- Greg (9/5): - Located across the street from the medical center. Staff was extremely friendly and incredibly helpful. Facilities are tired and need a thorough cleaning.

- Bowen (8/5): The hotel was accommodating for what our needs were. - We had to travel to Durham for a procedure at Duke Regional. The location was perfect for where we needed to be. We were able to leave the hotel early morning to make it to the appointment. The noise was a little excessive but we made it work. There was someone in the hall or in a nearby room that was making load noises during the middle of the night.
- Felisa (10/5): -
- Audino (9/5): My staying was very good - I've been with this hotel for 3yrs every month , I was treated good Nothing

- deesamnew (10/5): We're in this together - Great place to stay, if you (unfortunately) need to go to a medical facility. Very clean, and there is an air of understanding that "we know why you are here, and we wish the best for you" (sorta like staying at a RMH), I saw a lot of mutual respect being demonstrated, by staff and guests. Only one concern, the parking lot stinks, its tight, but other than that I stay again.
- LoveTravel640227 (10/5): The Lodge is a Beautiful Sanctuary - Friendly and helpful to the maximum. Rooms are clean and lovely -- better than hotels that charge twice the price. I love this hotel. I use it when we have to visit Duke Hospital for medical treatments and they really help us reduce our stress during a stressful situation. Thank you!

- donnabS4861WD (10/5): Medical Appt - We had a medical appt with Duke Regional. we traveled the night before because we had to be there by 6:30a. The Lodge was comfortable and the staff were nice. Our visit was pleasant we would stay again if the need arises.

- wilkes (10/5): Ov the stay was pleasant close to where we were having treatment. We plan to stay again soon. - The room was clean and fresh. The restaurant in the building was a good bonus, with friendly staff. We paid when we arrived, and they charged us again when we left. The person at the desk was not familiar with the company's billing system, which was inconvenient for us. He tried to charge our card three times. He needs more training.
- Shari (10/5): - Staff was very kind Bed was very uncomfortable and prices of food extremely expensive
- Laurence (8/5): - Clean room with good temperature control Food service selection was too limited although server was polite, friendly & efficient
- Ebony (7/5): -
- Explorer47919359907 (10/5): Awesome place to stay for appointments at Duke - Awesome best place to stay if you have Dr. Appointments to go to. The shuffle is a life saver .The drivers were nice and fun to talk to
- Aimee (4/5): - It was close to hospital which is where I needed to go. The shower didn’t unclog right away when I showered resulting in standing water while I showered it did eventually unclog and the water went away but that disgusting. Also the beds the frames stick out so far, could cause someone to trip and hurt themselves. The facility just seemed outdated.
- donnatA5129VA (10/5): Great place for Duke Medical - Was there for my husband’s hospitalization. Walking distance to Duke North. Felt safe walking and a plus to leave my car at hotel. Was only supposed to be there 2 nights but ended up being 5. They were very good about letting me make reservations night by night. Rooms a good size, clean and comfortable. Highly recommend b
- Eleanor (10/5): - Room echoes and couldn't find light switch except on individual lights.
- Nancy (10/5): Will stay again. - Close to hospital. Shuttle , the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was great
- Noe (9/5): -
- Joyann (9/5): -
- Louetta (10/5): The desk employee and shuttle driver were very nice and accommodating. - Comfy beds, great location, shuttle service, and very nice staff. N/a
- Colleen (8/5): Very convenient to Duke Medical Campus and the Staff was Awesome! - Perfect location to Duke Medical Complex and VA. Also provided a free shuttle. It was loud at night with Flight For Life but we understand as these were patients needing urgent care.
- Garison (7/5): -
- rickynu2017 (10/5): Great place to stay for Duke Medical - Was there for an event a Duke Medical, proximity was perfect, the Lodge itself was perfect in terms of a place to stay for said event. Staff was friendly.
- Daniel (7/5): -
- David (3/5): - We're not told in advance but there was hardly any water pressure at all in the room it was horrible. You couldn't even take a shower it just trickled out. And they were aware of it. But they did not tell us. I take a shower every morning that morning I did not I had to use a washcloth and let the water trickle out of the sink so I could wash my face and armpits.
- ablkeee (10/5): LOCATION to Duke Medical - walk or they will shuttle you - A short walk to Duke Medical buildings, or they will shuttle you over there. The lobby is inviting ... nice area to sit and relax ... simple breakfast items can be purchased at the cafe'. We assume many guests may have complicated medical situations, so attention to cleanliness and not having self-serve breakfast is imperative! Rooms are simple. quiet, and comfortable. It's an older hotel that is well-maintained. Wonderful value.
- Amie (10/5): -
- Y6482YTdaisyh (2/5): Do not recommend - Horrible beds and pillows. Came for my husband’s surgery the night before and beds and pillows are so uncomfortable. Never in my life have I ever experienced such an uncomfortable bed and pillows. The mattress is on a hard wooden surface that slides when you get in the bed. The pillows were terrible. One was soft with no support the others were so hard it made your neck stiff. I ended up sleeping in the rolling desk chair with my head propped up against the wall.
- 41valerieh (10/5): Great property, staff and convenient location - The property shows signs of wear and tear, but everything was in working order and the interior areas are nicely decorated. Every staff member was extremely courteous and helpful.
- Donna (10/5): -
- Jim (10/5): - Excellent staff made us feel welcome and appreciated Nothing
- Stephanie (8/5): Nice - Convenient to the hospital , clean. My coffee pot didn’t work . And we had to be at the hospital before 6, so no coffee . That was my only complaint .
- DEBRA (9/5): I would go back. - Clean rooms.
Nice staff.
Coffee available at all times for people who wanted it. I didn't have any issues.
- damico_jc (4/5): Meh- - Not sure about the reviews being so good. The staff was all very nice, kind, and helpful. The room however was filthy, in need of repairs, no curtains allowed the bright lights of the adjacent parking garage to light up the room, and the mattress was hard and kind of lumpy.
- janetpA3992EO (2/5): Extreme noise - Paper thin walls, trash pickup & trains during the night, sleep is not an option, do not stay here! Rooms were very nice but noise level was ridiculous.
- jaredo674 (2/5): Bad experience - Toilet did not work I had to literally manually fix it myself every flush like the manitence guy showed me that I had to do instead of changing my room
- Noe (10/5): -
- MaryB1161 (10/5): Very happy with a weeklong stay while family member was at Duke University Hospital. - My daughter and I stayed at the Lodge while my husband was having surgery at Duke University Hospital. It was a 5 minute walk to the hospital so very convenient, we didn't have to worry about parking and could easily go back and forth from the hotel to the hospital several times a day. They also have a shuttle if the weather is inclement or you are too tired to make the walk over to the hospital. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. Staff was very accommodating.
- rosefX234SR (8/5): The Lodge - Very Accommodating - The Lodge is two short blocks to Duke Medical Center...easy walking distance. Room was clean and staff very helpful. We will definitely use the Lodge again.
- Montembeau (8/5): -
- Washington (9/5): Great value and very friendly staff. - Very convenient location. Good price. Nicely refurbished rooms. Free parking. No complaints.
- O2164KGrobertd (10/5): Clean, affordable, walking distance to Duke Hospital. - Clean, affordable, walking distance to Duke Hospital will stay again. Has transportation available for Duke Hospital. Close enough that we could go back to the room for a break between appointments.
- Y5208TTdavidb (4/5): Disappointing quality but convenient to hospital. - Physical condition of the hotel and rooms, particulalry the bathroom, is of poor qualty and showing their age. Shower was missing grout, had some black mold visible, and had debris on the floor. Sink faucet handle was stiff and hard too operate. Bed was comfortable and linens and towels were good quality. Stayed there because room prices were lower than other nearby hotels with a small patient stay discount and was within easy walking distance to the hospital.
- Matt (9/5): Good value. Great location - Close to hospital
- Phylpot (10/5): THE Place to Stay For Medical Appointments! - We only stay at The Lodge when I bring my son for his checkups at Duke. It’s always pristine throughout, in the lobby as well as the rooms. Friendly & efficient staff. Comfortable beds and great accessible rooms. Best part is the shuttle to take & pick you up at Duke so you don’t have to worry about traffic & parking.
- Ervin (10/5): Awesome place to stay!! - The location was perfect for my husband's appointment at Duke! There are many restaurants that will deliver and My husband and I both were impressed by how well we slept during our stay! I will absolutely recommend this hotel and if needed will stay here again!
- nancybJ7093EU (10/5): Enjoyable and will go back - I am from Clinton, NC. Had a 7:15 appointment at the Cancer Center. The Lodge furnished transportation to the Cancer Center. He was very nice. Everyone was really helpful and the room was very nice. Will use The Lodge again if I need to be there early for an appointment.
- Freedom31682664042 (8/5): 1st visit was a positive one - Spent 2 nights while wife was at Duke for 13 hours of surgery. Room was nice and clean, as was bathroom. My only complaints are that the walls seem to be paper thin and the doors allow in pretty much any and all noise from the hallway. It would be nice if instead of the little cafe in the lobby they would switch to some form of breakfast that's included in the price of the room.
- Kevin (10/5): -
- anthonysY2865LG (8/5): Everything from my reception to my departure was great except the missed marked shower hot and cold setting! - Cold shower wake up. Made a bad start to my day. It seems that this problem is a problem with all of your rooms based on my experience.
- janiesha (7/5): -
- Sara-Bunker (10/5): When at Duke stay at the Lodge - Was there for a surgery at Duke, so very well located for that. Lobby staff all very friendly and informative. Room was clean and were given the extras we asked for with no hesitation.
- Greg (10/5): - Location Na
- AlexK6096 (10/5): Good place for medical appointments. - Great location to go to either the VA medical or the Duke medical complex. Rooms are clean, with a calm feeling. You will hear sirenscat night, and quite possibly the Duke lifeflight helicopter landing on the roof. Call when making reservations and tell them if you are going for a medical appointment, yiu can get a discount.
- Hester (6/5): Nice staff - Location Water was kindly lukewarm
- Barbara (3/5): It was much less than I had expected. No hot water and very noisy throughout the night - Location walking distance to hospital No hot water
- J347XGthomase (10/5): Very pleasant, very pleasing for my stay. - Great location, great experience, pleasant staff, working with us truly, to make the stay very affordable, and I truly appreciate that, alot.
- Tyrell (10/5): - .Breakfast .was good every morning. Really good selectio of protein. juice bar would have been nice.
- Patricia (8/5): - Very clean Front desk's reaction to son who did not have room card and could not get back in after 8 pm- at 8:10pm
- Pressley (9/5): -
- Tammy (10/5): - The 2 ladies at the front desk and the young lady who prepared breakfast made my husband and I feel welcomed. Very pleasant attitudes. I call them my 3 Angels. I stayed there for my medical appointment at Duke Hospital.
- Tamara (6/5): Nice because it’s close to Duke University. - Location Older and dated.
- Denise Randolph (10/5): Everything was great!! - Didn't eat breakfast. Found parking space easily. Van shuttle was great. Thank you, John!
- Mary (9/5): -
- Deborah (3/5): We went to the room 805. We in to inspect, took pictures then went back downstairs and got a cancela - The staff Our room was patheticly dirty. We didn't stay got a cancellation.
- Ameer (7/5): The room was clean and I slept well - The building smells like cigarettes smoke, they could use air freshener filters.
- Tamya (10/5): -

- 284tracim (10/5): Stay near Duke Medical Center - Friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Quiet guests. Comfortable beds. Have stayed multiple times and will stay again.
- Alexis (4/5): -
- Beachywoman23 (10/5): Location, location, location - Great location if you are seeing medical care at Duke or the VA. So convenient!
I wish the cafe had been open for evening snacks. The room rivals any other 3-4 star hotel.
- Nancy (9/5): - It was a happy place. Star, Sunshine, and Swandrae were wonderful. And Harry the shuttle driver. Smiles all around.
- Douglas (10/5): Overall stay was ecellent and staff was friendly. I will stay there again. - Proximity to Duke University Hospital. Shuttle service was not explained and available at times that I needed.
- Brenda (10/5): Very close to where I had the test - Everyone was so friendly and accommodating.
- Miller (8/5): Staff is always so friendly! - It would nice to have a few free items for. Breakfast. The outside could use a little updating; paint…
- HARIDAS (9/5): -
- Frank J B (9/5): - Proximity to Duke Hospital & Free parking. Bed was too soft.
- Kimberley (10/5): -
- Bannister (10/5): - Location to Hospital was very helpful. Food prices were high
- LoveTravel468708 (10/5): Great Lodge Stay - Great location for Duke Medical Appointments. Shuttle persons are just the best. The people working during the day make you feel welcome taking care of your needs. The rooms are very clean and the bed is perfect. Her morning mocha coffees are fabulous and the blueberry muffin tasty, especially when she warms them up.. Everyday they remember clients. Remember you! And make you want to return to The Lodge.
The ice making machines require great patience to wave and wait despite what the evening person said.

- P7401RYcindyb (10/5): The Place To Stay At Duke Medical - The Lodge at Duke Medical is the place to stay if you are a patient or family of a patient at Duke. The staff is welcoming and very accommodating. The hotel is close to the hospital and very convenient. They offer a shuttle service that operates 7:00-7:00 with drop off and pick up at the door.
- Gomez (10/5): - I like everything!
- Guest (9/5): -
- FarAway68498718500 (8/5): Decent for one night’s stay - Location is great if you have an appointment at Duke. The room (2 bedroom queen) was nice and clean, but it smelled like smoke; the bathroom is VERY small and the shower door was off track. I like the fact that the offered a rate for patients.
- Kimberley (10/5): -
- Heino (10/5): -
- Michelle (9/5): Clean, Safe, Cool Room Decor and Huge Value - I liked that it was clean and I felt very safe. I like the door security for example. The room decor was extremely cool with faux brick wall that looked worn. I liked it so much I might use the same decor at home! When I first got there it was very hard to get the door open. Also, they advertise that the door locks at 8 pm but then they locked it a whole hour earlier at 7 pm! Then some guy briefs me on how to open the door and call them. It was not easy or intuitive. The phone did not look like a phone. However, I learned that even though this was a huge pain in the a--- and the way I was patronized was offensive, it means it's very hard to get in the door! This makes it ultimately much safer. Imagine if someone had trouble getting in because they didn't know all of the tricks and workarounds. That's a good thing.
- Sandra (9/5): -
- Road10878954185 (10/5): Great place to stay when you have procedures at Duke. - Roor was clean and it was a short walk to the hospital. There is also a shuttle to other parts of the hospital. We took the shuttle to my surgery at the medical pavillion.
