風景も良かった 特に無し
- Annette (10/5): Trip to Hakuba Valley - Comfortable rooms with access to the kitchen for making your own meals. We loved the big bath (onsen), which was booked in half hours allotments per room, to use without other guests. Bikes are available to access Hakuba Valley or you can utilise the local buses and taxis. We hired a car which made access easier
- Jan (10/5): - We particularly liked the fresh bread and home made jams at breakfast. Otherwise the setting, atmosphere and staff were lovely.
- Karolis (10/5): -
- Jozzi (9/5): Gorgeous! - So beautiful and cozy. Breakfast was great and staff were super friendly Location was a bit difficult. Shuttle buses available during the day, but past 5pm taxi was only option and was always difficult to get a taxi. If you were to go in and out of Hakuba town
- Rachel (10/5): Great service - Friendly and helpful Nothing but maybe bed bugs. Lots of bites
- Oliver (10/5): -
- Omar (10/5): Amazing property with even more amazing hosts! A lovely family business who go the extra step to take great care of the - The Property was stunning! A very unique and Eco-Friendly building. It pair rustic decor with modern facilities and both the property and it’s location were beautiful. - Sarah (10/5): Delightful! - Delightful in every way. Long to go back in the winter to see Il Bosco buried in snow.
The wonderful owners, Naomi and Koki, could not be more hospitable. So helpful and kind. Freshly baked bread at breakfast and great pasta for dinner.
I feel very nostalgic about my stay.
- Oliver (10/5): -

- Stephen (8/5): Good - Nice staff
Peaceful location
Clean rooms
Nice home made bread for breakfast
Lovely hot bath to use as you wish.
Fire pit in the woods. Found it tricky to find restaurant open near by at night in the summer, as the hotels kitchen is shut three days a week.
- Tam (10/5): Superb!! -
- Tam (10/5): Superb! - Amazing place! I spent around 1.5 month there (probably one of their longest-stayed guest) for the ski season from mid Feb and It felt like a luxurious home. Koki and Naomi were super nice and friendly, and they kept the fireplace going every night so that you always feel the warmth. I invited my friend over to taste the heavenly dinner prepared by the hosts and they even didn't charge me for my dinner nights because of my long stay, which was very generous and sweet of them. The lodge was super well-quipped and so its very good for long stay too. It was hard to leave the beautiful place; would definitely love to return if I have the chance! Thanks a lot for the lovely experience! nothing!!
- Oleksandr (10/5): Exceptional -
- Apollo (10/5): Quaint, fairytale like accomodation in the middle of the forest! - Overall the place exceeded our expectations. The whole place is spotless and our room is huge and very clean :) What made this place the best among the places we stayed in Japan is "Kiko". He is the caretaker of the place and he made sure that we are taken care of. From making our breakfast every morning and made sure the place are very clean and amazing. There is also a private onsen in which you can enjoy by yourself :) I would highly recommend this place and would stay there again if I return in Hakuba. The only downside is the distance of the bus stop which is around 15-20 mins walk, but Kiko again save us by driving us around. 11/10
- James (7/5): Good -
- Allira (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peta (10/5): Exceptional - Whole stay was wonderful. Comfortable spacious room. On-site onsen bath fabulous after day on slopes. Excellent continental breakfast with homemade bread daily. 2 fireplaces and small lounge areas. Definitely recommend
- Yi (9/5): Perfect accomodation for skiing in Garyu. - We are a couple who stayed here for 10 days during a skiing holiday in Goryu, Hakuba. The property which is located in a forest setting within walking distance of Goryu resort is very comfortable with a homely feel. The actual wood fire in the sitting room adds to the warm ambience. Our en-suite and bedroom are clean, warm and cosy. Toiletries and towels are provided. The complimentary continental breakfast includes cereals, homemade bread, jam, fresh baguette, fruit juices, fresh fruits and coffee. There is a fridge and kitchen for self use. The shuttle buses run by Goryu resort pick up and drop off on the doorstep of Bosco. We are coming back.
- James (8/5): Very good -
- Ling (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful place with very nice owner! Would definitely come back again! 😍
- Mael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Simon (10/5): Fantastic host, lovely place would stay again! - Lovely staff, very helpful. Walking distance to Goryu Escal ski field with free bus that stopped right out front. Hot tub for private use. Comfortable and homely. A little out of the way from Echoland / Happo if you want the nightlife.
- Chang (9/5): Superb -
- Renee (10/5): Loved everything about it!!! - Koki and Naomi were lovely. Beautiful homely quiet place to stay. The hot bath is AMAZING Nothing. Il Bosco is perfect
- Amanda (10/5): Great hosts Koko and Nomi looked after us well. So friendly and helpful. - The property has a dining room, a big bath, lounge with fireplace and large rooms. A drying room for wet snow gear. Was our chalet in the snow. There is some walking needed from this location. Bring your shoe spikes so you don’t fall over
- Nat (10/5): 12 days - Private Onsen
- Steven (10/5): Amazing place , incredible host , delicious food.. - Quaint , warm, homely, private onsen ,incredible host. Thank you Koki for an amazing holiday ! could not fault anything .
- Parvathi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional - It was perfect 👍
Home made breakfast, best atmosphere in the snow and the owner are so nice !
They have us a ride in and out to the station and were just so nice with us.
Thanks
- Etienne (9/5): Superb - Excellent breakfast with home made fresh bread. Delicious! And dinner with pasta with local products.
- Teerawat (10/5): Very pleasant, love everything, highly recommended - We like everything accept the toilet in our room is a bit small (but very clean) The toilet in our room is a bit too small
- Gillian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (9/5): Superb -
- Marco (9/5): Superb -
- Danny (9/5): pleasant and relaxing. quiet during summer - Washer and dryer for laundry. In door onsen for use was relaxing. Eco friendly insulation. Nice comfortable common areas to hang out. Delicious continental breakfast. Common fridge for use. Location is not walking distance to any shops. Be prepared to drive or cycle to get around. Stayed during summer.
- Eva (9/5): Cozy, Casual, Eco Lodge in the Woods Welcomes You - Loved the location in the woods, the high lodge ceilings, the breakfasts with freshly-baked bread and good coffee and teas, the public spaces, the hot tub, being able to ride their old mountain bikes around town. Koki gave us a ride to and from the train station, plus guidance on where to hike. Koki is a good cook (pasta for dinner) and was able to accommodate my husband’s vegan diet. He was very nice to us.
- Kristy (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was amazing. Clean and comfortable. Good location - I waked to and from the lifts each day. The hosts were amazing - station pick up/drop off, loan of ski helmet, fridge stocked with beer and of course the amazing bread each morning. Look forward to returning!
- Chua (10/5): Exceptional -
- Florian (9/5): Excellent stay - The owner was very friendly
The overall atmosphere of their hotel was nice and homey
We loved the private hot bath and sitting by the fire place
- 钰慧 (10/5): Exceptional - This truly is a fantastic and cozy forest cabin. The entire cabin has a two-story structure above the ground. The interior is very large and spacious, with a generously sized common area where you can find almost everything you could think of, including laundry and drying facilities which are a significant plus. The cabin's indoor space is ample and adequate. I believe even if you don't ski, you could easily spend an entire day here. All the structures inside have been carefully designed by the owners, Neomi and Koki, and are very eco-friendly. After a day of skiing or outdoor activities, you can also book a free session to enjoy the "BIG BATH," a very special private bath experience. The location is very close to the GoRyu ski resort, within walking distance. Furthermore, Neomi kindly drove us to Happo-one on the days when the shuttle service was not available, which was truly great. Moreover, there's no need to worry about transportation between the station and the accommodation, as there's a pickup and drop-off service for check-in and checkout. The custom breakfast was fantastic; we really liked it and highly recommend it. I hope to have the chance to visit this beautiful cabin again in the future.
- Shuhan (9/5): Superb - The owners were very nice and helpful. They pick us up from the bus station when we arrived, and drove us there when we were leaving. The room was nice and big, and I love the 24-hour onsen! The shuttle bus stop is just right in front of the hostel (but only 1 bus on 8:30 each day, what a pity) It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk to the ski resort though. Its very far from any shop or convenience store. So you have to have dinner either at the hostel or ski restaurant. (But the breakfast and dinner they offer was super nice!) And it's not really a ski-in/out hostel because first its not too friendly for snowboarders due to some flat slopes, second when the snow melts you can see the road in the middle of the way, and when it gets too dark its easy to get lost and I think its kinda dangerous because of the poor cellphone signal in the forest.
- Anthony (9/5): Great place and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. - Koki was an excellent host and very attentive and helpful with our needs. Room was large warm and comfortable with a good view into the forest. Easy access to Goryu plaza ski lift with the bus stop just outside at 8:30. Possible to ski back to the property through the forest. Breakfast with lovely freshly baked bread, fruit, cereal and tea/coffee all you need for a great start to the day. Big bath after a days skiing was great. Cannot recommend highly enough. Suggest dressing gowns are provide to go down to the big bath.
- Joshua (10/5): Excellent! - The hosts were amazing, always happy to help and were so kind! That made us feel extremely welcome, cooked a beautiful breakfast and dinner!! Nothing, keep doing what your doing!
- Garrett (10/5): Perfect stay in Goryu - Cozy atmosphere
Comfy rooms
In-house onsen
Healthy breakfast with home made bread
Morning and evening fires
Ski trail back in
Exceptional, devoted hosts Nothing
- Johannes (10/5): Beautifully cozy stay in the mountains with Italian vibes. - Cozy, comfortable and simple stay. Loved the facility & vibe.
- Hayley (8/5): Good value for money - Koko and his wife lovely and friendly people.I broke my ankle whilst I was there skiing and they were very helpful with transportation etc.
Awesome home made bread for breakfast
- Elshia (10/5): Perfect winter ❄️ - Everything, the room was perfect and warm, koki and Naomi give us excellent service..koki also cook very good dinner and bake a very niceeee bread.. the most delicious bread I ever had in my life.. his bread is a must!!
- Jenna (10/5): Exceptional - We absolutely loved everything about Il Bosco. Being so far away from home, this truly beautiful place felt just like home.
Koki and Naomi were the most hospitable hosts, along with taking so much pride in providing a sustainable approach in their accommodation. Their renovations have decreased their carbon footprint by 70%.
The rooms were beautiful and clean and large, and the public bath was very nice after a long day, along with a warm tea by the fire with plenty of books to read.
Each morning, there was homemade hot fresh bread right out of the oven with homemade spreads. The choice to order also from the egg menu which was cooked to your liking. There was also fresh fruit and cereals to choose from.
Dinner was served most nights at a very affordable price. You never walked away hungry.
Very close to Goryu ski fields and many local restaurants.
We were very sad to leave as Koki and Namoi made us feel right at home along with the other guests. We will be back in a heartbeat. Highly recommend! Loved everything. 😍
- Massoud (9/5): Superb -
- Kylie (10/5): Exceptional - Koki and Nomei could not have been more lovely to me. They were both so welcoming and kind
- Kerry (8/5): It was fantastic thanks again for your hospitality - Ill Bosco is a very warm cozy and comfortable accomodation. Nomi and Koki are lovely hosts who are very helpful and welcoming. The shuttle to Goryu and the bus that leaves from the plaza makes it easy to get around if you don’t have a car. Koki cooks simple Italian fare but there are a few restaurants and bars in walking distance. Just take some snacks/lunch with you as there is no 7eleven or mart nearby
- Harry (9/5): Perfect accommodation for an eco-friendly, quiet get away to the snowfields. - The big bath was amazing and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Dinner has a home-made touch and is delicious! A shuttle leaves from the front door step to take you to the slopes but if you miss the shuttle it's only a 10 minute walk.
- Rainer (10/5): An authentic Japanese alpine experience. - Gorgeous, authentic Japanese alpine chalet with spacious bedrooms overlooking the forest. Amazingly friendly and genuine hosts who provide a sumptuous breakfast with homemade spreads and condiments, and daily fresh-baked bread. Cannot recommend more highly. Thank you Koki, Naomi and Cliff!
- Erico (9/5): A pleasant hotel for skiing in goryu. - Naomi picked us up from Kamishiro station which was very helpful and also dropped us at the bus stop on our check-out day.
The breakfast and dinner are great. Koki-san and Naomi-san are very friendly and happy to help us if we have any questions.
There is a bus stop in front of the hotel that can drop us into Goryu ski resort. If you want to go to the other resorts, you need to take another bus. I think it would be great if there were bidets installed in toilets. But we don't have any other complaints
- Claire (9/5): Like staying with family - Staying at Il Bosco was like staying with family. You immediately feel like you’re home. Koki and Naomi were lovely, and really helpful with anything you needed. We made lots of friends with the other guests too. The food Koki makes is absolutely delicious. Fresh bread every morning was delicious and more than satisfying. After a long day skiing it was nice to be able to go downstairs, take a big bath, then get into your track suit pants and have dinner and a red wine. Everything is clean and well organised.
Koki and Naomi picked us up and dropped us back to the bus stop when we arrived/departed. Plus they dropped us down to the snow monkey tour.
They also bought us free ice cream when they had friends over for dinner one night even though none of us guests had been bothered at all.
Cannot fault Koki and Naomi for their work in running this place. They are really lovely and work so hard to keep everyone happy. Nothing against the property but worth mentioning: Getting around was harder than I thought. As I was travelling with a child, after skiing all day we were quite tired so we didnt venture out even into Hakuba as it would have been quite an effort to arrange. Taxis are difficult to get and we heard people say restaurants in Hakuba were booked out.
Even getting to and from Iimori by bus (if you’re not confident to walk/skii) took about an hour even though it’s super close. In saying that, Koki did offer to drive us one day. Just something to be aware of, but still worth it to stay here I think.
- Corin (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing home like feel super relaxed with outstanding service and nothing was a problem.
- Josh (9/5): Stop looking for accommodation, just stay here - Koki and Naomi made it feel like home.. fire was always lit and they created at cosy environment throughout the lodge. Convenient location for Goryu and 47 and Koki was always willing to offer assistance to get you elsewhere. A welcome little paradise in the crazyness of Hakuba The bed was a touch firm for our liking but that’s personal preference. Hardly a negative worthy of being a deal breaker!
- Dominic (10/5): Nice and Cozy Stay - Really nice and cozy place to stay. Koki is very nice and friendly and will always try to answer our queries. Also love their private bath after a day of snowboarding.
Morning and evening shuttle bus between hakuba goryu ski resort and Il Bosco, makes the it easier to get to and back from ski resort (otherwise it will be a 15mins walk).
- Jacob (10/5): Exceptional - Was an amazing place. Koki and his wife were amazing and very helpful. I will 100% stay hear only the next time I'm in hakuba
- Patrick (10/5): Koki and Nomi are wonderful, so friendly. Loved the breakfast (got the omelette), free coffee / tea, - Breakfast, free coffee/tea. Desk and chair in the room for working. Nice quiet common area and fireplace. Great wifi
- Wyn (9/5): Superb - Firstly, consider this the warmest lodge you can find in hakuba during winter. The insulation is top notch. You will see an explanation on how they did it in the laundry room with words and images.
Laundry, coffee, tea, biscotti, muffin, drinks available for you. Help yourself with that. You pay a small amount of money for using the dryer but the washing machine is free to use. Helps us alot while traveling n having fresh clothes to wear.
Breakfast is basic with the best baguette I've ever tasted.
Order in advance if you would like the hot breakfast which consist of different types of eggs.
We dined out every night but spent 1 dinner here with a delicious homemade pasta. Mostly pasta dishes for dinner.
Private onsen available and you can book it on the board hung to the wall.
There are 2 living rooms for you to relax just outside the room and the other near the firewood. Very cosy, humble lodge.
A bunker to your ski gears with space to store them. Access to the outside/ground floor conveniently after wearing and taking your gears at the bunker.
Convenient location, gets a free shuttle after skiing in Hakuba Escal plaza.
Eco friendly lodge. Sustainable living environment with a lifestyle of recycling, reuse and reduce. It shows in this place.
Friendly and helpful host.
A cosy and happy stay.
We are grateful to have found this place
- Chiodo (10/5): Exceptional - We all absolutely loved our stay. Staff were amazing and food was even better. We all mentioned we would defiantly come back on our next trip. Xero
- Chelsey (10/5): Exceptional - Our stay at Il Bosco was so wholesome. They use eco friendly and organic products throughout and have a conscious eco friendly way of running it.
Naomi and Koki went above and beyond. My husband is a coeliac and so they made a delicious rice bread to cater for his dietary needs. They were happy to help with lifts to the bus stop and ski fields. It felt like nothing was too difficult or an imposition. We would happily go back to Il Bosco. Thank you!
- Sandra (10/5): Charming auberge in the forest - Amazing hosts who are focused on sustainability, lovely place, quiet and peaceful and easy access to Goryu Escal Plaza ski lifts. A few good restaurants in the area within 15 min walking distance but dinner on site also recommended. A little isolated at night which didn't bother us as we were tired from skiing.
- Jen (10/5): Highly recommend, especially if you have a car. Was such a great holiday for us! - The owners were so welcoming and friendly, breakfast was amazing with homemade spreads and overall just really comfortable Location was a bit out of the way but Kiko san went above and beyond to send us to places which more than made up for it
- Zara (10/5): Will definitely be back! - Our stay at Il Bosco was comfortable and pleasant! Kiko was a lovely host - he was friendly and accommodating, and offered numerous suggestions to all our queries and questions. The rooms were lovely and comfortable, and the common areas were cosy and had everything we needed!
- Josh (10/5): Fantastic accommodation in awesome location - Beautiful spot in great location Nothing
- Colin (10/5): The hosts were fantastic and really made our stay worthwhile. - The building was beautiful and made of wood. Also available was a proper Japanese-style bathing room just like you'd find at any public bath house. We found the location great as well; wonderfully dark and quiet at night. All the food offered was also organic, and breakfasts were included.
- Tanvir (10/5): Exceptional -
- Danny (9/5): Relax in nature. - My visit was in early September, so green season. Temperature was comfortable and not too warm even on sunny days. Bread and jam with milk and juice provided for breakfast. I thought it was simple and tasty. There is a simple booking system to use the hot tub and shower room. There was some work to remove and then replace the heat saving covers in place on the hot tub before and after use. Valuable energy saving for 1 minute effort. Able to converse with the host in some English, so as a foreign guest, it is a plus. I was the only guest, so able to freely use the washing machine. Water pressure and hot water was good. There are comfortable areas to relax, the living room, dining room and upstairs living area. Big windows to look outside, warm cozy fire place that looks wonderful in winter. No faults that bother me at all. There was some construction work on going at the time. Maybe couples with small kids might find this needs some attention due to wood and tools around. The stairs to second floor are a bit steep. This is fine for me, maybe of some concern for others. The private bathroom is a little cramped and not equipped with bidet. Not an issue for me, but might be a point for others. If I have a refrigerator and a safe in my room, that will also be nice.
- Andrea (10/5): Beautiful cottage in the forest - Koki’s place was exceptional! Big beautiful and cozy cottage in the forest. Breakfast was really delicious - homemade bread especially. We have also tried dinner which was really good as well. You can reserve onsen just for yourself. Thank you Koki and Naomi! Best accomodation in Japan :)
- Lingfei (10/5): I want to visit again and recommend to others - Nothing really
- Vladimir (10/5): cozy house with wonderful hosts! - a very beautiful house with several rooms, a big bath and a very cozy feeling! the house is - like the name would suggest - basically in a forest and therefore very quiet. the breaktfast and dinner were great and the hosts just wonderful! if you plan to stay in the „Japanese Alps“, go to Hakuba and enjoy a great stay!
- Khan (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast was great had everything. People were really nice, helpful and friendly. Facilities was great, washing machine machine, fridge, microwave etc. Stuff is labelled with instruction on how to use, makes it very easy. Location is great, in between Hakuba food shops and the ski gondola. Both easy access walking 10 mins. Have bikes let use for free, made travelling around very easy aswell. Everything was great, staff know a bit of English , communication was very easy with them
- Teodora (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely place with friendly hosts and the best freshly baked bread at breakfast. If we go back to Hakuba some day, we will definitely stay at Il Bosco again.
- Diana (5/5): Passable - Breakfast was supposedly included in the room rate, but the spread was very basic and inadequate, consisting of only bread and cereal. If you wanted a hot breakfast, you had to pay extra, which made us feel cheated. Mixed feelings about my stay at Il Bosco. This hotel had a friendly but distant atmosphere.
The hotel's location was not convenient, and only one shuttle service was available in the morning. Although the owners could drive you to other places, getting back to the hotel was inconvenient, as you had to take the shuttle service to Escal Plaza and then walk 15-20 minutes back.
Overall, while the hotel had some positives, the inadequate breakfast and inconvenient location were far from ideal. I would consider another hotel if I came back to Hakuba again.
- Jade (10/5): Cozy and great location - We loved our stay here in Hakuba. Hakuba Goryu is a 12min walk to the slopes and from here you can catch a bus easily to the other mountains. There is morning bus at 830am that stops directly out the front of the place that can take you up there also. The hosts were so lovely and helpful - they picked us up and dropped us off at the bustop and also drove us into Echoland one night for dinner. Breakfast sufficient with freshly baked bread being a highlight. The room was warm and the space was tidy. There is also a laundry and hot tub. No issues at all, we would stay again. We stayed in March and the area was quiet as it was the end of the season but we have no problems with out stay at all and our hosts had suggestions for dinner and activities.
- A.j. (10/5): Great place, recommend staying for a quiet ski lodge retreat hostel-esque vibe. - Great location close to Goryu resort. The buses around the valley made it great to get to different resorts as well. Koki was super friendly and helpful with making sure guests enjoyed their stay and offered rides to resorts in the morning as well as making a great continental breakfast.
