• gregs3071 (10/5): Lovely setting - I only stayed here for a few days but I could have easily seen myself staying there longer. The resort consists of a number of little cottages set in a lovely garden. My cottage (I assume the others were similar) consisted of a largeish main room/bedroom with a curatin separated kitchenette and a small bathroom. There was also a patio/verandah with a table and a couple of chairs. There is also pool and a restaurant/bar area (which is the only place you can access the free wifi). It's about a 8-10 minute walk along the road parallel to the sea, past a few other resorst, dive shops, restaurants and other businesses (including quite a good scooter hire establishment, and laundry, whose services I was very satisfied with) to get to the main beach/road hub, or about 15-18 minutes the long way back up to the main road farther from the shore. The reception staff were very helpful, making calls for me to the port at Liloan to find out/make sure the ferries were running for my onward journey to Negros/Dumaguete (storms at the time I was there had led to various sea journeys being cancelled in the preceeding days).
• Jeff (10/5): Would definitely stay again! - Amazing place if you like a garden setting and a quiet place. Great pool and well kept grounds. Our detached cottage was big, clean, and had a big bathroom. Breakfast was nice and the staff were very helpful when organizing or joining a tour.

• Kahina (8/5): Séjour agréable - La chambre était spacieuse et confortable, le patio magnifique et bien équipé. La piscine et les parties communes sont très agréables. Petit déjeuner très bon. Au niveau du service, il pourrait être amelioré : nous avons commandé un filet de bœuf et on nous a cuisiné du porc en nous le proposant au lieu de corriger immédiatement l'erreur. Le petit-déjeuner nous a été refusé car nous nous sommes présentés a 11h10 au lieu de 11h. Les équipements de la chambre sont a revoir : le réfrigérateur ne marchait pas et il y a eu une coupure de courant le dernier jour donc plus de clim ni d'eau chaude.

• Glenn (10/5): - A nice, hidden gem. By far the best of the 3 properties we stayed at in this area. An excellent, spacious, seaside room with full kitchen and back patio. The aircon was a bit weak.

• simonegD8621QR (10/5): Would come back again! - Definitely book this for your time in moalboal! We had the best time, and felt so looked after by all the staff. Our first few days were so quiet and relaxing, sipping cocktails by their amazing pool. Cheapest beer in town. Only thing, don’t wear bathers with white as the chlorine made it a little brown. No issue with any other colours though. Pool was great when the weather was bad and the beach too windy to swim at. And our last morning they had a BIG group booking arrive, but they still made sure all other guests were looked after and not forgotten about. Great laundry service, very cheap. And their staff were so nice when we forgot to book our last night, quickly making up a room for us. Security guard on site to make us feel safe for night time. I would come back again!
• Rose (10/5): - Overall experience is excellent, the wifi coverage is only available at the reception and pool area but it wasn't really a deal breaker for me because we are mostly spending our time at the beach and more on the outside activities. The staffs are accommodating as well. Thank you so much for the hospitality.

• Jessica (10/5): - Wifi was only available at the front desk and dining area which actually turned out to be a blessing. This allowed me to be present, enjoy my surroundings, and not be checking my phone every 5 minutes. I really enjoyed this place because it made me feel living life simple. There is a kitchenette, perfect for longer stays. The beach and snorkeling is just a short walk around the corner and free drinking water available.

• SEUNGYI (10/5): 좋은위치,독채 숙소 ,조용하고 최고예요 - 최고의 결정이었던것 같아요. 아이를 데리고갔고 아직 어려 다른사람들에게 피해를 줄수있어서 독채를 원했어요. 직원들은 매우 친절했고 어매니티는 바디샴푸와 샴푸가 있었어요. 화장실 물도 괜찮았고 샤워기도 따뜻한물이 나왔어요. 수영장도 깨끗했으며 조식도 훌륭했습니다. 바다와 아주 가까우며 뒷골목 옆으로 2ㅡ3분이내 피자맛집도 있습니다. 시끄럽지않으며 또 이곳에 가고싶습니다. 최고의 선택이었어요.
• hardnfast30 (10/5): Excellent relaxing resort - My wife and self spent 5 nights here. Had a great time. Room 3 was great, big and cool. The resort is spread out and quiet. The pool / bar area is excellent. Staff are super friendly. The free breakfast was fine for us. Highly recommend and will book here again next time we come back to Moalboal.

• nicorbln (2/5): Strange thief behavior's from the staff - Before starting I would to precise that I work in the hospitality industry for more than 15 years. I came with my partner for a few days. One evening my partner needed a tampon and we couldn't find any shop open. We were at the bar and a friendly customer let us know that a customer left a box of tampons in her room last night and then won't come back for it. So we asked the staff if we could use one as it's a leftover item. The staff member said yes no problem. On the last day of our trip, the staff asked us to pay for the box of tampons. This is bad cause they got it for free and they try to make money from it. This is a thief. Also during our stay here, as a foreigner, I can feel really bad behavior towards me for anything I needed to ask you better not ask the staff because they don't want to help you. You feel judged there. Only the oldest lady at the reception was meeting the standard of hospitality.

• joycecL7718YE (8/5): quiet place at moalboal - A nice quiet place to rest in the busy street of Moalboal. Nice breakfast with fresh fruit. Pool is there if you like plunging in. Beach is just a 5 min walk.. and it's near to the night life hub of Moalboal. Price is ok.. it's clean and nature friendly.

• sidseldenmark (8/5): A really nice stay - So kind staf, and a very good location. We stayed here for 4-5 nights, and i was there with my mother and sister. Remeber musquito spray, they are also ind the rooms. Ask them for room nr. 102, as we stayed in. It i right my the ocean, you can see the ocean from the room. Very good food and breakfast. We did the cononering while staying here and saw turtels. Would defently go back another time. We also had a good massage in the rooms.
• miraten (10/5): We be happy week) - We lived for a week in a cottage with a kitchen. Clean, quiet, daily cleaning, swimming pool, breakfast included. Food can be bought at the market or at the mall in Moalboal. One way tricycle ride 120 pesos, with luggage 150 pesos. The cottage is located 5 minutes from the sea. The rooms have a safe, and you can also leave things with the hostess. The Internet works only at the reception and the pool, the signal does not reach the room. the coral reef was almost completely killed by the typhoon, leaving a small piece with live corals, fish and turtles. Kawasan waterfall is also destroyed, but there is canyoning. I recommend Markozas Cottage to those who do not like noise and appreciate comfort and safety!
• tamikita (2/5): Horrible reception desk service - We didn’t stay and we won’t ever. Today, 22nd March 2020 we were in the reception of this hotel to ask for a staying. We had a horrible experience at reception desk, where we have been treated like two uneducated outsiders. The Lady had no patience at all, when we asked her to repeat what she said (she is wearing a face mask and speaking broken English) she started to raise her voice on us in A really bad way. If it is how this hotel treat a possible guests I wish them good luck.

• Theboy1980 (10/5): Lovely - Stayed here for 5 nights with my wife and 4 year old son. The pictures on the Internet don't do this place justice it was beautiful. The pool and outside sitting area where fabulous plenty of relaxing sun beds to go around for everybody. The cottage was lovely and clean and had everything you could need in it,it was cleaned every day and mini bar restocked. The staff all lovely and friendly especially to my son. The place is a bargain for what you pay. A quick word on panagsama beach the place was exactly what we where looking for nice and chilled out with plenty of restaurant and bars over looking the sea. A nice chilled out vibe. Not your average Asian seaside resort with busy roads and loads of people trying to sell you trips etc.after staying in panglao I'd lost a bit of faith in the Philippines but this place was beautiful just what we wanted. Anyway thanks marcosas for your beautiful resort and looking after us wish I could stay longer. Hopefully be back some day.

• drummingboy (4/5): Good pool, not so good staff - We didn't have the best experience here. It wasn't awful but really, some of the staff let it down. The highlights are the pool is great, me and my daughter loved the slide, also the breakfast is not bad. The lows were, even though we booked 2 adults and my daughter, my daughter apparently doesn't qualify for breakfast. Say that to any parent and it generally goes down like a lead balloon. I mean, that's ridiculous. When I complained they just smiled and said, you booked through Agoda. Ummm....and?.... The other point is the travel operator there is useless. I emailed multiple times about the kawasan falls trip, she never replied, when I eventually did get a reply I was told I was definately booked on to the trip. When she eventually decided to show up at the hotel she was inning and err-ing a lot saying yes, you are going tomorrow. Next day, I was up early and I got a note from another staff that the trio was cancelled. I had. This feeling the whole time she would let me down, so my advice is book trips outside of the hotel. I hired a moped and drove to the falls myself and there were canyoning trips going on there so it felt like she was just too lazy to deal with just one person rather than a group. Overall it felt like everything was annoying to them. Asking for towels for the pool seemed a chore, we didn't feel very welcome. You can have a great hotel, but if the staff don't have enthusiasm it really can spoil your time. Location wise, it was at the further side of town from the action, but we preferred this end of town. I can only give 2 stars at best because we liked the pool, let down by the service
• padge48 (10/5): Charming, quiet and my style of holiday - Edith and staff provide a German owned scrupulously clean set of bungalows and rooms which remind me of Bali before the fall. I personally love thatched bungalows with enough mod cons to be comfortable and very functional and these fit the bill . My bed was roomy and comfortable , good aircon and ceiling fans and pleasant gardens . Clean bathrooms but only adequate water pressure( there is a water shortage) I stayed in 2 rooms over 9 days ;up the back, elevated was my preference and further away from the not very intrusive ‘doof doof’ from the small nightlife strip further along this small ‘resort’ . Breakfast was limited in choice but fine . A good selection of English cable tv channels. No WiFi in rooms but aPhilippine sim sorted my phone . Clean but narrow beach and clean seawater . Nice poolGood spa/ massage .Lots of snorkelling, diving and sea creature viewing available. A reasonable number of nice Chinese , German and Dutch family groups and couples in town - Chinese for CNY who kept busy with activities....roads don’t permit big bus loads of tourists so that’s a plus too. You have to come by bus or hotel van along pretty ordinary roads for 3 to 4 hours from Cebu airport which is very new and impressive . Minuses? Food in the various restaurants was pretty ordinary but like everything, except the accommodation price at Marcosas , very very cheap. A very relaxing holiday.
• Verified traveler (8/5): A bit disappointed - I was a bit disappointed - the price does not stand up to the hotel. Overall one of the nicer hotels in Moalboal, but is far away from the ocean, unfortunately.

• harrytrekking (10/5): Quiet location - It is at the southern end of Pagansama Beach but it’s still only a leisurely 5 minute walk to the centre of the action. Great rooms, amazing pool, awesome breakfast and lovely staff. Only negative for me was poor wifi but welcome to the Philippines. I would definitely stay here again. Plenty of restaurants and shops for supplies in the area.
• gareth (10/5): - Stayed here for two weeks. The complex is set in gardens and is very well looked after, the service was excellent. Didn’t eat there apert from breakfast which was good, only downside was the juice which was always sweet, they did have brewed coffee though which is not always the case. The complex is 5 mins from the center of Pangasama Beach so location is good. The pool is a good size and clean. The prices for the minibar in your room are cheaper than some of the bars in town. All in all a very nice place to stay and excellent value
• Macemonsta (8/5): Great find! - We stayed at this resort for 4 days in October. I have a lot of good things to say about this place. The location is great, close to the reef and close to Panagsama township but far enough away that you could escape the mayhem, dust and noise. The villa we stayed in was spacious, clean and the villas are surrounded with pleasant tropical gardens. The pool is also a good size. Breakfast was included in the rate and was of a good standard. We also had lunch in the pleasant poolside restaurant on a couple of occasions and the food was good and reasonably priced by Philippines standards. I would like to give the restaurant and cleaning staff a special mention, they were friendly, polite and attentive at all times. I’ve subtracted a star due to the incredibly noisy aircon unit in our room and the checkin and checkout process which was a little cold. Overall, I would recommend this place and whilst it was slightly dearer by local standards was still good value for money.
• salsal61 (10/5): Hidden gem - We stayed 3 nights in a comfortable, spacious and private cottage with its own kitchen and outside sitting area. Good tv and wifi, set in beautiful tropical garden. The pool was nice and restaurant reasonable. It is set a short walk back from the main drag at Moalboal. Quite a blessing to have a retreat from the noisy throngs of divers and Instagram influencers. Good Italian coffee too.
• butterxchange (10/5): Homely vibe - The seafront cottage is like staying in a private beach front house with a direct cement path to the beach. It is equip with an iron gate at the main entrance and huge verandah facing the beautiful sea. It is just a few steps to a slightly rough stony and not so sandy beach. However the beach shoreline is a great spot for snorkeling and sardine run near Chili bar area is a 5 min walk from your cottage. The room layout gives you a homely vibe rather than staying in a rented place. A local family house and a small resort are your neighbours instead of our resort house guest. It is a min walk to enter Marcosos compound such as pool, cafeteria and reception. The reception area is a popular guest hangout because of better WIFI connectivity than in our rooms. The pool is always clean, a good size for swimming laps and everyone seems to enjoy the slide in the pool. The fully function kitchenware in our room also provides 24 hour food supply for our kids diets. Hence we spent more time visiting the minimart which is next to our cottage to stock up essential ingredients to cook. It is also time and cost savings to easily prepared home cooked food after an exhausting activities. We prefer simple breakfast menu than buffet style breakfast so we are satisfied with our daily breakfast of omelette, pancake, egg and bread with a glass of orange juice and a slice of green bananas which is surprisingly ripe and sweet. The best thing during a blackout is when Marcosas back up generator immediately power on its electricity supply to all its house guests while your living surrounding and other neighbours struggle in the dark with candles.
• Ken (6/5): - Nice pool. Nice pool area. I did not like location. Unless scuba diving there is nothing to do or see. Staff was not very friendly which is unexpected compared to other Filipino resorts. Room was sparse but clean.
• MathewB1979 (10/5): Very very good short stay - Great little place and great location. Clean and neat with a nice pool and restaurant area. Very happy 2 day stay. Food was good and rooms were very very spacious and the bathroom too. A little outside space too. Laundry service was a bonus
• Leo (10/5): - Beyond expectation. Outside the resort you cannot imagine that there's something beautiful inside because the fence is just simple like the usual fence of a household but when we checked-in and went to see our room, WOW awesome place, very serene, plus points that it is indeed cottages and there's balcony in each cabana. The pool, very clean and what's good about their pool is that the height is not centralized it has different levels there's 4ft, 5ft and 6ft which I and my companions enjoyed especially that not all of us know how to swim. The breakfast is free, the foods were cooked very deliciously, our tummies certainly felt delighted. The accessibility, although the area is very remote but good thing is there are many vehicles that were parking at the back of the resort so you can just take a motrcycle if you want to go out and visit other places, aside from transportation, the resort has even direct access to the bay where you can just watch how beautiful the sunset is and in the morning you can witness the beautiful scenery of nature as you'd be able to see small fishes, crabs and the like, Oh! You can even have a little dip in the water if you want. Bottomline, it was a very unforgettable! Everything is delightful and the place is so full of surprises. I get to love nature more because of my stay in Marcosas, thank you for our 1 night only stay, we were very impressed of the total experience. You've made our 4th lover anniversary with our baby and siblings so splendid!

• Verified traveler (8/5): - Very comfortable experience. Very nice rooms in independent cottages, with both fan and aircon. Also a working kitchen with stoves and an a small oven. However the toilet with all the brown plastic holders and furniture looks from the 70s or so. Dated and not very good quality. There's no wifi on the rooms, and 3G/4G is rather bad, so...not much internet while in the room. Our very first impression wasn't initially very good, as our room smelled of vomit. We noticed this after laying in the bed a few minutes after checking in. When we mentioned the issue to the reception desk, she casually asked my gf if she just threw up. Other than this, the staff was very polite. However it feels the kitchen is rather understaffed, as any order takes rather long to fulfill. You can expect a good 30 mins for your lunch/dinner. Still, very friendly and helpful.
• Kimberley (10/5): - Marcosas was absolutely wonderful. The staff were very friendly, helpful, attentive and available. Our cottage was modern with a proper king size bed (which was very comfortable), shower was hot with good pressure and the cottage had a nice deck to sit out on with loungers as well as table and chairs. The resort was very secure and safe. The food was delicious and the free breakfast was great- made to order not buffet style. The location of the property is very close to everything and the sea is across the street.
• Milica (10/5): A very pleasant stay. - It was quite enjoyable spending the time in Marcosas. Good location, quiet, rooms are spacious with a TV with may different international programs which was cool. And the pool has a slide, big up for that!
• David (10/5): Very peaceful! - This was a perfect spot to stay with beautiful gardens and chilled pool area. Lots of options for bars, restaurants within 5 mins. Only 5 mins walk to centre and for snorkelling with the sardines. You’ll see turtles if you swim at the nearest beach entry by hotel. Very peaceful compared with staying in the centre by the bars where there is noise until circa 2am most mornings.
• Kirstin (8/5): - Property is aging a bit. But a nice place to come back to after adventures around town. Food is ok. Staff is friendly enough. Sometimes it seems like they don’t want to be bothered with you. Don’t expect modern rooms. It’s a step up from a cheap hotel.
• Balazs (10/5): Nice resort close to everything - We have spent 6 days in the resort and we were fully satisfied with it. The place is like a small paradise, quiet, friendly and everybody is superkind and helpful with everything.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Plesant stay - Stayed 3 nights in the superior cottage with a king size bed. Have your own cottage with a bit dated inner. Room and bedsheets are clean. More mosquito-free than what I have expected. A small but cold enough refrigerator and minibar is of reasonable price. 2 bottles of free drinking water are provided everyday though a water boiler there. Air con is quiet and cold enough. No slippers or toiletries provided so remember to bring your own. Strings hanging outside your cottage for hanging dry our wetsuits is a highlight. Pool looks nice with their staff clearing debris from surface constantly. Hotel staff is nice and willing to help for your transfer and tour booking. One downside is that they didn’t check our identity when we asked for the spare key to our cottage. It’s just so easy to get other’s key. Food from the restaurant is nice. Price is a bit higher comparing to the foodcourt we have tried in city centre. Breakfast have large range to choose from, cereals to rice or even English breakfast, served with banana, juice and coffee/tea. However, do not eat in their restaurant if you are in a hurry. We have had 1.5 hours break for lunch between our dives but it took them an hour to cook 2 courses. We have to pack the meal and save for later. Easy access to seaside and few minutes walk from all restaurants and dive shops. Resort offers Mactan airport pickup at 2900peso one way with 3hrs drive,2800peso(turn) to Oslob with 2hrs drive,drivers are punctual and very helpful.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - Stayed here about a week It’s a house for each guest group. Very private If you go to have breakfast, the room is already cleaned and new towels are offered. Swimming pool is quite big compared to other resorts and quite deep to enjoy swimming. And slide is good as well :) Although people are not that friendly, they provide things enough if ask. Food in restaurant is delicious I would love to stay here again if I come back to Moalboal :)
• HangSuk (10/5): - Spacious rooms and very quiet and family friendly place. Rooms being tended spot on everyday. Nice swimming pool by the dining area. Friendly staff at the reception. Good international tv channels. The only downside is no WiFi in the room. Only available in the public area.

• Jamila (8/5): Perfect Getaway - The seaside view cottage was to live for. The private entrance to the beach made it all worth the stay. The only downside was the loud music being played after hours in the closed by bar. Overall, will come back again.

• Martin (10/5): Perfect place in Moalboal - Close to beach/snorkling. Great and friendly staff. A-mazing pancakes for breakfast. We loved this place so much that we extended our stay two additional nights.
• Aaron (8/5): Wonderful Stay in Moalboal - Wonderful and attentive staff. Check in was so easy. Location wonderful. Kitchenette great for my morning coffees and preparing snacks. Air conditioning was good and strong but water pressure was not. Maintenance staff responded immediately and made slight improvement by replacing the shower head.
• iaras (8/5): Very good hotel but... - Hotel staff: -Most of them were friendly, but there were a few occasions in which I got upset by their lack of courtesy. -My boyfriend cut his toes in the pool (three of them and bleeding) and the lady in charge didn't even apologize. She just said "maybe it was the tiles" and gave us something to clean the wounds. -We went to get a massage at 7:15pm. The lady at the massage place looked like we were a bother. She sighed when we gave her the reservation ticket. When we left, she didn't even try to be nice. Plus, the massage wan't even that good, I expected more for 500 pesos. Hotel Facilities, Conditions - Everything looks nice and works well. The only thing is that terrible toe cutting pool! Room Cleanliness & Comfort -Compared to the other hotel I stayed in Davao, this hotel was spotless and smelled clean. We did have an encounter with a mouse, but I didn't mind. We took it out with a dustpan. - The room was very comfortable. It had everything we needed; drinks, AC, clean towels, Cable TV, etc. The location is good, but there are other hotels near by as well. If they were to change their attitude and let go of their pride, I would recommend it to other people.
• Cardkleener (10/5): Excellent - Great experience overall. Came a day early and security guard gave me room and told me to pay in morning. I arrived late after office hours. Place is close to everything. Highly recommended.
• Robert (10/5): - Great cottages, clean, nice kitchen with fridge and propane stove. Area is dense with trees, vegetation, large pool, indoor outdoor restaurant with free wifi. Adjacent is Abyss Dive Shop just 25 yards away. So convenient if you are a diver. It would be nice if a comfortable chair to relax in room. Really nice porch with table and 2 chairs. We have stayed there both trips to Moalboal (Panagsama Beach)
• Paulius (8/5): Pleasant hotel - Surroundings and the cottage were amazing, each room is a separate house with a terrace. You can rent a scooter nearby as well. However there is no beach near. And the trip to Moalboal costs 100 pesos. Reception is working till 7pm, so we had problems checking out early in the morning. Breakfast takes long time to make - we had to wait almost an hour.
• giora (8/5): Everything is great except for the bed - The marcosa is generally a very nice, calm, and peaceful place. Good value for money, as in those prices you usually get much worse places. The pool is big and useful (unlike places with small pool which is only there for decoration) We had a private cottage, it's super quite and great, the bed though was terrible, the matress is very thin, and you feel the bottom of the bed. At first we got a room with 2 single beds, and only after a few minutes of arguing the room was changed (it still had 2 mattresses, but at least on a single bed) In general - recommended for this budget, very good value for money. I think better places in moalboal are only the expensive resorts

• Lorraine (10/5): Central location - The hotel is well maintained with a very clean pool. It was very conveniently located near 2 dive shops and a mini-mart. The hotel is within easy walking distance of many local restaurants and beach massage. The food at the hotel is also delicious and well presented. The bungalows are well spaced and very private in lovely gardens.
• Joanne (10/5): Worth it! - Love the spaciousness and the cleanliness of the room and the bathroom. Plenty of space for luggage, and to hang your clothes. The only room that has a kettle in my stay of 5 different hotels in Cebu/Bohol. This is the hotel that i will go back to stay in Moalboal. Walking distance to all the other restaurants/hotels/beach! Its a very comfortable stay for this price.
• Bengt (10/5): Nice place near the dive centers. - We got plenty for the money. The resort has a nice garden and a very relaxing atmosphere.
• Ian (6/5): Average Accommodation For Above Average Price - Room is ok, clean and functional. Very dark so is great for sleeping but I would not say that is was cosy or homely. The outside verandah is a nice place to relax with a drink. The pool is good. The service is sometimes good sometimes indifferent and sometimes downright rude. The food is very ordinary and lacks flavour, variety or imagination. The location is not great unless ur there for diving. We hired a scooter for five of our seven days so that we could escape to other places for day trips.

• Phil (8/5): Much more than a cottage - Had a lovely time at Marcosas, the rooms are clean and tidy and very spacious, the pool was cleaned every day, the food and service are very reasonable but our favourite was the amazing spa, wonderful treatments at great prices.
• sea enthusiast (6/5): Single 56yr old lady, in Moalboal for snorkeling - No useful information regarding places to snorkel. For places to eat for local beaches, side trips or tours. no information for places of interest No one approached hotel guests when there was a blackout. Guests had to actively seek information. Altogether, apathetic, poorly trained staff.
• Jia (8/5): Nice hotel, great staff - The rooms are kept clean, the staff members were very accommodating and helpful. Prices are reasonable. :-) overall great experience.
• william (8/5): Perfect for a relaxing, secluded getaway - This was a nice little resort with all rooms in their own separate cottages, away from your neighbors. It's very quiet and relaxing, the pool is very clean, big and nice and the breakfast included is good. The grounds are beautiful but keep in mind this hotel IS NOT on the beach. It's close, but no sea views from here which was a bit of a disappointment. The staff is very friendly but don't expect a concierge service that will book your diving or golf outings. Overall a great getaway in a beautiful setting, would have stayed longer.
