• Faith (8/5): Clean and quiet, a good value for the money. - The room was very clean and comfortable. In addition to the bed, there were two larger, comfortable chairs, and a good small refrigerator. The ventilation system worked well, and the room was quiet. There are no sidewalks along this section of 6A, but there are several good breakfast spots within a mile or so of the motel.

• SMILEY (1/5): WOST XMAS VACATION WE EVER HAD........ABSOLUTELY NOTHING GOOD ABOUT IT......AND WE USED TO GO THERE - NOTHING NO TELEVISION AT ALL WHEN WE ARRIVED XMAS EVE (UNLESS WE SPEAK SPANISH). NO XMAS SHOWS OR EVEN WEATHER !! ALSO NO PLUG IN WALL TO CHARGE LAPTOP OR RADIO DURING OUR ENTIRE 3-DAY STAY STAY. THEY SUGGESTED WE MOVE TO ANOTHER ROOM WHICH WE EVENTUALLY DID (WE HAD TO PACK UP EVERYTHING WITH NO HELP FROM THEM, AND THAT ROOM HAD NO WAY TO HANG UP ANY CLOTHES.....NO HANGERS AT ALL

• Beaudoin (7/5): I would stay there again. - The exterior of the Earl appeared to be run down, but not so much that I felt uncomfortable about staying there. However, when I entered, I saw that the entire room, including bathroom, had been renovated. Everything appeared to be new, as well as clean. The bed was spacious. The heating system hadn't been turned on before I arrived and the room was borderline chilly, but warmed quickly and was comfortable for sleeping. The exterior appeared to be run down. However, it is early in the season. Oddly enough, the property bordered a large man-made pond, fenced for domestic geese and ducks, which I didn't see when I arrived. The geese sounded off several times overnight, resembling a man-made alarm of some sort. It wasn't loud enough to wake me.

• Jan (8/5): I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the bathroom/sink area. The shower stall was very spacious - We were able to get into the room early, around 2 pm. We ate breakfast at a restaurant just down the street. The room was very clean and spacious. The refrigerator came in handy for our leftovers from supper. A microwave oven was available but we did not use it. The king sized bed was firmer than we are used to.

Just what we needed for a quick getaway.

• Jenny (9/5): - Freshly renovated and spotlessly clean room, comfortable bed, and friendly helpful staff. The grounds have a little pond that is popular with the local waterfowl, the heating/cooling unit is quiet, and the room has a Keurig, a mini fridge, and a small microwave. I hope the owners are able to spruce up the exterior of the buildings so that they better reflect how nice the rooms inside are.

• Martha (2/5): - I booked 2 nights. The room was updated although a strong mold smell was evident. I asked staff to get a room spray. Helped for a few hours. I tried a one night stay in that room but the mold triggered an allergic reaction: nasal congestion and a dry cough. Complained about it in the morning and was told there were no more rooms. There was a section of laminate flooring coming apart and very saggy and a cool breeze was coming in. I mentioned that to the desk staff. Spent another night next to opened windows…allergic reaction again with the sane symptoms including bloody mucus….

Unlike the TV whenever I stay at a Hilton hotel, there was a huge selection of TV and movie choices. What a nice perk! The check in was easy. Free water bottles were also available in the office. The only downside was a musty smell in the bathroom.

• Artur (10/5): - We were pleasantly surprised! The renovated room looked modern, the bed comfortable, and very clean. It really was a great room. Phew, so grateful for the lack of carpet. I recommend a quiet, peaceful stay, waking up to the sounds of nature and the wonderful ducks.
• Erin (6/5): Clean but unfinished? - Very clean and modern rooms. Bedding and furniture clean for roadside stay. Exteriors in need of cleaning up/ manicuring. A little *alarmed* to discover I did not have a smoke alarm. When I realized it up on the ceiling before heading to bed.. the front desk was closed and there was no one to report to other than wait to morning. A little surprised that passed inspection / opening… I had to leave early for business but was disappointed to see this.

• JohnZabjr (10/5): A 6A retro gem - Still looks a little worn on the outside but inside it’s remarkably clean and comfortable. We only stayed for one night on business and we will be back. Nicely reimagined room. Clean efficient and quiet. There were guests on both sides of us and not so much as a slammed door could be heard. Easy check in. Close to everything in Sandwich. Really a pleasant surprise!

• Loretta (7/5): Pleasant and quaint motor lodge. Throwback to the 60's when this was the thing for road travel. - The room was comfortable, clean and recently renovated. Coffee maker and coffee available in the room. Very comfortable bed. It has a little balcony that overlooked the duck pond. :-) The electrical outlet in the bathroom did not work so I had to plug in my curling iron outside the door and curl my hair in the dressing mirror. There were multiple light switches on the wall, but we couldn't figure out what they went to. Not a problem though, we had the lights that we needed. Since everything was recently renovated, it's possible the electrician just missed it. But it was sufficient.

• Kelley (7/5): Nice place - Decent accommodations. Welcoming staff. Just thought they should have a grill or two in their very nice outdoor area. Very shady spot with picnic tables and a grill would be a nice addition.
• Brown (10/5): Exceptional - The bed was super comfy, the room was recently but beautifully redone , the staff and owners were friendly and seemed genuinely wanting to know how we liked our room and the stay. The entire place is under a renovation, so it may look a little rough outside , but dont be discouraged , this place is a gem. Some of the lighting in the room needs a slightly better placement as well as a few more outlets especially near the full length mirror.
• gailfH8115XA (2/5): never will return - sadly, I will never return to a place where I have stayed for many, many years. after the business was sold to the current owners the property became run down and the mgr. is nowhere to be found. he is difficult to understand and has no sense what it takes to make guests feel welcome and at home. Don't count on even the phone being answered if you call. he dismisses any concerns (in our case loss of commercial power for several hours and never offered to move us to a building that did have power and heat. It wasn't until we and another couple insisted, and it was already dark that he reluctantly agreed. we recently drove by only to see mattresses outside visible to the street. quiet a difference from the lush landscaping and well-maintained buildings that were the mainstay for years.

• Z9559TMrichc (4/5): Long in the tooth - Photos look great, but they must have been taken 20 years ago. Now everything is very old & worn out. Everything was as clean as you can get old things clean. I picked it for the low price & have to say that the location is very good, but it made us feel like we were camping. We enjoyed our short stay, mainly because we visited with friends that we haven't seen in a long time.
