• Teresa (5/5): I stay there for the location. - I love the location! The staff is awesome they offer very good service. The lady at the front desk is great. The elevator was out of service. There were not enough towels for use. The direct tv and the channels offered were not as good as the Hampton inn in Lubbock. Also there was no means of charging your phone by the bed.

• Goins (5/5): - Breakfast was usual fare, as expected. The room rate was decent. The hotel overall is a very "tired" asset. Two main issues I had with the experience -- the "tiredness" and the wifi service. Tiredness: upon entering our room, I was struck immediately by an unpleasant smell like mildew or water damage, attempted to be covered by air freshener. One towel in the room had a previous guest's hair "embedded" in the terry cloth. The light in the bathroom was very dim, and the tiles in front of the shower were loose. One of the two elevators was out of service, and many of the room doors and walls inside our room are scuffed with black marks. Wifi service: the bandwidth was not even enough to allow streaming services (we could not watch a Netflix show).

The manager does not know how to manage a hotel. Hired unprofessional workers to do the job. I expected more professionalism from a Hilton brand.

Staff was friendly and I was glad it was not busy so no noise. Breakfast disappointing with no fruit or pancakes/waffles. Only fake eggs, potatoes, greasy smoked sausages, bread, yogurt, cottage cheese (?), and grits. I would pay more and drive much farther to stay somewhere else if I’m in the area again.

• Cristina (10/5): Refreshing, bed was so comfortable we were able to get rest for loved ones funeral - The comfort of the room. It was roomy, the bed was so comfortable, there was an extra blanket available, so much I liked, it hard to list it all. The only thing that was a little annoying is the checkin process. Check in was at 3, but they did shift change at 3, so we had to wait an extra 10 minutes to check in. But it wasn’t too big an issue we were able to get changed and to the visitation of a loved one on time. My only suggestion would be maybe start shift change at 2:45 or allow people to check in a little earlier.

• Rickie (9/5): Overall there were VERY minor things that made us feel off, but compared to any hotel I’ve stayed in, in my “lovely” hom - I liked the room very spacious and nice. When we got there, there was still a towel hanging on the bathroom door hook it was still damp as well as if someone just used it that morning. Housekeeping probably overlooked it, and I definitely understand that! The kitchenware was all dirty & spotty with stuff in the glasses. What else that was a buzz kill was the looks staff would give us anytime we left the room. My husband and I are covered in tattoos, I get that we got stared at a lot in public but staff were literally following my husband around during breakfast like he was a criminal about to steal something.

• southsidegiant53 (10/5): HSO - We had an early flight at MAF so we decided to try the HSO. We were very impressed! Room was clean and spacious with a full size fridge and kitchen along with a sitting area. The common areas inside and outside were very nice. They have a basketball court, pool and grills to cook on. It took us about 10 minutes to get to the airport. We will stay here again next time!

• Cristy (10/5): Perfect - The location was near everything. I felt totally safe. Room and lobby very clean. Coffee great. Quiet . The only problem was that the elevators were out and not to be fixed for a month so if you book make sure it's on 1st floor

It was an upgrade and she didn’t charge me extra. There is a $50 pet fee per night. Room spelled good and was clean. The breakfast was good and the lady brought out some snacks for the kids.
• Andrew (4/5): Not the place to stay - Nice size rooms Housekeeping was set to daily but still missed cleaning 3 days. The water did not work at the hotel for 1 day. They have not vacuumed the room in over one week and the key system stopped working multiple times along with the Hilton mobile app failing too.

The rooms were nice and air conditioned but when u stepped out in the hall it felt like the heater was on. But I didn’t stay in the hall much so overall it was perfect. Pet friendly as well!

• Trippic (8/5): Comfortable stay, with caveat. - The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Sleeping area was separated from the living and kitchen area. Good location with many restaurants within walking distance. Located near the University that has an amazing Stonehenge replica on property. The one caveat about the room is the tub/shower combo. There are no grips on tub surface and no bath mat. Upon entering tub/shower, I slipped and injured my leg resulting in a giant hematoma, golf ball sized. Reported this to front desk, showing him the injury on my leg. He said there was nothing he could do and management would be in touch. We checked out. Never received a call. After a week of many unanswered calls, we finally did get a hold of someone and the manager did return our call. She had not been informed of the incident and was apologetic. Issue was resolved. I would recommend if no mat is in bath, use a towel on the base of tub to prevent slipping. Also, there is a large mall type parking area and we were not informed there was a charge for parking. Presently it is $3.87.

• Becenti (7/5): Good - Staff was very nice. Facility is well maintained. We decided to stay another night and the girl that checked us back in asked if we wanted room service but we never got it but it's ok. Would have been nice if the pool was open. Breakfast wasn't all that great this past time.

• Galanga (10/5): Excellent stay. - Excellent one night stay. Plenty of well-lit parking, convenient location behind a strip mall (with several food choices), felt safe even with a late check in. Check in and out was smooth and friendly. Room was a good sized suite that was clean and well maintained. Having a kitchenette and some real plates and utensils was a step up from the usual hotel class even for just one night. Bed and room environment was comfortable, had a good night's sleep. Good value and stay, would definitely return.

• T4166DZmarcl (6/5): Nothing fancy, but good for the price - A fairly nice place overall. The staff seemed friendly. The room was spacious and clean. There was a ceiling fan but it was really noisy and we couldn’t sleep with it on. Breakfast and coffee were about average. My only complaint is that the total we were charged was $3.70 more than the price on our reservation confirmation. The final bill calls it a Parking Recapture Fee. Based on the price I’d say Homewood Suites Odessa is a good value and we may stay there again if we are in town.

When I checked in they asked for my credit card to cover incidentals. Before I got to the elevator, they charged it $54, woke up the next morning another $90+. They eventually reversed the charges and just charged the $4/day for parking. 2 of the 3 treadmills in the gym area were out of order.
