Obwohl das Hotel etwas älter ist, war der Service ausgezeichnet. Ich habe sogar nach dem Auschecken noch eine E-Mail von Will erhalten; ich bitte um Entschuldigung, dass ich sie erst zu Hause gelesen habe.

- Angela (10/5): A very memorable vacation, beyond expectation in many ways! - Shangri-la is always a safe choice in China. Nanjing Shangri-la has the best location, you enjoy the tranquility and beauty of 玄武湖 and it is very accessible to all major spots yet away from the very busy touristy area. It is 3 minutes walk to underground, bus stop in front of the hotel, lots of restaurants, entertainment and convenience store nearby. Service was outstanding. The housekeeping was very attentive and detailed, she even noticed the cosmetic mirror was running out of battery and charged it! The room service was always responsive and offered service promptly. The porter Mr. 鄭政 (hope I remembered his name correctly) was very helpful who assisted all our luggage and airport transfer. The check in, check out process was seamless. Thank you for the butterfly cookies and fruit basket, we really enjoy our stay. I am a bit concern for the $2000 deposit physically charged to my credit card and I can only get back the refund within 7 days. There is no proof of refund receipt as well. While other hotels only hold the card for payment or refund immediately after check out.

Man bekommt Frühstück, Teetime mit Snacks oder Kaffee, Abends Coktails und Snacks. Alles mit Blick über den herrlichen See. Das war bei uns inklusive. Das Fitnessstudio ist perfekt ausgestattet und das Schwimmbad sehr schön zum Bahnen ziehen. Das Personal super freundlich und hilfsbereit.

- Stuart (9/5): Would stay here again. - This is a really nice hotel. Everything was very good. It is close to the metro and to a nearby shopping center. It is a short walk to the lake and I can recommend a walk on the old city wall, where the entrance is just a few minutes away.

- Jiann -Mei (9/5): 整體而言是一次很愉快的住宿經驗，對南京香格里拉飯店留下很好的印象 - 湖景房視野很好，早晨還能看見日出。玄武湖白天夜裡的景色都很美，從飯店步行即可抵達湖畔。 飯店員工都很親切，也會主動詢問是否需要協助。寄放行李等待房間時，服務人員主動提出等房間備妥可替我們把行李先送進房間，給人很周到的感覺。 唯一的小缺點是早餐座位排放的有點擁擠，跟鄰桌太靠近。可能是生意太好，客人太多了吧。

- Carlo (5/5): Not worth unless special promotion - Its a typical Shangri La with his traditional beauty, located just next to the lake, the staff its very very nice and well prepared, I anyway do think that hotel need a refresh I could not sleep properly as Room TOO HOT, seems they centrally off air conditioning at night, in spite I set temperature very low room very hot!!!! Paid high price and poor sleep 😡 I had one dinner buffet and 2 breakfast, the dinner buffet its generally good but quality of meats, cold cuts and cheese very poor. At dinner buffet grilled meat was very chewy / hard, bakery looks good to the eye but not tasty, cheese is supermarket mass production quality and two choices only, cold cut all processed no any proper dry aged / cured or smoked salmon, no extra virgin olive oil choice at salad bar. Breakfast buffet pretty similar issues of dinner with major disappointment on pastry, definitely to be a real Shangri La need to upgrade the main bakery chef and F&B department
- Phyllis (5/5): Mixed bag: great location, clean rooms, but some of the staff need more training - I booked four rooms for eight people for a family getaway, four people traveled domestically and four people internationally. The room they gave me (who made the reservation) was the largest with plenty of window/view. The breakfast had many items to choose from (we ate there one morning). All the rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel is located very close to a traditional market and we enjoyed going there to try the local breakfast. Angela who greeted all the guests at the reception area was very helpful and friendly; she made the massage and breakfast reservations for us in a very efficient manner. The problem started at check in. I booked four rooms, two for two nights, two for five nights, using four different platforms, because I had miles that I could redeem. All the reservation were under the same name. However, the receptionist, Melody, could only find one of the reservations. She called somebody to come help her (I assume her manager), but he could not find the other three reservations either. Then he told me to wait, while they check on the computer in the back. After about five minutes, I went back to Melody and asked her how to proceed, and she told me to call the companies that I made the reservations myself and check! First, these companies are not located in China, so I don't want to pay the extra charge to make international calls on my non-Chinese phone. Second, I have already showed her the confirmation numbers and emails and it's her job to try to find the reservations. So I waited another five minutes. Luckily, another receptionist (a female with medium length hair, bob style, dressed in a black blazer) became available and I told her the problem. She was able to find all four reservations within 30 seconds, even though she said it was a bit tricky to find them all. Then when it was time to check out, I got the first receptionist again, Melody. I requested an invoice, but she said she could not print it out, could only email it to me. I told her my email address. However, I never got the invoice. I think Melody needs to be retrained. We had a third problem with the stay, but we did not discover it until after we left the hotel. I had a couple hardback books I was reading, left on the desk when we went out in the middle of the day, and unbeknown to me, my family tucked in an equivalent of 100 USD in an uncommon foreign currency in one of the books during the middle of our stay. However, when we got home, I could not find the money when my family asked me about it.

- Yaocheng (10/5): Great hotel to treat yourself in Nanjing - The hotel looks amazing and is very gratefully decorated. The rooms were really nicely appointed and very clean. Has a very pretty garden that lights up at night. Nothing really.
