Guest Reviews
- Kenneth (9/5): Very pleasant, would highly recommend!👍 - Didn’t take breakfast. No tv
- Patrick (10/5): Great staff and location! - Staff was outstanding and went above and beyond! Great location This is a great place to stay while in Woods Hole, no negatives really.
- Sarah (10/5): Fantastic location and great comfort with the added bonus of a lift to the bus when we checked out 😊 - Location was fantastic and the bed was extremely comfortable
- Cynthia (10/5): Perfect with great restaurants nearby and ferry - Comfortable beds, great location and attentive staff
- Naomi (7/5): -
- Ahearne (10/5): -
- Susan (9/5): Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Liked the 50s look. - I liked the windows front and back. The mattress was mushy and had a crevice from wear. The toilet was old and very low--hard for old people to get up.
- Zbynek (3/5): Poor -
- Brandon (10/5): 10/10 would visit again - This place was wonderful! It looked just like the pictures online and had a nice comfy feel to it. The shower gel smelled really nice. The floor had a nice cushy feel to it. All of the staff members were wonderful, I think Anna and Amanda were the ones to take care of us? There were a few different clerks and all of them went well over the top to make us feel welcomed. They deserve a raise! The campfire area in the parking lot was also really nice. The housekeepers also did a great job resetting everything and making our pillow pets comfy. It was only a few minutes from the waterfront and really captured the town’s aesthetic in its own unique way. I guess it could have been a little bigger? For the price I was hoping for something a little more spacious but it did have a nice cozy setting to it. The layout was identical to a place I stayed at in another shoreside location but much higher quality.
- Alena (9/5): Superb -
- Shawna (8/5): Aged but friendly - The staff was amazing! Whatever we needed they delivered!! So friendly, kind and accomadating The bed was very uncomfortable. The bathroom lighting was subpar. The facilities were aged for the price we paid
- Karl (10/5): We loved it and will come again. - We really liked the room, the furniture, the color scheme, the curtains… everything! We appreciated the little lovely touches such as the lamps, chairs, all the things that together made us feel comfortable and welcome. Thanks!
- Anonymous (7/5): It was the perfect space for a short visit to the cape. Close to everything we wanted and the employees were very accomm - The property was perfectly located! Just a short walk to the town or 10 min drive to Falmouth town. My boyfriend and I enjoyed the outside area with a fireplace and corn hole boards! We did have an issue with the air conditioning in our room, making it unable to sleep it. But the employees were amazing with responding to a late night call and was able to get us a new room for the night.
- Volha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Felipe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Linda (3/5): felt cheated - when I was looking to book it was full but there was a room on booking . com so I reserve it .. come to find out there were plenty of rooms and I was charged a higher rate on booking.com very upset. property was nice liked the island where fire pit was
- Ot29 (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brigid (5/5): Passable -
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Neil (3/5): Overpriced motel for Convenient location - The location walkable to the Martha’s VineyardFerry and the included bikes (when available) were nice. The room was very small and the pictures made it look much better than it is. The bathroom and especially shower were tiny and essentially unusable. The appearance was renovated but otherwise the room is an average low cost motel for a lot more money. They advertise no tvs in the room for social bonding but really the walls are so thin that everyone would be complaining about the noise. They have a lot of rules that are unnecessary to send to you 10x before your stay. Everyone knows how to stay at a hotel.
- Barry (9/5): Superb -
- Ines (8/5): Overall we had a nice experience and would return. - The room was just what we needed for our weekend getaway. Good size, clean and comfortable. Close to the center of town (Woods Hole) and just a 5 min drive to Falmouth center. Check-in and check-out was easy and staff was friendly. The shower was a little too small and lighting was not very good around the shower.
- Marta (8/5): -
- nathan (10/5): - Really clean, modern and comfortable.
- Scott (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay very much
It was quiet , vey clean and in a central location to the things we were doing
The rooms were very cute and nicely decorated
We for sure will be back
- Rene (10/5): - Great location! Beautiful place! We will definitely return!
- Gilbert (10/5): - Easy parking and access. Area is very walkable, although not too much was open. Very few options for dinner but both coffee/bakery shops were great.
- Katherine (10/5): Great people and location - Incredible customer service. The front desk was so helpful and they helped me plan my day trip to Martha’s Vineyard, complete with maps, restaurant suggestions and ferry tickets that I could purchase at the hotel. They also helped us sign up for whale watching. It was an easy walk to the ferry and restaurants in woods hole. As others have mentioned the shower is small and there wasn’t a tv in our room. The nice thing about no tv is that our neighbors didn’t have one either so it was quiet and restful. Accommodations were simple but clean.
- John (10/5): Great place to stay! - Great place to stay that was right near the steamship authority ferry to Martha's Vineyard. The rooms were also recently renovated and updated.
- DANIEL (10/5): Great little motel - This is a updated motel - not 5 star but satisfactory in every aspect. The staff was excellent. We were allowed to park there while we went to Martha's Vineyard ($25). Only a 5 minute walk to the ferry and small town.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Comfortable & Clean @ the Cape - Treehouse Lodge was very clean and rooms are updated with pleasant decor. Having a mini-fridge was an added bonus. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the ferry terminal and we were able to spend a whole day on the Vineyard. The little town area near the ferry offers coffee shops and restaurants. Amanda and Quinn both went above and beyond in regards to communication about our upcoming stay, via email, and even a personal phone call. We had two rooms rented and one room was having an issue with the a/c unit. They offered to provide fans, comp the room, or to book us rooms at another nearby hotel. In the end we opted to stay at Treehouse Lodge and they provided multiple fans for the one room and it was all fine. Their fire pit / corn hole area was a nice little oasis and the kids were able to roast s'mores one evening (s'more kit kindly provided by the Lodge). We had a very nice stay and would definitely stay here again next time we visit the Cape.
- Robert (10/5): Beautiful Lodge - The Treehouse is excellent. Our only criticism is that the bathroom, specifically the shower stall was very small. I don't know if all rooms are the same but ours was small.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Tree House greeted us nicely, and we were ready to go to sleep, and get the ferry the next day. Simple clean quarters.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The stay was awesome the staff was awesome the room was amazing had a great time 5 minutes away from the ferry that was an A looking forward to come back again
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I liked the style and friendly staff. A TV on the room would have been nice. Otherwise it was really comfortable and relaxing.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Conveniently located near the Martha's Vinyard Ferry
- Mary (8/5): Safe clean and comfortable - Lovely staff! Clean and safe.
- Stephanie (10/5): - A quaint and clean place. They were very helpful. And very convenient location to the ferry.
- Elizabeth (8/5): Great place to stay - Place was amazing, location was perfect. The only thing missing was a TV in the room
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Call from Staff to alert me to office hours. Very friendly staff. Great location.
- William (10/5): Most excellent! - Quick overnight, but the staff was super friendly and helpful!
- Deb (8/5): Great location and friendly staff - The staff was absolutely amazing. I felt like we were coming to visit family. We booked on hotels.com, but when we showed up, it was as if they were personally waiting for us. They gave great information about the local area. This is a mom-and-pop type of the place. The rooms aren't anything exciting, but we thought it was adorable. Kind of like staying at grandma's house.
- Fiona (10/5): Very welcoming and comfortable. - Very warm welcome at check-in. Lots of useful information about the local area given which proved to be very useful. On check-out we were also given recommendations for the next stage of our trip which was also very useful and much appreciated. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean.
The location is great, only a short walk from the ferry to Martha's Vineyard and from a great wee bakery which has long opening hours and exceptionally tasty bakes - including some vegan ones (just as well, as Woods Hole seems to shut down in October; even the pub / tavern was shut!)
The only small negative of our stay was that the pool was closed - but it was October. It felt very warm to us though and I'd have loved a swim.
We'd definitely stay there again and explore the wider area, and I definitely recommend Sleepy Hollow Motor Inn to others.
- robyn (4/5): - It was fair at best; a little pricey for what it offers
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Clean, but old needs to be upgraded. Rooms small, tvs small carpet and bathrooms need to be upgraded.
- Debra (8/5): Would stay again! - We stayed here on the spur of the moment, and was pleasantly surprised. A bit pricey for what you spend for a regular motel, however, for Labor Day weekend and location, it was a bargain. Good size room, very clean, nice bathroom!
- jeh (6/5): Convenient lodging. - Convenient to Martha's Vineyard ferry. Most rooms Very small and basic; a few spacious rooms. Helpful staff. Very clean but not new.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Old fashioned motel near the ferry - Nice staff and pool. Close to Woods Hole but overpriced
- Southie (6/5): Road race stay - On arrival we were greeted by happy host in the office. Overall the motel was satisfactory for a last-minute booking of a room for the night during the Falmouth Road race. The room was clean although the bed is not very comfortable and the pillows are the size of TicTac's, but hey it's not the Marriott. The location was pretty good as it is relatively close to Falmouth Center.
- jessie (10/5): Be back soon - The staff was awesome
- jon (8/5): what you see i what you get - Simple, no frills motel which hasn't been touched by the modern world. The heating was old but effective the room was very clean and everything worked! The staff were helpful to a fault gave us excellent advice on where to eat and other advice on things to do.
After a good night sleep we were on our way. What more could you ask for.
- Dan (6/5): Nice clean motel near ferry to Martha's Vineyard. - Motel is well situated near ferry landing to Martha's Vineyard. Town of Woods Hole is a nice place to spend the night before boarding.
- Shonali (10/5): Clean quaint motor inn walking distance Woods Hole - My boyfriend and I were in Woods Hole for a wedding and barely in our room but we did enjoy our small but clean, sweet old timey motor inn room. The rooms are spotless. We could open our windows to have the fresh air fill our rooms. There is the faint scent of must from the age of the room but for the money this was a great value. Walking distance from Woods hole shopping restaurant area. Nice clean pool. We would stay again. there is no bath but a shower stall w great water pressure!
- Deborah (6/5): - overpriced for what you get
- Verified traveler (4/5): Too much. - Not worth the money we paid.
- Andi (10/5): Woods Hole Motel - An old motel but absolutely spotless. Staff were extremely courteous and went out of their way to accommodate us. Could not hear traffic even though we were on a busy street. We were able to walk into town in less than five minutes.
- Dawn (10/5): Overnight getaway - Very pleasant. Close to ferry and restaurants. Clean room, quiet location and staff was great. Would stay again.
- Thelma & Martin (8/5): excellent situation for the ferry, - no breakfast provided but only 5 minute walk to ferry and brilliant café with good range for breakfast etc, and stayed open late in the evening as well for food after the ferry
- Maryann (10/5): Best motel in Woods Hole - Walking distance to Wooss Hole. Had availability when all other motels were booked, very affordable too. Clean, everything felt new, shady, geraniums in window boxes, friendly staff. Stayed two times and my first choice next trip.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Got in late due to bus delays but was just right to relax after long ride before trip to vineyard
- Paul (8/5): - The staff were very nice and friendly. Our room was very clean and smelled clean and fresh. I was happy to find a coffee pot and a hairdryer in the room (though I didn't use the hairdryer}. thank you -Angela
- Verified traveler (6/5): Quaint - Was ok but room was cramped and had the most ridiculously small shower stall that I have ever had to use. Literally stuck my leg out through curtain to shave legs - could not bend over at all. Back was literally touching back wall of enclosure. Office person said other rooms had larger ones but for more money. Place was convenient to our destination however.
- Dean (4/5): A trip back memory lane (old memories) - It's a quaint town and a quaint motel. The bed was a double bed and it was very old. It had the basics & nothing more. We had high expectations and this is a 60s era motel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Bring your own pillow. Beds a hard.great location. Clean pool.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean and Convenient - Had to go to Woods Hole for work and the Sleepy Hollow Motor Inn was the perfect choice. The room was clean and well-kept and the location was very convenient. Would definitely recommend!
- Mark (8/5): Very comfortable and close to town - The staff is pleasant, the rooms are dated but clean. It is an easy walk to town for restaurants and a great bakery. I would stay again.
- Leslie (10/5): Lovely, clean inn - This was a lovely hotel. Clean, comfortable, safe. Excellent location. The staff was warm, welcoming and helpful.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ok hotel - There aren't a lot of choices if you want to stay in the village of Woods Hole. My family stayed here for 4 nights. We were comfortable enough although needed to request more pillows. The hotel is old and needs updating, but it's clean and staff are very nice.
- Jeffrey (6/5): Convenient to Woods Hole and ferry - Clean basic hotel convenient to Woods Hole. Friendly owner.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice Location - Just looking for an inexpensive room for the night. OK for that, no more. No heat in the room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very cute 60's style kitschy motor lodge. Rooms are basic but very comfortable
- Verified traveler (6/5): Very good for the cost - My second stay at Sleepy Hollow. I got up to catch ferry over to the island. Was able to leave my car there for the day at no additional cost! Within walking to ferry and resturants.
Bed and pillow both too firm for me. Room was clean. Good job Housekeeping. Front Desk Staff was Wonderful and helpful.
