Guest Reviews
- Adam (2/5): - Was told they lock the door at 7pm for "safety". There is nothing around the area. The dining facility was not operational.
- Siddharth (4/5): - If you are reading this and you still choose this, you are responsible for your own sufferings. About mid night a stranger came inside the room and said you have to share room with me else pay double charge. No where it was mentioned i had to share room. But i got scared because it was midnight i dont know local language. So i made payment. Later when i called expedia they called hotel and returned my money with an apology. But a stranger entrying your room midnight is just not ok. But rooms are clean. Food below average. No service staff. If you want cheap rooms it's ok but be ready for visitors.
- Edmond (2/5): - Unfortunatly the hotel was closed i went around the hotel i saw somebody siting he said what do you want i dold him i have reservation in this hotel and showed him the print out he said who give you this reservation i told him it's on the paper hotels.com he said sorry we are closed we had agreement with Rusians but they are not coming because of war ok i told him what i will do he said i will give you a room sixth floor nbr 605 you can go and sleep there no body in the building except me no receiption no service no breakfast no nothing. it was afternoon i want to leave for dinner but i was afraid not to find anybody open the door for me.
how come you gave me booking in this closed hotel i went for business and my time is very limited.
i will appriciate if you could find solution for this matter with thanks & regards.
- Olulanu (6/5): - Pleasant swimming pool and clean room
- 84bhavyad (8/5): Good budget hotel - We spent 3 days here and it was great..right next to some great clubs and also walking distance from a beach and a bus stop. Only downside would be the lack of basic facilities like water and tea set in room. Buffet was also good.
- Hapsci (6/5): Good location but nothing special - The bar and pool area are nice but rooms are very dated. Service was good and location is great. Air con worked great during an extremely hot week.
WiFi only available in one spot in the bar and not in the rooms - a little annoying when trying to do work!
- Destination681933 (4/5): Poorly equipped & disorganized - Wish I could write more positively about this place. As many has already pointed out, the hotel is in a good spot BUT they dont utilize this opportunity to become a great middle-class hotel. We have stayed in worse rooms, this one was large enough with a nice balcony and clean. But, room was totally overpriced for its standard. For example, there was only ONE (weak and bad) light in the whole room! and the newly? Installed fire alarm, was blocked/tied up in a plastic bag.. when we asked about that, the reception told us, 'that it is a non smoking room in any case'!!!! Ha ha! Breakfast choice was good and tasty but service was completely disorganized, as if someone took a pride in not making sure anything was in the right place, we had to ask for everything from plates, coffee cups, butter etc. But service just disappeared or brought out something else. On our second morning there was hot chocolate instead of coffee coming out of the machine whatever choice you made. Pity because the coffee was actually very good on first morning. Worst of all was that we had to share a single sheet and blanket on a poor queen bed. I was cold part of the nights. When we tried to get some help to correct this, we were told there was no extra bed sheets.... Sorry guys, I dont mind 'simple' hotels, but if this place doesn't pick up on basics and quality service, ratings will go even further down. Will never stay there again.
- GIANNIS (8/5): Good choice for few days! - I prefer better quality of breakfast. But the room was clean and comfort. I loved the sea view
- FOTIOS (8/5): - Αρκετά καλό ξενοδοχείο τό πρωινό φαγητό είναι χάλια
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Terrible experience, wrong address, poor breakfast
- Verified traveler (8/5): - room was spacius and comfortable andhad a nice seaview, clean, but deco stuck in 1990s!
there was a kitchenette and empty mini fridge but nothing else, not even a glass or cup or a plate or even a teaspoon
bathroom ventilation was not working, and only toiletries was 1 small bar of soap!
- Steven (10/5): Nice hotel for the value - A good hotel for the money.
- lonal385 (6/5): Nothing special - Stayed for a week. The hotel is located in a nice place, few minutes to the beach and to the bus stop. The food for breakfast and dinner is seriously bad! I know that it’s not the hotels fault, but the stealing russians make it even worse! But the hotel is nice and clean and the staff is helpful and kind. If the issue with the food is fixed and a bit more renovation is done, it would make a super nice place to stay!
- Pamela (4/5): Dated Hotel - The hotel is really run down and in serious need of an upgrade. The housekeeping seems to only work very short hours per day. I stayed there for 4 days and my room was not cleaned at all, even though I had left the clean up sign in the door everytime I go out. To be fair, for the price they charge, can't really say too much.. Except that I would most certainly not be returning.
- Roxanne (6/5): Pleasant Stay But With Serious Shortfalls! - Very good location with sea view rooms with balcony. Rooms comfortable with good individual ac unit. Tea & coffee making facilities no longer included in room. Bathroom only equipped with soap, nothing else, not even shower gel. Bathroom and bathtub in particular desperately needs renovation. Excellent and very friendly service at the outdoor bar! Breakfast below average and disorganized. Very good free WIFI all over the hotel. Although the bed was nicely prepared, the guest has to add by themselves the top bed sheet which is disappointing and inconvenient.
- CaymanRedGuard (4/5): Unfortunately Still Not Renovated! - We stayed here a year ago and in my review I pointed out the many positive aspects of this hotel that can become a lovely hotel with some urgent and extended renovation. Unfortunately on returning a year later, we were disappointed to note that no renovation has taken place, the condition of the bathroom and bathtub in particular are totally unacceptable and generally the hotel feels likes it's crumbling away! More cost savings cuts include the removal of the very desirable coffee tray from the rooms and no shampoo/shower gel is available.
The breakfast is now below average, displayed in a very disorganized way and the service although well meaning, is unprofessional. It's really a shame because this hotel, mainly because of it's advantageous location, can become a really good hotel!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - So lala. Hotel hat schon bessere Zeiten gesehen. Klimaanlage kühlte Raum nicht richtig.
- alienor7777 (6/5): Short stay - It's an old hotel, situated very close to the beach. Friendly staff and the breakfast buffet is quite decent. They have a 24-hour reception, which is great. My room was very clean and tidy, which I appreciated.
- nataliebW2760AC (6/5): Good located, but not ideal - We stayed at Caravel for 10 nights, first time in Limassol (4th time at Cyprus). What we liked is a room with high ceiling, big balcony and sea view. WI-FI was also OK (good in room). 5 mins walk to the beach, silent area, 15 min by bus to city centre, 30 min to walk to old city Amatus. Basically th hotel is ok - but there's something to do with the meal! We had breakfast\dinner (HB), and we wondered every day: how can the ordinary meal be so untasty? Only few dishes were quite good, although evereything was fresh. It's not about a small range of food (we've seen the smaller in other places). Sometimes we had to wait for a table in the evening (lots of guests and not enough of seats), but it wasn't a main problem. So, we recommend to stay here with breakfast only or without meal.
- Ceasargr (6/5): Clean room and WC but average breakfast and staff - Hotel was rather old and of an old style.
Room was spacious with large bed and good mattress and WC was also spacious but old.
It was clean and smelled nice.
Breakfast was not that good, i would not recommend it since it was a bit anorganised and lots of things were missing.
The fact that i only found one elevator that would fit up to 3 people but usually just 2 was very irritating since most of the times we had to go up or down using the stairs and we stayed at the 5th floor.
The parking right outside is really helpful if you use a car.
Location is also good.
Wifi was good in the hotel.
Atmosphere by the pool was nice with relaxing music although I only had a coffee there.
- CaymanRedGuard (6/5): Basic but Promising! - This is a basic, budget hotel for the traveller without demands! The receptionist was indifferent, giving us a bad first impression . The room was basic in every aspect however it was spacious, had a large balcony with a nice long distance view of the sea, had a safe box, mini fridge, coffee making kit, hairdryer, flat TV screen and a good independent a/c unit. The beds and mattresses were comfortable. The bathroom however, definitely needs urgent renovation! All the fixtures are old and have the appearance of not being very clean or being incapable of further cleaning!! The swimming pool area is very pleasant with a good selection of food, all reasonably priced. The staff there (as opposed to the receptionist) were all exceptionally friendly. On the weekends the pool area gets extremely crowded because non residents are also admitted , so be prepared for loads of children!
The hotel has a good free wifi throughout which is very welcoming. Although not on the sea, most of the rooms have a very good long distance sea view. Generally the hotel is well located and with some urgent renovations, looks promising with a lot of potential.
- mrpiotrp (8/5): Well worth its price - Quite a good hotel, well situated; not in first line of the hotels, by the beach, but neither by the noisy main road... If you want to stay on the beach - 200 m; if you want to travel by intercity buses to Lefkosa or Larnaca - buses stop on the main road just 200 m from the hotel (attention ! in the morning it may happen that if the bus is full, the driver will not stop); to go to Pahos you must first find a local bus to Limassol downtown and then take an intercity bus to Paphos.
Well - that's not maybe a perfect place if you prefer spending your time in the pool, not many local amusements; I am not sure of a drink bar.... But if you look for a "harbour" from which to explore the island it is the perfect place. Go also to Chirokoitia and Amathous !!!
- 11mohamed11 (6/5): it is OK - helpful guys in restaurant, average room service and receptionist.
small rooms but it is good for people like me who just used the room for sleeping.
Good location near Starbucks avenue and steps away from the sea.
- 931haydnj (4/5): Staff very friendly but lots of work to do here before we would go back. - Pool and pool bar area very good - in the week. Weekends dont bother, full of locals who are permitted ( we were not) to take glass beer bottles around the pool area. Our room, no. 613, was adequate in size but needed some tlc. The wall paintwork marked, skirting board bodged and some electrics wiring badly fitted behind the bed. Carpet was dirty and quite old. Toilet flush had a leak so a plastic bowl was placed under the drip, no doubt it is still there. Shower was very small 2-level which was not the easiest to get in and out and the curtain almost engulfed you when the water was turned on. There is a kettle in the bedroom with tea/coffee placed alongside. Sadly this is for your arrival day only and you have to get your own supplies after that. I understand this issue is "being looked into". We only took breakfast at the hotel.Nice sized dining area and kept cool also. Choice of food was very good. Sadly practically all of the cups, saucers and plates had chips in tem and had certaily seen better days. Cutlery was often in short supply at busy times also. The hotel is nicely situated just accross from sandy beaches and a short drive into the centre of Limassol. On the day we left we encountered the oly maid we had seen during our stay. Amazing. And, by the way, they have Sundays off so you dont get you room made up that day. Very helpful staff nonetheless, management need to get thier finger out tolift this tired place up.
- 361danl (2/5): Worst hotel ive ever stayed in BE AWARE - Stayed in this hotel from the 15th of June and was meant to fly home this morning be unfortunately i cut my holiday short from this hell hole of a hotel not one word of English spoken in this hotel any quirrs i had they could not understand me i had trouble on 2 account due to me being welsh and the animosity between cpumtrys due to the Euros and nothing g go said about it hotel is very very. Dated looks like the 1900s anyone wanting to book this hotel id be very catious i had room 303 above reception carpets stinking had to go tothe doctors because of bed bites disgusting going for 7 days and having to come home after 3 i will be taking this further
- Briant31 (6/5): Friendly family hotel that is in the middle of TLC upgrading - We stayed a week at this hotel from 26 April to 4 May
It was clean friendly and the staff could not do enough for you
The hotel itself is a nice size not too big and is being upgraded and the efforts so far are first class
It is set in a wonderful part Limassol and not too far from the shops and the old town markets
The beach is about 200 yds across the road
The staff are very very friendly and great credit should go to the general manager who has mounded a good team for the job
Full variety of buffet choices for breakfast and dinner ....worth noting that the food could at times be hotter ..however .when mentioned it was corrected on the spot ...
Restaurant manager Fivos is first class and keeps everyone happy with his attention to detail and his great sense of humour
Theo is a great bar manager always there to help
Special mention to Georgious Irena and Helena all great assets to the hotel along with a very helpful understanding and pleasant natured staff
We will definitely return when it has been done up completely
Good luck team
- nektariag2016 (2/5): Mrs - Terrible bathroom!!! Terrible and dirty toilet! No towels in the bathroom, call the reception 3 times for this!!the room is ok for the money you pay. I will never stay again in this hotel. The only good for this hotel was the good position. Value of money but not good hotel
- monaa562 (10/5): Location Location - Just infront of bus station to go anywhere, 2 min walk to the beach.
I got what i needed, the room was clean, provided with tv, A/c, hair dryer.
The breakfast was nice actually. People were nice especially Mr Fawaz.
There is always somebody at the reception.
Wifi was very good, i was at the second floor, but i don't know how strong it is in the above floors.
I didn't have a view over the sea, but i didn't bother asking to change my room as i had a nice view trees & it didn't bother me anyways, because i didn't stay long in my room. I was out or in the hall socializing.
- Dianagalatis (6/5): Clean, but needs some TLC - This hotel needs some TCL, however if you ignore the dorm look, its not actually that bad, i was impressed with its cleanliness as that is a major factor. The hotel is walking distance from the sea, but about 15 min drive or 40 min walk to the old town or Marina.
If you get a good deal and have a car, not bad...its clean and there are a few places around to walk to...
Some of the reception ladies were a bit forward / abrupt, but at least they weren't in my room.... Overall for an older hotel, they doing ok with the look....could invest on a few touches to make it look more modern

- R834UHcarols (6/5): building site - we stayed at this hotel for 3 weeks, kitchen staff were wonderful especially Vivos,George and wonderful chefs. However as for management we were on the 6th floor from 6th to 27th of october 2015 and work started in lobby in our first week, then on our 3rd week we were subjected to work on our landing which was room 615 as dust sheets went down there were tools rubble obnoxious smells as workmen were doing every bathrooms in all the rooms on 6th floor. No management came to apologise or offer us another room and we were subjected to living on a building site which was totally unacceptable on our holiday. The work went on until the day before we left and its been totally miserable. The rubble in blue bags was right outside our room and the whole of the landing was completely covered in tools paint and numerous tools in fact to add insult to injury our room never got cleaned as i presume maids didnt think anyone was up on the building site floor. This should not have happened when guests were in the hotel and i think it was a disgrace. Carol from liverpool
- allaf (8/5): A good holiday hotel - Located in Amathus Avenue of Limassol opposite poseidonia beach hotel.
It is a medium size hotel, and only few minutes away from the sea and the beach.
It has a large restaurant which offers buffet breakfast, and dinner.
The rooms are very clean, and well decorated.
The hotel also has an outdoor swimming pool surrounded by well kept gardens.
The hotel is in a quite area away from noise from the main road.
- James (2/5): Cockroaches! - Hotel was dirty, dated and very tired looking. Checked in and only if time to dump bags before having to go out, however when we returned we were greeted by cockroaches in the bathroom. So at 2am we checked out and the clerk didn't seem bothered there were cockroaches and didn't offer apology or any refunded even though beds/bathroom wasn't even used by us. Spend €20 more and go elsewhere!
- roger (8/5): econony hotel - hotel has seen better days but reflected in the price
- Liz (6/5): Outdated but comfortable - Best nights sleep I have had in a long time, the bed was so comfy. Shame about the rest of the hotel though, it was like walking back in time as it was all so out of date. The ensuite bathroom was very grubby and needed a facelift. Smoking was allowed in the bar/lounge area which besides being against the law, was very uncomfortable for us. Staff were smoking in the reception and lounge areas too. The breakfast left a lot to be desired too.
