable. Don't miss the bagel place around the corner. It was great! Older Woman/Owner (?) was so nice and friendly and very helpful for where we were going, getting us a car, etc. Great place for the walking market, but a little out of the way for other things. Might have preferred to stay closer to the North Gate area. A clean, basic room that was great for the price.

The room was quite small, but well appointed. Despite being very central, the room faced the back and was therefore extremely quiet. Minor observations: The room had a balcony, but this unfortunately faced a wall just a few feet away, so no view. Water pressure in the shower was low and hot water intermittent.

Right in the centre of Chiang Mai, all cultural highlights are within walking distance (the Wat Phra Singh Woramahawihan temple is actually just in front of the hotel). The hotel is spread over several buildings. As my room was in the villa building in a side street, and not in the main street, it was very quiet. The room was comfortable. The good thing about Chiang Mai is that because it is not too hot, you can always open the windows. Pity my room was very close to another building, so it was quite dark.

• Marianne (7/5): Modernes Hotel in Top Lage - Wir waren zum zweiten Mal hier und waren wieder sehr zufrieden. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral im Altstadt Quadrat und man dort alles zu Fuß machen. Ein großer Tempel liegt direkt gegenüber, Restaurants, SevenEleven, Apotheke und Drogerie sowie mehrere Massagestudios und unzählige Geschäfte sind direkt um die Ecke. Das Hotel ist modern ausgestattet, es sieht genau aus wie auf den Fotos. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und hell. Die Mitarbeitenden sind sehr freundlich und wir konnten sogar unser Gepäck für ein paar Tage dort lassen, weil wir nach Pai gefahren sind. Wir hatten diesmal ein Zimmer zur Straße, die mit dem Verkehr bis nach Mitternacht sehr laut war. Für eine Nacht war es für uns ok, wenn man länger bleibt, würden wir ein Zimmer nach hinten raus empfehlen. Das hatten wir beim letzten Mal und es war echt ruhig.

• Lucy (10/5): Great location, large room and comfy bed - The location of this hotel is perfect if it's your first time in Chiang Mai. Close to everything, yet still quiet. The Sunday Walking Night Market is just there yet we heard no noise in our room from it. The apartment was very spacious and having our own entrance made us feel like we were staying in our own apartment instead of a hotel. The bed was very comfy and the room was cleaned every day. We especially loved the water that was provided daily. Nothing really! I would have preferred if the bed had bedside tables on both sides of the bed instead of up against a wall but that's me being picky. We would absolutely stay here again.

Our room felt like a small apartment. It was also very quiet and close to two of the main temples, as well as some cafés, restaurants, and spas. The staff were also very friendly. Because my mom is elderly, it wasn’t very convenient for us to stay on the fourth floor, especially since we didn’t know there was no elevator. They also mentioned that rooms are not cleaned every day and that you need to request cleaning a day in advance; however, one morning they entered the room unannounced without knocking. A heads-up would have been appreciated.

We arrived early in the morning via overnight train from Bangkok We were able to leave our bags and they took our bags to our room when they were ready. The manager/owner was especially helpful when we asked about your with our booked driver. She helped us to explain to the driver and was very good in explaining the trip. Just like living with a family. Nothing really, maybe extra set of keys would be handy.

A small sitting area in front of main door is nice to sit with hedge shielding from road. The city is full of European types. Poor lighting, smell all around..

I booked Suite 2 which is huge and very comfortable with a modern design and two balconies to relax on - one gets a good sunset view. I could stay here for an extended period very comfortably. The kitchen isn’t really set up for cooking, if you intend to do that (I didn’t) and was missing a few things like glasses.

• Tomescu (9/5): 3 nights in Chiang Mai - The location is very central and extremely accessible for walking around the city. We arrived during the weekend and were practically staying right in the middle of the Night Market, which was a great experience. The staff were very kind and helpful. The room was relatively small, but perfectly fine for the price we paid. The only issue I have with rooms in Thailand in general is the bathroom door – it feels like it’s almost not there. It doesn’t close completely, and you can hear and see through it.

From the photo for me didn't understand that the place is not new..because i just pay attention to toilets and shower which are better than most of properties..still clean and ordered but it is not new..no elevator, but the staff helped me to take the luggage to my room..
