- Verified traveler (4/5): Good for the who just don’t really care anything. - Room was not clean, still kind of dusty. Bed wasn’t changed after previous customer, there were some hair still on the pillows and blanket.

- Lauren (2/5): - Our AC was not working whatsoever. The fridge was not cold but apparently we as guests had to plug it in and turn it on ourselves. We called to ask to switch rooms because it was hot and uncomfortable due to the AC and the lady on site told us it should be working and came to check on it. Tried saying it was on the wrong settings and that it would work soon. Never did. Ironically we got comfort from opening a window. Absolutely overpriced and run down. Half of the amenities that are advertised, do not even work!

Have to give clerk PIN number because apparently card machine doesn’t reach the desk no option for apple/phone payments. Rooms unsanitary from the bathrooms to the remote controller. Sleep in your car and save the money if no other hotels are available. Don’t waste your time or money on this hotel
- Luis (4/5): - I arrived and it was raining. The desk lady was rood and looked like she didn’t want to help me with my reservation. I waited in the cold while being wet with rain water for about 15-20 minutes while she “verified” it was me. I felt like I was an annoyance to her for getting a room. They place a $100 deposit, which I understand… but at check-out I requested an inspection of the room because I live 7 hours away and don’t like surprises. The guy who helped me refused to check the room because it was “housekeeper job”. Just hope I get my deposit back and they don’t try to pull some funny $hit. 👎 I would have rather paid a little more for better service, but rooms were scarce, it was Christmas.

- Verified traveler (2/5): - Charged $17 vs 10 dollars "resort fee" and $100 Security deposit. There was a cockroach on my bed as soon as I opened the bed spread. There was some interesting actors sleeping next door that look like they reside there. no toilet paper I would not stay here again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The place was dusty. It seemed like it hadn’t been clean for a couple weeks. The location itself felt unsafe. The images provided seemed to be a better, safer, cleaner place but in reality wasn’t the case. Had to leave after the first night bright in early.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Was looking for a last minute stay before ridiculous rates on memorial day. Hotel manager has been working there for 27 years, the room looked somewhat appealing online. When arriving you could see that this place should’ve been a junkyard.

- Verified traveler (2/5): The dusty star - This place was disgusting you walk into gnats flying in your face the bathroom window was boarded up, the towels were totally used the refrigerator was unplugged but before I can't even open it to plug it in it had a weird smell coming from it so I just didn't there were no smoke detectors or carbon monoxide detectors in the room. The AC had might as well not even existed there were people smoking dope out in the open this place just needs to be shut down
- Hugo (2/5): Terrible worse experience in my life - They were trying to upcharge me for every little thing. This place is ultimately NOT RECOMMENDABLE. DO NOT GO INTO THIS HOTEL The person was completely rude a s i think she was racist. Ultimately do not try to come here, you have been warned!
- Edward (6/5): No visitors - A bit rundown, when I asked about the wifi was told it has been out for 2 months. The no visitors policy is ridiculous, my friend came to see me the clerk chased her down and was telling me from the ground floor no visitors, I won't be staying here again.

- Verified traveler (6/5): AMILITARYMAN - First time in the area with a new unit. Had no idea where to stay so I checked online and this place had the best of the worst reviews, so I gave it a try. Definitely not worth the money. And a $10.00 cleaning fee on top. Thank God I’m use to cool showers. Would only stay there again if I had no choice.

I paid $413 for one night ($326 hotel include taxes, $10 cleaning fee!!!!!! and the rest expedia fees!!!) and usually i pay less than $40 per night for this kind of places. My worth experience ever....

- ChezzB1 (2/5): Worst service ever! - The lady working the frot desk tried to charge me $100 more than the price on Travelocity and then refused for me to stay at the hotel by not taking my online reservation. I've never in my life wrote a review for any business but this place you must stay away from!

- Juan (2/5): - We got there check in got in the room #128 we got ready to get in bed and the first thing I noticed was a blood stain on the bed sheets little one then we laid on the bed turn on the tv so I was tired so I cover my self under the blankets and I notice something moving on the bed sheets so I told my wife get up I saw something moving on the bed sheets and we got up and it was a bug not a spider we call it garrapata or chinche, si my wife call the office and ask for our refund and they said ok
- Verified traveler (2/5): Nope. - Stood in the rain with my wife at 9pm for 5-10 minutes ringing the service bell at the window to get checked in. Nobody showed. Went to the Holiday Inn across the street and contacted Hotels.com to get my money back. Hotels.com got the owner on the line, who refused to give me a refund because of their "strict policy." So pretty much the Stardust Inn took my money BEFORE our stay (payment is in advance online), didn't let us in, and refused to give my money back. Despite this, Hotels.com got me a partial refund (better than nothing) for our trouble. We had to take a short video for proof because the scenario sounds outrageous. From what we saw in the parking lot, the old, unmoved vehicles and stacks of junk in parking stalls didn't leave a good impression. One man was awoken by us ringing the service bell and was looking at us through the window, so I imagine the walls are pretty thin. Honestly, with the trouble trying to stay here, the terrible service, and the conditions of just the parking lot and what we saw, the lower price of this place just isn't worth the headache for the price difference of their nearest and more reputable competitor.
- tedleeper (10/5): Great service - The management at this hotel truly cares about guest satisfaction. The updated rooms give a boutique hotel experience at economy prices. The property is clean, parking is ample, and location great for going anywhere in San Diego.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Don't recommend it - Too expensive for so little. Everytime I tossed and turned the bed squeaked like crazy. The walls were very thin. I could hear the neighbors laugh all night. There's like four broken down rides in the parking lot. I was kind of upset when the desk guy said we aren't allowed to have visitors, if we did I would be charged for it. So my relatives could visit me. So I kept my guard up in case they wanted to charge me for something I didn't do. I took pictures and a video of the place when I arrived. It was in a creepy neighborhood. I wasn't satisfied while I stayed here.

- Mai (4/5): - The room was dirty,hair in the tub, on the shower wall,hair on the floor. The towels were small like hand drying towels and they were also very dingy. The water temperature was luke warm, and this place doesn't even have an ice machine on the property. There is however a mini fridge in the room. I made sure that it was plugged in and put a couple of sodas into the fridge. I went to work and did some light shopping after work. That is at least 10 or 12 hours before I arrived back,and the sodas were still warm.

- margie4angels (8/5): Was really impressed with the cleanliness of out room, Manager was right there to provide anything needed or wanted - had 2 beds, and a fold out couch for 3rd bed if needed, micro wave, refrigerator, TV, Wifi, clean towels and a really clean room. The manager and his wife were on site and took care of anything that was needed. Rooms have been remodeled and so clean

I’m in a different state and paid for the hotel room for them. But because she didn’t have a credit card in hand they refused to let her stay. This place has not heart!!

- SkipB955 (4/5): Mis-matched towels - Wanted a jacuzzi tub. Place was empty. Didn't get one the guy was cleaning a room and mowing the lawn and checked me in Yeah all the same guy. Place was clean but really cheap rooms are small and bathroom smaller. Mismatched towels with bleach stains didn't help either.
