A large crowd stayed there that weekend so it was very busy. They had an excellent breakfast and did a wonderful job. It needed a couple more hooks in the bathroom to hang your clothes or towels on.

She was professional yet personable and really made the check in experience a very pleasant one. We were in town to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary and in addition to affording us a couple of complementary meals at the hotel restaurant, Jennifer also upgraded our room from a city view to a room with a balcony and a river view! A quiet, comfortable affordable and stay!! Thank you, Jennifer !!! I called the day before to confirm our reservation, and Jennifer was so friendly and helpful. She was there with a warm welcome when we checked in. The other girls at the front desk were so friendly and helpful, too, pointing us to the best restaurants and thrift stores in town. We couldn't have asked for more from this hotel! We enjoyed bluegrass in the lobby on Tuesday night and a string band on Thursday. The location was perfect! We were literally on the riverwalk that lead to Smothers park. It was right next to the convention center, but, unfortunately, we had to leave before the Kraftucky Fair started. The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. I want to come back to Owensboro, and I would not choose anywhere else to stay! To commemorate our trip, we are having personalized Christmas ornaments made with a picture that was taken from our balcony. Thanks to Jennifer and the girls at the front desk for making us feel so welcome!

The staff—especially Jennifer, Mike, and Cody—are the perfect hosts. They make us feel welcome from the moment we walk in. The restaurant and bar are a hit every single visit, and we always look forward to enjoying a great meal or drink there. We especially love the rooms overlooking the river with the outside balcony—such a peaceful and beautiful view! The rooms are super clean, well stocked, and consistently comfortable. - carrieb345 (10/5): This hotel is a gem along the river!! - This hotel is wonderful! The staff is on top of everything and adressess any questions. Nick at the front desk was great and thanked me for being Silver Elite a few times. We had something come up (our fault) and he took care of it immediately!! Amanda was at the desk for a few days and she was amazing! She was so very helpful and kind and made our stay very enjoyable. DeAngel (?) was hard working and so incredibly sweet to us and deserves to be recognized. Danielle was our housekeeper on our floor and was also great! What a WONDERFUL experience we had with these people!!

- leowA9943WH (10/5): Burger Heaven! - Very nice hotel right on the Kentucky river. The great thing about it is they have a really good restaurant called Burger Theory where you can get many different kinds of burgers and even build your own along with other kinds of food. Great selection of beers and the food was really excellent! My server Sykiah, was charming, extremely friendly and professional, and always looking out for my needs. Highly recommend recommended!

- nicolebX1176YY (2/5): Terrible!!! - The location of the hotel is really nice, the riverfront view is beautiful. However the rooms are not very clean. There are dirt stains on the walls and carpet. I walked into the bathroom to a strong odor of urine, the bathroom floor had hair all over it, and the tub had hair and a ring of dirt around it. And the sink was stopped up with hair in it as well. I checked the beds and there were strings of hair, went down to request additional blankets, and was handed blankets with pizza sauce on it. I literally had to go to Walmart to get Urine spray and bleach to get the bad smell out and that still did not work. My husband went down the next morning and spoke with a general manager Nick and was told that the room would be cleaned again. When we came back the room, it was not really cleaned and the trash from the trash cans was dump into the toilet causing the toilet to get stopped up. My husband spoke with the staff again and was told they were not sure why the trash was dump in the toilet, and was told that they would be sure to clean the room when we leave. I’m guess someone thought that we were gone at 2:45 in the morning because someone tried entering our room. So happy we had the deadbolt on the door! We informed the front desk about the incident and was told that the cameras don’t work on the 4th floor. don’t sleep at this place! Because the hotel is obviously understaff and can’t meet the needs of their consumers. And to accommodate us, we were given free breakfast passes, free snacks, and reward points however after spending over 1,000 for two rooms that was not enough! Never again will I use the holiday INN… This is my first and last time!

- Verified traveler (10/5): One night stay - Check-in was easy. We had a room with river view that was great. The small couch had stains on both cushions which was not appealing but overall the room seemed clean. It was hard to get soap out of the dispensers in bathroom but maybe it was just me. We did not eat at the hotel so no comment on that. Overall, we had a nice stay and great view!
- I9385TGjudyb (10/5): Beautiful View & Great Service. - Burger Theory is in the Holiday Inn. Get a window seat by the Ohio River. Food is dependably good and the veggie burgers with fixin’s are absolutely worth the visit! Location and view are amazing. Ask for Sykiah! She is a GREAT server! Prompt, professional, and super cheerful. If you are going to Owensboro be sure to check out the river front and the conveniently located Burger Theory!

The toiletries were quality (Dove products) which means a lot. Loved the extra pillows!I would have given 5 stars if it wasn’t for the dinner food quality. The brisket was dry and unappealing. The steak lacked flavor and the vegetables were dried out and looked very old. The fries were great and smashed potatoes were yummy but that was the extent of our dinner.Breakfast was great but it was an Uncharge Everyone was very friendly though.
