• Stéphane (10/5): L'essayer, c'est l'adopter. - Nous avons fait une halte d'une nuitée dans cette belle station balnéaire. Hôtel agréable, calme et très bien situé en bord de mer. La chambre est des plus confortable, bien agencée affable. Vraiment nous avons été bien accueillis. Etant pris par le temps, nous réserverons une table la prochaine fois.
• Marie (10/5): - Tres bien situé, devant la mer. Ma chambre ne donnait pas sur la mer mais ce nest pas grave! Propre, confortable et calme. Très bonne literie, et salle de douche fonctionnelle avec un très bon sèche-cheveux, (ce détail a son importance)! Je recommande aussi cet établissement pour la qualité de l'accueil et l'amabilité du personnel. Tip top !
• Bruno (2/5): - Une chambre nommée "supérieure" qui n'en porte que le nom. Minimaliste, petite et vétuste (l'hotel en général donne cette impression - dans les couloirs : fils électriques qui pendent du plafond, fenêtres en bois détériorées...-), on voit le jour tout autour de la porte de la chambre. Celle ci, au premier étage, est située au dessus des cuisines de la brasserie, près d'un un escalier -ouvert- sur l'arrière-cuisine. On y entend les conversations, rires, bruits de vaisselles et chaises jusque vers 23h et ensuite, la seconde partie de soirée du personnel. Le pire : le bruit des frigos brrrrrr en permanence que les boules quies ne suffisent pas à couvrir . L'hotel n'ayant pas d'autres chambres à nous donner ; vers 1h du matin, nous avons quitté l'hotel pour trouver le calme ailleurs. Horrible expérience. Quitter cet hotel fut un soulagement. Nous ne reviendrons pas. 1 étoile pour la plage.

• Jérôme (8/5): Petit déjeuner à revoir - Hôtel agréable avec une magnifique vue sur la mer, environnement calme et literie confortable. En revanche, quelques points négatifs : porte de douche défectueuse et petit déjeuner décevant, avec peu de choix et un réassort de viennoiseries difficile, malgré une qualité correcte.

Je n'ai pas testé le restaurant (très cher) ni le petit déjeuner. Petit bémol pour la douche (porte coulisse mal, très peu de pression de l'eau)

• Marina (6/5): Un hôtel qui a l’air mais pas la chanson - Un tout petit hôtel 3 étoiles qui bénéficie d’un emplacement de choix mais qui n’est pas au niveau. Sur un séjour de 7 nuits en chambre supérieur, 4 jours d’affilé le ménage n’était soit pas fait dans la chambre (même après 17h) ou bien qu’à moitié. Obligé de demander des serviettes, du gel de douche, des verres propres etc. La chambre n’avait aucun charme, les serviettes étaient digne blanches, petites digne d’un 2 étoiles, et zéro isolation phonique tant entre les chambres que venant de l’extérieur. Un soir à 21h45 j’ai demandé que l’on me prépare un café au restaurant. Le serveur est allé en cuisine demander et est revenu en me disant que cela n’était pas possible!! Le petit déjeuner était basique lui aussi, pas de salade de fruits et des fruits qui étaient glacés depuis plusieurs jours et la machine à café était en panne.. Enfin, au moment du Check out il a fallu que je fasse refaire la facture car malgré le fait d’avoir déjà réglé mon séjour à l’avance cela n’a pas gêné la jeune femme de l’accueil de me refacturer mon séjour un 2ème fois. • Wilfred (4/5): Très décevant - Réservation de dernière minute, nous sommes arrivée trad à l'hôtel, nous avons était gentil reçu, nous arrivons dans la chambre et nous condtation que nous avons une chambre pour personne à mobilité réduite et qui visiblement est ancienne, meuble abîmé, salle de bain en mode hôpital, sèche serviette jaunie et rouillé bref pour une nuit à 182€ c'est moyen, de plus l'isolation était catastrophique, nous avons entendu chaque passage de voiture et de personne, on entends les voisins du dessus et la lumière du couloir passé sous la porte donc pour ceux qui sont sensible peut vous réveiller facilement, je ne renouvellerai pas l'expérience malgré les bons avis que j'avais pu voir, nous avons très peu dormi et nous attendions une autre qualité de cet hôtel

They managed to fit us in the restaurant, even though it was late and they were fully booked. We had been travelling all day from England. The food was a little pretentious for our taste, but the wine was excellent.

• Jill (4/5): - The room was very tired and dirty. The carpet was filthy and very stained. The toilet seat was yellow and sticky and previous occupants urine stains on the rim of the toilet bowl. My husband had to wipe the toilet rim and seat before we could use it. Disgusting. When we complained to the manager he shook his head and sent the young receptionist to speak to us. We asked to move rooms but they advised that the hotel was fully booked. We therefore checked out the following morning.

• Marilyn (8/5): Super beachside location - The hotel is in a superb position at the centre of Chatelaillon-Plage. Our Superieure room on the 2nd floor faced the sea and was quiet and comfortable. There is a large public car park about 300m away, or parking in adjacent streets. Parking is free outside July and August. Breakfast was good, with a range of bread, baked goods, savouries, etc., although the fresh fruit selection was uninspired. The carpet in our room was quite marked, but otherwise all was in good condition.

• Jacques (6/5): - J'étais seul mais chambre petite si vous êtes 2 personnes. Bruit des ventilateurs des groupes froid dans la cour assez gênants. Petit-déjeuner à 15€ un peu onéreux. À ce prix là et dans de nombreux hôtels, on a des œufs sur le plat ou des œufs brouillés à la demande. Pour faire beaucoup d'hôtels, à 2 nuits de prises, on me propose souvent un surclassement quand il y a peu de monde dans l'hôtel ce qui était le cas ce week-end.

Par pitie changez cette moquette calamiteuse, nettoyez la climatisation et revissez les bouches branlantes a 240euro la nuit on a quelques exigences. Le petit dejeuner est nettement perfectible aussi pour le prix demande. Mais tres bel hotel tres belle chambre et personnel tres sympa on reviendra

• Marina (8/5): Chambre vu mer - Le restaurant de l’hôtel vaut vraiment le détour, des plats délicieux, cuisine raffinée, excellent rien à dire. Concernant la chambre, ça manquait de propreté (toiles d’araignées dans les coins du plafond) et une serviette de douche par personne en plus n’aurait pas été de refus. Sinon notre séjour c’est très bien passé dans cet hôtel mais quelque point à revoir sur la propreté.

• gmbklm (10/5): Very modern comfortable beach front hotel - Stayed for 3 nights. Great location, right on the beach road, a short walk to most of the town. No car park, which is only tricky in peak season or if you arrive on a hot sunny weekend, which we did ! Dropped off the bags, and then looked for parking. Very clean, very modern and comfortable room, with a fabulous beach view. Modern new bathroom, very good bed etc. Staff friendly and professional. Good breakfast, pay extra. A great place for a beach stay. Modern hotel with a bit of character. Deluxe room @£120 pn was good value. Chat Plage beach is truly big and beautiful ! The only downside of the town was that all of our meals in 3 different restaurants in Chat Plage were a bit 3/5. But its a beach town.
• Verified traveler (4/5): Mauvaise nuit froid et bruit. - Problème de chauffage et bruit de travaux tôt le matin. Dommage qu'il n'y ai pas de bouilloire de disponible dans la chambre compte tenu du standing. Pour le positif le restaurant est très bon et le personnel très accueillant. Le lit est confort et l'emplacement au top.
• P Richie (8/5): good little find - It was a lovely hotel right on the front. The room was good and the reception staff were attentive and helpful. We did not eat in the restaurant as we didn't really like what was on the menu, although this seems to be quite similar wherever you go. The bed was a little too hard, as were the pillows but appreciate this is a personal preference. We would stay here again although would try and get one of the rooms with a balcony

Je m'étonne que le poisson soit servi sans riz; avec juste quelques tagliatelles de courgettes.Parfaitement diététique pour les dames... Personnel très accueillant. Juste dommage qu'un'escabeau, ouvert de surcroît au milieu du couloir et chiffons divers soient restés dans le couloir des chambres toute la soirée... C'était pas très standing ! Dommage aussi, que le personnel ricane le matin sous les fenêtres des chambres vous réveillant, et fument autant, ne pouvant plus alors laisser les fenêtres ouvertes, à cause d'une intolérance à la fumée... Sinon, je le recommande, cet hôtel est très bien.
• Verified traveler (8/5): We would stay here again - Our two-night stay was fine. Good position right on the beach, and pleasant staff. We ate in the restaurant on the second night: the cooking was excellent, but the service was very slow, and dogs in the restaurant are something we would prefer not to encounter. Beware that the hotel has no parking — you have to find a spot in a nearby street. Outside July-August, this is fortunately free!

• Verified traveler (6/5): Nice hotel near to beach - Hotel in centre of Chatelaillon-Plage. Nice greeting, was presented with a small bottle of champagne in celebration of wedding anniversary. Superior Room was comfortable, side facing with sea view. Appears some of the hotel is new and some old, has a Michelin star restaurant in the new section, but overall a very basic hotel which was fine as we only stayed for one night. Massive negative was the breakfast, which was incredibly poor value. The hotel seems to be set up to employ as little staff as possible. Essentially it was 15 euros each for a yoghurt croissant and a machine made coffee each! There are plenty of beach front cafes to visit offering much better value.

We had a doubt whether to stay there or in La Rochelle and were absolutely happy for choosing Les Flots. It is what it is said to be in its best: room, seaview, beach. Nothing annoying, nothing disturbing. Just perfect place to spend a night and then experience the region.
• U4764OLiainm (10/5): Comfortable hotel on the sea front - We chose this hotel because of its recommended restaurant where we were not disappointed. The hotel itself is in a great position on the sea front near the casino and a short walk from the town centre. It gave the impression of having been upgraded recently. Everything was well-decorated and the lift was modern and spacious. We did not have a sea-facing room but for one night that did not matter and the first floor room overlooked a courtyard garden. The bathroom worked well - except for the sink which was a bowl sitting on the surface with a large tap over it on which you knocked your head id you leaned forward to wash your face! There is no reserved parking but parking on the street was easy and is free (apart from in July and August). Breakfast was good although we had to consult another guest on how to work the coffee machine which did not seem to be designed to produce traditional breakfast 'café au lait' (although maybe none of us mastered it adequately!). The cofee is did produce was good. There was a good buffet spread with cheese, ham, yoghurt, fresh fruit salad and fromage blanc, cereals and various breads with a selection of jams. We enjoyed our stay at Les Flots and would return. We stayed here 13th June 2018.
• 1Nicole (10/5): Beachfront, near everything, modern and comfortable - Do get a waterfront room... the beds are perfect, the bathroom is shiny and new... you can hear the waves when the tide is high enough (fierce low tide at this beach). The internet is really fast and strong & everyone speaks English or French, whichever you prefer. The breakfast is extra but comes in 2 sizes (the smaller size is express, which is coffe and pastry, which is the one to get, we think... everything is fresh). We ate dinner here twice and it’s the best meal we have had this whole vacation in France... they age their own meat, the fish is just-caught good, and they have their own dessert chef too....
• Glenvar (8/5): ENJOYABLE STAY - We have now stayed in 4 different hotels in Chatelaillon Plage, and Les Flots ticks all the boxes. As others have said, the rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the staff are very pleasant - especially the girls in charge of breakfast (if we have one small negative observation, we thought breakfast was on the expensive side - although the fresh orange juice was wonderful). The location cannot be faulted, although parking can be an issue, as there are meters all along the seafront, and these charge for parking from 1st July onwards. We were lucky and were able to park in one of the side streets close to the hotel on the 3 evenings we were there. We didn't try the restaurant for dinner, as it looked rather uninviting and we aren't into Michelin Star cuisine.
• Claire (10/5): Great new hotel near the beach - It's a great new hotel, the room are nice and modern, bed comfy, the staff is very nice. Maybe for breakfast they could have a better selection of savoury (like bacon and scramble eggs) considering it is 13eur the breakfast you ll expect it but overall this is really a nice à hôtel! I'll go back with no hesitation!
• Belle16 (10/5): The position is SUPERB. Walk out and you are on the beach !!! Just 50 paces or so from great sun bed rental beach bar. - This hotel is absolutely lovely. The rooms clean and new and fresh and modern. The beds so comfortable I thought I was at home and the bathroom lovely and modern and the shower fabulous. It is small and absolutely great. the position is perfection , on the beach and near the market and the casino and lots of lovely bars and restaurants and ice creams and other wonders. fabulous little park nearby with lovely plants. this is a wonderful place ...wonderful town. Breakfast is very good and the staff are excellent. a great atmosphere. There is normally parking all around but this was a big festival so a little problem there but we overcame it. We did not have a balcony but had a sea view . I think, because actually the rooms are tiny, a balcony would give you a lot better moving around . The rooms are tiny with no place to put anything so do not bring much/ you will not need to dress up in this town so leave lots at home and bring just what you need. We adored the hotel and we are fussy. will go back many times .but I do hoe they find a way to put a few shelves in or bedside carinates with drawers and some shelf in the bathroom. OH YES!!! THE BLACK OUT SHUTTERS ARE PERFECT AND FABULOUS. COMPLETE DARKNESS OR HOWEVER MUCH LIGHT YOU NEED AIRCON GREAT. PERFECT HOTEL..The widows open with ease . all good.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Very nice hotel with superb location - Weather excellent . Chatelaillon Plage is such a pleasant resort that you don't wish to share it with others !
• Michelle (10/5): Top class. - Very good all round. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was really comfy. Great staff who are very helpfull. The hotel is in an ideal position, just across from the beach and in the centre of the resort.
• Michael J (8/5): Decent overnight stop. - We had a little studio with good light exclusion but poor sound insulation. We didn`t see the main hotel rooms so can`t comment.
• Jeremy (10/5): Great hotel on the beach. - This was a great hotel. The service was great and the restaurant served excellent evening meal. I had a room facing the beach with a balcony. The view over the beach is great evenin winter. Very modern and I was impressed with having a coffee maker in the room. A very nice touch being a coffee lover. I am sure it is very busy in the summer. I enjoyed going out of season and there was still a lot of places open.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful - Beautiful, new hotel overlooking a beautiful beach. All perfect but make sure there is no car rally with loud speaker all day outside on the street below.
• Phil (10/5): Modern hotel overlooking beach. - Very comfortable modern hotel with excellent in-room facilities. Air conditioning was effective and the bed was very comfortable.
• Patrick (8/5): On our trip from San Sebastian to Paris - Stayed 2 days on our way from San Sebastian to Paris. Was really nice, and located just next to the beach. We booked an ocean view room, and although our room did not have a proper balcony (but instead the french version) we definitely enjoyed it!

• Helen (10/5): Seaside stopover - We received a very warm welcome at this modern hotel. We had a superior room with a sea view and a balcony overlooking the wide expanse of the beach. The room was faultless,comfortable bed, air conditioning, fabulous shower room, fridge with complimentary soft drinks and a Lavazza espresso machine. All we needed for a short break. We were lucky with parking, free in a side street, but it might be an issue in peak season. Attached hotel restaurant was very good, we eat there both evenings.
