- Luis (1/5): Horrible. Pire expérience de ma vie dans un hotel. - Je souhaitais vous écrire dès le 15 mai, mais j’ai préféré attendre la fin de notre séjour, ayant réservé deux chambres pour ma famille. Je vous fais donc part aujourd’hui de mon profond mécontentement. Notre expérience dans votre hôtel a été très décevante. Dans la chambre n°216, nous avons subi des nuisances sonores importantes la nuit, entre minuit et 1h du matin, comme des bruits de travaux. Le réfrigérateur était également extrêmement bruyant et a perturbé notre sommeil. Dans la chambre n°222, plusieurs problèmes ont été constatés : absence de lumière sur le balcon, climatisation très bruyante, balcon sale avec mégots de cigarettes et gobelets en plastique laissés par de précédents clients, présence de mouches dans la salle de bain, ainsi que des serviettes manquantes à notre arrivée. De manière générale, l’hôtel nous a semblé très sale, notamment les murs et la moquette. Le petit-déjeuner a également été très décevant. À cause de la pluie, de l’eau s’infiltrait et tombait sur les tables. Les choix proposés étaient très limités, malgré un prix élevé. De plus, le yaourt, l’une des rares options disponibles, n’a pas été proposé pendant quatre jours. L’accès à la piscine était peu agréable, car il fallait emprunter un ascenseur qui semblait utilisé par la cuisine ou le personnel de service. Le service de voiturier nous a aussi déçus. Le personnel n’était ni accueillant ni serviable. Il nous avait été indiqué que le service fonctionnait de 8h à minuit. Pourtant, le 17 mai à 23h30, la réception nous a informés qu’il n’était plus disponible, ce qui est inacceptable. Enfin, aucun espace adapté au travail n’était disponible dans l’hôtel. J’ai dû travailler depuis le balcon d’une chambre, sans lumière, dans la chaleur et entouré de moustiques. Dans l’ensemble, notre séjour a été une très mauvaise expérience. Je suis extrêmement déçu, d’autant plus que j’avais choisi cet établissement sur recommandation de Booking.com.

From the moment I checked in, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and cared for. I wasn’t feeling well and was a little lightheaded when I arrived, and Kay along with another staff member were so kind and accommodating — bringing me water and oranges, checking in on me, and making sure I was okay. That level of hospitality truly meant a lot to me. The entire staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming every single time I walked in or out of the hotel. The room was absolutely beautiful, the view was phenomenal, and the overall atmosphere was luxury, relaxing, and unforgettable. Also, a special shoutout to Orange Blossom, which is connected to the hotel — the staff there was just as amazing, warm, and friendly. This was truly a 10/10 experience, and whenever I come back to Miami, I will definitely be staying here again. Highly recommend!

The rooms are bright, clean, spacious and the windowed terrace allows abundant natural light. The kitchen is well equiped with a large fridge, microwave and cooker. Our room had a separate living and dining area. It is in a brilliant location, just minutes away from the beach and a short walk to most places in Miami beach. Would definitely recommend and intend to go back.

- ralphfK1984TX (2/5): Disapointed... - I’m taking the time to write this review because I wouldn’t want someone else with simple expectations like mine to have the same experience. I spent a considerable amount of money for a 7-day stay at this hotel. Unfortunately, we were given a room with multiple defects and issues that were never resolved, despite making several requests at the front desk. The list is long, but here are a few highlights: The convection oven/microwave did not work at all. We made several face-to-face requests, and when a “technician” finally arrived, he left after two minutes saying he would return with another technician. That was the last time we saw him. The dresser in the bedroom was, frankly, in terrible condition. The drawers were extremely difficult to open and close. Even the Salvation Army might have rejected it. The sliding closet door was also problematic—stiff, sticking, and difficult to operate. There was a constant foul odor coming from the toilet, as if the septic system were directly beneath it. The flushing mechanism was very weak and required two flushes every time. The air conditioning unit was the noisiest we’ve ever experienced. Each time it shut off, it sounded like a truck braking loudly. These noises disrupted our sleep on multiple nights. Both TVs in the room were outdated and not smart-enabled, so we couldn’t access platforms like YouTube or Netflix. Valet parking is essentially mandatory unless you’re willing to risk having your car towed. It costs $45 per day plus tax. There was no complimentary coffee in the room. The hotel charges for nearly everything—we were even billed $1.80 for a bag of pretzels we didn’t consume, likely taken during cleaning. They only offer two complimentary cups of coffee total, which we didn’t bother with. Room cleaning service was extremely slow. The gym did not match the photos advertised. Some machines were out of order for our entire stay. To be fair, the front desk staff were very nice and courteous, and that should be acknowledged. However, overall, this hotel was a major disappointment. I regret not doing more research before booking. I’ll stop here—you get the picture.

We occupy 4th floor facing Collins Avenue with balcony. Room was clean every day. We have 2 TV’s, kitchen with refrigerator, microwave. We definitely recommend this hotel and planning to come back.

Sérstaklega stórt og rúmgott baðherbergi. Það var sutt í ráðstefnuhöllina sem skipti mig máli. Starfsfólkið var vinalegt en ljóst að það er kominn tími á endurbætur og þrif á hótelinu. Mér fannst aðallega skorta hreinlæti og viðhald. Það var margt í íbúðinni sem ég dvaldi í orðið bilað t.d. skápar í eldhúsi, stólar, festingar fyrir klósettrúllu og fleira. Þá var sófinn mjög skítugur og ég vildi helst ekki setjast í hann. Gólfin mættu einnig vera betur þrifin og ljóst að það var lagt síðan þrifð hefur verið bak við borð og undir rúmi. Þá voru teppin á stigagöngum mjög blettótt og skítug. Ég bókaði herbergi með morgunverði en vissi ekki að það takmarkaðist við lítinn morgunverðarseðil og svo þurfti ég að borga aukalega ef ég vildi annað. Morgunmaturinn sem ég fékk var ágætur en sumt hefði mátt vera betra, t.d. voru kartöflunar mjög blautar. Lobbíið mætti vera betra, sófarnir þar voru mjög skítugir.

- Kerry-Ann (5/5): Nice place however given wrong room - Beautiful place and food was amazing We were assigned the wrong room upon arrival and nothing could be done as no manager on site. I had a booking for one of the most expensive rooms with roof top terrace for 2 nights and we were put in PH9 for the first night. Yes the manager corrected this to another room (not the one originally booked) the next day but we couldn’t unpack or relax. We travelled from Scotland so unfortunately this was a mistake with bookings, and we unfortunately were the ones that didn’t get what we were really excited to check into! Although the 2nd room was beautiful and amazing we only got to enjoy for one night. We were offered comp breakfast but i already had paid in advance. I haven’t had anything monetary returned to me as yet as quite a price difference and the inconvenience. I would recommend anyone staying here to confirm prior to arrival that you get the correct room. I was disappointed as this was a surprise for my daughter and I can’t re do it.

Very convenient for the beach, walking path, restaurants, etc. In this case, the hotel just doesn't match the level of the area. Everything in the room is dated, partially broken, or worn out. The shower and tub had the temperature dials removed so you could not adjust the hot/cold. The sofa was so worn you would prefer to sit on the floor. The same could be said of the rooftop pool area where for some reason they want to charge $75/day for the sunbeds in addition to the daily "fee" they already charge. Some of the staff were great, others not so much. Until they decide if they are staying in business and update things, I would choose another nearby property.

- semrak455 (2/5): DO NOT recommend - I recently stayed at Boulan South Beach with a friend, and unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. The hotel markets itself as a 4-star property, but in reality, it felt more like a 2-star at best. The photos and online presentation are completely different from what you actually get — it felt like a total catfish situation. One of the biggest issues was the lack of hot water. We had no proper hot water in the shower for our entire 7-day stay. We called reception several times and were told the water was “warm” and that they would “heat it up in 20 minutes,” but nothing ever changed. For a hotel at this price point, this is completely unacceptable. The cleanliness was also very poor. The hallways were never vacuumed and constantly covered in dust and dirt. The rooms themselves felt manky and unclean — we never felt comfortable or properly settled because of how poorly maintained everything was. The staff at reception and throughout the hotel were not professional and didn’t provide the level of service you’d expect from a supposed 4-star hotel. There was no sense of hospitality or customer care, which made the whole stay even more frustrating. The only positive thing about this hotel is the location, which is convenient for exploring Miami Beach. However, that alone does not justify the high price. Overall, this stay was a complete rip-off for what you receive. We definitely would not stay here again. It did not meet our standards at all, and for the cost, it feels like an absolute scam.

Loved the attached restaurant, Orange Blossom, with beautiful interior and exterior courtyard dining. Food was very good and reasonable (we enjoyed both breakfast and dinner at the Orange Blossom). I would've given this property a 4.5 star just based on the outstanding service (front desk, housekeeping, pool, and restaurant) BUT the dirty and highly worn room (room 218) drags this property down. Lots of broken, scuffed and dirty walls, tiles, cabinets and upholstery (including a cigarette burned seating cushion). I get it, it's South Beach (party central) but the maintenance Team needs to step up their game.

Pas grand chose comme ustensiles pour cuisiner. Pas de plat pour le four - quand j'ai voulu le mettre en route, de grosses peluches de poussières sont sorties de l'aération. Le banc sur la terrasse cassé, pas possible de s'assoir à trois dessus. Le canapé n'a plus de forme et aucun maintient. Mobilier vieillot. L'alarme du CVS juste en dessous de la chambre qui a fonctionné 4 jours 24/24 non stop. Le bruit des 'bips' des boutons de l'ascenseur - la nuit c'est très désagréable - alors que nous étions au fond du couloir. L'odeur très désagréable dans le couloir et le tapis du couloir très sale. A la piscine, une partie des transats sont inconfortables car complètement déformés. Le petit déjeuner se fait au restaurant Orange Blossom - choix restreint compréhensible, mais quand on reste 9 nuits, c'est très répétitif.

They used to be amazing just like the pictures you see online. Not anymore, they have gone horribly downhill since then. I told the manager that she should inspect the rooms at least once a quarter. Hope they upgrade Boulan to what it used to be like!

Hotel is sold out but they upgraded us to PH2 (Penthouse 2). Many issues but here are some of the highlights. Booked same room to others first night so they started to enter out room while we were there. When we left asked to have toilet seat tightened - was loose. So was the one in 1/2 bath. I get up early wanted TV in other room to watch news. Other half wanted TV to watch sports late at night. TV in sitting room does not work. Front desk sends engineer. Thought it was fixed. Was not. No one answers front desk phone when you call from the room. Went to front desk and front desk argues with me it is fixed. You couldn't change the channel without error message. Three hours of people in room first morning (we left). When we returned front desk can't tell us if fixed or not. Floor to ceiling sheer in bedroom was stained on the bottom - looked like dog peed on it. Fridge shelf broken. Could not sit on couch without leaning to middle. Used kitchen chairs instead. No handles in shower. You could turn the base to turn it on but the temp side was too hard to turn so you had to take the temp it gave you ( it was a warm temp) I made a list and walked through the room with a manager. It has been over a week and nothing - the resort fee was waived ($102) and nothing else. Since we booked with third party maybe that was an issue. But I wouldn't know since no one has reached out and it has been a week. Would have moved hotels but nothing reasonable was available so we just "lived" with it.

- snews77 (6/5): Bait and switch? Did I get what I paid for? - Let me start with I think this is a decent hotel. The location was really nice and my stay was comfortable. However, the reason why I have given 3 stars out of 5 is mainly because I received no decent response on whether the room I got was what I selected and what was advertised. I asked 3 hotel employees and sent an email to verify my reservation with no follow up. I booked directly and selected a room that I thought included a kitchenette and selected include breakfast. Pretty sure of it. I was not able to check immediately because the receipt went to my junk folder. When I found it, it wasn’t that helpful. I was under the impression kitchenettes were standard in all rooms according to what I read and the pictures. I had a tiny fridge stuffed with for purchase items and not even a microwave. All I needed was for the staff to check into it and provide a reasonable response. I’ve waited a week and still crickets- I’m not the type of person that would pressure the staff or make a scene but I shouldn’t have to do that. So at the price I paid for 3 nights my expectations were not met. Pictures and amenities on website did not match my experience and my price.

Mali sme problém s chladničkou, personál okamžite doniesol novú. Terasu by mohli upratať spolu s izbou (za celý týždeň nebola pozametaná ani poumývaná - prach, pavučiny, stôl čierny od špiny ...). V kuchyni by mohol byť aspoň jeden veľký nôž na krájanie a doska na krájanie. Batéria vo vani funkčná iba jedným smerom, v minulosti bola pokazená, namiesto výmeny nalepili kus železa aby sa nedala otáčať oboma smermi, ručná sprcha odmontovaná.

We first started at south beach hotel which is apart of “sister properties” the website is a lie, all of the things advertised are spread across different hotels. I will leave the south beach hotel review on their page.. but basically the room was so disgusting and unacceptable that we got moved to a room at Boulan. Boulan is certainly a step up from south beach, but there is rarely anyone at the desk, difficult communication as when you do find an employee they have thick accents and they don’t answer questions clearly or explain things. Communication seemed to clear right up when a male customer was flirting with Adriana at the desk, she couldn’t respond to us in more than a few words but was a great communicator for a cute guy. The room itself looked like it was a quick flip with cheap, poorly made upgrades that are already breaking. Doorknobs are falling apart, things attached to the wall are hanging on by a thread and the room was filthy (mold in the shower, thick dust on the light fixture, just overall unclean). The shower got cold after 3 minutes, the continental breakfast made you jump through hoops to get it with no explanation. The rooftop pool is poorly maintained, the rooftop “bar” is a stand alone backyard bar that no one was ever at to serve you. All of the outdoor furniture is worn, faded and sagging. They charged me a deposit twice. They charge an amenity fee for quite frankly, despicable, garbage things. Our entire hallway stank of trash, basic amenities were missing (like an ice machine) and the dead bolt on our door didn’t even work. I’m not sure how this is advertised as a 4 star hotel, my husband and I have stayed in nicer and cleaner motel 6 locations. Please whatever you do, do NOT book here. When we first looked to book the reviews were great so I’m not sure what has happened, but things are clearly dire and going in the wrong direction. We wasted our babymoon on this place and hope no one else ever makes the same mistake!

- girlboss2 (2/5): Beware when booking here - I had a very disappointing experience with this hotel, mainly due to poor communication and unresolved billing issues. At check-in, I was told that the room type I booked was sold out and that I was being given an upgrade. When I returned later to pick up my keys, I realized I had actually been given a downgrade, not an upgrade. I went back downstairs immediately to address this and was told there was nothing they could do and that I would need to speak with a manager. Unfortunately, I was told the manager would not be available until the next day—the day I was checking out. The room I originally booked specifically included a balcony, ocean view, and a kitchen. The room I was given had none of these features. I had already purchased food to cook, expecting to have a kitchen, and that food ultimately went to waste. On the morning of checkout, I again asked to speak with the manager and was told she was not available. I was given an email address and have since emailed (EMMAR@BOULANMIAMI.COM) three times and attempted multiple phone calls, all without any response. I am repeatedly told the manager is “not available.” All that was needed to resolve this was a refund of the price difference between the room I booked and the standard room I was given. Instead, my concerns have been ignored. At this point, I paid a premium price for a room I never received. Very poor customer service and follow-up. Beware when booking here—make sure you actually receive the room you paid for.

We stayed in a penthouse room and this was ok with good views and facilities. The rooftop pool needs some attention and appears to be somewhat run down. Again the gentleman on the bar was less than helpful. The location is good, only one block from south beach. The courtyard area is dirty and definitely needs a refurb. The orange tree restaurant was lovely and the staff were so helpful. Maybe they could train the hotel staff. We wouldn’t stay here again

- Artur (5/5): In general you pay for location, and median level service that isn’t meeting expectations - Location was great, walk 2 min to beech and perk, great food around the corner, pool on a roof was warm, clean, access was easy , bar at a pool area only serves drinks, no food , pricey, barmen refused to make drinks that was not on a list in menu. In general stuff was nice, but many times front desk was empty and I couldn’t find anyone responsible to talk to, valet parking was ok (obviously overpriced), front desk person did not knew how to get ahold of them before 8am, I had to walk to garage and take care of it by myself. In general place kept clean, looks like it used to be nice place , but it need some renovations Mold In my shower, shower handle broken, sink broken, shower door did not closed completely and water run underneath it all away on a floor, making paddle every time we showered (4 people in a room) I went over all of their towels to clean the floor, told them about problem, they did nothing At lest cleaning personnel was nice and did great job everyday changing new towels and wiping the floor Walls and ceiling in bathroom moldy and paint is peeling off , large bubbles, some flies in bathroom from wetness (we turn on warmth in a room to dry it out) Electric outlet was not working next to sink so I had to dry my hair in a room next to fridge I told them that there are major electrical problems with outlets and wires in that room 222 , light is flicking in a ceiling when on and all outlets are sparkling when plugging in or out , the outlet next to bed had wired exposed as plastic cover keep falling off Seems like rooftop pool area can be rented by someone else and may not be available to use for hotel guests , there were snacks and drinks in a room for us to use, but beware you will be charged for it , same stuff you can buy in CVS around the corner 1/2 price It was way too pricey for all of those issues

Para colmo, el ascensor está dañado desde hace quién sabe cuánto y obligan a subir escaleras sin ofrecer ninguna solución. El desayuno está “incluido”, pero si uno no exige la tarjeta que ellos mismos deberían entregar, simplemente te lo quitan. Una práctica muy sospechosa. Y lo peor: una camisa desapareció en el área de la piscina y la recepcionista se negó a revisar cámaras con una actitud tan arrogante y grosera que da vergüenza ajena. Esa empleada es la definición perfecta de anticliente; no debería estar ni cerca de un mostrador. En conclusión: servicio pésimo, cero profesionalismo y una completa falta de respeto. No volvería ni aunque me lo regalaran.
- 712rebeccaz (10/5): Hidden gem in the center of everything - The Bulan is centrally located in South Beach. It’s close to everything yet enough away that you can have quiet time. The junior suite with Terrace is huge. It has a kitchenette with a decent size refrigerator. I had two TVs in my room and it just felt very cozy. The beach is a block away. The surrounding area is beautiful. There are beautiful gardens that belong to the hotel. Everyone that works. There is so kind and helpful except for one person. The restaurant that’s attached is outstanding.

- lavenas (2/5): Stole money from me!!!! Do not stay here!!!!! - I recently stayed at this property on 11/15-11/16. This hotel has gone down tremendously!!! The hot water went out completely in our room. After notifying the front desk more than once and waiting over an hour for someone to come “look” at it. He did nothing. The smoke detecter began to beep very loud. We notified the front desk about that and no one ever came to see or deal with that. After the hot water went out again and our entire evening went to waiting on someone to fix it I had to ask for a different room. I was moved to another room. Upon going to this room I had to go to the front desk 3 times because the room key didn’t work. After getting into the new room I asked for an iron because the one in the room was broken. I was told someone would bring me one. As I and my boyfriend had dinner reservations at a very fancy steakhouse. No one never brought the iron after I went downstairs twice for it. I wasn’t given this iron until 20 mins before checking out. After going downstairs for the 3rd time for it. I was not given a print out of my check out. I asked the young lady with glasses to refund me the resort fees for the horrible experience that my boyfriend and I recieved during this stay. I went on a 7 day cruise upon checking out of this hotel charged me a felonious charge of $259.I booked this hotel through Priceline I called the front desk and they told me they don’t know what this charge is for. This whole experience has caused me enormous amounts of anxiety and frustration and sadness. I’m already waiting for the incidental charge to be returned to me. I told the front desk rep I wanted the resort fee reimbursed to me because of this horrible experience. My boyfriend and I are celebrating our birthdays. Do not stay here!!! I’m a returning customer!!!!!! Do not stay here!!!!!!!
