• Susan (6/5): - Breakfast was okay, eggs actually pretty good. $10 for yogert was pricey Keys needed to be redone as entire hotel had a "software update". A bit of a hassle. This couldn't have been prevented most likely BUT the next day we got locked out of hotel at the outdoor sauna. They never fixed that "key reader" even the day after the software. This was inconvenient for us and other guests.

• Alicia (3/5): Smelled like someone defecated in the lobby. - Location is okay, rooms are updated and well appointed. The front lobby smelled like sewage the entire time we stayed there. We were holding our breath and speed walking to the front door or the elevator the whole trip. The upstairs hallway also smelled of sewage, but not as bad. When we mentioned it to the front desk agent at checkout, she pretended like she didn’t smell it but then moments later mentioned that they have had plumbers on the property that confirmed everything was in working order. Her response was strange and her blatant lie about not smelling the odor made us feel uncomfortable. We weren’t upset with her or aggressive at all, we just couldn’t not mention it when asked how our stay was. The rates were also high for the weekend even though there weren’t any local events going on. I will not be staying at this location again.

• Dan (10/5): Great location and a great staff. - Great staff. When we showed up the attendant at the front desk asked what brought us to town. I explained that we had our 3 year old grandson and were coming to use the pool as he loves to swim, she placed us in a room just across from the pool. Every staff member we walked past said hello and was very curious. Room was very clean and beds were very comfortable. They have a restaurant in the hotel or there are plenty of options within walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay here and look forward to coming back in the future.

Won’t reserve thru Booking.com vs direct thru Marriott again as you don’t receive any of your Marriott perks. Had to pay for internet, the wrong room was reserved and it was a major issue to get it changed.

We stayed 2 nights and although no attendant checked our room in between for dirty towels , etc. it would have been nice to have 4paper cups and 4 regular coffee kcups not just 2 since reserved for 2 people 2 nights. Went to front desk for 2 more kcups but forgot to ask for paper cups and the drinking glasses provided won’t work with keurig machine. Seems like a simple fix and a basic request since most people love coffee in the morning.

• Greg (1/5): I won't stay there again. - Room smelled bad, after the chemical smell of the cleaner wore off it smelled like urine. There were dead bugs on the window sills. $6.50 for a cookie at the Bistro? They were also playing FoxNews on the television in the food area. When I wake up in the morning, I do not want to hear that kind of propaganda. I did not feel welcome.

The girl in the front desk has such a lack of respect and touch to talk with the clients, yesterday we wanted to grab dinner in the cafeteria downstairs we asked at what time did it close and she said at ten, we came by at 9:15 to the surprise that it was closed, I asked why and she just said well it was kind of slow so.. we closed early. Then we stayed without having dinner because when I asked if she could offer me a solution she told me to walk around the hotel and found something. Then today I arrive to the surprise that my room is not cleaned and when I ask again the same girl why she just answered well we make the rooms every other day. For 180 the night that is a pretty bad service. If you are looking for a hotel DONT STAY HERE!

• Jackson (10/5): - The hotel staff was very friendly. I loved that when I came down to dinner on Friday evening there was a group of folk singers jamming out one song after another. It was very entertaining. The room was large, clean and the bed was comfortable.
• 986elizad (6/5): Just so-so - We stayed two nights recently with another couple. (this other couple happens to have built and owns several Marriott properties in Oregon) Our friends checked into their room and it was dirty; it hadn't been cleaned yet so they were moved to a different room on another floor. Our room was nice, although the bathroom floor was dirty. Also, when you turned the bathroom sink on the water pressure sent water flying onto the counter and floor. Neither of our rooms were cleaned while we were out. The worst thing is the smell that greets you entering the lobby; like a sewer - gross. Another thing was that there were no spray bottles or wipes in the workout room to clean the equipment after use. Post-covid that should always be available. The hotel location is great, the rooms and beds are comfortable enough, and the staff are friendly. It's a toss up if we'll stay there again on future visits.

The rooms are clean and reasonably well appointed, but certainly on the pricier side for a Courtyard. Stayed in room 209, which isn’t great for a few but honestly there’s nothing to see from here anyway. I took off a star because the hotel doesn’t seem to be in the best area.

• Wilma58 (5/5): Messed Up - The hotel overall is very nice. The room was clean and well kept. We arrived at the bar at about 7:45 on the night of June 17, 2025. There were two men at the bar, two women behind the bar. We were ignored initially by the bartenders who eventually noticed that we were there after I said something because they were being well entertained by the two men at the bar. They told us that they were closing the bar at 8:00 p.m. Really? Other folks were not served and some asked if they could bring their own wine into the bar. I had witnesses at that point. So, I went up to the front desk after we finished the drinks that we had and asked the employee for a discount for the night as this was no longer the full service hotel that I booked. She denied me the discount. She said "We have to send our employees home for the night". I indicated that this wasn't disclosed when I made the reservation. She got indignant with smiling condescendingly at me. She told me she didn't like the way that I was talking to her. She told me I was welcome to leave the property. I told her that I would not be doing that until the morning. I contacted Booking.com who called the property and arranged for a one night stay. The hotel employee's name was Jessica who claimed to be the assistant manager. She set a horrible example for the employee that was working with her that night. The next morning I spoke with the hotel manager who indicated that she had heard the story and that everything was on camera. I told her to feel free to view the camera footage to watch her employee smiling condescendingly at me (posing for the camera) and that she should be fired for acting that way to a hotel guest. The hotel manager said that there had been an illness. I indicated that Jessica could have just told me that. In any event, Jessica should be trained and authorized to offer a discount for hotel services that are not being offered as advertised.

The “pool” is very very small, just for splashing around really. The hot tub is nice, though the jets weren’t working when we were there.

• 211joan (4/5): Loud HVAC systems. Noisy bathroom fans can’t be turned off. Loud soft drink machine and ice making machine nearby. - The hotel has very loud HVAC systems. Loud noise comes from the HVAC wall unit and from the exhaust ducts venting air to outside. The outside vents are all over the sides of the hotel under or next to every room and seem turn on every half hour. You can’t turn the bathroom fans off so that just adds to the overall noise level - especially at night. The final noise source was a soft drink machine and ice maker just on the other side of the wall of our bed. It registered 69 decibels on a decibel meter. (I downloaded an app on my iPhone). We had to wear industrial strength ear plugs at night and they didn’t completely block out the sounds. We tried to change rooms to something quieter but were told all the suites were filled and besides they were all positioned the same way our suite was - so would probably be as noisy. Very sad because the rest of the hotel amenities are very nice. Would not recommend staying here if you want a relatively quiet room.

With nice sized rooms and a very large comfy lobby. What made?this?stay extra special was Carl R, the food&beverage manager. He was constantly talking to guests and was?full of local information. He organizes complementary wine and cheese tastings as well as live music at night. He goes far above what one would expect in a Courtyard. Now if he get decent bagels..

So value is Ok, more on the expensive side but if you expect any Marriot BONVOY benefits you will not get them here

I do think that policies such as not having your room refreshed unless you ask for it to be done should be mentioned at checkout or in the description.

• Alanna (8/5): - The staff here was INCREDIBLE. Top notch. The place is nice, very welcoming. My only complaint is that we were there 3 days/2 nights and there was no maid service/ replacement of towels. We kept leaving thinking that they were maybe still getting to it, and they just never did.

• Ariel (2/5): - We booked a king with sofa bed but didn’t get the sofa bed . We had to share the bed for us three which was totally uncomfortable. Took this issue with front desk and was informed that Orbits made improper representation of the room.
• Naders1977 (6/5): Modern and plenty of room to visit in lobby, fireplce, back patio, and bar/kitchen. - We stayed two nights across town and booked one night here to spend time with friends who were also staying there. As a Bonvoy member, I was excited to see what my membership offered compared to other guests. It didn't appear there were any added benefits. The lobby smelled odd. Our room had another smell like cheap perfume and it was musty. We realized we had to turn on the refrigerator after two hours of having our food in there. It's very modern. The bed was uneven and felt like someone had recently been laying in it. The place across town felt cleaner, more airy, beds were more comfortable and they served warm cookies and hot breakfast with Cinnabon rolls and delicious coffee. None of this was included here. I loved the modern seating areas and Starbucks on site. However I couldn't use my linked bonvoy and Starbucks for points. There are deli menu options. I got a yogurt parfait that was very underwhelming. 4 pieces of fruit in a plastic cup with honey on the bottom and a granola bar chopped up on top. I'll stay across town again next time.

• I7387CVsusanh (10/5): Just What A Traveller Needs! - Aside from being in a charming town filled with amazing wine tasting rooms and restaurants, this Courtyard is easily one of the best finds in Walla Walla! The staff are just wonderful, attentive and helpful, and the rooms are clean and well-appointed. I spent two separate nights there since I was on a travel writing assignment, and at the start of my three-week trek when I stayed (the Airbnb I originally booked was horrific and luckily Courtyard saved the day!) to the end of my journey for the final night on the road, I spent a relaxing and comfy evening in this Courtyard. Highly recommended on your travels if just stopping in along the way or when spending a glorious weekend in this quaint town. Kudos to the staff for making the Marriott a must-stay location.

Also loved the restaurant. Food and service were both great! It was a little farther from the downtown area than I thought it was. Still within walking distance though.
